Stayed at Hotel Tillman while visiting my son. All staff were very friendly, clean comfortable room and amazing breakfast! Would highly recommend this Hotel!

Perfect Boutique Hotel for your next visit to Clemson. Very clean, great atomosphere, nice in-room amenities. Modern decor while still honoring the college town spirit. I had the pleasure of chatting with the Night Auditor, Josh, as he set up for breakfast. (I'm an early riser) Very nice young man who seemed to genuinely care about our stay. As a fellow hotelier, I know what to look for (where corners are cut… or not). Knowing what I do, I am impressed. I definitely recommend Hotel Tillman!

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff is very nice. Our room and the elevator did have an off smell though. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel; the sausage links were very good!

Please be cautious of hotel policies. This is the first negative review of any establishment that I've ever written. I called to make a reservation a week in advance for just one room and literally upon hanging up the phone realized I did not need the room. Within 1 minute I was back on the phone canceling. They then stated they needed a 45 day notice for such. I asked to speak to the manager Mike. Mike immediately agreed to cancel my one room reservation. However they continued to charge my card and upon my questioning the denied ever allowing the cancelation we'd just discussed.

The staff was courtious, the room clean, good breakfast and of upmost importance the bed was very comfortable. Many beds in motels are too firm. Our bed was great. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is nice. It is small but has plenty of ammenities.

Got there very late and got very little sleep, but the accommodations were very nice. And the breakfast was way better than I have experienced at other hotels. I expect we will stay there again when visiting family close by.

I booked Hotel Tillman for $169/night, which was pricey for this sub-par hotel, especially not during football season, but I needed to be in town to help my daughter that night and didn't have a choice. Then, three days later, a few days before my trip, the hotel intentionally cancelled my reservation with no explanation! They then posted their remaining rooms at their new price of $299/night. So basically, they cancelled reservations that were already booked in order to raise their price and charge an outrageous rate to other unknowing customers in a time of increased demand… Price gouging at its best! If this is the way they do business and treat customers, I will never stay there, and I will tell everyone I know (1000's of Clemson friends) to never stay there! And I will post this review on Expedia as well.

What a great town! Hotel was top notch for the price. Cookies and Starbucks are free. Could you want anything else. Great linens, big shower and above avg toiletries. Close to everything!

My room was clean, the staff was very courteous, and the prices are reasonable.

INFESTED WITH BED BUGS NEVER AGAIN This Place has bed bugs they bit me several times I spoke with the owner he responded with sense of urgency but eventually started speaking like any hotel that doesn't want to be know for having bed bugs. He did volunteer to dry my cloths to kill bugs. And offered another room which was compd. Said that he would let me know if they find bugs which I didn't believe at all. And to no surprise I was told no bed bugs were found. But im leaving with so many bites on my skin when I say I've been bit over 20 times I'm not lying. The owner did continue to say that he's not trying to say I'm lying but everyone don't believe the mind games he kept saying that about 5or 6 times. Never again never again. I even tried to show my bites he didn't want to see them all they want to do is tell you about their little terrible ass inspections they do and keep it moving.

Pretty great. Bed, showers, table tops all clean and I can t see anything wrong with this hotel.

Guy in the front didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Asked if they had any rooms he said no. And just set down. Had someone call he said yes they're 89.00 per nite!

Cool Boutique Hotel. If you love Clemson Tigers you will be over the moon! If you don't you'll love the clean well appointed rooms with comfortable beds, soft sheets, in room K Cup coffee with real Mugs and a fridge. The staff is great too there to make sure your stay is Great!

I'm not sure why this is called a boutique hotel. It's just a hotel. I liked the free breakfast a lot, but the front desk people were not good.

Loved it here. We were down for the busy weekend of the Total Eclipse 2017. Room was clean and inviting. Love the architectural columns in room. Slept like a baby. Hotel staff was very warm. Free breakfast was great also! Definitely will stay here again.

The room was dirty and the toilet has a black nasty spot inside, for the price it was not good. Bad customer service and the continental breakfast it's worse, they put the leftovers from the day before. The waffles taste so nasty. I don't recommend this place to anyone, your wasting your money and have bad experience there.

This is a great little boutique hotel in Clemson. I work in Pickens once a month and have stayed here twice. The rooms are really cute and newly decorated. The bed is super comfortable, and the staff is friendly. If you have to go to Clemson, stay here. My company will pay for any hotel, and I chose this one after staying in a couple of others on Tiger Boulevard. (I'm a Gamecock fan, and they don't hold this against me. Ha! )

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Tillman. The beds and comforters were first class. They had a nice breakfast and the staff was more than willing to help with everything. The hotel was clean and well kept. Will use again when I head to Clemson in the fall to see them beat FSU!

No hot water, no staff at front desk, nice when they were contacted, they fixed hot water in shower barely warm and no hot water in sink?!

How can they justify overbooking their rooms and leaving people without options. We have friends driving home tonight because the room they reserved wasn't available due to overbooking. Very unfortunate and unprofessional.

Stayed for one night a few days ago. Lovely customer service. Lovely room, thought the set up was really inventive and cute. Loved the colors. The breakfast area is small but you get the basics and then some, really fair for the price, and good considering the size of the hotel. I would recommend not putting sliced cheese in an omelette, I think a lot of people don't like it. But honestly, that was my least favorite thing about my stay, so, you can see it's actually a really great place. And you're really close to downtown for food and drinks. Tip-be ready by 11 to leave, because they start cleaning on the dot. Great place.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We stayed at this hotel on Saturday night of a Clemson football game. After booking through Expedia ($320 for one night! ), we attempted to change our reservation from a king bed to two double beds to accommodate extra guests. We were told that a manager would return our call after checking the other reservations, but we never received a call back. At check-in, the front desk clerk presented us with a bill showing a charge for nearly $100 LESS than we had been charged on Expedia. When we asked about the rate, he replied, "Oops. You should have never seen that. You booked through Expedia and the third party overcharged you. " When asked about the change to two double beds, he informed us that they were fully booked and it wasn't possible. We asked about cots and he said, "yeah, I can get you some cots" but never mentioned an additional charge for them. They arrived without sheets and were unusable. The following day, we discovered a charge to our credit card for $40. Upon calling the hotel, we were informed that this was for the two cots (despite never being informed that there would be a charge). The employee answering the phone, Chris, was unable to address the issue and told us to call Monday-Friday to speak with a manager. We later spoke with "Mike, " the manager, who was difficult to understand due to a thick accent. He was argumentative and seemed unapologetic about the issue.

While the hotel is still under renovations, it is a beautiful example of what a boutique hotel should be! A gorgeous interior lobby that welcomes each guest upon entry, followed by some of the best customer service in Clemson, SC. Our stay was comfortable and the rooms very clean and organized. As I continue to travel through Clemson regularly, this is my new home away from home. Thank you for giving this town the hotel comforts it deserves.

Do not stay here. The owner of this hotel has a horrible attitude and temper and is just the opposite of what you think of when you think of the courtesy and polite southern attitude of staying in Clemson. Not only are the renderings nothing like the hotel rooms you actually have to stay in, but when we booked our hotel, we then cancelled it within the appropriate timeframe for a full refund because I had gotten very sick. We received emailed confirmation of our cancellation and confirmation that our credit card would not be charged. Then mid-day that day we were charged anyway at a higher than quoted price. When I called to handle it the assistant was nice but had no authority to help, the manager called me back and got impatient very quickly and ended up screaming "no I'm not going to give you your f****** money back" and hung up on the phone. We had to pursue fraud protection with our bank to get this undone. He was also difficult to understand on the phone which made the situation worse. I'd never ever stay at this disgusting hotel or give a dime to the owner.

When we visit Clemson we always stay in this hotel it is super clean, there breakfast is awesome and the staff is excellent we are going to visit again next month and I am going to book my room with this hotel.
