They have a friendly staff and super good breakfast. The shower/tub in my room has some mold and the toilet tissue is not good, but room as a whole is good.

Very very nice rooms and the breakfast they offer is outstanding.

Avoid at all costs. Booked this room and after traveling for 12 hours arrived at 5 am. They were going to charge me for two days to stay more than 6 hours! Guy at the desk was smart and exceptionally rude. They would not refund my money. Will never be back!

A good motel for your money. The property was well kept and clean. The motel is located so you can get to all attractions in the area. The crowning glory of this Best Western is their staff. They go out of their way to aid in any way. I am sure you will enjoy your stay and if you have problem, just ask the staff will know or find an answer.

If you book online double the price! 16% tax and 20 a night per pet. Did not get the room we booked. When we booked we said we had pets but that was never relayed to the check in desk so they gave away our room because they did not know about the pets. So we were put in the back and got no sleep. People were loud and partying at one point a heated argument was heard. Had to call the front desk to het them to stop the situation. Helped some. Don't appreciate being dead tired on a way over priced room! Check out other options don't be miserable!

We booked the hotel from the car during a long road trip home. The staff was throughout the entire process. From the booking to check in and check out the staff was accommodating friendly and extremely helpful. We spent only 9 hours total in the hotel and during that time we were very satisfied with how quiet it was and how easy was to get in and out and back on the road in the morning.

I don't normally leave reviews but, sometimes, really feel it is important that I do so. Here's the bottom line… they were very K9 friendly for my "kids". The main reason, though, was because of their awesome employee, Gabe. Even though I was checking in late, he was very cheerful, helpful, and full of southern hospitality. It was obvious that he enjoyed his job and interacting with guests. And, because I've managed a resort before, I know how important it is to hire individuals that know how to make guests feel special during the check-in process. So, I compliment the management at this Best Western for hiring Gabe. Thanks again for the positive experience!

Awesome hotel with great staff, the pool was nice for the kids and the bar and restaurant was nice for the wife and I took enjoy a nice cocktail in the late evening to relax. The service there was excellent. Only complaint was the complimentary breakfast could have had different options every other day and our air conditioner leaked condensation from running like crazy on the carpet. Otherwise a great stay, we will be back!

Very nice hotel I could not have been happier even pricier hotels have not been as nice. The staff was really nice and helpful. Loved our stay we stayed 2 nights. And the breakfast was very good and fresh and well kept.

This is the nicest hotel I have stayed in in a long time. The price was a surprise not nearly what I thought it would be. The whole place was spotless the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to everyone if they are in the area they should stay here they will not be disappointed.

Nice place to stay. The front desk attendant, Gabe, really went above and beyond to help us as we were arriving late at night. Rooms are a little dated but clean and the beds comfy. They allow pets, so that was really convenient.

Neat and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good and filling breakfast included. Nice outdoor pool. 2 seafood restaurants and Chinese restaurants on campus or within walking distance. Could use some firmer mattresses. During humid times the AC didn't remove the humidity in the room. Otherwise, a great value for the price.

Despite having a very courteous staff, great location, and reasonable rates, this hotel needs major work. The hotel is a bit of maze (Maps would help! ) with internal/external rooms (think hotel vs motel). The hotel was fully booked with guests, yet understaffed. Our room wasn't ready at check-in. We had to request wash cloths (none were left in the room), and then go get them from the front desk (because the single employee couldn't leave the area). The bathroom door didn't close without becoming jammed, and the toilet didn't flush properly. There was visible mold and decay in the room. On the property, the pool was under construction (drained with particles strewn about). On the plus side, the breakfast was plentiful and appetizing. Overall, it was not a great experience, but not the worst.

Love the bar area. Our bartender Paula was a blessing. Took great care of my wife and me. Will recommend this establishment to all my coworkers and friends.

I am at this hotel for a medical conference. The parking situation is terrible, but the biggest problem is the restaurant in the hotel, Rainbow Asian Cuisine. Due to the limited time for lunch, eight people did not get their orders before the lecture restarted. An announcement was made that the servers were responsible for paying for all the meals that were not picked up. According g to a gentleman from Johnson City, this is the norm for restaurants in this city. Please do not give this, or any restaurant in this city your business. This practice is unconscionable!

My sheets had stains on them, the room smelled funny and I was woken up at 1am by shouting in the hallway. Yeah, the shouting isn't their fault, but the quality of rooms leads to bad reviews leads to less classy guests. Leads to yelling in the hallway.

While I was in Johnson City for a professional exam, Jessica and Ed were extremely helpful in making sure everything was so nice that I could focus on my studying the night before. Check-in and Out with Jessica, and Ed going the extra mile by personally resetting the TV connections in my room. An added bonus is the attached Asia restaurant is a favorite of my family, and was excellent as usual. I was well fed and ready for my test (which I passed).

I have to say, the services performed by Courtney, Lori, and Jessica were FABULOUS! Their outstanding personality was so appreciated! Would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

We checked in and the refrigerator in the room was not working. We notified the front desk and were told that due to the hour, they would not be able to swap out a different refrigerator. So, we asked for a different room. That refrigerator worked, thankfully. However, there was no place to hang up anything — no rack, no hangers, no anything. The beds were way too soft! It felt like the mattresses were 20 years old! Overall, we were pretty disappointed as we had paid, in advance, over $100 for our room. About the only good things were the room was clean and since we were in the very back of the motel, it was pretty quiet!

I was amazed at the rooms — they are spacious and well appointed. The TV is up-to-date with connections for Apple and Windows, plus SD and Memory Stick ports. Actually, the rooms I saw of other guests on my party were also looked like they had just been remodeled. The front desk clerk said no, it had been more than 5 years since they were remodeled — but electronics had been updated. Another plus is the excellent restaurant off the lobby. Now the downside — from the outside, the Best Western is not much to look. But if you can just imagine the rooms, you should be able to look past its drab exterior. Ingress and egress are tricky. Although you can turn into the hotel going either wat on North Roan Street, to exit, you can only turn right, North on N. Roan. To return going South on N. Roan, you must pull out, get in the far left lane (of 3 lanes) and then make a U-Turn at the traffic light that comes very quickly once you pull on N. Roan. After the first couple of exits from the parking lot, it was not a problem. But just be aware of this situation when leaving the Best Western. Overall, even given the downsides, I rate the Best Western as excellent for their well appointed rooms, their friendly staff and excellent value for your money spent.

First of all, after a 12 hour drive I was tired and just wanted to get to my king bed room. Upon check in I was told that I could not have a king room as there were none left and I would have to take a 2 queen room. Disappointment Second, the "unfinished" work was not worth the price. The room was OK but not $100 worth. A little more effort and you will have nailed it. Disappointment Third, when I bring an issue to light, I think it is the hotels responsibility to rectify the situation. Coming to you in the morning to notify you that I am extremely unhappy because of the issue that is still occurring in the next room, perhaps there could have been something done at that time. While this isn't my responsibility to "fix" this issue, I will say what I think could have helped at that moment. "I'm very sorry for the in convenience" "could I offer you another room for a few hours" "Could I have a manager call you to discuss how we can help to make this better" "Can I offer you a refund for the night since you were only here for a few hours and you were not completely satisfied"… Any version of the above suggestions would have helped. However, what I got was "oh I hope he is all right"… Meaning the man next door that had woken me up at 4am and kept me awake until 6am when I finally left in utter disgust was getting my empathy. I was complaining and standing in front of you. Not him… I was in awe. And, disappointment #3…

The room we stayed in was ok but had no closet when we first arrived the shower was broken and the heater would not shut off. Problems where solved quickly. Nice friendly folks.

Hospitality manager jane not professional at all booked 2 parties at the same time our family been having functions there for few years now and this was the worse booked a college party also with music that didnt work and no apology and would not even talk to us about it very rude and disrespectful.

Check-in was fast but the clerk didn't acknowledge my rewards status. The bed was fairly comfortable but the room was in need of maintenance evidenced by large rips in the carpet. The bathroom was large. I ate at the attached restaurant and it was very good. I will stay there again when I travel for business because of its convenient location.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They made my stay as comfortable as possible. I travel a lot for work and they really made me feel at home. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised at the rooms in this hotel. They are spacious and fairly clean. The bed left a lot to be desired and I had a backache when I left because of it. The breakfast was awesome and the staff was helpful and very nice.

They are renovating the hotel, great value for the amount of the room. Bed is comfy but pillows are half the size of a normal and not comfy at all. Good breakfast and hotel is near a lot of food options. Front desk staff was very corteous and friendly.

Tried to stay October 20th got to the room at 7pm went out for a few drinks and food and cane back at one am found bed bugs at 1.15! The tried moving us to an adjoining room with 5$ discount we declined and had to fight until 3am to get our money back. Slept in the car because we couldn’t get a room.

Convenient location, good breakfast, reasonable rate. Carpet not vacuumed on arrival. Voice from adjoining room heard through vent in bathroom was so clear, at first I thought there was someone else in my room! When I realized there was not, I was disappointed. I was lonely! I could also smell cigarette smoke from adjoining room coming through the same vent.

Stayed here for work for a week. Shower water temperature varied. Room kept clean tho. Elevator seemed a little rickidy to me. Rooms somewhat updated but not near as much as lobby. Too much focus on lobby and not enough on rooms seems to be a common trend upon hotels. Rooms need new carpet and new mini fridges. Mine barely worked. I'd still stay here again In the future tho.

This Best Western was in a great location in the midst of several dining and shopping spots. Very quiet and peaceful with an above average continental breakfast – we enjoyed the spot so much we stayed a second night. The staff was extremely kind and legitimately concerned that we were having a good stay. Awesome massive outdoor pool and a killer Chinese/Thai restaurant & bar that I ate at twice in one day. Our rooms were in good repair and room service was eager to make sure we had what we needed. We’ll be back. A+

Oh my goodness, where to start. So we booked it blind on Priceline, one of the "guaranteed three stars" places and we couldn't have been more disappointed. The hotel itself is super confusing it looks like three different buildings all mushed together. Staff was super friendly and Nice and the front desk area does a good job of tricking you into believing it's nicer than it is. It isn't. Once we were checked in we were instructed to drive around the corner to the back to what appears to be motel style rooms. We get in the building and immediately I knew we were doomed. Smelled musty and all the vending machines were broken. Get on the elevator and it looked like someone left a wild bear in there. The railings on the side were literally ripped off the wall and hanging, the walls were all scratched up. It was a mess. Our room was clean, we definitely checked the sheets and blankets (side note they give you like a hospital grade blanket, no bueno) but the whole room had a lingering pee smell. After 11 hours driving my husband was exhausted and we just cranked up the ac so I couldn't smell it and passed out. The bed also seems super unsteady. It had like a residual wiggle that would shake us with aftershocks every time one of us rolled over. Seriously, don't do it to yourself :/ spend the extra twenty for a different place. It will make the world of difference.

My friends and I took a random trip, the staff was very accommodating! They let me barrow a wine opener! Plus, when I was driving my 3 hour drive to GA, half way I realized I had left my laptop in the room. I walked up to the front desk and they already had it waiting for me upfront. I've never stayed in a best western but I will again most likely. The rooms were descent and the hotel is connected to a Thai place, which is my favorite food! 100% recommended.

This hotel looked very modern and new from the lobby and outside. The rooms were very clean and quiet with lots of room. The shower was really nice and there was a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning which was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Stayed here on our way to a festival, and had a great night! Staff was super friendly, room was awesome, free breakfast, everything we needed!

The staff was very nice. The hallways and common areas were very clean and orderly. Our room, however had many issues. Every electrical plug in the place was loose. So, if you attempted to plug anything in it would fall out. The housekeeping staff cuts corners. The area behind the night stand is COVERED in squirrel sized dustballs. There were several areas like this. The shower faucets appear as though they hadn't been cleaned. I want to stress that these things are minor in the big scheme of things. I used to work in a hotel and I know the importance of attention to detail. So I wanted to let you all know so you can Levy a decision.

Arrived to an older but under construction. Came for world series of sofball tournament so a Drury Inn or Ritz was not expected. My room was very clean and very cold AC. Housekeeping staff were very pleasant and helpful. Mgr was exceptionally down to earth and very good with the girls and managing the noise from all the teams. I d definitely stay again… great hotel for the price.

First thing we saw was a teal pool with a tint of lime green. Then we were placed in a room with no tub which means we could not bathe our small children. They did not have a crib. Power and subsequently AC went out for hours. We tried to contact a manager but apparently they are not accessible outside of 9 — 5 window on weekdays. Front desk staff could not refund our rooms or refer us to another hotel. They were also rude about their inability to do anything without the absent manager. We ended up going across the street to Holiday Inn with comparable pricing, friendlier staff and much higher quality of rooms.

Checked in late… rooms not ready on time, but staff friendly and courteous.

Really nice staff, ample parking, good rooms, and they accept Corporate Lodging with a very decent rate. There is a restaurant / bar attached with good food. Business center too. The pool was outdoor / closed when I visited. I can't recall if they had an exercise room, I believe they did on floor two. I would go back if in town.

I travel regularly to Johnson City for business and I have stayed at many hotels in the area trying to find my travel "home" when I'm in Johnson City. The Best Western is by far the BEST affordable hotel in Johnson City! The rooms are clean and remodeled, the staff is extremely hospitable and friendly, and the restaurant is excellent. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately between smoke smell coming in through the a/c vent from outside and at least 10 or 12 bugs on bed and counter, made for a poor experience. The main part of the hotel that had inside doors looked nice but the back buildi g was not so much.

Room okay, light over sink made annoying sound and there was no extra blanket to be had either from the front desk or in the room. I was chilly all night.

The event at the hotel was incredible and the hotel staff was accommodating and friendly. I had a great time and I think those with me did as well in part I think to the venue and it's staff.

Let me star by saying I expend 9 or 10 months a year in hotels. For over a year now, I've been staying at this Hotel when am in town for bussines, wich is every 2 o 3 months for the most part is a decent property, its an old hotel so u may end up in room like a motel… (rooms in the back very back of the building) yes entrance to your room directly to parking lot, seems like some rooms the ones inside of main building are remodeled, some had new mattress some are old, decent bathrooms. A bar at your hotel step door may sound fun for some people, is not so much when on the weekends you have to walk and deal with drunk indivuals to get to your room. Staff is courteous and helpfull… Wait thats until you left behind something in the room at check out, 2 weeks ago I left a BRAND new pair of jogging shoes, when I called back to ask for them back, all I got it was nothing talked to front desk clerk she couldnt do anything promess to call bakc and never did, the reach for the "MANAGER" same result he told me the housekeppers in that floor had been working for 5 years and never had problems, he promisse he will review the cameras then call me back its been two weeks am still waiting for the phone CALL… So if u stay here just remember to triple check your personal belongings when checking out because its very possible if they have some value you wont get them back!

Nice hotel. Truck parking available but not easy. If you have a car hauler I recommend you go here only if empty due to tight turns.

The place is clean and has good house keeping and the parking lot looks really goods as well the good is good.

Hairs on the sheets molded food on the floor by the fridge and dirty thongs by the bed they gave us a new room that was clean only good thing to say about it.

Unfortunately more things were wrong with this stay that compelled me to write this review as a warning to my fellow travelers. The internet didn't work and nobody seemed to care or do anything other than to tell me it could be a problem with my setup. How condescending. Rooms were dinghy and the key card always stopped working, which meant you had to walk a long distance across the parking lot and roadway and restaurant, on the outside, just to get to the front desk. Did I mention the internet didn't work and nobody cared or seemed to fix it? I asked for room service and new towels, never got it the first or second time I asked. Cleaning staff were very LOUD in the hallways — what are they yelling for — they were "talking" from different rooms to each other? Why do you have to step on a strip of mud/dirt from the parking lot just to get to the side walk? The guy next to me in the non-smoking room was smoking and I could smell it it in my room. I asked the staff to do something. Ditto. TV stopped working. I tolerated all this for too long and finally left on my last night for the Holiday Inn — — I should have done this sooner.

I was in the shower the second day I was here, room service came in a stole 20.00 off the bed even tho they are not supposed to go in a room when it's occupied. Clearly she heard me in the shower, management insisted they never experienced theft and they have protocol about goin into rooms so I guess the 20.00 out of the 135.00 I had on the bed grew legs and decided to slip under the door not to mention it was my company's money. Secondly they left a bag of trash on the dresser that wasn't even my trash. They are unprofessional and thieves. I will never ever lodge at a best western ever again.

Me and my family stayed here a few weeks ago and it was excellent. The rooms were updated and new, the staff was great and theres a great restaurant in the hotel. The rooms seem to be bigger then normal. We will definitly be back here.

We have a dog so we were put in the rooms that were not attached to the updated part of the hotel. Do not accept these rooms. When we arrived, we were told that there was no phone service in the room because of rennovations. The room was basically an old howard johnsons' variety with a new coat of paint. Supposed to be non smoking, but someone who stayed in the room didn't read the signs. we learned not to close the bathroom door all the way because it got stuck closed. The remote for the TV didn't work. There was only one set of towels. The nearest ice maker was on the second floor in the rennovated part. It didn't work. i reported most of these problems, but nothing was corrected. I actually had to go back to the desk to get the extra set of towels. to top it all off, we stayed an extra day because we got finished too late to get on the road for home. When I tried to put the room on my credit card (the previous nights were paid by my husband's employer), I was told it was $91. Yes, $91. For a room with no phone, no remote and a do-it-yourself attitude toward it's guests. It is $15 a night more for a pet, even though the room was left a good deal cleaner i'm sure than they are used to. if you've ever stayed at a drury inn, you know what service is. This place is a disaster. maybe people who stayed in the main part had a better experience. I feel sorry for the restaurant that's attached.

This place is a disgusting dump/dive! Wow! Website is very deceptive in presenting it. Filthy does not even come close to describing the room we had. Crusty stained carpet, GROSS mildew bathroom, missing caulking, dents and stains on all walls. Bathroom door opens halfway before hitting the tub? And the elevators with the dirt/mud encrusted floors and nasty carpeted walls are umm. Gross. Not to mention the guest room cards on the elevator floor that housekeeping just ignored. Oh and forget about "free high speed Wi-Fi" Best connect was 11mbs and was USELESS. Originally booked for 3 nights — evacuated after 8 hours to the Red Roof Inn! DISGUSTING! Wish there were minus poor ratings because that is what this dump deserves. Never again at a Best Western! Holy crap! Still cannot believe this NASTY experience. This place makes my hometown of Detroit's worst feel like opulent palaces. However — props to Cootie Browns down the road — GREAT FOOD! A MUST.

I was very surprised at how nice this place was for being a budget hotel. The rooms were nice and clean and had a fridge and microwave in them. The wireless internet services was pretty fast as well. The garden to the pool was beautiful and we loved that they had heated towels available poolside for you to use! As part of our stay we were also offered a free drink at the restaurant downstairs which had really good food. The next morning, we were treated to one of the best free breakfast buffets I've EVER had at any hotel! It had everything you can imagine! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
