Great stay for an OU football weekend, close to stadium, the history of OU football in every room and throughout the hotel a must see. Friendly staff and a great free breakfast buffet. Five star.

We stayed at Sooner Legends on our annual trip to Outlaw Armageddon at Thunder Valley. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great! If we ever come back to Norman, we will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

This is the worst customer service I have ever had. The manager (owners wife) had the audacity to call us at 11:00 pm when we were sleeping for an error that the lady at the front desk made when we checked in at 6:00 pm. Then she went even further to have us get out of bed to fix a mistake made by their own employee instead of just waiting until the next morning. She was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful when handling the whole situation.

Place sucks now. It's dead and you can't smoke there anymore. The owner gets butthurt if you sing songs that have screaming, (it's karaoke, get a grip grandma) red brick bar is much better. Won't be back.

I booked this hotel because it was one of the few in the area not showing bad ratings due to bed bugs. My initial impression was fantastic! Rooms were clean, no stains on sheets/pillows. Initially, my only complaint was that they have lowered drop ceilings in the bathroom. As a tall man, this made it hard to shower. So despite that, imagine my surprise when I discovered bed bugs! It seems all of Norman must have a problem. I am still giving them a two star rating though, because the staff was quick to get me another room, this time it was clean of bugs. They didn't argue or anything. The girl at the desk even said that they would go down and check the room and that management may be calling me in the morning to discuss the issue (never did get the call). Breakfast the next day was nice. About on par with most mid range priced hotels. All in all, if they can get rid of the bed bug problem, I would give them a much higher rating.

My husband and I have been coming to SOONER Legends for years! We visited this weekend. Enjoyed the 8 foot deep pool, great room, breakfast was awesome. We will continue to stay there about every 2 months as our Get Out of Southern Okla get away! We recommend it to all of our friends.

Warm welcoming staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The pool area has a private feel to it and is clean. One of the better free breakfast spots, most anything you could ask for. They were very accommodating when I asked for something. The bar area is a hot spot, especially on the weekends. Karaoke and DJ. The bartender named Tuesday was SUPER upbeat and friendly and offered many suggestions on local places to visit and see. All in all I couldn't be more pleased with my visit and would definitely stay again if I'm back in the area.

Restaurant section is still closed as of mid August 2018. They have a limited version of the main menu in the bar. The food is the same and still tastes good. We ate early before the place got busy, so no idea what the bar is like. Bartender was friendly and served us well. Sept. 2018 Is the target reopening month for the restaurant side.

Every Sooner fan should stay here. The rooms are retro honoring the Sooners of a earlier generation. The crimson and creme motel has a bar and grill inside with happy hour. The staff are polite and eager to help. Parking is in abundance. The fans whom stay here always seem friendly.

Really neat hotel! staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast was awesome. Specific wing of the hotel is pet friendly and it was a great stopover during a cross country trip. Highly recommended.

Great staff, mostly clean (one dead spider — easy to miss). Bathrooms were kind of tight, but the rest was fantastic! Would definitely go back!

The bar tender on duty on Tuesday afternoon was pretty cool! There was nobody in there but my buddy and I and he hung out with us and socialized as we had a few beers and played trivia. I got hungry and asked for a menu. There was not much on it at all. The only thing that appealed to me was the chicken bites. He recommended them. They were pretty good. I guess you could say it was okay for bar food. The prices were not terribly bad. I paid under 20 dollars for 3 bottles of domestic lite beer and the bites. I thought it would be more. Then again, I do not drink very often. The place smelled of cigarette smoke and I am not used to that as I live in Florida and no smoking is allowed inside an eating establishment. Guess it is something one would have to get used to.

31st anniversary and everything from the staff the food the rooms to the atmosphere made us feel special and rewarded in our love and hard work in life. Thank you. Pool was very soothing!

Very pleased with the hotel. My daughter was doing her campus tour for OU and we picked Sooner Legends due to the memorabilia and the location. The inside is wonderful and the room was great. The only issue was finding enough outlets for two women lol but other than that we were very pleased. The staff was wonderful and swift. Thanks again Sooner Legends!

Sooner Legends Inn is always a favorite when we're in town. Love the sports history captured within the inn. The staff is friendly & welcoming. The rooms are clean & the beds are comfortable. The full buffet breakfast offers plenty of options for the light to big country breakfast eater for adults & kids alike. We look forward to our next visit. Boomer Sooner!

The bartenders are amazing, friendly, and attentive, and the new DJ they have on Friday night Karaoke and Saturday dance music has a great play list, approachable, friendly, and willing to play all Genres of music. You should come out just to have a great time, sing, and dance!

Phenomenal hotel! Phenomenal staff! The owner is the absolute best! He REALLY makes sure you are taken care of! One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The only improvement needed is faster Wi-Fi. Nonetheless, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY STAY THERE AGAIN! My rating should be 4.5 stars but Google doesn't give that option.

I was here with friends that are huge college football fans, and it was the Sooner playoff game (Jan 2018). The vibe was easily 6 out of 5 stars — very fun to be in their school's hometown for this game. But, this place is just a bar that does sell some food. And I'm spoiled by no-smoking places from back home. My eyes burned from the non-stop cigarettes. : ( Waiters/waitresses were friendly, food was pretty good, and the drinks were solid.

Saturday night visit. A lot of tables with chairs to visit. Dance floor (adequate) The DJ was great. A couple pool tables. Full bar.

Love it here! Especially the giant picture of BLAKE GRIFFIN awesome drinks awesome people awesome food I loved the personalized card on checkout.

If you want to be a fan of OU Heritage this is definitely the hotel to pick big age the building and you will definitely go blind from seeing white and maroon.

It was ok. A nice quite bar, good for karoke & picking up 40 + men. Not much else.

Nice size Room with a King bed. Room appears to be well maintained. As the pictures show, lots of Sooner memorabilia. Haven't tried breakfast yet but it's FREE.

The bar here is great cheap pool (1.00) a game drinks are cheap unfortunately the restaurant is closed but you can still order some food from the bar. Its quiet and relaxing. Good local spot to go chill have a couple of drinks and watch a game.

Sooner Legends is a great place to take friends for a night out. Oklahoma University (OU) decor all over! Family friendly, too. Food is always great! BBQ, grilled chicken, burgers, even Mexican food! Large menu with something for everyone. Wait staff is always pleasant and efficient. We've been going there for years and will continue!

This is a unique hotel. It's a great place to visit if your a sports fan. I'm. It an OU fan but I really enjoyed the history of sports. The rooms are comfortable, not perfect, but an enjoyable place. Hotel staff appear to be college students so they are not the friendliest, but approachable and helpful. We will most definitely come back when we go to the OKC area.

Fun hotel. Nice change from chain hotels. My family visited from Overland Park. We aren't Sooner fans but we really liked the hotel and enjoyed spending time in Norman.

Just was there for a baby shower. Seemed like a decent place but I didn't have any of their food. The staff there was very helpful with the whole event though and the bathrooms were clean. I'd check it out for dinner sometime for sure.

The hotel is mediocre, the breakfast is mediocre but better than a chain hotel and the pool large and jam packed with kids from various camps in the area. The staff was very friendly but the facility felt understaffed. It was a decent family experience — 3 moms and 6 girls traveled to nearby gymnastics camp and stayed for a long weekend. The HUGE disappointment was that in all of that inspiring athletic 'sooner' memorabilia decorating the walls and rooms we had to search to find images of female athletes! I asked about it at the front desk and the kind young woman referred me to a handful of photos we might find in the hotel. I will not recommend this hotel to any of the many gymnast families we know that travel to Norman for camp.

Been staying at Sooner Legends for a number of years now when we are in Norman for football games, football camps, etc. Very unique facility for Sooner devotees. We have been well treated and served. Love the complimentary breakfast — — especially on Sundays after Sat. Games.

We stayed at Sooner Legends in July of 2016 and had a great stay. A bitter-sweet experience is that we stayed in the Teddy Lehman room. And my son and I actually met Teddy when the Sooners played in the Rose Bowl out here in Los Angeles, both after the game and at their pregame practice. So it was definitely a bitter-sweet room to stay in. Front Desk were super kind and helpful. Room was comfy and spacious. Some cosmetic touch-ups are in need and their was minor renovations going on. The rear-parking entrance and the adjacent stairwell smelled like smoke. I would absolutely give Sooner Legends a solid 4.7 stars, but I rounded up because it is our favorite Football team the Oklahoma Sooners of course, and I always wanted to take my son to OU. Thank you Sooner Legends for having a great Sooners experience.

My wife called tonight in tears because while on business she found bed bugs in her room. When she went down to tell the front desk the guy was very rude and acted as if she was interupting his night. She asked that someone inspect the new room she was placed in and the guy reluctantly went up but didn't look at anything. She had to inspect the room herself with no help from the worthless front desk. I hope everyone gets word out that this place has an issue with bed bugs and they don't seem in any hurry to accommodate their customers. I will never stay at this hotel on business or vacation.

I've never stayed in the hotel, but the restaurant is a place I go to several times a year. And, we've used the banquet rooms several times. The best brisket enchiladas ever. They are wonderful. Everything I've ever tried at the restaurant has been great. The service can be a little slow sometimes which is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars. But it is the great food that keeps me coming back. The banquet rooms are easy to reserve and they offer many, many food and drink options for the rooms. Prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend Sooner Legends.

Helped cater an event for us super short notice, but were very professional, kind and courtesy throughout the process. Food arrived on time, had a great set up presentation and most important, our residents loved the food.

My family and I stay here just about every time we have a tournament in Norman. We really enjoy the size of the rooms and the nostalgia on the walls is great as well. Morning breakfast was always a typical egg, bacon, cereal breakfast. It was hot, ready and waiting for us. My personal favorite are the mini auctions they have in the lobby. I won a few items and proudly display those on my wall in my game room.

Horrible! Went on 10/10/2016, terrible service. Took forever for food, appetizer came with dinner. Food was cold and over cooked, as if left under a warmer all day. I have eaten here before, this was terrible! Will not be back and will not recommend to anyone. I give a 1 star because it won't allow me to issues a negative star!

Excellent Hotel — Great clean rooms, amazing collection of OU memorabilia, wonderful food and comfy bar. All around a great place to stay the night when visiting Norman — or just catch a great meal!

We had our daughter's 6th birthday party at the pool and catered by the hotel. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating and eager to help. The pool area is perfect for entertaining — it never dawned on us to also reserve the banquet room that opens on to the lanai but we certainly will next time. The hotel also made rooms available at great rates for the out of town family that came in for the party. The food was very good consistently throughout the weekend — the only suggestion on the food would be to have bacon available every morning and rotate the other meats through and have a make your own waffle station. The only suggestion for the events staff would be to come up with some birthday packages that make it a one-stop shop for parents (cake, ice cream, balloons, decor, party favors, etc. ). Having worked with a number of hotels in the area on many different events, the team at Sooner Legends has to be the friendliest and the most accommodating I have worked with. Plus, they make the best club special in town!

ALWAYS great bar-b-q! We HAVE to go here before the OU basketball games. The MOST tender ribs and brisket — EVER! And the sauces? Well, just the best I've ever tasted! Serving sizes are large, but I can never get enough of the beans! To sum it up — you'll never be disappointed!

Excellent food and service!

The bar service is amazing! The waitress had us laughing and we didn't wait long for drinks! They have karaoke on Saturdays and that's always a blast!

They were really helpful at the main desk. The restaurant staff went WAAY out of their way to makes us as welcome and comfortable as possible. Their pizza was fresh and handmade and it was delicous. 8/8 would rate again, mate.

Service is pretty good. It is close to the university of oklahoma. I liked its atmosphere too.

We had an enjoyable meal at the restaurant. The food was good and the service was great. They had kid friendly things for my daughter to do. So the short wait was painless. The Sooner memorabilia and ample TV kept mom and dad entertained.

The food here is INCREDIBLE! The menu is huge and has something for everyone. What a cool concept too! I would recommend this place to anyone for dinner or an overnight stay. Great people too!

Sooner Legends is a very nice facility with just tons of fun memorabilia of Sooner greats. I am impressed with the staff have felt very comfortable in my experiences there. The only reason it is not 5 star? I am an Oklahoma State grad! :)

We spent a recent Friday evening at Sooner Legends Bar and had a blast! The DJ was excellent and service was great. We had a good size group celebrating a birthday and the accommodations and atmosphere worked perfect for our group. They also have a great restaurant. Plan your next evening out in Norman at Sooner Legends!

We used Sooner Legends catering for our company holiday party. The food was delicious — everyone loved it and most people had seconds. The only thing better than the food was the exceptional service we received. Renee Hill went above and beyond. She helped us create the perfect menu for our event, offered quick and responsive service to our questions, made sure we were completely satisfied and far exceeded all of our expectations. They made planning our party simple, special and delicious!

You have to eat the Remedy chicken dinner! It is the bomb.

Hotel is Ok, rooms are nice, hot water for showers was good only problem was resturant, first afternoon ordered a cheeseburger and bun was flat and soggy and meat looked and tasted like frozzen patty. Second resturant experience, first taes, bench seat had crumbs amd window seals had chunks of old dried food on them, for Breakfast I orderd a peach cobbler, menu said it was home made, didnt look like, had uniformed marks on pastry, which wasnt cooked at all, I asked the waiter if it was homemade as menu stated, he said he didn't know, anyway the resturant by what I could see is good for"onion rings and beer but I would reccommend not eating there at all and based on number if customers (except for free breakfast) I think the locals know not to eat there.

Stayed here with a friend to help watch her 1 year old child while she took a test. She was under the impression me and her child would be able to stay in the room till she was done with her test. After 2 cleaning ladies knocked on our door to clean I got a call at 2pm saying check out is at 12 and they never let anyone stay past 2. I told her the situation and said I would be out as soon as I could pack up all of our stuff and the baby. She continued to "scold" me for not knowing something I was not responsible for knowing. When leaving I had to leave 2 bags in the hotel while putting the baby in their car seat but when I came back, my hotel key no longer worked. I drove to the front to check out and asked if I could get my bags. She then tried to act all nice and sympathetic after being completely rude on the phone. After I told her the baby was taking a nap she said, oh if I had known I would have let you stay. This hotel has soooooooo many rooms there was no reason for me to be rushed out and treated the way I was. It was a miscommunicate and she treated me like I was doing it on purpose. Because of me being rushed out I forgot items in the fridge (the baby's sippy) and my friends really expensive pillow. I am now having to have it shipped back to my friend at who knows the cost. Very frustrated with the customer service.

All dedicated to Sooner Legends of the past and present. From Bud Wilkinson to Sam Bradford. Including basketball, baseball and more! And the restaurant has excellent food, you dont want to miss the enchiladas and fried chicken. YUMMY! For die-hard Sooner fans, you can't miss this one! Definitely an Oklahoma treasure! I was born in OK but moved to FL when I was 8. I am now 28; both of my parents and an uncle attended OU so I was raised an OU fan but had never attended a game or had even been to Norman for that matter. After graduating law school this past year, my uncle, who is a season ticket holder, put the schedule in front of me and said "Pick". I chose the WVU game of 2013 and he put me up in the Sooner Legends hotel. As a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, I spent my first night in the Selmon Suite (which was beyond amazing) and then moved rooms to the Bob Kelsu room for the remainder of my stay. People have commented negatively on this hotel citing that the hotel caters to the "better off" and that the breakfast is sub-par (so to speak). I must say that this is not the Hyatt, however you could not find a finer hotel anywhere near campus and the breakfast is precisely an OK breakfast. The bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy were not generic. I know generic eggs from generic hotels, they put a little bit of love in them here. The fruit was quite fresh and being from FL I know fresh fruit (they also offer pancakes, and continental options such as bagels and cereal). The owner took time to have a long and wonderful conversation with my uncle and myself and extended unnecessary hospitality that you can only get from genuine Okies.

Walls are paper thin. Reminds me of a motel 6. Will never stay here unless it is the only one available. Bed is lumpy.

I have stayed in this motel for two weeks and I have had two different rooms. It appears to be an old motel with a very cheesy make over. It has an awesome theme of the "Sooners" but its kind of over kill with all the wall pictures. They could take down like 1/4 of them. Let’s start with cleanliness:. I give them an A. I put my white glove everywhere and flipped all the sheets. Couldn't find a thing. Good job house cleaning :) The rooms and hallways have that new renovated hotel smell along with the laundry but hey it’s clean! Next we will go over the front desk: I give them a B Very good friendly people dressed unprofessionally. They wear ou sweaters and shirts with blue jeans. I noticed the managers wearing slacks and ou polo shirts in their offices and I believe the front desk could adapt this apparel. Quality: C First night inside the shower (without touching it) the metal toiletry holder on the showerhead fell off. Both rooms I was in had the worse caulking job I’ve ever seen. I mean seriously? They put marble on the walls of the showers (looks nice) with sloppy clear caulking and white caulking everywhere. The red carpet is torn up and ugly. THE BEDS ARE AMAZING AND COMFY! If you plan on charging your laptop and cellphone good luck finding an outlet (that is not inside the bathroom area) to charge your cellphone and your laptop without unplugging a lamp. BTW room 3118 has no open outlet by the table made for office work. Seriously now?!
