Best place to stay in Depoe hands down. Great rooms, super private, spacious and clean with tremendous views — able to see whales and seals from your room. Excellent staff including dining recommendations. With parking at a premium in town this location is ideal as you can walk to most anything you could ever need while beaches and sights and a few restaurants are within a 10-15 minute drive.

Wonderful views and hosts was excellent. We had a great time.

We had a wonderful, quiet Memorial Day weekend here. We saw lots of whales off our deck. A beautiful place. We recommend!

An amazing get away! Private, amazing waves and stormy night while we sat in the jacuzzi overlooking it all!

Mark’s out of 10 would have to be 6 at best. Nice room, amazing views and Cam on the front desk was very helpful.
However, an email prior to arriving said that room service was limited. In our case that meant the person cleaning our room moved the ‘make my room up’ sign from outside our door to the inside. Garbage was not taken out, glasses and coffee mugs not changed, bed not made, no replacement pods for Keurig, basically nothing appeared to be done. Also a small microwave would be nice.
Not Channel Houses fault but the people above us decided to use their hot tub at3:30 a. M. Eventually I had to get out of bed and hammer on their door for them to answer and ask them to let others sleep, very annoying.
For the high cost of a room I expected better. I really don’t see us going back there.

Simply amazing. Small hotel, great staff, rooms are awesome… oh, and the views. Don’t even get me started on the hot tubs on every balcony.

The room was amazing and the customer service was even better the view is beautiful but no breakfast is very disappointing do to COVID-19

Very Romantic Establishment. Rooms are very nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. The view is breathtaking and one of the best spots to Whale watch! Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Fantastic views from the Whale Watch guest room, today we saw several whales. Listen to waves while hot tubing. Cute town is 3 block walk.

This place has one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen from a hotel. It’s absolutely breathtaking. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and it was a fantastic decision. The Caltain’s room is adorable and cozy and the spa on the balcony is a must. You can see whales from the room and balcony. We will be back; probably many times.

Amazing stay. We got to see whales right off the shore from our balcony. Room was very nice, cozy, and comfortable.

The hotel was quiet, clean, comfortable. Honestly we loved it. A few small complaints — the osfm robes didn't fit either of us. The bath towels could be bath sheets. And they could be fluffier. For the price of the room I'd like to see those improvements but as a whole we were happy.

We stayed in the cuckoos nest. Full living room, kitchen with separate bedroom. Both had gas fireplaces, and sliding doors with views from every direction. The shower had dual heads which was great! The deck runs the full light of the room with a whirlpool tub located outside the bedroom slider. In the breakfast room we were treated to an amazing display of fresh fruits and homemade pastries. Also other light breakfast fare. All included with the room! I can't say enough about the fantastic time we had!

This is my NEW FAVORITE! Spent my birthday here, best birthday ever. My love and I share a birthday weekend, so our time spent here was lovely. Been coming to Depot Bay my whole life, and had yet to checkout the Channel House. So glad we did. Staff is on point! Tim checked us in with a smile and such courtesy, and the women that served us breakfast, and took care of our needs were wonderful. I loved every minute. Thank you THANK YOU. We WILL be back.

A unique and quiet place to stay right on the channel. The more than continental breakfast included with the stay had plenty of options. The view was beautiful and only a short walk across the bridge into Depoe Bay. I will be back to stay in room The rooms are little pricey but worth it. Very friendly staff. Kids are not allowed in a kind and gentle sort of way.

The room was clean and staff were friendly. We saw grey whales from our balcony. They left us champagne (at my request) and fresh chocolate chip cookies. Beautiful stop on our honeymoon.

The parking lot is very small, but they have backup parking in a few places. We stayed in one of the rooms with an ocean view, and loved watching the waves from a short distance away. The jetted tub on the balcony attached to the room was very enjoyable. The breakfast room offered many food and drink choices, and had great views of the ocean as well.

This place was wonderful! Came here for our honeymoon and will definitely be back. Stayed in the "Channel Watch" suite and was very happy with everything from the view to the fireplaces and the hot tub on the deck. Thier service was excellent and everything was well worth every penny spent… Be sure to plan ahead and make your reservation early. You won't regret it.

Place is amazing scenery is surrealmy husband and I love it here! we got the top corner room with a huuuge deck and deck-jacuzzi overlooking the ocean! customer service is great too and that's always a MAJOR plus!

Celebrating 34 year's in the beautiful Channel House. One of our favorite spots for in the the world.

Went there for my one year anniversary with my girlfriend. The staff immediately friendly and helpful, including baking us fresh cookies. We stayed in the admiral suite which has it own private hot tub facing the ocean. We could watch whales off the coast from there and from windows in the room. Room was very nice and cozy with its own gas fireplace. Breakfast was amazing as well. Overall this proved to be a great choice for the occasion and I would like to go back.

Holy Awesome! Best place ever. Hot tub overlooking the bay was a perfect place to watch whales! Do not miss it. Very clean and romantic. Perfect stop for a trip up or down the coast.

We stayed in unit #8… excellent place! spacious suites. Ocean facing… comfortable beds. Great breakfast… very nice staff. And a rockin jet tub on a private deck. We also happened to be here when the grey whales were feeding. Amazing views of them. This was our 20th anniversary stay and I would gladly come here again!

They aren't kidding about the whales. I've seen them every day at breakfast, sometimes so close to shore that it's awe inspiring. My bed was super comfy, I need to buy these pillows, and I left the windows open all day and night; the sea is great to sleep to. Breakfast was a very tasty buffet of fruit and freshly made pastries, with cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt also available — all indeed with your room. I stayed in the smallest room, and it is indeed small, but I honestly liked the coziness. They could replace the (cleaning chemical? ) stained chair, but I got over it pretty fast in the face of everything else I fell in love with. Same with the lack of adjustable AC. The room was a hotbox when I first got here, but the open windows kept it cool and comfy thereafter. Would happily stay here again.

We have been wanting to stay here for a while so we finally made time and wow! From the minute you walk in the staff takes care of your every need from offering to get your luggage, walking you to your room and offering to make dinner reservations. The accommodations are stellar, with balconies right over the ocean. We were pleasantly surprised to see many whales as we sat on our balcony and sipped local wine. The Channel House will be a yearly vacation spot for us!

Stayed here on our honeymoon in June 2017 and it was one of our favorites. This place was so unique and different! It was great trying to spot whales from the balcony hot tub. There was even binoculars in the room for this! The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Would love to stay here again someday!

Great place for a getaway. Rooms are nice and the views are incredible. No real food options on location other then a light continental breakfast.

Cozy spot with private balcony hot tubs, fireplaces and ocean views. Robust breakfast is included and the staff is extraordinarily friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

An oceanfront room complete with a fireplace and a private jacuzzi tub on the deck. What more could you ask for? Well The Channel house thought of even more. There were so many special little touches, like 2 bottles of wine (for an extra price) and wine glasses, chocolates, warm fresh-baked cookies, two water bottles in the fridge, bath crystals for the spa tub, bath robes, and they even had music playing for us in our room when we arrived. It was perfect! They also have a journal located in the room to record your experience and read other's as well. They keep a copy of Gerry Frank's Oregon in a drawer which is a good read. You are also within walking distance of both restaurants and shops. The only negatives… We stayed in the Spouting Horn room which was small and didn't have usual amenities like a coffee pot or a microwave. It also has a light post that slightly mars the view. We usually stay in larger hotels with more anenities, like a pool, coffee pot and microwave in the room, larger rooms, free hot breakfast, and for a lower price than we we payed here. Not sure if it was higher because of Spring Break. We payed $232 plus taxes and fees. But with that said, The Channel house has a unique charm with a cozy bed and breakfast feel. The staff were friendly and the continental breakfast was superb and beautifully displayed in the breakfast room which has a cozy atmosphere complete with fireplace and oceanview. The lady that does the baking was very friendly and gracious.

We stayed in the aft room which is pretty basic with a decent view from the table but not the bed area (which they were up front about). The staff was very nice and the breakfast is way better than normal with great views from the dining area. There's no beaches within walking distance but there's plenty to see and do. I will stay there again but I'd opt in for a better room.

This place was great. The views are spectacular and there's plenty to do in the area. I was nervous about the continental breakfast but it was more than enough and there was a good selection available.

We stayed in 12, and it exceeded our expectations. The view was beautiful, the room was clean, quiet (except for the crashing surf), and comfortable. The deck with lounge chairs and a jacuzzi tub was a great way to spend a beautiful evening at the coast. The innkeeper was helpful and friendly, with good suggestions on where to eat in town, things to do, and how to spot whales from our room. The breakfast featured homemade pastries, fresh made fruit salad, and more beautiful views. We'll definitely try to stay here again on our next trip to the area!

We stayed in room 4. The balcony wasn't very usable unless you were IN the jacuzzi tub. The bed was extremely firm and the pillows shallow enough so that I felt like I was sleeping at an angle with my head lower than the rest of my body. The firmness re-aggravated a recently healed shoulder injury. The "kitchenette" was pathetic… No microwave, no silverware of any kind, the refrigerator was more-so a wine fridge (minus the wine). The shower was very tiny. I don't believe any of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. No dogs allowed. Binoculars were provided for whale watching and such, but they were pretty crappy quality. The continental breakfast is fantastic and the lady who runs it is very nice. The area guide book provided in the room was helpful. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Small hotel with amazing views from the rooms. Luxurious & unique with the tub on the balcony. Fun watching whales and seeing boats go in and out of the channel to the harbor.

Best place I've ever stayed by a long shot, sitting in the jacuzzi on the balcony with a glass of wine at sunset, watching out for whales… Amazing experience!

Had a wonderful time there! Our room had the best view and the jetted tub on the balcony was amazing. We spent both nights enjoying the view, sipping wine purchased at the front desk, and being warm and cozy while the weather raged outside. Could not ask for more! We will definitely be going back to stay in the Admiral's suite.

Excellent service — — love the staff and the location equally. We have stayed here year after year. Breakfast is truly five star. This is our special get-away for just the two of us. Looking forward to many more years of pampering and romantic weeks away here.
