I stayed at the Hampton Inn Clemson on September 1 with my wife to visit my daughter. Being a diamond member, I booked the room through their app and paid with accrued points. When the app asked for my credit card for a deposit, I thought it seemed off but proceeded anyway. Long story short, I was charged full price for the room and talking with the General Manager, Kimberly Kessinger and the "help" desk, there was no resolution to be able to switch my stay to points. Some of the highlights of my conversation with Kimberly were: • — Her hotel "needed the money, not the points" • — If I were to stay in two weeks, "that same room would cost $700" (completely irrelevant to my stay) • — As Kimberly argued with me in front of customers in her lobby, she reinforced that I should have "read the details of the email and this wouldn't have been an issue" • — When I told her I wouldn't be staying at her hotel anymore, she wondered "why I was taking out the mistake on her hotel" • — Furthermore — when I called the help desk — I was told there is "often glitches when people try to book on the app" as "this isn't the first time I've heard about this. " In what seems to be a very simple request to change the billing to the points as I had requested — Hilton will be losing a loyal customer.

Everything you would expect from a Hampton Inn. Free breakfast, microwave and mini fridge in the room. Overall interior of the room is a bit outdated, I don't think there has been a major overhaul at this one yet, has a feel of 60's 70's old-school chairs and design. Ligting could be a bit brighter but this is not enough to subtract a star since it was a specific preference due to me doing work in the hotel room. Almost forgot to mention — free parking. No complaints on the room cleanliness and setup.

Nice hotel in this small town. Good reception and customer service. Comfortable and spacious rooms. The bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast with variety of pastries, juices, eggs, dairy, yogurts, fruits available all day. Close to the lake and walking areas.

We stayed here for Clemson Orientation and it was great. Very convenient and quick to get to Clemson. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Free breakfast and very friendly staff.

Nice but somewhat dated decor.

So disappointed when we arrived on our anniversary after driving all the way from VT, we were informed that they cancelled our reservations when they couldn’t reach us at 3pm. Mind you, we were driving. Omg. Common sense is not so common. Totally ruined my opinion of this hotel.

Very nice hotel with a good breakfast and conviently located near Clemson.

Everything I could want in a week long stay. Microwave, fridge, internet, free breakfast, nice furnishings and hot water. I've stayed in several hotels in the area and this is my favorite so far.

We checked in the hotel around 4:30 in the afternoon never got to sleep in the beds or anyting we worked all night long came back to the motel at 10:20 after breakfast was over wood told the front desk wanted to go to the room take a shower and a get a couple hours sleep before getting on the road was abruptly told that check out was at 11 and I had to be out of the room by then I would never stay at this Motel. The elevator is very noisy next to the rooms every time somebody goes up and down it makes a lot of noise not to mention the fact that we can you got in the elevator on the left the doors didn't want to open half the time it would sit there before it ever went anywhere after you push the button and made you like he was in the Twilight Zone so I would never stay at this Motel again if it was the only one that had a room available I would go to sleep in my car. Cci.

I've stayed in this hotel a total of three times and every time has been exceptional. The rooms are always clean and the staff extremely polite. They offer free breakfast in the mornings with quite a few options (cereal, yogurt, waffles, eggs, oatmeal, coffee, etc. ). It is within 5 minutes of a lot of restaurants and Clemson University. I plan to stay here again when staying in this area!

Hotel is in nice area, within walking distance of quite a few restaurants. Decor is a bit dated, but overall everything is nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice outdoor pool.

I was impressed with how many bathroom items were given. There were also plenty of towels and the room seemed very clean. Friendly staff.

Warm friendly responsive staff, lots of hot water and daily free shampoo etc. Really good free breakfast with something for everyone, fresh coffee in the lobby, hot fresh cookies and other sweet treats, while best of all, its right there by Clemson! we really enjoyed our stay and so will you! They won the first game of the season! Go Tigers!

Nice rooms, comfortable beds with microwave and fridge. Room service knocked on our door at 9am even with DND sign hung. Free breakfast is so so. Mostly continental. Don't eat the melon it's rancid sometimes. Overall it's a nice hotel with friendly staff.

The staff was amazing helpful and a great outgoing personality. They never hesitated or even aggravated when you need something they just do It with a smile. They have really good breakfast and excellent coffee. Always clean and inviting definitely earns top of the line ratings and reviews.

New atteactive hotel dedicated to the college in a highly dedicated college town. Go Tigers. Everywhere. The hotel is in the school colors, and regardless of the school it is very well decorated, comfortable and great hospitality. The one great thing about the room is it smelled SO FRESH when you walk in! That on top of how well decorated, inviting and comfortable the room was, made it a great stay. Its really doesnt offer anything different from any other hotel and definitely nothing less. Would definitely return.

The room was nice but the bathroom was pretty small. The breakfast is nice and there's Clemson stuff everywhere. It's pretty intense.

Easy check in, and comfortable rooms. I had a package shipped to the hotel in advance of my arrival and they had it waiting with my key all ready to go. This is the second time we've stayed here and would gladly stay again.

I could not have asked for more hotel for the weekend. The price was better than any in the area, the accommodations were wonderful, the room was clean. They say that you get what you pay for but we truly got more. I was very impressed with our stay. We were verimpressed with how friendly amd welcoming the staff was. Only possible thing I could find to complain about would be I wish there was a little more water pressure in the shower. I will definitely be back.

This was my second stay at the Hampton Inn in Clemson and I have never had any complaints. The rooms are clean and they have a variety of breakfast foods out every morning. The staff is very nice, as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolute most unreliable internet of any Hilton chain hotel I've stayed at.

I booked reservations thru Orbitz, 2 rooms were paid for 1 month prior to my stay. 4 days after check-out, I was charged an additional $314.07. I contacted the Hampton Inn and Ashley, the manager, said they didn't show a transaction of my American Express Card being charged. Note: I do not even own am American Express card! So, I had to contact my credit card company, file fraudulent charges and now wait to be reimbursed. This does not put a lot of confidence in the people running that business. This was my first and only time I will stay at Hampton Inn.
