4/5 overall. Very clean place, shower head was great. Room temp was good and comfortable. One bed was comphy, but the other one was more stiff and squeaky but not super uncomfortable. The bathroom faucet was super hard to turn on. Other than that, it was a decent stay. TJ at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I checked in, parked and he seen my mom, my son and I walk in with our hands full and a big luggage bag that needed taken upstairs. My son introduced himself to TJ and said nice to meet you and TJ complimented on how well mannered my 4 yr old son was and said you can definitely tell he was raised right. I appreciated that so much. So TJ if you ever see this, thank you for your kind words! and to the lady that was there at checkout, thank you for your friendliness and smiles to start my day!

Bedbugs found in room 207 last night. Front desk was neither apologetic nor helpful. We left 2 hours after checking in.

Love the indoor pool during the winter just for the kids. All 3 of my kids are water bug.

Everything is good but the lazy people who start the breakfast. Sign says 6:30 but the employees take it as start preparing at 6:30. It’s always 7-7:30 before it’s ready. Wastes people’s time who think they will eat at 6:30. Lazy people suck.

We had a great experience. Room was clean. Mattress confortable. Air worked well and the staff were fantastic. Good variety at breakfast and great price for the room. Well DEF stay here again when we pass through. Blessings!

Reasonable pricing. Front desk Judy was very pleasant and friendly. Rooms were big and clean. Only disapointment was temp in pool was chilly.

Expensive, not enough towels, no hair dryer… when we asked for one it didn't work, breakfast there is a joke, hair in bathtub. We were not pleased at all for the price.

The lady behind the desk was super nice and the room seemed clean, but the hotel smelled old and unrenovated. The shampoo and conditioner is a 2 in 1, and the breakfast is apples, light and fit yogurt, some breads, cereal, oatmeal, and self-cook waffles. They have orange-passion and cranberry juice. I think it fits the price! A little bummed that there wasn't much of a healthy choice for breakfast and nothing hot besides the oatmeal packets or a waffle. The people next to me were SUPER loud, even when I got in at 1am.

Room smelled funny, likely due to the cleaning products, but not bad. Breakfast was pretty limited. Would stay here again for the price though!

Excellent value for the money. Room was comfy, quiet and safe. Great for a quick nights stay. Staff was very friendly and the rooms looked to be recently remodeled. We loved the hard floors, made the room feel that much cleaner. Only downside was the breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it did fill us up enough to get us in the road until Lunch. Will be staying again when necessary.

There were mixed reviews, but we only needed one night with pets, so we just needed something basic — this Red Roof Inn far exceeded my expectations. I researched price on the various apps, then booked directly with the hotel at the AARP rate and saved $20. Check in went smoothly, the attendant was friendly. The room was perfectly clean — I couldn’t find one hair or bug. The shower was strong and got hot quickly. The bed was firm, no lumps, and perfectly comfortable. The room was cool and we made it even cooler. There was an extra blanket and pillow in the drawer. Plenty of charging outlets. There was a couch, desk, fridge, and microwave. I liked the hardwood floors instead of carpet — since they allow pets, it made it feel cleaner. Breakfast was standard — hot and cold cereal, pastries, waffles, apples, and yogurt. I can see how it could get crowded, but it it wasn’t at 0700. If there had been protein options at breakfast, I’d give 5 stars. Checkout was quick and easy. I’ll be back periodically for business and will definitely stay here again.

I stay here frequently because it’s a perfect midway point on a trip that I make very often. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. The continental breakfast is really just cereal, bread, mini muffins, yogurt, and a waffle maker. But it’s not bad. I do wish there was more variety in what they offered because it’s all pretty carb heavy stuff. The pool is nice, but the exercise room is pretty small and cramped. I’m giving it five stars because it’s one of the cheapest hotels in the area and compared to the other cheap ones in town, it’s a good bargain. Don’t expect the Four Seasons, but know that your savings won’t put you in a horrible hotel in a bad part of town. Lots of restaurants nearby!

Nice but a little quirky staff. The room was wonderful just the bed was a little hard. The only major downside was the breakfast wasnt good at all. Thats really the only reason I rated it a 4 star.

We were treated wonderfully from the time we walked in. Pet friendly 100% non smoking and our room was clean and smelled nice. If you are super picky about things like water stains on the ceiling and small cosmetic stuff like that then I guess you might not be happy. The Jacuzzi was smal but nice, the shower was great. Bed was a bit hard for personally. Fridge was clean. When we go back to Knoxville, we will definitely stay with this location again. Just across the exit Pueblos Grill had some really good food.

I had a great experience with this hotel. No issues whatsoever. The price is average for the room size, everything worked, the room was clean, and the room in general was just very nice. 5/5 would reccomend, and will definitely be staying here again.

Employee was very nice and helpful at check-in. My only complaint (a minor one) is that there is no elevator. But, there are only two floors, so no big deal. Biscuits and gravy would be nice, tho. Or eggs and sausage.

Judy at the desk was GREAT! Pet friendly, GREAT price! Second floor has steps only, no elevator here. Breakfast was all carbs. Hot waffles, toast (no bagels or cheese cheese) muffins, yogurt, 2 kinds of cold cereal… that's it. BUT you get what you pay for… $68 out the door. These rooms are clean. Ac worked great. Hard surface floor is awesome! No carpet! Queen beds. Room 108 was ours. Very nice. Hall carpet still could be redone but nice!

Awesome place to stay. Excellent rooms with a patio. Super clean room! Big extra soft beds with lots of pillows. 5 stars all the way. Excellent employees!

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff; pet friendly hotel. Very affordable & close to restaurants, gas stations, etc.

Room is in some disrepair. Bathroom door is cracked and won't stay closed. Doorknob is loose. Can hear the roar of cars on the highway. The beds are very very very hard (like sleeping on a sheet of plywood). Nice indoor pool, but the pool room is 100 degrees. Definitely not staying here again.

Room was spotless and very nice. I had almost given up on Red Roof after a few bad experiences but this location reminded me of a much more expensive hotel. I would stay here again!

After staying here twice it's clear that there was an attempted refresh but was done haphazardly. New tables and chairs but threads of carpet under the beds where they obviously removed the carpet to change to wood. The AC was extremely loud and old in one room, but another room had a newer AC that wasn't as bad. For the price, it was ok.

We stayed the night on our drive from Oklahoma to North Carolina, it was a nice quiet room with all the normal amenities. The shower was nice and hot and breakfast was better than most. We tried to stay there on our way back but sadly it was all booked up. We will keep this place in mind for future road trips.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are really clean and comfortable and the front desk staff are super nice, friendly, helpful and are knowledgeable in telling you what's around the area. The cleaning staff are super friendly and will help you in any way they can. The owner is a super nice guy. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through Knoxville. This motel get.

I don't need updated. This place is a hidden gem. Good warm bed, spotless room, nice staff, TV works and Breakfast.

Economical, clean and very central.

Staff was super nice and accommodated our late check in. Pretty nice place, had a 2 bed queen, hardwood floors were a nice touch. Rooms were clean, shower had great water pressure. Will stay again on my way back through the area.

Got to the hotel and the lobby looked like it hadn't been cleaned in decades. Not a deal breaker but obviously not a great start. When we got to the room there were curly black hairs on the towel mat sitting on the bathtub. We were pretty grossed out, but were in town for a UT game and wanted to have a good time. When we got back from the game I pulled back the covers and saw a small black bug by the pillow. That was strike three. We packed up our things and drove the 3+ hours home that night. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to avoid bringing bed bugs home with them. I'm just glad we saw it in time.

Not happy. If there were negative stars this might be a five. House burned down. Called and paid in advance for 3 days. Got there and they made a mistake and didn't have a room available. Only hotel in 30 miles with room available and then oops they made a mistake. Guess my 70 year old mother in law who has Alzheimer's will have to sleep in the car.

Great, clean, attractive room — well equipped with iron, hair dryer, coffee maker. Delicious breakfast included free, make your own waffles, toast, oatmeal, and more cold food too. Indoor pool, and dog friendly.

We came to Tennessee to see the eclipse and wanted a cheap place to stay. The Red Inn in Knoxville exceeded our expectations! The room was clean, the pool was good, and the free breakfast was fine. The location is a bit outside the city but it was close enough to find good restaurants. We did not order any services, but Dominoes delivers straight to the room. Very good overall!

I have stayed in several Red Roof Inns, this one by far was one of the best. Reasonable price, nice staff. Overall great service.

I really like this place. Located just off the highway, yet not too close to hear all the traffic. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. I would recommend this place to anyone. I try am stay here whenever I come to Knoxville.

We checked in really late and the woman at the desk was really friendly. The rooms were perfectly clean as well. The beds were extremely comfortable. And while breakfast wasn't exactly a bounty, we were satisfied with it. An overall really good overnight stay.

Clean room. Nice pool. Breakfast display could be re-done to make more welcoming, it was hard to find things. Make sure to add liquid creamer it's a must for coffee drinkers! Good hotel for the price you pay, but staff needs to smile more. Thank you for a nice stay for my family.

Very nice rooms. Beds are firm. Toilets are large. Sorry for the mess in these photos. I forgot to photograph before we put our things in the room. The pool is not heated. There are many parking spaces. Its close to interstate 40 and easy to access. We like that there is no carpet in the room. The floors are clean.

The staff was very friendly, especially Judy at the checkout counter. I was reading in the breakfast room when she walked in to clean up breakfast and offered to get me something else before she cleaned up. The room was clean and surprisingly spacious for what I paid. The hotel was nicely decorated and had a charming look about it, but could use some minor exterior repairs. Overall, a very pretty and comfortable place to stay for a reasonable price. It's nothing too fancy, but high quality for what you pay. And it is located close to several places to eat and right off a main highway. I would stay there again.

We had a great time the room was very clean and the staff was outstanding! The pool is small but my daughter enjoyed it none the less! All in all a good experience and with weekday rate of less than $60 you can't beat it!

It was just ok. I'm used to staying at better motels that have a fridge in room I had something that needed to be frozen n it went bad. Breakfast nothing to write home about. It was ok but I'll be staying at my usual motel/hotels. I didn't know it was pet friendly n I jumped every time a dog barked.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had a party of 4, so we needed 2 beds, which were Queen Size. We pass through this area frequently, and need a pet friendly hotel. This is by far the best of the pet friendly hotel/motels we've stayed at in the I-40/I-81 area. Easy access to highway, gas stations, and restaurants. Our only complaint was the room smelled a bit musty, no mini fridge in room, and the Wi-Fi was really slow.

Clean room for the price. Passing through and caught a quick overnight. I'd stop here again.

The clerk was nice, the breakfast was good, Wi-Fi is free and the beds were pretty comfortable. Rooms are good-sized, I really liked the tables you could sit at. It would be nicer if more rooms had refrigerators. Bathrooms were okay, could be better. Was slightly disappointed that the roof of the inn was not in fact red, haha. Great service for the price in my opinion.

Stayed in Knoxville. Rooms were fine and the shower was great. Breakfast was solid if uninspiring. Service was good but we didn't need much beyond checking in and out.

Guests and staff were smoking on porch of the front entrance in the rocking chairs that are in the hotel photos That was not a good first impression. Room was small, outdated and the comforter was burnt. The TV remote had lots of tape on it to keep the batteries in. The room did not have a microwave and fridge as I thought. I immediately told the front desk and they told me I would have to pay a cleaning fee to be moved to a room with a fridge even though we had only been in the room for 5 min. Also, there is no elevator so of you get a room on the second floor you will have to haul your luggage up. Lots of noise from the highway and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Night stand and table had not been wiped off. Breakfast was OK though.

Room was clean, but a bit shabby and worn down. Front desk manager was fine, but not overly helpful. Breakfast was good — waffle maker, sausage, cereal, etc.

About the 3rd of March we stayed there, our son had one room and my husband and I had another room. They both were awful. My son's room had ants that even by morning didn't go away. Carpet was coming up, the mirror was terribly disfigured, holes in the light blocking shades, chunks out of furniture. Cheap, cheap hotel. Even the staff were just blah. Never will I go there again.

This has become our home away from home when in Knoxville area. Close the University, close to Pigeon Forge, Gattlinburg, and Dollywood. Staff is great and knows us by name. They make us feel like family. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

When I walked into room 118 I was blasted with a small of urine. I'm pretty sure the beds were made of cardboard (I wasn't expecting anything extravagant but was hoping for more than what we got) and I am unsure if they completely clean the rooms due to the public hair on the bathroom sink. I am only giving this place 2 starts because they did have a continental breakfast which was not bad at all, and it was a roof over my children's head for the night while traveling. I wouldn't stay here again.

Very nice hotel, and great for pets. I wasn't expecting much for $52 per night but the room was clean, neat, and well-maintained.

I just checked out my room, room 230, because my bed and my sisters bed was covered in bed bugs! I booked my room through Priceline, they reimbursed my charges, but now I'm up at 4am washing all our clothes in our luggage and itching like crazy. Take heed and avoid this hotel.

It was nice having a suite (and for cheap), but it was quite small and the bed was not comfortable.

The manager of this motel overcharge my account and cost me over draft fees. He also embarrassed me in front of my coworkers and family. He did nothing to fix the problems he had caused and was rude. Will never stay here or any other red roof inn because of his disrespect and not fixing the problems he caused me and my family. Keep in mind if anyone chooses to stay here to pay with cash. They aren't smart enough to run your card properly. To many other motels in this area to have to deal with this kind of unprofessional behavior.

Booked the room on Expedia for $50 so I wasn't expecting much. When I got here I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are huge and very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. I would have expected to pay double for a hotel like this.

Great hotel! This used to be a hotel in another chain, so it is all indoor corridors, indoor heated pool, very nice lobby, convenient location. Rooms were very nice, everything was clean, staff was friendly, nice breakfast buffet, and pet-friendly (no fee for first dog). And, all at a very good rate. We will definitely be staying here again.

The only good thing was the breakfast. The night manager was actually put out that I came and asked if the had an extra blanket. I apparently interrupted his online activities. He was actually sullen that he had to get up and go look. He made sure to tell me the he was pretty sure they were out of extra blankets before disappearing for nearly five minutes before finally producing one. It was all I could do not to bite his head off. This was all after pulling a u-haul moving trailer through the Smokey Mountains at night. It was pretty late when we pulled into the hotel. To have that if of service after that experience was maddening.
