Way overpriced! I’ve stayed in luxury hotels all over the country, and this is NOT one of them. Very pretty views of the city, but think of it as a pricey Hampton Inn. Service was meh. Most of the employees seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else.

Awful experience. Paid above market price for a hotel in Pittsburgh for a stuffy room (thermostat said 65 but no way room was 65) and then was told as a guest of the hotel that I couldn’t use the hotel gym? Woke up early to work out and was told the gym had been “rented out” at 7 am for a private event when I tried to go exercise there. Upon checkout, attendant did not even ask how our stay was. I Brought up the gym issue and she didn’t really care. I asked if the room rate would be adjusted since we couldn’t use the amenities and was told that couldn’t be done because we booked through a third party (lie). Manager was supposed to contact me but has not. Would not recommend for a business or leisure traveler. Plenty of better hotels in Pittsburgh.

My son returned from OCS training tonight, his phone was dead, YOUR staff did not allow him to use the phone. He paid 180$ for a hotel room but his debit card got declined for the security deposit and he couldn’t call anyone. This is how you treat the military dedicated to your country! He was tired, dirty and hungry. Someone finally allowed him to use their charger and he called me. Shame on you.! I will make sure no one frequents your establishment! Kimpton and Omni all the way.

Perfect place to celebrate the holidays! Great hotel staff and luxury rooms. Across the street from the Christmas market, ice-skating and gingerbread house exhibit. Tons of restaurants and easily walkable.

I had such a great time at the Staycation with grlpwrpgh. The rooms were beautiful and the room service was so helpful and easy to order from. We loved the spa and getting our nails done. A great hotel for the entire family.

Have stayed at the Fairmont 3 times and live it every time, beautiful rooms, great bathrooms, amazing views, great drinks, food and spa!

Overall, a very disappointing experience. Check in was painless enough. Upon entering my room, I discovered that this was a "wheelchair accessible" room (judging from the specific layout of the shower and the lower access eye hole in the door). I'm not in a wheelchair, so that didn't bother me. What did concern me was this room was the farthest room from the elevator, as well as the ice dispenser, and access to the room was only possible after entering through another doorway (leaving very little maneuverability to get to the door if you were in a wheelchair). Now onto my personal experience. I returned to my room late, and at around 1am had to use the bathroom. Imagine my surprise when my toilet wouldn't flush completely. The water level rose and fell, but NOTHING FLUSHED AWAY. Then I discovered that my bed sheets had a nice hole in them. And then to top it off, my room had NO ICE BUCKET. I couldn't even enjoy using the internet, as they charge you an additional $15 (on TOP of the $280 room charge) if you want to enjoy Wi-Fi. SERIOUSLY? A $280 room doesn't include Wi-Fi when a $50 Days Inn does? And I'm not a religious man, but I did find it interesting that the room also lacked the stereotypical Gideon's Bible. I suppose there's an extra charge for that as well. Fortunately, this was a business trip which was covered by the company. I know that I would NEVER choose to stay in a hotel like this.

Amazing stay with the best staff!

The staff was incredible. From the bellman, to the front office/guest services, maintenance and housekeeping! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We attended an event/gala in the main ballroom. The food was beyond superior, from the appetizers to the salad, main course, creme brûlée. And we couldn’t have asked for s better wait staff. So efficient and friendly and professional. Hats off to I believe her name was Netty or Teddy. She made our dining experience extraordinary.

Great experience from the valet parking service, the check and throughout our stay.

I had a family emergency and had to cancel my reservation. I politely asked the Fairmont to refund my deposit and they refused. Terrible customer service and rude staff.

Amazing and very relaxing experience! Mary my masseuse was very sweet and informative I strongly recommend this place for a little pampering.

We were so disappointed — our room was so dusty and dirty. The concierge had someone up to clean it but it was just a quick wipe down and there was still quite of dust and dirty windows. Our safe didn’t work — they said someone would be up to fix it and no one ever came. They did not live up to the standards they claim to have.

An excellent location and a luxurious stay. Although we spent only one night, we enjoyed the place. We ordered pasta and burger from the dine-in service, and also an in-room breakfast. The food was great and service was professional and quite quick. Would stay here again.

Very nice venue for a wedding. Would have loved to keep my water when everyone else got coffee but I didn't. Food and drinks were very tasty.

I wanted a room with a view and very much got it. You could hear the stadium roar! Ordered breakfast, it was prompt, well put together, and delicious. My boyfriend and I were pleased with hotel itself and the room.

My daughter's wedding reception will be at the Fairmont. Just left a tasting and Rebecca, Maria, and Chef treated us like royalty! Cannot wait for the big day. Thank you for your hospitality. Beautiful facility and wonderful people.

I've started at the Fairmont a number of times and it is always a good experience. The room was clean and the staff was courteous. I will gladly stay here again the next time I'm in town.

Nice new clean hotel. Big rooms and fashionable lobby. Staff is nice and very attentive.

Lovely room with bridge/river views. In an accessible area in downtown. Its very close to the cultural district, north shore, and strip district. This hotel is one of the only hotels in the city that has a spa. Overall staff was friendly and helpful. This will be my go to hotel for now on!

We had such a wonderful stay. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and the room was gorgeous. Our view was beautiful. I wish I could afford to stay here more often. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed, I promise.

I stayed at the Fairmont, Pittsburgh two years ago, and couldn’t wait to return. Sadly, though, this trip didn’t compare. When I walked into the room, the curtains were drawn, the sun shining through the room, and all I could see was the dust and fingerprints covering the glass top desk/table. My reservation was for two guests, but only one robe available. On the upside, customer service was spot on. They were polite, helpful, and so friendly. I’m on the fence for the trip I have planned for later this summer. May stay on the other side of the river.

Stayed there for the Pittsburgh Marathon. Great location downtown. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with excellent view. Comfortable beds. Good restaurant on 2nd floor. Would stay there again.

This is a long overdue review for the spa. I have been going monthly since the early fall for massage therapy and facials. Shannon and Mary are fantastic! They are both incredibly skilled and knowledgeable and even more importantly, are truly professional and kind individuals. However, the experience goes beyond the therapists. The entire front desk staff epitomize what one would expect from a customer service perspective. The spa is always very well maintained. The only area I think they could improve upon is the physical space — the treatment rooms and linens are great, and they have very nice steam room and shower facilities. However, a larger waiting/lounge area would be optimal. Of note, I suspect the physical space is limited by the layout of the available floorplan.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are typical. Showers are very modern with glass panels. Great place to stay if in the area. Join their rewards club so you don't have to pay for internet everyday.

For the money… I have stayed in much nicer Fairmont hotels nationally and internationally. Example… Fairmont in Hamburg Germany. That one was a true 5 star exceptional hotel in superb location. As well as Fairmont in DC. This one simply does not measure up to those at all. I was disappointed since I thought it would as nice. Too bland. Nothing special. They cheapen out on design but still charged you for FULL luxury based on the name alone.

I didn't stay at the hotel on this visit, I parked in the hotel deck because of it's location, ease of use and cleanliness. I was in town for a meeting so I cut through the lobby and used the lobby restroom. The staff is always helpful and does so with a smile. The lobby is always clean, and it actually shines. The lobby bathrooms are always clean and tidy.

Fantastic stay at the Fairmont. Staff went above and beyond. Always someone there to help and freely offered help. Beautiful, clean room.

I was here for training and the room was such a dream to come back to. Lovely view of the river too. The bathroom was great for doing my makeup and came with lots of lovely smelling soaps and lotions. I had room service breakfast each morning that was quite a treat to wake up to. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, especially if you're from out of town.

It's a new Fairmont hotel. It's amazing. Great amenities and unbelievable service. We're staying in the executive suite and It's HUGE. We have 2 kids with us so it makes all the difference when travelling to have the extra space. The people here are incredibly helpful and friendly. It's right downtown so everything you need is within walking distance. Happy I reserved a room for us here.

The Fairmont feels modern and elegant walking in the front door. We attended a fundraiser event on a weekday evening and were pleasantly greeted at the event entrance by the hotel GM. The food presentation and taste was superb with so much variety of both hot and cold items. The banquet space has high ceilings, and the ballroom we were in breaks into several smaller rooms, but there aren't obvious air wall pockets when it's completely open. The Fairmont didn't miss a detail, from the attendant monitoring the coat room to the beautifully towered cupcake station. Not sure of the price points if it is an affordable venue or not, but it is definitely beautifully executed!

Came to Pittsburgh for a babymoon and stayed at the Fairmont Hotel. I had no expectations, and was pleasantly surprised by our overall experience at the Fairmont. Our experience with the Fairmont started out rocky. Even though we arrived at 4pm, we were told that our room was not yet ready and that we would have to wait. After about 20 minutes we were able to check in and found that they put us on a high floor. This worked out to be an advantage. Any doubts that I had from the check-in process were quickly resolved once we got to our room. I found the rooms to be spacious, great views, and each floor had lots of wonderful small details that told the story of Pittsburgh's manufacturing past. Each room was provided with binoculars to see the Pittsburgh Skyline. We were able to watch fireworks from the windows in the hallway after the Pittsburgh Pirates game. This is the best located hotel and made it really easy for us to get around Pittsburgh. The final thing that put the Fairmont at the top of our experience was the surprise dessert tray and champagne the hotel provided to celebrate our anniversary as part of the baby moon. Outstanding presentation. I would stay at the Fairmont again.

The room was nice with a lot of little touches. The hallway and elevators were clean and smell good. The view from our window was great. It is within walking distance of many great places. Easy to drive to and parking was a breeze. Worth the money spent. Would definitely stay there again.

Always the best when staying in Pittsburgh. Great location and wonderful staff. I will honestly miss Edie roaming the lobby and cannot wait to meet the new ambassador dog once he or she is in place. Only the best from these fine folks and that is what we all deserve.

I went for drinks at Andy's in the Fairmont with friends to hear a friend sing. It was quite full, so service was a bit slow. Everything was quite enjoyable though. We tried the cheese plate and nachos, both of which were delicious. I had a Chinese Gooseberry which was pretty good and tried the Mule Undone which was out of this world. Great place to hang out for an evening.

The best hotel in Pittsburgh. Central location, you can walk to the stadiums. Spacious rooms. Nice toiletries. Good restaurant. Excellent gym.

The view was so breathtaking, very professional and clean. The soaps and shower gel smelled great, felt like I was being catered to. Live jazz music at night, brunch on the second floor, no complaints!

Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The rooms are amazing. Definitely looks like they've put some money into it recently. Definitely coming back again.

I stayed at the Fairmont Pittsburgh on a recent visit to watch another team play the Steelers. I instantly fell in love with this property. It's in a great location within walking or subway distance to the Sports Stadiums. This hotel isn't overly stuffy but it doesn't get a little busy on Game Days. Unfortunately the parking situation is a little difficult to navigate so if you are driving in and like to plan ahead call in advance for the directions. Enjoy!

Elegant, Upscale, and Lavish. This is the hotel that speaks royalty with its grade A architecture to its personnel who assist your every desire. Book a stay and you will not be disappointed!

My experiences at the Fairmont are consistently excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, without excess "small talk" that can sometimes feel awkward. The rooms are always clean, and they have extremely comfortable beds and linens. I just found out they even have a Hotel Dog, that you are invited to take on a walk or just to visit! Beautiful views from every floor.

Great location right next to PNC Three. The rooms were luxurious, with standard and deluxe amenities. Excellent professional and polite service. No free breakfast, but excellent food and bar with live music at night. Walk in showers and a separate bath. Great view of the river and PNC park! I also hear there is a social floor with flavored waters to drink. Overall a great, luxurious hotel for the price.

The staff was amazing, the hotel itself was beautiful, my only issue was with the very dated TV system they use that you can find in any Super 8 Motel. I felt I was surrounded by luxury until I picked up a remote control from 1998. The big flat screen TV's are only as nice as the service you send to them.

The room was awesome, view was awesome and staff was great. I have nothing but good things to say. I also loved the hotel dog. It was so nice to be greater by her coming into the hotel and watch her wandering around the lobby making everyone feel welcome. The hotel bar was also great, good spirits and great drafts for a hotel, I was impressed. Would stay again for sure.

Absolutely amazing hotel! I booked a night at the Fairmont the night I proposed to my now fiancee. The room, view, and staff was amazing. The hotel staff even sent up chocolate covered strawberries & a congratulatory card for our engagement. Cannot recommend the Fairmont enough!

This hotel joined the Pittsburgh landscape a few years back and quickly became a shining in star in our city. Known for unparalleled service and gorgeous spaces, events at the Fairmont are always top notch. We have done so many events in the space, and every single one takes on its own original look and feel. We highly recommend this site and its incredible event team when planning an event.

I stayed here for business for a few days and loved it. The view of the market below and the PPG building next door were awesome. You could also see across the water. The service downstairs and at the restaurant were excellent. Extremely convenient location too. Would definitely stay again.

Great hotel, great service, and fantastic post-visit customer care. Had a small issue with the bill, and they went above expectations to take care of it. Will be sure to stay again during our next visit.

Pretty swanky. Of course they charge for Wifi, which sucks, but I'm used to that in swanky hotels. But God bless them, they put a _simple_ _easy-to-use_ _low-tech_ alarm clock by the bed, rather than the usual overcomplicated digital crap.
