Great hotel, very unique. Clean rooms and welcoming staff.

The presidential suite was chic spacious and romantic… everything was clean, very welcoming — robes & slippers also salt for our jacuzzi. Water ear plugs and blindfold.
The front desk was very helpful with suggestions where to go and food etc. Had a good Valentine's weekend.

We had a great time there It was better than I thought it would be and everyone who works there is great and super friendly. Could not ask for a better experience.

The hotel is almost perfect. Lovely design, warm and welcoming. Great location with lots of choices for dinner. Free parking and nice buffet breakfast. Now, a couple of small things that could put this hotel over the top… the pillows were terrible, and there was no water pressure so if you have a decent amount of hair forget trying to shampoo. We did really not the stay with a couple of very minor issues.

Everything, service, nice rooms, definitely a romantic place & breakfast was amazing.

Location was convenient, staff were helpful & friendly, hotel was clean, loved the turn down service and the charm of it being an old warehouse with modern touches & cool art! Brick walls make it noisy but I wear ear plugs to bed anyway because I’m a light sleeper so I had no problem sleeping.

Special place to stay. Love the exposed brick and the artistic flair in the rooms. The farm to table restaurant is amazing. Love coming back here every chance I get.

Just a beautiful building. The architect is lovely.

Looks nice but deceiving, walls very thin. Wood floor are nice but not the cleanest. Parking you need a really small car. Don't recommend this hotel; over priced dump.

Had our corporate holiday party at the hotel and in John j Jeffries. The hotel was better than we expected — great place to stay. Food was delicious and service was A+. Rooms are unique — beds super comfy — clean and great overall experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Quick check in. Friendly staff. Beautiful room. They left a red rose by the bed and candy that said sweet (found it when I returned from dinner/show). They made me feel special. Thank you Lancaster Arts Hotel.

Stayed in the Arts Suite. Room was very comfortable and clean. Only problem we had was the restaurant patio was right beneath our room. So it could be kind of noisy in the evenings. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful renovated hotel… with charm and quirky, whimsical touches! Fun touch in writing/drawing your own creation and leaving it as a momento in hotel elevator. Very nice restaurant attached to hotel.

Stayed here overnight on an anniversary getaway. We also had dinner at the John J. Jefferies restaurant, which is located in the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very accommodating. The artwork theme is a nice touch. The restaurant might be my new favorite. Food and drinks were spectacular and service was unrivaled.

Nicest boutique hotel in Lancaster. I always stay at Hilton’s or Marriott. My first impression was from Howe who too my reservation over the phone. He was right on about the accommodations. Could not have asked for anything more. Friendly staff, restaurant was on site with great food, and to end a long day a bar only 20 feet from the elevator. Thanks Howe.

Really enjoyed this cool hotel. Was a little snafu with my reservation (not hotel's fault, third party) and the we're very apologetic. Comfortable room. Only complaint was that the ironing board was tiny, but was able to deal with it.

Cool hotel… but was disappointed that breakfast ended early on a weekend that was so gloomy outside. Got down to the breakfast area 3 minutes before it ended just to get a quick grab and go, … and there was no sign of breakfast. Was told that breakfast was over at 10:30, but it wasn't even 10:30 yet. Was starving and didn't even get asked if they could get me something. Hopefully, tomorrow will be different. Check-in was a nice experience. Front desk agent was very nice, answered all our questions, and he was knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms are small, but brick walls and art are really cool and rooms are extremely clean.

Stayed here with Insight Vacations for 2 nights! Wish it had been longer! Beautiful hotel fully equipped love the decor! The bar stayed open late which was a bonus!

Stayed there for a convention and was really impressed by the rooms, especially for the price. The bathrobes and jacuzzi were an especially nice touch. The staff were also excellent and made us feel very welcome during our stay.

Absolute madness. We have never been to such a great hotel. Furnished with much love. The staff just great. From reception to farewell highly professional and friendly. Parking is free of charge. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful place! Just make sure you're not near the stairwell door — otherwise you'll wake up hearing it slam every time someone exits…

What a wonderful surprise. Staff was attentive and courteous. Room was stylish and clean. Had a drink at bar. Service was quick and drink was well mixed. Felt welcomed from the minute we walked into the lobby.

Great repurposed building. DO NOT get a room by steps or elevator (both). Other than that a very nice stay.

Really cool hotel. There is art everywhere and as a guest you create your own drawing (there is a sketched located in your hotel room) and they will put it in a public scrapbook with previous guest's drawings or in the elevators. We came because we were touring Franklin & Marshall, which you get a discount. However, the only way to get the special university rate is if you reserve your room the day before you get to the hotel. We made this mistake and ended up paying double for our one room (about $200).

Great experience in a great location. Staff was very friendly, the rooms very extremely clean and beautiful, and the surrounding area was quiet. There is a meadery across the street and a great beer bar next door. The breakfast in the morning was good for a continental style with plenty of options. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in the area.

Beautiful hotel with wonderfully historic details. Previously a metal foundry converted to a fine hotel. Cool place with great staff and an excellent dining establishment within. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this hotel. Upon checking in we were informed that our room had been upgraded to the presidential suite, no extra charge. The room was so beautiful, comfortable and spacious and the whirlpool… Love it! Already planning on staying again next year!

Great location, cool vibe, nice amenities. Downside is some of the rooms are really small and walls are paper thin. Can hear everything next door and in the hallway.

Amazing theme! I absolutely loved getting to leave a piece of myself behind in a sketch. The artwork displayed was amazing!

Excellent location for seeing downtown Lancaster. Great decor — exposed brick, walk in shower, spacious room. Service was very good, attentive and friendly. Decent breakfast.

The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. It has a lot of great qualities and done really cool concepts such as art for sale everywhere, sketch pass on the room and drawings that are later displayed if you leave them, and a rose I'm every room. It is romantic and beautiful. That being said it also leaves much to be desired. When I arrived at the hotel I inquired about my friends room and rather than checking with the room herself I was handed the phone to talk to the room, this just seems like poor security but it could be coming practice I'm not sure. Also, they didn't have some basic amenities like a clothes steamer, from my experience any higher end hotel has a steamer to borrow on request. There were almost no cups in the room and no silverware to be found. Along with this amenities that they were supposed to have were missing, when we wanted to draw things we couldn't find a pencil or pen anywhere in the room. The staff was mostly kind but gave off an unprofessional feel, with the exception of housekeeping. The housekeeping staff was absolutely perfect, if I could rate just them it would be a full five stars. They were kind and went above and beyond when asked for help.

GREAT room! Very clean & spacious. Great attention to detail and storytelling right down to the sketchpad & pencil left on the desk. Staff were helpful & friendly. Amazing architecture. Nightly turndown service w/chocolate & a rose was a nice surprise. I will be definately be back.

A really nice hotel. Room was spacious with a whirpool tub and a really comfortable bed. Fee breakfast. The restaurant downstairs had really good food too. Would go back.

Very interesting hotel. They have local artists pieces all over. The amenities in the room include all the usual bath needs, sham. Cond. Lotion and bar soap. In addition to these, they provide you with make up removal wipes and personal care kit that has Qtips, cotton balls and an emery board. There is hot n cold breakfast incl. In the evening, they provide turn down service, with chocolates on your pillows and bottled waters. There is a drawing pad in the room that they encourage you to do a drawing in and leave for their books in the lobby. So fun!

Went to Lancaster as a spur of the moment road trip and found this hotel on Google. Great place — we enjoyed the art and left a drawing for the elevator. Room was a good size. They surprised us with a turn down service. Also the bathroom and shower were better than expected. Very glad we stopped in.

Beautiful hotel! We were on our way home to Vermont, coming from Charleston, SC. I called the hotel at 2:30 am, in hopes that they had availability. We only needed to catch up on our sleep. The gentleman working was great! He gave us a discounted rate and we were able to checkout at noon. Our room was gorgeous. We hope to make it back to Lancaster sooner than later. We will most definitely stay here! Thanks so much!

This was our first stay at the hotel and loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and unique. Especially pleased with the temperature control in the room. Many times we find the rooms get warm and we can never get them to cool down; plus the system was quiet. Yes, wood floors make for more guest noise but not enough to take away from our stay. I find that it is usually the inconsideration of other guests that cause the noise, not the floors. We loved our stay and will be back very soon.

Best casual hotel in Lancaster by far. Creative atmosphere, unique rooms with exposed brick walls and wooden beams (Use to be a tobacco warehouse), original artwork on the walls (available for sale). Just a cool little place to spend a night or two. One drawback — the elevator is very slooow… Other then that, awesome place. Chocolate on the pillow and live flowers in the room are nice touch. Keep it up!

We booked this hotel last minute with the hotel tonight app and got a pretty good deal, but it's still a pretty nice hotel, even at full price. There's art all over the hotel and sketch books in the rooms. Guest sketches are displayed in the elevator. I really liked our room. There was exposed brick, a large window with a beautiful view of the sky in the morning, and a really nice looking bathroom. There's free breakfast and a lot of other amenities. If we had actually planned a stay here instead of using hotel tonight, we might have taken advantage of the free loaner bikes and self guided art tour. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great, friendly, welcoming, quirky place. Much better than some of the bigger chains (Hilton in particular) as they didn't try to rip us off by saying our reserved room was not available but for $50 or $40 per night extra we could upgrade. Restaurant food was pretty good as well, unfortunately not our waiter who was more interested in the bigger group tables than two of us (probably bigger tip).

Great front desk service. Spacious rooms, high ceilings, and fantastic furnishings. The staff was always pleasant to work with and accommodating. Within walking distance of tons of great cafes and bakeries.

I don’t usually write negative reviews but I felt the need to share my experience. I spent a night at the Lancaster Arts Hotel a week ago on 12-13 Oct 2014. In the beginning everything was amazing, the hotel staff were friendly and courteous. My issues started later. My room seemed fine initially, but it wasn’t until 2am when I realized that there were only “5” sheets of toilet paper on the roll and a spare roll was no were to be found. I had to call the front desk to have them send one up…needless to say it wasn't a pleasant experience opening the door. My second issue was I couldn't figure out why I was having a serious allergic reaction in my room. Needless to say, I have severe mold allergies, and didn’t notice the mold in the lower level of the tiled walk in shower until the next morning. At this point I was extremely irate! $189 a night should have brought me a roll of toilet paper and a decent bleaching of the showers! So upon checking out I filled out their courtesy card which asks how you stay was. I made a point to annotate all these issues and even went as far as putting my phone number on the card for the manager. I told the lady at the front desk that I needed to talk to the manager, but she said she wasn’t here. REALLY? Ironically enough I had just seen her talking to some customers that were interested in booking the conference room for some event. A week later I still haven’t heard from anyone even acknowledging my experience.

Service was top notch but most significantly the rooms were stunning.

From the time we checked in until the time we drove away we had an awesome time. Erica and the rest of the front desk staff couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We've stayed at oh-so-many similarly priced venues but have never felt more pampered that at the "Arts. " Every minute of our get-away weekend was picture perfect, including the meals we had at both the John Jeffries (attached to the hotel) and "Checkers, " located a short walk away. If you're looking for a romantic trip, you can't go wrong here.

I spent a weekend there to getaway and get some work done and it was the perfect space to relax and focus. I got the wine package and was very impressed with the cheese and fruit tray and the wine and gift bag. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and if I'm back in the area I will stay there again.
