I understood that I was trying to save a few dollars by staying at this hotel to have extra spending cash for the trip, but I never imagined it would have been this bad. First off… I don't know where the photos of the hotel were taken, but the rooms look nothing like them. The hotel was very run down for the price. The carpet was ancient and dirty. The walls had holes and seemed very unfinished. I stayed eight days and could only get one warm shower; the rest were cold. I got a suite with two beds and came to find out there was only one bed and a pull-out couch. Rooms are not insulated well, and you can hear everything inside and outside the hotel. Our room was next to the elevators so we heard everything going on in the hallways. The rooms had a kitchenette, but with the roaches in all the cabinets, we did not use any cooking utensils or eat in the room, so the purpose of having that type of room in the first place was defeated. I paid for parking, but the staff filled the parking lots daily, including one staff motorcycle that took a parking space close to the building that should have been used for handicapped parking. Only one handicapped parking space was filled with a staff car that did not have a handicap placard or plates. Guests paying 35 to 45 per day to the park should only have to fight some of their staff to park. We had two people in wheelchairs, but that did not seem to matter as staff watched us going into the building with the two wheelchairs while they parked, including the handicapped parking space. The ramp to the back and front of the building was so steep that it took two people to get the chairs up into the building. There were only two elevators to get to the rooms, which always made for a line. All the amenities offered are in the lobby, so you had to fight again to go up and down the elevator. We had people on different floors, so if you went from the 11th floor to the fourth, you had to go back down to the lobby to go back to the 11th floor and could not just go from the 4th floor to another floor. The daily aloha snack pack is only included if you pay the total price for the room; even though I was paying for parking and a room upgrade, we could not receive this amenity. They claim to have an onsite Concierge for tours, but when I stayed, I only saw someone at the desk two times. With the free Wi-Fi, you could take it off the site as an amenity, it was terrible, and my hotspot was much faster. I would not recommend it and will pay for an Airbnb next year.
