The hotel is nice and the staff was kind but parking is an expensive nightmare and the parking garage across the street double charged us multiple times and then the manager on duty was very rude to us when we asked about it. I’d recommend the hotel but only if you don’t expect to be in and out of it throughout the day.

We stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The staff did not follow through on services promised to the bride, including time allotted for pictures. The couple had to contract for a "catered " breakfast for the bridal party and overnight guests because they would not allow for outside food to be brought in and the restaurant was not able to accommodate the time-frame needed. The couple was charged a ridiculous rate per person and what was set out was a continental breakfast at best and the banquet room wasn't even cleaned from the night before (dirty wine glasses still spread around the room)

It was a wonderful experience they made my daughters big day amazing 5 stars.

The staff was very helpful, pleasant and professional. The hotel is a beautiful landmark with the grand staircase as the highlight in the lobby. Our rooms were beautiful with great views. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to PNC park, Market Square and so much more. We hosted a wedding there — awesome!

The service from the bartenders Mimi, Mike, and Mark was the highlight of my stay. They are amazing! The hotel is VERY clean! I had a great stay.

What a beautiful establishment with friendly and considerate staff! The rooms are extremely clean, and the view of the river is an awesome added bonus. Our room initially had an air conditioning unit that was not working; however, they sent an engineer promptly and without us even asking they got us a new room! Parking is close and lots of good food options!

We're staying at the Renaissance pittsburgh. It is a modern, romantic atmosphere with a great bar and friendly concierge.

We spent Sunday night at the Renaissance while in town to watch the Pens game. We were immediately impressed with the fast and friendly service we received from all the employees we interacted with. Our first impression was WOW what a beautiful hotel! There was a wedding going on when we checked in and that was impressive too. The room we stayed in was very nice and roomy. Our son is in a wheel chair and we were able to move him around the room and bathroom with ease. Hands… down this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in and it was a treat for a country boy let me tell you. All of the staff (valets, check in clerks and maids) we interacted with were very friendly and courteous. This is one of the few hotels I've stayed in that I feel was worth the price of staying at. The room size was amazing, it was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The Renaissance is very handicap and wheel chair accessible. It's location makes it pretty easy to drive in and to drive out of too. The next time we stay in Pittsburgh we'll be staying at the Renaissance!

You can Request a city view room but you may not get it I personally think $280 for a room looking at a brick wall is a little steep but it is located in walking distance of places to eat and Pnc park.

Overall it's a great location beautiful Sadie and the people are fantastic. When you go a couple blocks you'll find a lot of convenience stores at your own Leisure Glen that there is wonderful Irving that you can walk along. And great location for contingency if you ever wanted to go to any.

If you want architectural beauty and location, this hotel is great. If you want good lounge food, customer service, and receiving the correct amount of points for your stay, the Marriott is a better bet. Both hotels have some good views. For me, the service at the Marriott wins.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Location couldn't be better for attending a Pirates game. The staff experience I had was great! My complaint is that there appeared to be black mold growing on the ceiling of our bathroom. For $300+ per night, and such a nice hotel otherwise, I wouldn't expect this to be a thing. If you have a family trip, this is THE place to be! We came here after a very stressful day to a very hospitable and accommodating staff. From helping us with our bags to showing us on a map the places to go with kids. We played games with the boys in Lobby and the bar tender was very attentive with bringing my husband and I drinks and my kids lemonade. Then we went to the hotel restaurant and were greeted with a fantastic waiter named Justin. He told us about all the things to do and took the time to show us on a map. The staff has just been amazing and if you are coming for business or with family this is the hotel to stay at.
On the river, across from PNC and in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the US.

We stayed here on the 4th of July and it was perfect. Our room was a nice size and the bathroom was huge. We got a king sized bed that was one if the most comfortable beds I've been in. Everything was clean. We ordered room service from the restaurant in the lobby and the food was wonderful. It came quicker than we expected too. I only wish we had stayed for more than one night, we loved it so much.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the arts district. The staff is absolutely top notch and friendly. You will be on awe of the architecture and use of marble in the lobby. The lighted glass cathedral ceiling at the top of the lobby is simply gorgeous. The barroom and conference rooms on the second floor are welcoming to guests. Great place to stay in the Burgh!

Recently stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend. It was our first time to Pittsburgh and the location is awesome! Walking distance to literally everything. We had the best view of PNC Park. The hotel itself is beautiful and upon walking in, we were in awe. There's a Starbucks right near the elevators so getting coffee in the morning was very convenient. Valet opened the doors every time we were walking in and out of the hotel. All of the staff were friendly. Our room was clean and well maintained. And unlike a lot of the reviews, the elevators worked the entire duration of our stay. If we ever happen to be in Pittsburgh again, we will definitely stay here again!

Excellent location: Right in Down town and for more overlooking the river and across from the PNC Park.
Across the street there is a very comfortable car park that costs $8 a day.
The ambience at the Intermo is very beautiful and elegant: from the reception to the sofas to the double marble staircase.
In This same area there is a restaurant and, next to the two elevators, there is also Starbucks.
The room was well furnished, the bed was large, the bathroom was clean.
Also in this hotel we found the carpet on the ground in the rooms, but it didn't give us a particular idea of dirt, so it didn't bother much.
Fair price.
Nothing to say except that we would definitely stay here again!

This particular Renaissance is not as nice as most of the ones that I stay at. It's older and a little run-down. The gym was small. The elevators weren't working last night and I waited 20 minutes to get to my room. The restaurant was pretty good though.

Some friends of mine from the D. C. Area gave me a Birthday gift of a Pirates Baseball game & stay at this great hotel. I am poor, old & was way underdressed yet the staff treated me with great dignity & respect. Talking to me about the history of the area & things like I was a real person. The hotel itself was wonderful the bed was the most comfortable sleep I have ever had in my 53 years of life & the shower was just wonderful. It is close to so much as well. I had what for me was one of the best stays in a hotel ever.

Beautiful hotel! Classic detail with modern touches. Guest rooms have great beds and plenty of space. Surrounded by restaurants and entertainment. Bar and nice restaurant on site. Reasonably priced, as is the parking garage across the street. A must stay in Pittsburgh.

The only downside was some issues with the elevator but I know they are working on getting that fixed. The location is also a huge plus — there are dozens of restaurants, bars, and entertainment sites within literally a 5 minute walk.

My room was fairly roomy but a needed to be a bit more cozy. The bathroom is decent and toiletry products are great. The bed is very comfortable. Meeting rooms are nice and renovated. The location is very convenient to everything in this area of Pittsburgh, including the convention center.

This hotel is awesome. The front desk personnel are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are incredibly clean. The restaurants and bars are great. Location is right downtown in the cultural district with many great spots to check out. Historic style and modem customer service meet here to form an amazing place to stay.

The front desk people are the nicest people ever… I called the front desk at midnight (after room service had closed) and the brought me up silverware. One lady took a picture for us. Another gentleman looked up activities in the area for us… The view was beautiful and there was even a telescope in our room. Even the view from the bathroom was amazing!

Great view of 3 Rivers stadium and the ballpark. Huge room with giant windows, quite impressive, the beds were fantastic per usual at a Renaissance. The bathroom was average but clean. Work out room is nice. Bar inside the hotel has some great drinks and bar food very good. Great location in Pittsburgh.

Great service, beautiful property. Lovely views of the burgh. Could use a little better upkeep. The beds are especially comfy. This would be a wonderful place to spend a night after the symphony.

From the first moment I stepped foot into the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel I was in love. The lobby is just so majestic. High ceilings, marble floors, very chic décor, a very accommodating staff is what you can expect. Guest rooms are equipped with the best features to make your stay exceptionally comfortable. Amenities include; luxurious bedding, flat screen TVs w/ cable, complementary Wi-Fi, and beautiful waterfront views.

Atmosphere and ambience we're second to none. Bar was good with several microbrews on tap. Bartenders friendly. Restaurant hosts were courteous and helpful. Waitress was nice, food was excellent, although portions were a bit on the small side. Restrooms were spotless and the entire facility very clean. A friend who was staying there commented that the rooms were dated but very well maintained. Would gladly visit again if given the opportunity. Great place!

Nice location right on the corner. Got breakfast and the food was good. Very strong coffee too! Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Service was good and our party of 8 was happy with the service. Manager came out after meal to make sure everything was to our liking.

The hotel was beautiful. Our room was great. But the thing that made the stay a great one was, the fact that they hotel was dog friendly. And when I say dog friendly I mean, everyone was great with our dogs (And we have two pit bulls so you know how that can go). I think our girls (both dogs) wish we would have stayed longer due to all the love they got. Lol.

Amazing older hotel located smack dab in the city! Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Room service second to none and food here is AMAZING! Been around the country and stayed at most 5-star hotels, and I can honestly say, this is my favorite. FYI, you have to stop at Giovanni's Pizza a few door down from the hotel. It is a little pricey, but the atmosphere and staff are kind and very helpful. Thanks again Pittsburgh!

The room had the best view of Pittsburgh I have ever seen. Wrap around windows in a corner king room. Worth every penny. Great buffet. Amazing place to spend a honeymoon night.

From the moment I was greeted at the valet stand to the moment I checked-out, I felt like I was at home. It was my first time going to Pittsburgh and it definitely is not my last. Kellee at the front desk treated me like a long lost sister. She was knowledgeable about this amazing building, the surrounding area and gave me first class service. She walked me to the elevator, all the while, chatting me up as if we had been friends since kindergarten. I will never forget my experience here. This place has a special spot in my heart.

The Renaissance Pittsburgh is centrally located in downtown. The building and rooms are beautiful examples of early twentieth century style and elegance. The staff is great and the historic building well maintained. The only problem is parking! The Valet service is inhibited by the tight quarters in front of the hotel. I ended up parking in the ramp across the street and carrying our luggage from the fifth level back to the lobby. I think the hotel needs to address this problem if they want to increase guest satisfaction with their experiences. Besides the parking issues, a five star experience.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Stayed a few weeks ago for a wedding. The location was great and the building was absolutely beautiful! We were missing conditioner in the bathroom, not a huge deal and the buffet breakfast was a bit overpriced. The valets were especially courteous, professional and attentive. They were always available, offering to help with directions, our bags, even refreshments on the way home. Really fantastic customer service. We look forward to staying again!

Aesthetically, this is a great hotel. Beautiful lobby elevators and staircases. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Staff seem very friendly. The rooms are large, and ours had a great bay window. The beds are immensely comfortable. Price wise, you don't get much bang for your buck. $275 will get you a room. Breakfast is not included. All other amenities are pretty much that of a bargain hotel. We ended up slightly irritated at the end because a mystery $30 charge appeared on our bill, despite not having ordered any extras. I'd stay here again for a single day trip. But you'd honestly be just as well off staying at a Holiday Inn if you're going to be staying in the city for longer.

My husband and I moved here 2 years ago. We have 6 kids and no family here. A friend we became really close with offered to babysit for our anniversary. OVER NIGHT! Anyone with kids will understand how that plays a major role in this. This is the first time in 2 years my husband and I will get a single night to ourselves. We booked the corner room with a king and view. Our friend ended up not being able to babysit the original night and could the next night. When we called to switch they wouldn't move our reservation by one night. Therefore, we had to buy another night and only stay in the one. Since our friend, who volunteered as tribute, works until 2 am downtown anyway we offered her the first night free as a thank you. We called two separate times to ensure we got the same exact room and that it would be cleaned before we arrive the second night. They assured us everything was set. The day our checked in they told her she would be in a different room than we already purchased at a hefty price. We call the hotel and they told us someone purchased our room we already booked and paid for specifically 3 days prior. Which meant we, who booked it first, got the boot. We argued for a hour and got the same room 2 floors down. Which means the view will no longer be as expected. Once again we made sure that our room would be cleaned prior to our check in after our tribute checks out. We get here, check in, and our room is exactly how our friend left it.

Stayed here the weekend of the Manga-Anime event. My daughter and her best friend attend yearly. The hotel staff was friendly, the rooms are extremely clean, and the beds are heaven. The staff was helpful and supplied us with everything we needed. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hotel as I worked while the girls attended their event. Not only was the staff personable and friendly, the food was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was spectacular, with a beautiful view of the river as requested. I made a mistake on the date of the booking and the staff was very helpful in transferring the booking to the correct night. Unfortunately my room had two major issues. First is that when the A/C was on (majority of the night), it rattled constantly and loudly. It didn't start doing it until I had already been asleep for awhile and I was to tired to try and get my room changed. Secondly, and I'm not sure if this is in general or specific to my room, every time someone flushed their commode near us, a loud rush of water could be heard behind the headboard of the bed. It was pretty off putting. While it is a beautiful place, next time in Pittsburgh I will likely try a different establishment.

Great hotel with fantastic views across the river. We had a corner room which was very spacious. The rooms are well appointed for this price range. The lobby was very cool and the staff extremely helpful. The location is great for walking to most areas downtown. There are plenty of bars and restaurants right down the street. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff was fantastic. Truly people who take their job seriously and probably one of the friendliest staffs I have ever dealt with. The in house restaurant is excellent, though certainly not for those seeking a cheap meal. The rooms are nice, though there were a few cosmetic blemishes in mine that could be corrected easily. Overall an excellent hotel that I will certainly stay at when I am in the area again.

The location is convenient and close to many sports venues. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service is first rate.

Great service and beautiful room, but the food and a visit to the bar are both an absolute must! Had a truly wonderful experience for a 2 night stay last week to PA. Very welcoming and helpful staff when we arrived, including parking, check-in, chefs and bar staff and bar manager. Smaller of the few hotels we stayed at, but cleanliness, knowledge of the surrounding area and friendliness really made up for that in leaps and bounds. We had no negative experience with anyone, even when the place was dead or completely slammed with a wedding crowd. Same amazing service every time. *Our Personal Highlight* Even if you don't get a chance to stay here, please come for the food and visit Mike, one of the day bartenders. We have honestly, hands down, never had such fantastic service and cannot stop talking about this guy. Really knows his stuff and has a serious passion and love of what he does. Great cocktails, BEST Manhattan, (think he referred to it as a Brooklynn, ) as well as tequila cocktails. Guy's an artist. Pulled pork perogies, just, wow. We had a great experience. Can't imagine anyone not having a blast here. Thanks for the great time!

Elegant lobby area and very spacious well appointed room. Staff seemed friendly and helpful during my stay. Hotel is well situated for sports fans, and within walking distance of a good variety of restaurants and theaters in the area. My only disappointment was that breakfast was not included in the (expensive) prices.

My boyfriend and I stayed here after a pirates game. We had an amazing view of both pnc park and Heinz field. The staff was very courteous. We will be back soon!

I am a highway coach driver that recently visited this lovely location. It is very difficult to find parking for my bus when I am taking groups to large city centres. I contacted Renaissance reservation consultant Kathleen and she managed to secure a great spot for me on the street beside the Hotel. Thank you to her and the bell staff for a job well done. It means a lot:). Also, many thanks to food service staff for the best food in the city. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in downtown Pittsburgh:)

Worst experience I have ever had. Not even a free bagel for breakfast which you can get at any hotel, motel in the United States of America. Cleaning the room was not done and 1 towel per person. How bad can it get.

This historic landmark facility overlooks the river and north shore, providing unparalleled views from the ballroom! The lobby and sweeping staircase add drama and an element of regal opulence to the space. Supporting the team of event specialists, we enjoy bringing the ballroom space to life for celebrations big and small. Weddings there are always breathtaking.

Location and room was great but I can't give 4 star's because the Renaissance doesn't have a indoor pool this should be a must at a 4 star hotel.

I visited Pittsburgh for a weekend of hockey and football and this hotel was perfect. Very friendly staff! Every time I had a question or needed anything, I was given immediate attention. My favorite part of my stay though had to be the pillows. I was tempted to steal one but my conscience got the better of me. It was definitely the most comfortable couple of nights worth of sleep that I can remember in my entire life.

Lovely hotel with newly updated modern decor. Perfect location to walk across the river to the Andy Warhol museum or check out one of the nearby bars and restaurants. Staff was friendly and accommodating and there is ample inexpensive garage parking across the street.

Our 2 day stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Pittsburgh was wonderful. The front desk people were so friendly and sweet when I made the reservations. Also, the front desk sent several complimentary gifts to our room when we checked in and told them we were on our honeymoon. Their great restaurant served us an excellent supper and breakfast. This is an excellent place to stay with great views of the city.

I traveled to Pittsburgh, PA on business and this hotel was very close to our customer's location. The parking garage is right across the street and was easy to find parking most of the day. Parking was around $10 daily if didn't leave the lot. Had a very nice view of the stadiums and enjoyed simply looking out the window. There is a restaurant inside the hotel and was often busy at times. Not busy as it was a bad thing, more like people just enjoyed hanging out with friends over a few drinks. I travel a lot and found this hotel to be an enjoyable experience.
