This place is so bad there are bed bugs and roaches in the rooms. The signs say free breakfast nope you get a muffin or toast or a waffle that's all.

A bit run down but the manager and assistant manager are wonderful. Came to town for a dog event and Red Roof decided they were going to cancel our reservations because we had 2 dogs each. Econo Lodge was more than happy to accommodate us and others who had the same issue. By the time we went to bed, there was 5 rooms for the same event as us. I look forward to what Elisha accomplishes with the changes and updates she it's doing.

Never again. The first room looked like it was rented by the hour. The second room was just as bad. The third room was decent enough that we finished out our stay. The housekeepers I think they had one decent one. The upkeep just horrible. Never again. Finally the last straw was no smoke detectors or ones that didnt work they had sprinklers but doubt they worked.

Some nice staff. The GM was trying to accuse me of all kinds of stuff before I rented the room. Lots of police out there at night. So I wouldn't recommend.

We stayed overnight in July of 2018… the rooms were nice enough but the next day my wife begin to itch all over. After another day whelps begin to show up on her in little lines all over her body. She had been attacked by bed bugs while at this location. We really didn't know what it was or connect it to the room until we looked it up online and saw that they were bed bug bites and that's the only Motel we stayed at during the trip. We were out of state dealing with her sick mother but after a week we finally decided we should call and talk to the management. But the motel refused to refund our room price. They said too many days had elapsed between us staying there and reporting it. Yes we should have called sooner. So we might not have got our refund back, but you can be warned that at least one of the rooms had bed bugs last month.

Really nice. Everything was clean and staff was really friendly. Ended up in a smoking room but otherwise perfect for what we needed. Complimentary breakfast, pool was clean, air worked!

Staff at the front desk were more than accommodating. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We had to get under our bed because our cat found a way under there. We found someone's dirty clothes under there and realized they didn't change the sheets just flipped the bed. When I went to get ice. I noticed what I thought was dust in the ice bucket. So I took a towel to give it a quick wipe. It wasn't dust. It was somebody's dried puke. Be aware if you stay here.

Unfortunately, this facility is unsafe. They had a number of rooms with disabled smoke detectors and at least three of them on the third floor did not have working batteries. They also did not have fresh batteries available onsite. I smelled smoke coming from somewhere as if someone were smoking cigarettes in some of the rooms. My husband found that one of the rooms had a bag over the smoke detector (as he was walking from room to room with the night manager, trying to locate working batteries. The room was also filthy and they toilet barely worked. Room 320 and those below it are structurally unsound. This is a disaster waiting to happen. The floor below the window sags at least an inch below the rest of the flooring. You can physically see it the lean in the desk and the sag in the floor. My husband contacted the State of Tennessee in regards to your facility as he could not, in good conscience, allow for the endangerment of others.

I'll say this. The cleaning lady that serviced our room is the only reason I'm even giving them 1 star. Our room, front desk staff, keys, and refreshment options deserved negative stars. That cleaning lady deserves a raise. Her attitude was great. The front desk staff is clueless when it comes to customer service. Every interaction was negative. They acted as if inconvenienced every time I needed to go up there, which was often because our keys didn't work half the time. I asked the front desk if we could get one more set of towels, and I got a very rudely worded excuse that they didn't have any clean at the moment, and that they'd have to give us more after cleaning our room, which would've been fine had he not acted like I was the 50th person to ask and he was sick of hearing it. The guy at the desk when we checked out didn't even speak to me when checking out because he couldn't put the phone down long enough to even mutter 2 words, on an obviously personal phone call by the way. Our room itself was relatively clean, but not at all maintained. The water fixtures sprayed everywhere, and the furniture looked like it was doodled on by children. We didn't even have blankets! We just had 2 flimsy sheets on the bed. There's no excuse for this customer service no matter the price of the room.

Dump, walls need paint, bath tub stopper broken, microwave turns off when lamp is turned off, shower head and fan are missing parts, curtains do not give privacy, so if you are being intimate people walking by will get a show. I am not usually this brutal but good gracious.

Cheap hotel where you get less than what you paid for. Threadbare sheets, not enough towels, broken icemaker on both first and third floor. Narrow parking. Vending machines off limits during odd hours. I would have given a few more stars because the bed was comfortable and the location is easy to find, but I found two live roaches in my room and one living roach in the refrigerator.

Great place some faults but like all places but nice place to spend a night.

The staff is friendly, but they could use a new cleaning crew And need to do a little bit of necessary Remodeling to repair a few things. The pictures online are not up to date.

Johnson City TN what a joke ran down dump parking g lot is filthy cig butts and garbage there so called free breakfast just enough for half the people staying. Our a/c heat in room was literally falling apart had main wires for unit laying on floor in front of it. Also they must hire the maids to manage this place had a blonde maid with glasses harass people hanging out by their vehicles and was rude to everyone if you don't like your job find another. Def WILL NOT use this motel again! didn't expect much for the price but this was rediculous. So much for southern hospitality in this place. Next time I'll stay in Gatlinburg! 38 bucks a night there in a nice and clean environment. Ps fix your so called free Wi-Fi lol did not work the whole time there.

The staff was awesome. Very kid friendly. Grandkids had a blast.

Staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and inviting. Overall it was a great and relaxing stay and I would recommend to friends and family.

Staff was nice other than that hotel was nasty and high prices when Red Roof Inn was cheaper and so much nicer.

Asked to be moved got everything working except remote in the 4th room, no joke, moved 4 times and as far as cheap? May I ask what others paid and what cheap is to them? This room, I asked for cheapest, was $70 for the night and for the out dated and dirty room that's is expensive to me I stayed across town where I got a free hot breakfast and indoor pool for 80 a night so how is this place cheap or did I get the slip?

It's a ok place to sleep but not recommending it. I booked this hotel just the night before we took the trip. All other hotels were full around the area. We just wanted to get into the mountains for a weekend. The price of this hotel is good so I didn't think too much. However the problem only showed up after we've stayed there. The bed and shower are ok, TV is relatively new with chromecast. However the building itself looks very old, breakfast is not complete, there are a lot of items a missing. The juice is not even juice, like a rinse water from the juice tank. Taste bad. Even after the staff changed another cartoon it still not looks like real orange juice. Only coffee and bread looks real, but not fantastic. No milk, no egg, soup is cold. Lack condiments. If you go to that area, this should be the last thing you need to consider, but it give you good sleep (but don't turn on the air condition. There are bad smell coming out of it. )

Room was dirty… not dirty filthy. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone. Think I might just share on social media.

You get what you pay for. Start off, no ice, computers locking up making check in a little long, room had a wet moldy smell, doors have to slam in order to close, nice floors but stained sheets, and by the time I finished my "cold shower" water finally got hot.

I came here with a group of friends. We booked it almost a month early. When we got here they almost gave us one room for all of us when we booked for two rooms. My friend hen later was gonna tske a hot bath cause she was in alot of pain and hot baths help her and it didnt work. So no hot water and our friends next door said the hot water didnt work either. Then the microwave doesn't work either. So yeah up side is the workers here are sweet super sweet actually. The cleaner introduced her self to me and said if we need her at all to let her know. The guy at the front was very friendly and helped us out. This place had issues but the people here are nice.

Rating our recent (Nov 22/23 2017) stay… Stay elsewhere or stay home. I understand this is a budget motel. Expectations must be adjusted. I have stayed at this same place numerous times in the past. I have even reserved multiple rooms there for multiple nights. The place was pleasantly quiet and 3rd floor carpets seemed to be new. Staff had 'system problems' at check in — with multiple terminals. It took entirely too long to check us in. What would it have been like if we hadn't bothered to make reservations? We found the linens on BOTH beds soiled at check in. Staff brought us replacement folded linens quickly. These TOO were found to be soiled. We eventually got two clean top sheets to sleep between. The staff person had to close up shop at the front desk while making up the one bed. We noticed the decorative coverlets on BOTH beds had holes in them caused by cigarette burns. What a wake-up call! To think I entrusted my family's safety to a motel where this happens. There were two beds, but only one blanket. Thankfully, the heat worked well without excessive noise. The TV worked well, the water pressure was acceptable, and there was plenty of hot water in the morning — all are musts. I have stayed at newer EconoLodge motels where there was NO elevator. The ONE elevator at this place was working — at first. It failed soon after check in and remained that way during our stay. Imagine what this meant for cleaning staff trying to get linen carts to the upper floors.

I did not enjoy my experience at all. I had to pay a security deposit on a dirty, bug-infested room. We found more than 3 roaches in our room, then another one out in the lobby. It took me about an hour to connect to the Wi-Fi because the employee kept giving me the wrong password and telling me I was just doing it wrong. After an hour, he fibally brought me a paper with the password (which was completely different from the one he was telling me) and he put it in and it worked and he said "There you go, I dont kbow why you were having such a problem. " Last I must talk about the breakfast. All that I was able to eat was chocolate chip mini muffins. The waffle maker took forever and there was a line, there were spots for the eggs, sausage, and bacon but none had been served all morning. I was very displeased with my stay. The only plus side of the stay was the comfortable bed and the morning staff was much nicer than the night staff.

I had stated before and loved it. This stay was not so good rooms were not clean. Great breakfast.

If you need a hotel room and this place is your last resort then go back home. We booked four rooms two weeks in advance and waited two hours for them to be cleaned when we arrived. I don't have enough time to write all my complaints but if you want to get it up the rear then stay here.

First room was infested with bugs, moved to 2nd floor, in the evening the water temp was great, in the morning, it went from freezing to scalding about every minute.

Very quiet and clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous and the housekeeping staff was pleasant and friendly.

The people who work here are very nice and very friendly. The place itself is fine if you're looking for the cheapest motel in the area. The location is very convenient, parking is ample and the room I stayed in was adequate. It's easy to tell the fixtures have some age on them, especially the bathtub in the room I had, but the water pressure was surprisingly great in my shower. I only saw one bug. It was small and it was on the wall behind the TV right before I smashed it. I can't say for sure, but it could have been a cockroach, or maybe just some sort of water beetle — I don't really know the difference. The floor in my room was not clean — it was either wood or a nice grade of imitation wood (I couldn't tell) and it needed a good mopping to say the least. Just getting up from the bed and walking to the bathroom during the night required washing my bare feet before getting back into the clean bed. Kudos for including a small refrigerator and a microwave, shampoo and lotion in the room I had — but I noticed there was no hair dryer for those who may have wanted one. The bed was comfortable and the TV was a new flat screen. I would stay here again if I was in the Johnson City area because I see no need to pay lots more for the few inconveniences I experienced. I am CERTAIN I didn't carry any bugs home in my luggage, so I'm fine with returning!

Big place. Desk clerk was super nice, but could've used a bit more training. Took about 25 to 30 minutes to get checked in. Not this guy's fault. Should have been trained a bit more in Choice University. As a former GM of a choice hotel, I know the system. The guy at the desk, Craig, couldn't have been nicer. Just wasn't sure how to check us in using Choice Privilege Points.

Nice rooms and great front desk people. Very clean and everyone here is very helpful. I would suggest staying here.

Tried to double charge us. Couldn't find a roll out bed so they gave us a free room, we stayed for two nights and one day we were gone and when we came back we had been kicked out of the second room with all of our stuff locked in. We wanted to leave instead I stay a second night but they refused to give our money back for the second night even if we didnt stay. They took our key for our room before we even checked out so we couldn't leave the room to eat breakfast. Breakfast was small and not of good quality. Floors were nasty. Smelled of smoke throughout hotel. The couch had a large stain on it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless it is the very last option. I will never return.

Me and my family stayed for quite a few days. They treated us great. The guest service was great. Stephanie one of the best guest service representatives I have ever dealt with she made our stay alot easier.

It was okay, especially considering the budget price. I'm not picky and I was fine with the room, but there were a few problems getting my friend's room. That could happen anywhere, though. The continental breakfast was small, but they had biscuits and gravy to die for! Almost made me wish I hadn't moved up north. I'd go there again, but my friend wouldn't.

Thw econo lodge has a great staff very friendly and clean the have drinks and snacks in a vending machine in the main office and the rates weekly are very good so uf ya come to J City check them out.

Amazing hotel! Stayed here for 3 nights and the people are amazing! Definitely coming back here sometime in the near future! Fully recommended!

EVERYONE PLEASE READ! THEY HAVE BED BUGS AND ROACHES! I worked here back in December-Febuary they weren't bad people to work for then. Beside the lack of structure I Just had an incident with a customer which scared me… Now that they have this new management in. They are extremely rude and disrespectful to there guests and select employees. They order bare minimum for there breakfast. And the head Housekeeper KAREN has mentioned recycling dirty towels and cleaning rags so the rag that was used to clean the toilet in the prior room probably was used to clean your sink. The man in 102 said they went 6 months without changing his bed. And not to mention I personally seen with my own eyes bed bug infestation 116 was closed off due to the fact but was just moved in to 145… And in refrence to the non smoking rooms that they wont put smokers in even if they reserved one online the male housekeepr JUSTIN still smokes in them even tho it was said if we got caught we would get fired; his mom is the head housekeeper… And said she didnt want the job she has now and was trying to get fired. This is a disgusting motel to work at and I'd advise everyone to think twice before they lay there heads here…

I stayed at this hotel when it was Motel 6 and it was the best experience ever for a hotel that I've had. The front desk clerks knew me by name and always had my special room ready on the 3rd floor (even without a credit card) I paid cash for quiet and privacy. Service was always excellent and whenever I had a problem it was fixed immediately. Now that it's been changed, I've stayed one time and they refused to grant me my 3rd floor access even when it was nobody hardly staying at the hotel. They really need to bring back the old desk clerks.

This place is disgusting! I was taking a late night bath trying to relax and seen roaches! Called down and they moved us rooms. Asured us they didn't come from them… Then we were going to stay for ONE more night before we left to drive for 10 hours… The morning front desk lady told my fiancé she would put him down as a late check out (12pm check out) and then when the owner came in they could speak… At 12pm my fiancé got a call from a lady name Sandy and she was ignorant to her got an attitude with her and told us to vacate or leave that the owner was sick and she WAS NOT speaking with him… So instead of staying we left and slept in our car… I WILL NEVER STAY HERE NOR ANY OTHER MOTEL 6 EVER! Towels were like hand towels room was yucky… Not work 291 that we paid! Should have went with the Ramada again!

The room was dirty I cleaned the floor it black. I did not get extra towels every day nor did I have my room cleaned dsily, my sink still had the toothpaste from where I brushed my teeth had to ask for extra toes & shampoo. I needed a room Hotel 6 was available I now know why cheap definitely not worth 200.00 dollars I will share my pathetic experience with my clients of over 1 million very unhappy my contact list is massive will ensure your lack of acceptable accommodations are disclosed every way I cam. Blluntly your hotel sucks and is a joke. Watch & learn what I can do to end your business!

Was in town for the NASCAR race. It's nothing magical, but is a comfortable place to stay and within a reasonable distance of the track. Also has a lot of stores and restaurants around. The main problems for me were the Wifi was so bad that I got better reception from the Red Roof in next door. Also the shower head was loose and there wasn't a clock (no worries, have a phone). But the place was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Broken AC vents freeze the first queen bed out, broken toilet seat that slides off when you sit, noisy ticking fridge all night very loud, and ONE kids channel that rarely plays cartoons! Not impressed. Paid till tomorrow so I'm stuck. If this one is this bad I'll take my chances and stay here. Room 246 beware.

Very clean, But very rude staff. A employee named Sandy was extremely rude to my whole family. The AC/Heat is works very well. Blankets were all very thin, some had burn holes in it when we entered the room, Sandy wouldn't give us any extra towels and told us to use the wet ones. The free coffee was excellent, but the Wi-Fi didn't connect sometimes. Allowing pets was a good positive. I had an issue with one of the keys to the room not working, I went to the Front desk, where Sandy was, and asked her if she could fix it, she was extremely rude and had a very smart attitude. There were two staff members that were very nice, a short blonde headed lady and a man.

We stayed 1/3/15, in room The bed is full of bed bugs. We were woke up around 4am with terrible itching and upon inspection found several bugs full of OUR blood on the bed. I informed the front desk and she was very rude. Told us to fill out a paper and somebody should get to us in a week or so. I documented with pictures and proof and have contacted the corporate office about this and also called the local health department about the bugs.

First off we stayed during the race weekend at Bristol, so understandably the rates went up. The regular rate though is $45 and they jacked it up to 150 when we called! By the time we actually got here he was telling people 179 on the phone. Then when we got o the room, there were multiple stains. No soap. And everything felt downright grimy, especially the bed which had multiple holes in the sheets. The Wi-Fi connection in my room was also non existent. Plenty of other hotels around between here and the Speedway, so this joint doesn't have to leave the light on for me again.

I was a little skeptical at first and was actively looking for issues after arriving and checking in. I found that the room was clean and had everything that the ad specified, fridge, microwave etc. Very friendly staff. Internet was a little slow at night but did work. My room was pool side and that was a little noisy but other then that I had a pleasant stay.

Best Motel 6 I've stayed at. Great location, FULL cable line up and not just 20 channels, Plenty of rooms, Great rates, and Clean rooms. The only thing I didnt like were the 2 stink bugs in the room; I noticed the first crawling on my arm and other on the ceiling. This may be due in part to the room being on the 3rd (highest) floor. Great hotel/motel though, with Excellent staff.

This was my first stay at a Motel 6. I came into this stay pretty skeptical but after I had spent the first night of 4, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Wi fi was free and easy. The price paid was half that of any other hotel for miles on race weekend and a great surprise.
