It's a shame because the room itself was pretty nice — beds were comfortable, it was clean, and decent sized — but that's where the good ended. It was by far the noisiest hotel I have stayed in (and it was not a Clemson football weekend). All the rooms surround this massive theater room (I assume for game day crowds) that amplifies all sounds. I can only imagine what it must be like on game weekends! Also, all the doors are those very loud closing doors — think of those loud beach hotel doors. Sounds as though they are slammed every time. We arrived in July planning to chill in the pool only to find out (after we checked in) that the pool was closed due to some lame excuse about a mysterious bottle that had been broken. The staff was very cold bordering on rude when asked about it. We would advise a different hotel choice if possible.

Needs to work on staff in restaurant. Very rude. DirecTV went out too.

Awesome hotel. The rooms are clean, great rate. The Alumni restaurant breakfast was good only slow. If you go to them at night just pay attention to your ticket the young lady gave me a random charge… The lounge area was amazing. I just wish they had a larger business center only one Cpu was working. I would highly recommend THIS Hotel.

Did not stay as a guest, but visited guests that were, was pleasantly surprised at the lovely decor and the spaciousness of the location. The pool and chairs were very nice. The staff was pleasant.

Hotel itself is nice but to have clothes stolen from your room is not. Took a $30 top and then to try and hope it wouldn’t be noticed they pushed all the clothing together. Went to front desk and of course housekeeping is going to deny it. No offers of compensation either. Caution when staying here take clothing out of room if you are not in it.

Not much to share. We stayed two days. Staff was very nice, room was clean and attractive. College graduation weekend so price was a little high, but not unexpectedly so.

They screwed me around on the reservation and price and the refrigerator in the room did not work not very hospitable.

Hotel is marginal, at best. Nothing special. Eat at the Alumni Restaurant if you dare. Literally the WORST breakfast I have ever eaten. The coffee is watered down and appeared to be made with old coffee grounds. Ordered an everything bagel. Got a wheat bagel that was cold and stale. This place is horrible. You have been warned.

Very contemporary building in general. Is located by the highway but does not get much of the noise. Staff is friendly, and rooms are clean.

AWESOME… that's all I gotta say. I loved the way it was looked from the old one.

I've had nothing but amazing service, very prompt, accommodating and care for their customers. They keep it very clean including your rooms and public bathrooms. And it's absolutely gorgeous inside.

Worked with the Best Western in Clemson, SC this past fall with a block of 12 rooms and good success. Had a similar need for this April 2018 so we looked to secure a block of rooms 3 months ahead of time in January. Apparently, due to some staffing changes only 5 of our rooms were booked. Serving our handicapped community we needed to insure rooms were accessible and despite Mia calling me to work on the matter, she never called back despite my leaving 4 voice mails and stopping in and leaving a message last week. Today, I've been trying to reach her again as we are running out of time for accommodations with the April camp. Same issue. Left voicemail and she didn't call back. When I called the hotel again staff put me on hold for over 5 minutes looking for her and then dumped me into her voice mail. Called back 3 times and nobody picked up. 4th attempt someone picked up and offered to give her a note. I asked for a manager and they hung up on me. Called back again, same lady picked up, asked for a manager and now I've been on hold for over 12 minutes. Assuming they do not have any intention on picking up. Too, bad. We were booking 12 rooms at 5 nights at a time and one of our partners did the same thing recently so I would expect we will no longer be doing business with them in the future. Would not recommend anyone put themselves through this aggravation with this staff.

Nice room at good price. Facility was neat and clean. Fire alarm was pranked while there. That can't be helped, but the staff could have appoligized, given a cookie or something.

Overall great hotel and I would stay there again. I would give them 5 Stars but my experience was not what I expected. I booked my hotel online but when I got there they didn't have my reservation and I was charged twice. It has been days and I still haven't gotten my money refunded. Very disappointing.

I stay at a lot of hotels and this one was maybe slightly below-average. I was here for a week long conference and we had meals provided by the hotel, it was pretty much the worst hotel food I've ever had in my life overall with a couple of exceptions. The hallways were always really cold and our meal room was always really hot so there was a lot of costume changes Inside the hotel. Service was fine.

Extremely loud. Single pane sliding door looking inward to an atrocious courtyard thing. Doors made of a sheet of plywood. Useless balcony. This is the worst Best western hotel I've stepped into. Feel sorry for anyone staying here.

Reservation for one night. Daughter went to bed and found heavily soiled sheets in a “made bed” of what was supposedly a “clean room”. The intention of the stay was not to deal with such a problem, but just a restful night. We didn’t receive that, and after 4 back and forth calls with the staff, I received an insulting 50% off. We are not reserving this hotel again and I would caution future guests to be wary of this hotel’s cleanliness and quality!

Convenient to Clemson U, short ride to shopping and restaurants. In spite of it's atrium and 70's contemporary design, the rooms have been updated well, staff is accomodating. My TV didn't work… and maintenance had it fixed in 15 minutes! As I passed the front desk later, they asked if it was okay. Customer service goes a long way in my book. Plenty of parking, too. Recommend.

Hotel has been renovated. my room was 3rd floor left and it was pretty nice. beds are comfortable, linens new. They have 2 power plugs into table lamp light on the wall and in the entrance TV is nice size probably 40". Fridge and microwave are there. there'a a rack to hang clothes on the left of the room AC is split type attaches to the internal wall but it works fine. Well it was 50F outside, so I'd like to see it working when it is 80F. bathroom shower and faucet working fine. breakfast is pantegroelic pool outside looks like gorgeous, size is nice.

My husband works for a company that stays at this hotel regularly. Found messages in his phone from "Kathy" offering him free drinks and sending explicit messages trying to hook up with him in his room. Wow you would think they would have policy against this behaviour.

Service was good, asked for additional blanket… was told they didn't have any. Garbage around on outside of building. Maintenance dept was doing work early in morning.

Way improved under the new management, 4 years ago this place was a dump. Now its really nice.

Love the hotel, love the area, love the rooms! I'd definitely recommend this hotel. I also recommend the management team keep a better eye on staff. There have been multiple times I couldn't get anyone at the front desk for LONG periods of time. I love the attitudes of 30 percent of the staff. But the other lazy bunch is my only complaint about my stay. Other than that this place is definitely worth it.

Perfect place to stay for a game! Nicely remodeled, clean, and great staff. Close to campus too, not a bad walk.

Staff seems to be still in a learning mode. Check in difficult. We were part of Clemson Alumni Association and they had a really hard time locating our reservation. In order to close room door you have to turn inside and outside handles down. That should be posted somewhere in the room, like by the door. Elevator had flyer advertising game day breakfast. Got there. Flyer should have been removed. The server was very helpful and brought me what I had planned to order. Hotel is very nicely decorated. Our bathroom was TINY. Room had 2 queen beds, seems like it should have been one king. We joined the rewards club. In the brochure it clearly states that if you are an elite member of another hotel rewards program you will automatically be elite with bwc. Front desk did not know anything about it and when I showed him in brochure he still couldn't help me. The, restaurant was very nice. One staff member was especially super. She handles the special events too. I am not remembering her name but would like to put a glowing review in her file. We will give another BWP a try and hopefully it will be a better experience.

Everything was great! Friendly service, recently remodeled. The bed was super comfortable. The room was dark and super quiet at night.

You know, I have gone to trust what it says about a hotel, Wether in a review or on the Orbitz write ups. Wow, was I wrong, listen I figured $200.00 for a hotel on Clemson game day, ok I'll bite. You pull up and you know right from the start this place is a shameful mess! You walk in Contruction material every where, the room full on plaster dust. The restaurant is not open, it's a shell… I'm told that wait till you see this place in three months! Great… I was dupped… what else can I say.

You cannot, you must not stay here. Please read these reviews and don't stay here. Any good reviews are from years ago. This hotel is under construction and is a disaster. The quality of the room was indescribably bad. Somebody had sod through the sheet rock on the one wall. The bathroom is horrific. And there is no fire detector in the room at all. The only good thing is The person working the front desk was very understanding and canceled my reservation immediately. Since I had made it through Priceline I called them and they did issue a refund. All of the booking agents need to stop working with this hotel immediately until the construction is finished.

If I could give it a negative number of stars, I would. No business booking rooms while the hotel is in such bad shape and completely renovating. Construction dust everywhere. Could barely tell they were still open.

The absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed at in our lives. This dump was over priced. The management is a joke. Please do NOT stay in this place it is terrible.

I visited it for a Conference in 2012. The pictures were taken then. It was great.

I stayed at this hotel for a Clemson orientation weekend for our daughter. The pictures online are very misleading. The interior of the building is in need of repair badly. I visited three floors and on every floor the ceiling tiles were water damaged and in danger of collapsing. The carpeting, wall paper, paint and trim all need replacing as I believe cleaning just won't do it. The air vents are COVERED in very thick dust and the room smelled of old cigarettes. Think twice about staying here if you have allergies or asthma. I will say that the young lady who took my reservation was WONDERFUL. She was cheerful and friendly and made us want to stay there when I booked over the phone. Great customer service from her. The gentleman working the desk when we checked in was also very nice and helpful. All in all, the people are great but the building is TERRIBLE.

Air conditioning didn't work in multiple rooms. Pool is broken.

I just stayed one night, but bad experience. I haven't been satisfied. I will ever never go with this hotel. The building, halls and rooms were old. It was ridiculous, rooms were smelling and TV was kind of antique. Anyway, I wasn't comfortable with it. Even though the price per night was cheapest.

It's close to where I am working and it is the cleanest place I've stayed at yet in SC. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and the hotel itself is gorgeous with an indoor pool. I have had no trouble what-so-ever with the internet connection, despite what other reviews may say. There is also a very nice restaurant inside the hotel. Also, since I am here for work it is only costing me $45 per night.
