If you get so lucky as to find a chalet suite take it! It is worth the points. It is huge and has a Jacuzzi on the deck very relaxing and quiet and you have deer coming up to the back deck area. It is gorgeous!

Quality golf course. Very good shape. Challenging but fair. Just be sure to book online. Green fees are different if you just walk in.

This resort has so much potential. I really wanted to love it. When we arrived, our room was gross — sticky table (maple syrup? ), and there was food smeared on the phone. The staff was friendly but not helpful, almost like they had no idea what was going on. Then, in the middle of the night, the fire alarm started. We all had to evacuate the hotel (of course), but there was no leadership in any of the staff — this could have been a real emergency and they had no idea how to handle anything. The fire dept finally showed up 45 min later and cleared the hotel. I don’t know what’s going on at this place, but there are also many smaller things that were not consistent with any place above 2 stars. I will be looking elsewhere the next time I visit the area and I will be sure to share these thoughts with anyone that asks.

Wonderful place. Here it’s all about the service. From the very friendly front desk staff to the dining room team, they all want to make your stay memorable. I’d recommend in a heartbeat!

I had the best facial I have probably ever had at the Sandhills Spa! Sephora is amazing and did a GREAT job! I highly recommend her and will definitely be returning for another session!

I loved the place. The rooms are super quiet and spacious. The check in was great and they’re very personal.
The restaurant wasn’t the best experience. Ruddy Duck has the worst service and food. I bought a cheese burger and the bun was hard. I called and they said they would make me a new one. I bought my old one down there and they only wanted to give me the bread. It wasn’t a bun it was bread. By then my fries were cold and I had to make my burger again. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant! Service was bad.

Friendly service, good food, clean and spacious rooms, the view is amazing. Would definitely recommend heaters for outdoor dining, it was very cold trying to eat outside.
Glad we got to eventually move to the fire pit!

This is a beautiful place! Our room is really nice too… the only thing I wish was different is the shower head, it sucks, but I would totally recommend this place.

Just had our wedding here in 2.29.20! And I can honestly say the staff is above and beyond! Accommodating, hospitable and caring! It started from the moment we pulled into the driveway and saw a warm welcome on their entry boards! To the specific staff that stood out to us! Here is and extra shout out!
Amber the banquet manager and Michelle our bar tender were two of the shinning stars that made our day just a little more special! You two busted your butts off and worked so hard, and were the from all hours! Know it didn’t go unnoticed and we are grateful!
We also worked with Kim their wedding coordinator and I can honestly say she brings an extra value to the Running Y! She has a true eye for beauty and can make your vision come alive.
George and Roxanne with the hotel, as well were above and beyond accommodating and made sure we and our guests, got the best of the best as far as our lodging experiences. If you have a big party, their 10 bedroom lodge is jaw dropping gorgeous and I recommend booking it for any family event! I even took some of my wedding photos there due to to view of crater lake mountains and the Klamath lake! A true Klamath experience! I couldn’t thank you all enough for making our special day just a little more special with all your hard work and dedication! We will be back for many years to come! We enjoyed our stay the only things we weren’t too fond of…
1. No fresh coffee or tea offered to your guests?!?
You should never have to spend $9 on 2 cups of just awful joe.
2. The staff wasn’t very warm and welcoming with the exception of the gentleman who made our coffee.
3. When we took our children to their pool the German woman was EXTREMELY rude.

The excellent services. But must buy Wi-Fi connection. No Veterans or educational discounts. Only for the Rich and famous people.

Fantastic location to reconnect with nature and enjoy outdoor activities with family and friends.

Housekeeping was surprisingly bad at this property… they didn’t replenish bath supplies or even bother to make sure the bed comforter was straight and flat. Staff at the front desk and in the lounge was not terribly attentive. Pretty surprising since the facility itself is quite nice.

I have been here 4 times for work. The front desk and everyone here are very friendly and helpful and beautiful grounds! I’ll be back in August for two weeks!

It takes forever to eat at the restaurant. Good service but been busy siting over 30 minutes for oatmeal. Only about 5 tables with diners.

My sis & I had a very nice afternoon on the deck, enjoying the beautiful view of the golf course. The cheese board & unique cocktails were very delicious. Thank you Running Y!

Even when you're not royalty, you get treated as though you are! Had the best massage with my husband. The best scenery from our lovely room. The best breakfast and wait staff! Thank you for a drama free mother's day!

The facials given by Malissa at Sandhill Spa are FABULOUS! Having had the majority of facials in the Bay Area, I was a bit hesitant at first, but Malissa's facials have proven to be the best by far. She does her due diligence and prepares a facial regiment that is personalized for my skin. Absolutely amazing results-like a mini face lift. LOVE! She is friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend. The Ruddy Duck, on the other hand, can be terrific or terrible given the day. I've been many times, ordered the same entree on a number of occasions, and I never know what I'm going to receive. I've had to throw away the pizzas on a few occasions as the crust was raw. But, then I'll get the best pizza ever. Same with the halibut, appetizers (was given moldy bread before), and salads. One never knows. It could be a great restaurant given better management.

Was ok, but not for the price. Way too expensive for a room that is just average. This was the end of a coast to coast trip, and we had a better room with a view next to Central Park in Manhattan for less than the cost of this room. Wouldn't be bad if the amenities were included, however, everything cost extra. We also had bugs all over the inside and outside of the window. I paid extra for a room with a view, but we could barely see out of the window as it was covered with bugs and spiderwebs.

Wonderful resort and course, you won’t be disappointed! Friendly staff as well. Course is world class layout and most fun Palmer design I’ve ever played. A true masterpiece in the best condition imaginable. Golf shop staff could be a little more friendly and hospitable, but overall they are fine. $100+ green fees and no beverage cart available with water or refreshments on the course is the only negative thing I can say. Lack of service personnel in the golf course restaurant is the only reason this wasn’t a five-star rating. I will definitely come again.

First, it's beautiful. Has lovely ambience. For that, I'd add another half star. But… there were six of us. Took nearly half an hour for the wine and cocktails. Another hour and a half for the food, and then only five of the six meals arrived. One steak had been forgotten. The 7-oz filet is $32, so it should be perfect. Only comes with a pile of mashed potatoes and three pieces of asparagus. One was ordered medium rare, the other medium. Both were medium. No bread for the table. Only four setups. Asked waitress for cutlery. Ended up the people at the neighboring table went in search for us. Really, sort of an evening of what not to do if you're running a restaurant.

This is our second year at this property and we absolutely love it. I have a big gap in ages for my kids so all the different activities are fantastic. We love the courts. My teenager and I were out on them playing pickle ball everyday, and the entire family enjoyed the pool. There are beautiful trails and paths to walk. There is a pond with frogs and critters to sit and watch, park for the kids to play at. We walked to the restaurant, The Ponderosa, great food and decent beer selection. Convenient little store and deli. We had a great time.

We stayed in one of the houses outside of the lodge. It was big and beautiful and the grounds are nice to walk and explore. We paid a $90 cleaning fee and they still required us to take out the trash. I thought that was weird. The kitchen is equipped with the basics but nothing extra. We also had to clean off the patio furniture before we could sit down outside on the deck which was a bummer, but worth the effort! We liked our deer visitors!

We came here when we were passing through Klamath Falls. At last minute we got a great room for e good price. This place is amazing. The views are beautiful. Food is delicious. So many things to do. Love the community surrounding the resort. Definitely will be coming back soon.

What a great getaway for both couples and also families! The resort grounds are kept in great shape! The facilities are clean. The wildlife and birds are incredible to watch! The staff is so genuinely warm and inviting! We had such a relaxing time on our first time on vacation with our two little ones. I wish we could have stayed longer to decompress even further. The resort is a short drive out into the countryside from K Falls but not so far that it takes half the day to run to the store. I highly recommend booking your next family vacay with Running Y Resort!

Enjoyed our weekend June 7-11, 2018. Nice room, friendly staff, great outdoor bar area. Especially loved the evening around the fire place watching the sunset. Had a massage at the Spa, it was just ok. The food at the Ruddy Duck wasn't good at all. Drinks were ok. Really enjoyed the Ponderosa Bar & Grill on the resort property. Much better food and better prices. The one thing that they could do to improve on is there is only one small microwave on each floor and it was such bad quality it took forever to just head up a leftover sandwich. With a nice resort like this they should have a microwave in each room. They add on a "daily resort fee" and I think that is unnecessary.

We were three because of my dad's funeral. The staff was so nice and really worked with us to get the whole family taken care of. Amazing with the snow and deer too.

Very nice place. Friendly staff, eco and pet friendly in every way and plenty of great activities offered. Anyone who stays here will want to come back. Loved it!

This place was beautiful. We went just for the weekend, there isnt one bad thing I can say. The staff was great the room was amazing. And the view WOW. If I could give 6 stars I would. I would def. Recommend this place. We will be visiting again this summer. Thank you to the staff you guys are awesome.

The place needs a dog park with paved access (it's dirt road right now). A cement pad wash station with drains and a sidewalk back to the car would be great (keeping the dogs feet from getting back in the dirt before climbing in the car). Adding a small pond for the dogs would be fun It needs more options for shops (almost every shop is closed down, but it looks like they *used* to have an arcade, an ice cream shoppe & a bank). A single pump gas station would be divine since we have to drive 20 minutes back into town for gas. A mini movie theater would be a fun addition. The recycling is available, but inconvenient… wish its lot was paved (currently dirt) so my car mats didn't get muddy every time I drop off my recycling.

The place was extremely nice from the moment we walked in. The room was very spacious and the mattress was soft and comfy. We're not golfers but we putted around on the 18 hole mini course and it was very fun. The restaurant, I think it was called the Ruddy Duck, had an extremely good salad with steak on it.

Loved spending spring break here! Short drive to many beautiful walks/ hikes lakeside. The Lodge has delicious food. Worldmark rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Very classy wonderful service staff and surroundings, nothing is too much to ask for they will find a way to help you. Access parking is always great the views are beautiful and at night they always light up the place with plenty of Lights. During our visit we had a wonderful time at Best of The Basin, the food was wonderful and filled with lots of flavor. The staff came by constantly trying to make sure that we had everything we needed which was very appreciated. The bar up front has exceptional wait staff.

Great resort. We loved the pool area (awesome wading pool for little people) and playground. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms quiet and spacious. Everything very clean. Really nice toiletries. The beds were great eith both firm and soft pillows. Driving around in the evening, we counted 27 deer in a half mile! Lots of great nature and a perfect place for a family retreat.

Beautiful surroundings under tall pines and amongst the snow covered hill's you'll find the beautifully appointed guest rooms, chalets and apartment style living. From ICE skating, horse riding, swimming, golfing to quaint shops, fine to casual dining. It's all in one convenient place.

Very nice stay! Was cold and wintery, so I imagine it's beautiful in the summer! Nice room with spacious bathroom and balcony. Loved the food at the Ruddy Duck restaurant! We ate there for dinner and the dessert was amazing! It was a layer fruit flavored meringue with hazelnut filling topped with chocolate ganache served with whipped cream and huckleberries.

Very nice facility. Make sure you take advantage of the pool and spa! Great place to relax away from town. Los of things for you and your children.

It was a beautiful and romantic location for us. Of course it didn't hurt that it snowed almost the entire weekend and made a magnificent canvas for our memories.

Running Y Ranch Resort, rated 4-1/2 stars: this excellently crafted Arnold Palmer design quietly weaves its way through a wonderfully natural environment close to Klamath Lake. Along the way you'll experience three pleasantly varied habitats. There might not be any mountains in view, but the ever changing scenery ensures there's plenty to admire beyond this handsomely crafted course.

The room was clean and spacious, and it was well stocked with linens, extra pillows, and necessary fixtures. The room service was prompt and the in house restaurant had good food. The check in process was a bit of a irritation but that was due to our use of Groupon and we only saved a small amount. If I go again, I would just book with the resort to save the hassle.

Stayed 3 nights at the lodge. The staff were excellent, very nice people. The room was okay, nothing fancy. The location was nice. Lots of area to walk and see some wildlife. However… The bed in our room was atrocious, in desperate need of being replaced. The first night we were too tired to care (we arrived fairly late). The second and third mornings we woke up early, just in too much pain to sleep any longer from the swayback bed. We didn't complain to the front desk, maybe should have. I wouldn't stay at the lodge again, unless I knew they had newer beds.

Attended a hockey tournament and stayed multiple nights at the hotel. We had a great time, everyone was friendly except for the guy cleaning the bar late one night who yelled across the lobby "shut that dog up". The dog was only barking because there was a strange drunk man from the wedding party next door loitering in the lobby. Overall, a great time. Housekeeping was excellent and very friendly.

The room was great with a beautiful view and windows that opened. The Ruddy Duck food and service were superb, but the meal was a slow two hours at dinner. Breakfast was fast and I highly recommend the Cooper's Hawk omelette. The open-ended shower design in the bathroom is annoying. Also needs a ledge or bench to prop a leg upon.

It's a perfect place. We had a high school dance there. The workers are nice and helped us a lot.

We had a wonderful evening enjoying the view from our room and later having dinner inside the resort at The Ruddy Duck. The food was absolutely excellent. My husband has been a chef for 20+ years and we both enjoyed the meal and the service more then we have then at any other place we have dined at in the last 5 years. Our room was clean and spacious, and bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept beautifully. We enjoyed the view again this morning before having some equally excellent breakfast. We both agreed we will be back and often at that.

The running y has great views, great amenities and great staff. There's a couple restaurants on site and a golf course and other stuff that I haven't taken advantage of. I think you need to be a worldmark member (we are) to stay there though.

This place is perfectly acceptable for a nice getaway weekend with the partner or family. There's a golf course for those inclined and plenty of other great things to keep the rest entertained. It is a secluded spot out off the west side of the lake so know if you need anything from town it's 15 minutes away. The units vary from new to older so you can find about any price range you like. We arranged through Airbnb which utilizes a network of privately time shared units and ended up in two very nice 1990's style 2 bedroom suites with updates. Very cozy, a murphy bed in both units if you needed to sleep 6 instead of 4. Our first unit had no view but our second was stellar. So if you know that's important ask before booking and see what's available. This place books up welllllll in advance. All around nicely laid out retreat community and great winter access to Crater Lake.

It was amazing. So much to do for our whole family. The mini golf course was fantastic! We will definitely be returning.

Clean rooms, nice amenities. There was a power outage during our stay, which was inconvenient. They did offer to take off our resort fee. Overall service was good.

Played 18 holes and had a drink at the lounge. Super friendly staff, they actually gave us a couple free range tokens. The parmesean truffle fries were delicous!

Enjoyed my stay at this Klamath hotel. It is part of the Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts so I was also able to earn IHG Rewards Points for my stay at this Klamath Falls hotel. The hotel was clean and had everything I needed while doing business in Klamath Falls. The Ruddy Duck restaurant also had a nice selection of local brews and delicious menu items. Staff were friendly and accommodating during my stay at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel if visiting the Klamath Falls area.

Beautiful rural resort. We stayed in the lodge. Very comfortable king bed and clean room. Window facing the golf course. Dinner and breakfast was good. We might be back to stay in a townhouse or condo with family.

2014.08.01: It was OK, but that's it. There's a cheap, tacky, car-touristy feeling to this place somehow, which I wasn't expecting at all. I was expecting something a bit more rustic and cozy. At first I thought the "live music" at the bar was mediocre karaoke… Then the singer just kept going :) The air outdoors was really smoky when we visited because of the nearby wildfires (and yet there was a gas fire in the lobby fireplace). There wasn't a bathtub in the room, just a standing shower. The food at the restaurant was at least decent, though. I would have liked to eat outside on the restaurant's patio, but didn't get a chance. Overall, this place seems over-priced for what it is.

Great location and great government rates. Great discounts on golf for guest! Rooms are old and somewhat up to date. Staff was friendly and restaurant had good food. Little far from downtown. Klamath.
