What is the # 1 reason you get a hotel room? Because you need a place to SLEEP for the night. Our room was within feet of the front desk. Also within feet of the front desk (and our room) was a room with a dog that would not stop barking. I went to the desk and explained that I was asleep, but was disturbed by this dog that had been barking for the last half hour. I was told by DONNA that she didn’t hear a dog. BRIAN said he could hear it. (Great. But he let it bark and said nothing to anyone and did nothing to stop it) Now Donna said she heard it. (There’s NO WAY she didn’t hear it before, but waited for it to disturb other guests) She attempted to call the occupant of the room. No answer. She said she would try again in awhile. Options: 1. ) repeatedly call occupant’s phone 2. ) check to see if the dog was barking because the occupant was unconscious on the floor and the dog was barking for help 3. ) move us to another room farther away 4. ) call police and animal control to enter the room These are only a few options, but NONE were effectively attempted. So I guess as long as I couldn’t sleep for a few hours while the dog barked, I’ll review the hotel. Now it’s morning and time to get up. I couldn’t be more exhausted. Money spent and completely wasted. I rated this with one star ONLY because I couldn’t give it zero stars.

BED BUGS NO REFUND AFTER MY 5 day $1, 300 stay. And my next bike week trip in Daytona from these infected sores IS CANCELLED I’m very sick… I will keep writing reviews until I’m fully refunded worst experience if my life!

Came into the room and it looked horrible. Broken dresser drawers, stains ALL over the floors. I was afraid to sleep in the beds. I checked every bed before having my kids sleep in it for bed bugs. Lucky there wasn't any. Brought the lysol spray and sprayed every bed. Brought clorox wipes and wiped down everything. Found a bottle cap with something in it and a hair pin on the TV stand that was never cleaned up. If we didn't need to sleep so bad and find a room we DEFINITELY wouldn't have stayed here.

Rooms dirty upon check in (dirty linen found on pull out bed, room smells like cigarettes, cigarette butts found on floor, child’s shoe-potato chip bag and chips-and other things found under the beds), carpeting throughout dirty, full trash barrels in hallways, elevator seemed sketchy, and pool was dirty throughout stay (which we shortened), just a few reasons why this is the WORST COUNTRY INN & SUITES we’ve ever stayed in (across all 50 states we’ve visited). I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Patched walls, wreaks of smoke, stains on walls and mirror! This place is grosse!

I was laying in bed and found this along with bite marks on my back, arms, and stomach. I went to the front desk and told the front desk associate and before she changed my room, she proceeded to tell me “she didn’t know what type of bug it was” as if THAT CHANGES THE FACT THAT I GOT BIT AND IT WAS IN MY BED… IN A ROOM THAT SHOULD OF BEEN CLEANED!

GREAT STAY! Affordable price (especially over the Carolina Country Music Festival weekend), super clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff… and an awesome hotel for those needing to travel with an (emotional support) pet. I'd definitely recommend this hotel! It's also perfectly located from Myrtle Beach festivities and shoreline.

Very comfortable rooms for the price. Centrally located with several stores and restaurants close by. We have stayed here many times.
