Had the opportunity to stay at this establishment in October on my first trip to Greenville South Carolina. Staff was professional and the king size room met our approval. I would gladly stay again. The location is central to many restaurants and other stores that are in walking distance. Downtown Greenville is about 20 minutes drive (depending on traffic)

Nice staff and clean rooms.

BED BUGS! We've stayed in this place before and never had any issues, this time MULTIPLE people in the hotel were complaining of bed bugs… they said they would give us a refund. Then they said ALL complaints were FALSE and there were no bed bugs then not 5 mins later the lady says the owner (who is not even at the hotel at the moment) says its our fault they have bed bugs so we need to get off the property today. How you go from false claims no bed bugs to bed bugs in a matter of minutes. Definitely do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!

Love it got good rooms and staff good to.

While I no it's not there fault but they had a gas leak, which everyone had to come out in the cold… no one came to our room to let us no. Thank God my son was looking out the window… hair all over the bathroom and rag… no sodas in the machines… want stay here again.

Nice rooms and very clean and good looking. Guest services very friendly and helpful to me and all the other people that came out and in. They seem to go out of there way to help you out with any questions or concerns. Will see@ Breakfast in the morning check back with you all in the morning.

Staff was great. Michelle check us in was very friendly and professional. Room was clean and comfortable. They are in middle of remodeling but things was quite and clean for guests. They offered complement breakfast it was good and fruit and pastries was fresh. Outside was clean plenty of light at night. Everyone was very nice and accommodating with extra towels and questions. Cant wait to see when upgrade is finished.

I booked this room on the way home from an away trip through Choice Hotels. The building was under renovation construction, but the room was well-appointed, clean, and modern. The ice machines worked well and there was plenty of parking to accommodate my car with a U-Haul trailer. The breakfast was standard fare, but the dining area was bright and welcoming, if not a little crowded. The location is great; just walking distance from a nice variety of restaurants and no less than three grocery stores to boot.

This hotel is currently under renovations and I am mindful of that. The place has really cleaned up but still has work to be done. My room needs the tub replaced. It sounded like I was going to fall into the downstairs tub the way it creaked. The bathroom door would not secure shut and the latch on the door to the room was broken off. The rest of the room was very nice.

Average room. Need to finish construction asap. The breakfast while free was terrible.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Staff was friendly. There was construction outside but they were courteous of typical sleeping hours and stopped well before dark. Breakfast was waffles, cereal, fruit and some various bread type items. Most importantly, no bed bugs.

This is a very busy location that is convenient for travellers. The buildings are undergoing renovation, and as much as they try, it has a very unsightly appearance. Inside, all is clean, and the service is friendly. Good, basic sleeping quarters.

Let me start by saying, I am not sure what event was going on in Greenville, but all hotels were pricey/sold out so we lucked up finding a room at all. I booked a suite for my husband and I. They are doing construction/renovations which we didn't mind. We walked in the room and were pleased with the upgrades, however, after setting the air to the lowest temp. The room never cooled down after 3 hours. We went to the front and they asked if we had two units in the room, I said no. Luckily they always keep an "emergency" room. Where do I start?! No room number, almost didn't see the room, had to use my side just to open the stuck door and slam it to close it, window was wide open with a hornets nest in the corner. I quickly closed the window and made sure no hornets were in the room. The smell… it smelled like someone just slug bottles of cologne all over the room and maybe that is why the window was open. We sprayed Lysol but it didn't help. We took showers with the door open trying to air it out, didn't help. Both my husband and I are currently sick from the smell and how hard it was for us to breathe. We were tempted to go back to our original room and just sweat but we would've still ended up sick. We will probably not stay here again. The staff was very friendly though and did try to find a solution for the first room, just couldn't do anything about the second since there were no more rooms.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was disrespectful when we asked them to quiet down our neighbors at 3am, who were drunkenly singing and hitting the walls. The floors in the room were uneven and felt like we were walking on huge cracks. The bath tub was installed so poorly it would creek every time you shifted weight. Please do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This place does not deserve any business.

We tried booking through the Choice app and via econo lodge online as well as other online sources, but none would process. The only thing it said wasI had 14 minutes for reservation and I had to pay when we arrived at motel. Upon arrival we met a disgruntled employee whose people skills were very low. I tried to explain to her what was happening she wouldnt even look at my phone, she was snappy and her only comment was call and make a reservation. Both my partner and I called and neither of us ever spoke to a human. We were on hold for 20 min. When I went back in asking her for a. Number to reach someone she gave me a number where the office was closed. When we finally decided to take our business else and I told her we would just go somewhere else she didn't even try to get us to stay. We were not rude as she was to us. I was annoyed but kept it in check. I was really disappointed in econo lodge and choice.

There's renovation construction going on at the time of this review that really wasn't a bother. Also, I can't tell you if my room has already been renovated. My opinion: I hope not. The pics uploaded are not the at time of check in but morning after my stay. Sorry, really tired the night before. With that said… it's okay. Nothing special to start off with. The property exterior is taken care of and in good repair. No trash in the parking lot or overflowing out of the cans. A tidy presentation. On site parking is plentiful. The room is average — not the best not the worst. The facility interior looks like any other that's had a horde of people come through at one time or another. Hence the well deserved renovation. The cost at this time with tax is $88.00 for a queen and $107.00 for a king. To me, the price point for the queen would better set or fair at $68.00 but ehhh, it'll do. There's a little breakfast bar that is really basic — no frills, it's open from 6-9am. The coffee is good. So far nothing is a deal breaker here and this is just a place to flop and shower but the facility is located next to I-85. I mean right next to it. Throw a stone next to it. Good or bad you'll hear every Southbound vehicle whooshing by. Especially the tractor-trailers. The staff encountered on shift were friendly and welcoming.

I stayed here for one night for a track meet in Taylors SC. Not too bad. Rooms are very small but clean. Just a few minor things can be touched up. This place has potential to be a really nice. I think the maids need to be more detailed on cleaning. Hair clogged sink but it not a real big issue. Staff was nice. I mentioned I dont smoke. I read the reviews and a few people said they charged them for smoking and they dont smoke. We got a small laugh in cause she knew I read it. However, overall it was ok for my money. I stay again if needed.

Nice. Lots of construction going on outside though. And the halls ans elevator smelled like weed. Other than that the room was nice.

Make sure you get the room you paid for! Apparently double beds in a pint size room are going as QUEEN SIZE these days! The manager was rude and nasty when we asked for a bigger room / bed. We were told flat out “NO”. The cleaning staff walked in our room with a do not disturb sign on the door, and then proceeded to the front desk to inform management she smelled cigarette smoke coming from the room. We don’t smoke! (This is a scam the manager is running. She’ll keep your deposit, check out the other reviews. ) Then, we were thrown out! Never in all my 50 years have I had such a terrible experience in a Hotel/Motel ever. The manager is a NASTY WORD and a LIAR! The rooms were clean and they had a nice breakfast henceforth the ONE STAR I gave this atrocity!

Omg I used to love this place and went there pretty often. Well now the want a 100$ deposit with cash instead of 50$. I complied. I was only there for about 6 hours. I went to check out, they checked my room before returning my deposit and said it reeked of smoke. I swear on my life I didn't smoke in there! I'm a smoker! The smell is in my hair and clothes! And I couldn't even smell smoke in there. Well it's a scam because there is no way for you to fight them on it so BEWARE! I will NEVER go there again and I'm warning everyone I know!

Experience Checking — in went from simple to " wft" & 45 mins later. When. Checking in I was advised by customer service rep at front desk. their was no reservation my name from hotwire I made the reservation online at and at 4:02 I had my confirmation email from Hotwire. I've been advised by bass Hotwire that the reservation is in real time to the property and Choice hotels reservation confirmed it's in real time. With that being said the Econo Lodge had my reservation before I walked in the door on computer and fax to them. I am the choice Privileges & and while checking in the CSR could not find me in the system she kept trying to run my credit card that was on file for Choice Privileges and advised me that I need to do another form of payment she don't know what happened that the booking from hotel from Hotwire did not come through and then I was probably screwed out of $65 she even called her supervisor advised her that it also did not go through and I would need to pay again for what I've already paid for thru hotwire I had a confirmation number from Hotwire the customer service rep did not want it did not need it because I did not have a reservation. & what. Good is it. 15 mins later I speak to a customer service rep at Hotwire & and she confirmed what I already knew that I had a reservation I paid for.

Great rooms great service great price, but a credulous AC /heating unit and proximity to the highway can be a little loud sometimes.

Nice rooms, "breakfast". Day receptionists rude/condescending. Felt like I wasnt welcome. Stayed almost 2 months in a "suite". Rate increased 3 times. That said, it's a very quiet place less I 85. No junkies out n about. NO bed bugs.

I was pleasantly surprised at the hyper modern and new decor. The room was tiny but the bed was very comfortable. The staff treated me well checking in and out.

Good price but you get what you pay for here. My room smelled like an ashtray so I went to call the front desk to be moved and the phone doesn't have a daily tone. Very 3rd world. The time on the clock is off by 40 minutes. My advice: keep looking, I wish I had.

Our stay was fairly standard for an economic lodge. This was was inside access instead of outdoor. The first room we got had a bad cigarette smell and the front desk got us into another room immediately. She was very friendly about it as well. The break was exactly as you would expect. Overall a pleasant experience for a one or two night stay.

Very clean and near place. The ppl there are very helpful and it is located near everything shopping eating fine dining or fast food. I love this place.

Got to Econo Lodge at around 3am on 9/16/17 exhausted from driving 14 hours. Went straight to bed without bringing in any luggage just the clothes on our back. Woke up the next morning to find bedbugs. Put in cup took to management. Immediately left. They did refund what we paid. Called today because I am battling bedbugs at home now n they do not even have any information on our registration or stay. Unacceptable for a business. What responsibility are they going to take for this? Probably none! Kids tried to get breakfast before we discovered the problem n there was only rotten fruit n muffins did not eat anything. Maybe I would have let this go but I just had to throw away my sons bed because of this problem. Why am I just contacting them? We found a couple a couple days after we got home, disposed of them thought we were good. Son n grandson woke up with bites but couldn't find anything. Treated room. Then more bugs n more bites. Continued treating searched room. Finally found what I hope to be the problem in the cracks of the headboard on my sons bed. I am furious to have to go through this, to call n be told they don't find our information. Also the window to the room did not lock n you could just walk up n push the window open. Glad we did not stay any longer.

Okay priced, quality of room depends on which room you get. Have stayed there 3 separate times and the last visit was really the only one I had complaints about. Single bed rooms are small and do not come with a fridge. I have only found the ice machine on the 1st Floor. Continental Breakfast is pretty decent.

They were in the middle of a remodel so my review might change of ever I do return but that won't be for at least a year or 2. The positives were the friendly and helpful staff when we needed anything and when we did have a problem with our first room the managers were very apologetic and moved us to another room. Also for the most part the rooms were clean and housekeeping was punctual and showed up about the same time every day so we knew when to be there or not. Now I do h…ave some criticisms and none are major but a lot of little annoying things. We did have to move to a second room as I said before because of a problem but in our second room none of the drawers would open which was no biggie we just lived out of our suitcases. Also the toilet itself was only like 12 inches off the floor and not exactly secured to the floor very well. Not a big deal for us but an older couple of someone with difficulty getting up and down might have trouble. Never have I seen a toilet so low; no squatty potty needed LOL. And then the water pressure in the sink was hit or miss. Sometimes it would be fine and normal then just inexplicably go to barely more than a trickle. Also the vent fan in the bathroom did not work at all so the room would fill with steam when you showered. And as I said before the rooms were generally kept pretty clean, only exception being the really high corners and edges of the ceiling.

Room was small but clean and very comfortable. Continental breakfast ok. Excellent location! Tons of restaurants near the hotel. Walmart close by. Good value! Would definitely stay here again.

Had a queen size room but the room was small and the bed looked like a full size not a queen size. I asked for a late checkout when I arrived and the next morning they were knowing on the door and calling the room. When I was getting off the elevator the girl that works the front desk was getting on and asked me if I was checking out and what room. I told her yes and my room number and she stated that she was on the way to my room because it was past time for me to check out and I told her I had a late check-out and she said oh night shift forgot to inform them of that.

Bed bugs. There are bed bugs. My job is the upkeep of my body and now I have swollen bed bug bites on my face, arms, legs and a little on my stomach. I am extremely disappointed in this hotel. Yes staff were nice from what I could tell only staying one night. But I truly am disgusted in the hotel. As soon as I walked into my room there was a roach on the wall. I am not one to complain but this was truly the worst experience I've had. *** just noticed I am not the only one to experience the bed bugs and their post is older than mine!

I would not recommend staying here. It is an adequate stay at the most, and reminds me of low income housing. The paint in the bathroom is chipped and peeling, the faucet sprayed all over, the bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, the tub drain was clogged and drained extremely slowly, the shower curtain is too small and releases water onto the floor, and the hallways to the room smelled of BO and alcohol. On a positive note, the beds are comfortable, and the AC worked wonderfully. The Continental breakfast consisted of stormlight mini muffins, waxy sour apples, and some coffee. This place needs a lot of work, even for the cheap price.

We stayed here for the 2017 eclipse. It served our needs. Checkin was quick, staff was friendly. Air conditioner was already on and running, but a bit of a must smell. Overall room was clean. Bathroom could use some updating, paint was faded or only 1 uneven coat of paint, and the floor creaked super loud in the tub and the wall adjoining the interior of the room. But all in all it was good enough for our one night.

It was all good for $61. And change. Real clean. New carpet in the room. Real eggs and sausage gravy for breakfast. A better Breakfast than I expected. The room was small but did the job. I should mention the window has a bed settee thing over the air conditioning unit. I like that touch. It was a micro tel at one point. A good thing.

The front desk staff is very polite and very nice. I can't say enough about the gentleman that catered to my family the first night. He was very helpful and attentive. My family and I stayed two nights. The first night I was given a room that someone else had already occupied. The gentleman was quick to fix that though. The morning of the second night I decided to go down for breakfast, the biscuits were hard the eggs were soggy and not really fluffy, and they were completely out of orange juice. The manager opted to refunding my choice rewards points for my stay only contingent on the fact that I checked out of the hotel. So basically because I made a complaint I couldn't stay another night even though I was willing to pay for it. Seems like customers aren't allowed to complain about anything or they won't be welcome anymore at this hotel. That's bad business. The room was satisfactory for the most part although the toilet seat had a burn mark as seen below. Rm.

Pretty gross BUT… The bed was comfortable and felt clean. Bathroom was scary. Probably the worse looking hotel I have ever stayed in. Chic the front desk with the lipstick tattoo on her neck was friendly. She was the only staff I had contact with. Hallway smelt like weed at night and early morning however, I liked it much better than the smell that was there when I checked it. Hotwire burned me:) :) Slept like a baby though!

You get what you pay for. First room they gave us smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. Then they moved us to a new room but it was more outdated than the first (not a problem) No refrigerator or microwave. Decently clean. Somewhat stiff mattress. A/C was pretty loud and could occasionally hear road noise. Sub par breakfast; no meat of any kind, no bagles, no Danish's, etc. Staff was friendly and very responsive.

I booked my room the week before. Requested the third floor and got room 314. There wasn't many people there but it feels like even though I reserved I got the worst room there. All the lights were blown out except for two of them so nobody checked the room. There were two massive holes in the wall. The shower rod in the bathroom was broken so I couldn't close the curtain all the way. Rusted towel racks and no stopper in the shower or the sink and I lost an earring. Had a light blow out when we're there too. Not enough toilet tissue in the bathroom. Also people were trying get us to check out BEFORE 12. First they knocked and then called us like we had gone over. Don't know why because our room looked like crap before so I don't know the rush. Also visible stains on the sheets. Possibly the worst hotel I had stayed at. There was renovations happening on the third floor and was never notified about it. TV kept going out as well and the ice machine was broken. Overall a bad experience when I was trying to have a nice birthday. Definitely won't be back again.

We were given a non smoking room that was a wreck. It was on the smoking floor and had been smoked in a lot! This was so nasty that we couldn't even stay there. At midnight after long flights we ended having to find another hotel.

20 interstate dr 1 queen size bed Room was acceptable could have used some paint. Staff VERY friendly. Would stay again.

Comfortable room and bed. Tv is older with a small screen… internet goes in and out which is difficult if you're trying to work. The staff is nice. Its inexpensive but don't allow pets.

It's okay. Don't see what people complain about. Clean hotel. Decent rates. Acceptable breakfast. Friendly staff.

Perfect for the price. Best shower I've ever been in, couldn't believe the water pressure and how hot the water was. It was great. Air conditioning was ice cold. Although the room was tiny and not perfect and the TV was the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel it was still well worth the money getting a good night's sleep with ice cold air conditioning and waking up to the most perfect hot shower I've ever been in.

Positives: reasonable price, friendly staff for the most part, and good breakfast. Negatives: room didn't seem to be cleaned (hairs on pillows and sheets), and room had roaches (notified lady at desk but was rude about it).
