We stayed here on 4 and 5 July. Although the room, view, amenities and breakfast were all fine, we have been disheartened by their 'after service'. A security deposit has been held against our travel card for 3 weeks. Although we have made several calls to the hotel over this time and requests for management to call us back, they still have not done so. We have been told things such as "We don't have to do anything to release the security hold" and "only Tarsha knows how to do that but she's not here" and we were even told "it will just drop off after a month". This last statement in particular was disappointing as the security deposit is being held on our prepaid travel card. This means funds we had saved for our holiday can now not be used until the hold automatically drops off because no one at the hotel wants to notify our card provider to remove the hold. We have called our card provider who have advised us the hotel needs to send them a release form and that a good hotel would never let this happen. We tried to provide the information to one staff member over the phone but she claimed "it's not her job". We will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

Leslie @ front desk is very professional and accommodating. Easy walking distance to food and riverfront. Awesome pool on 15th floor overlooking the Mississippi. High Mark's on Convenient, Quiet, and Cleankiness. Good/Sade parking @ hotel. Great value if you are wanting to stay downtown. Highly recommend!

The room and amenities was nice. Tasha at the front desk was a great customer service representative. Only concern was the price was high.

Great hotel in downtown Memphis, front desk staff is great. Check in is a breeze, rooms are clean and well appointed. I stay here on business all the time but would stay here with the family as well.

The hotel and staff were great. We made an error in scheduling our reservation but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The hotel is a little dated but they keep it clean and relevant. Great experience and next time in Memphis we will stay again.

Fantastic hotel in Memphis. 10 min walk from Beale Street or 2 min from the trolley. The staff are amazing and very attentive. The housekeeping team do a fantastic job, lovely and clean. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Spent time in the gym and in the pool. Great roof top views of the Mississippi River and Dolly Parton bridge. Highly recommended.

Greeter, sorry… ”greeter” “Yolanda” was easily the rudest person I’ve had to deal with over many years using Choice Hotels. Used her cell on speaker during entire transaction to make her own reservation with Choice using employee points. Didn’t say a word or bother to look me in the eye. Gave her my name and she threw my key (in my general direction). I am a Diamond member (not proud of it). This is certainly not the worst Choice hotel but I received the worst reception ever here (which is saying a lot).

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Clean spacious rooms. Good breakfast variety. Great location.

Really comfy beds! Somewhat small TV’s but has plenty of channels. Great location and breakfast! I highly recommend!

Very spacious rooms. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Everything is updated. The breakfast was extraordinary, one of the best free breakfast I've had in a long time. TVs in the room are a little smaller than usual. Parking was easy.

I was really disappointed with our two night stay. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were much nicer. The staff was wonderful, but other than that, I wasn't impressed. The photos of the rooms are decieving. The rooms are small, the bathroom was a half bath with cracks in the plaster. You could very clearly see where a hole in the bathroom door had been hastily patched. The vanity and sink were outside the bathroom and again, it was small. I found the beds to be hard and uncomfortable, the TV remote sucked and my "view" (which I paid more for) was pitiful. The hotel itself isn't the easiest place to find. It's very small, dwarfed by the other buildings around it. If you have a larger vehicle (we have a 3/4 ton lifted truck), be careful because the entrance parking spaces and drive are small. We did have garage parking which was nice, but it was rather shabby. The elevators and furniture were nice, the hotel was clean, and as I mentioned before, the staff was great, but you can just tell that this building is very old (you can smell it too). Honestly, we won't stay at this Comfort Inn on our next visit to Memphis. I had such high hopes!

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of downtown Memphis. It is very close to all major attractions including the civil rights museum. The rooms are very clean and spacious! In addition, it is very quiet despite being on a busy street. The popular Beale St. Is just 5 mi away. There is a trolly that you can ride to different surrounding attractions for only $1. The breakfast was your traditional continental breakfast. The only downfall is parking. It is very limited space. Overall I highly recommend.

Celebrated New Years Eve. Had a great time. Our room was so nice and clean. The staff was super helpful. Hotel had beautiful views and close to beale street and many restaurants. The breakfast was above and beyond exceptional. It was a true hot breakfast. Thank you for making our stay awesome!

It’s a huge building with a good location but unfortunately they don’t have a restaurant. After 9 hours of driving you want to find a place to rest and eat a good meal. Our room had a cracked wall which I reported to the service desk. Every thing else was average. But no restaurant service!

We were walk-ins, after driving for 8 hours from Kansas City with 2 kids, and Shaundra was so great in finding us a room for the night! They also took cash, which is a huge plus. The breakfast was pretty good, too, as far as cafeteria style breakfasts go. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again next trip through Memphis.

My recent stay here was very pleasant. From the friendly staff at the front desk, to the cleaning ladies, to the breakfast workers, everyone was so friendly. The parking garage seemed to be very safe, and the breakfast for a free continental was very good.

We arrived late at night and I appreciated how friendly the security guard was. He helped us out more than once, even with fixing the hot water dispenser when he noticed we were struggling to use it. Moments like these made this hotel truly comfortable for me. I do wish there had been more places to hang towels in the room and that the heaters could be a little quieter, but the free breakfast was great, and the staff even better. My friend really appreciated there being blueberry waffle batter. That was a first for hotel food for all of us!

Most staff are friendly. It's a nice looking place and rooms are as expected except the room we were in atleast smelt absolutely horrible like a wet ashtray. Wasn't just cigarette smoke smell. Needed to buy a air fresher, to no effect. Air conditioner was noisy with a rattle. I cleaned the air filter which had a thick layer of gunk also. The quality of the place is about what you expect, but that smell was just revolting.

Middle of the road type of room and amenities. Sufficient but not what I would consider first class. It would have been nice to have an ice machine on every floor.

Nice hotel for the price, there's a rooftop pool, the hot breakfast was good, our room had a wonderful view of the bridge. Trolly stops just in front of the building, walkable to Beale St. Really cool scale model of the MS river nearby. The only complaints I had were that the parking in the garage was really tightly packed, and we found a fairly large brown spider in our room. I absolutely hate spiders — sorry, everything else was great but spiders are an automatic minus for me…

I made a reservation for the Comfort Inn Downtown Memphis for one night and was given one reservation number but cancelled over the phone. Later on I found out the agent booked two different nights and only one night was cancelled. Was charged $600 for a no show. I would like to rate my experience but found no where to do so. I will ensure that my voice be heard regarding this matter. Choice hotel refused to refund any of my money but give me points. I don’t want any points will not be staying here in the future.

Location is perfect. It is close to all the local shops and restaurants as well as very close to a nice river walk. Staff is super friendly and the hotel is immaculate. Price is reasonable and we will absolutely be staying again.

We stayed at this hotel based on all the reviews I had read and we couldn't have been happier! It was in a perfect location — walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do (except Graceland) ; nice pool with a great river/city view; beds were comfortable; room was spacious. Will stay here again!

Rooms were very nice, clean, and modern. They were able to get us in our room exceptionally early, which was much appreciated. Pool is smaller, but on a nice rooftop location. Very close to Mud Island, but a bit of a walk/ride to Beale Street. Overall very happy with our stay.

Good location. Easy parking, great for getting in/out of town as just off motorway. Hotel dated however well maintained. Rooms a decent size. Breakfast selection good — make sure you get a blueberry waffle! Breakfast staff friendly.

We loved the location, we hear a fabulous view of. The river. We had bicycles in it was perfect for bicycling around and over to mod Island close to downtown and Bill Street.

Comfortable room but hotel undergoing renovations so noisy with a workman outside our room tiling the hallway. Basic breakfast but easy quick check in and helpful staff.

Stayed for a week from 15th 22th of March this year fantastic hotel great location fantastic staff great breakfast. 5 stars all day long.

Location was very close (like a block away) to the trolley line which is full of nice restaurants and takes you to Beale street. Its about a block away from the convention center. If you're headed to downtown Memphis this is a nice place to stay. Nice employees, clean rooms and great location. Many people in my group stayed at another hotel in downtown Memphis and didn't have nearly the same experience.

Best downtown hotel for the price — Tasha and Michael and the crew have taken care of me for over ten years! The river rooms are awesome and it's close to everything. I won't stay ANYWHERE else. If I want to see a duck I'll go to a pond lol!

The hotel is very clean. All of the staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was great. The microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator in the room's are nice. Our room's bathroom needs an upgrade, but overall, my family was very satisfied.
