Park short wikiki offers the best oceán views with awesome sunset, also available room with diamond head view and oceán view. I felt in love with this place. Close to Beach and all the restaurants and shops and more.

Already miss this hotel! My wife and I were just there 3 weeks ago. I loved that it was right next to the beach (just had to cross the street! ) and the free filtered water dispenser by the elevator was a huge plus! The staff there is also very friendly and attentive. Lots of great amenities and restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend avoiding the touristy area of Waikiki and venture up Kapahulu Ave and try the more local restaurants that are within walking distance (Rainbow Drive-In, Ono Seafood, Leonard's Bakery, and even Tucker & Bevvy was not too bad) More specifically, I loved that they had boogie boards, beach chairs, and towels that you could take with you to the beach. When we needed anything replaced in our room we were able to get it right away. There was even the option to check out a GoPro but we didn't take advantage of that. The only complaint I have is that the curtain in room 420 didn't shut all the way, to make the room completely dark for when we wanted to sleep in a little bit longer and avoid seeing the sunrise in the early morning.
Otherwise I would love staying here again!

One of my best experience ever, I have been to many, many, many hotels and by far the staff at park shore has been the kindest, warmest and most accommodating. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely come back to the park shore.

I’d give it’s 3 out 5. Beds were very comfortable. Place was in a great location and was clean. Pool closes early and there is no other common places to gather. If you are looking for a place that’s very accommodating this isn’t the place. At 30% booked up they would not upgrade us to a better room without charging us a large amount. That’s fine but would have been nice to get a reasonable priced upgrade, then because of Covid they were not accommodating on late check outs. Parking fee was also very expensive. If they were accommodating in any way I’d likely stay again. Next year I’ll try a different hotel for our stay.

Thank you for having us we will totally be back your hotel was definitely in my top 5 amazing staff and service! So accommodating so completely awesome I don’t even know how to put it into words. This was my family’s first time ever staying here and we loved it my son enjoyed his days in the pool.! And I loved the fact that it was shallow enough for him to stand, and swim on his own! Roxy is the best! We checked in and Brian gave us a room with 1 bed for 4 people. When we reserved it said 2 beds. I asked for a bigger room and he said didn't have. She called and upgraded us to a room with 2 beds! They also brought me to the room chocolate macadamia nuts and a bottle of champagne for my birthday! They're trying their best to make our stay enjoyable ❤

Fab location, just a short walk from beach (60yds) and short walk to int market place and various other places. Fab views of the ocean and the crater. Fab staff, all friendly and helpful. Would gladly stay here again.

We were presented with bottled cold water on arrival at the check in counter by Michelle, and then the experience got even better. She was helpful and genuinely excited for our anniversary holiday. We have a beautiful room, and then received a lovely bottle of champagne and some chocolates to help us celebrate.

Park Shore is an optical located hotel. We stayed here for six nights. Our ocean front room was amazing! The view was unparallel. Everyone at Park Shore was helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an optical location to shopping, the beach, Diamond Head, the zoo, the aquarium, amazing restaurants, and all that Honolulu has to offer.

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Park Shore. It was very close to the beach and every morning we were welcomed by staff of the hotel. They were very accommodating to every need we had. We will definitely come back again.

Daily they didn’t restock rooms properly. So, had to call the front desk almost every day of our stay to ask for different amenities, that should have been restocked. No shower for the pool area. No bathroom fans. Refrigerator was too small, and wouldn’t close probably if you put anything in them. The cockroaches are very bad here. One morning using the microwave, which is in a common room with the vending machines, a cockroach crawled up from behind it. Seems like they could do more to try to keep the cockroaches away. They would not offer us a late check out. But Beautiful view, close to the zoo and beach.

AMAZING view! Stayed in an ocean front room and it was better than I expected. Room was clean and not out dated. Pool was clean.

This location is great! All the staff were soo nice and helpful telling us where to go on excursions! The rooms are cleaned to the T. I smell bleach in the bathrooms everyday, so you know they’re doing a great job. Concierge service is excellent Located across from the beach and next to the zoo, its a perfect location to walk where you need to go. I would definitely stay here again.

Most comfy bed and pillows… stunning view out to Waikiki Beach.

Do not stay at this hotel. Had confirmation from Travel Agent when booking resort fee which is a joke was $25 per night. They have since increases this as I found out when checking out to $39 per night. There are no amenities at this hotel. No laundromat or Gym. The house keeping comes around 3pm Wi-Fi is not great. Beware before booking to look at this fee as it is more than the 4star hotels in Waikiki charge! They did end up charging less after I complained. But this is a serious rip off!

I started staying here in the ‘80’s and will never stay anywhere else. The location is excellent (beach and park/zoo across the street). It’s quiet and the views are amazing! The pool is wonderful because it’s not crowded, you’re never fighting for a lounge chair. There is a great restaurant, a Starbucks, and of course an ABC store all located at the hotel. Plus a booking rest for all of your tour needs. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

We are from New Zealand and my mum, sister, two aunties and myself stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise and 1 night after our cruise and we loved it. We had an easy check in with your awesome helpful and friendly staff the beach was pretty much right out the door as well as the Zoo and aquarium and everything else was within walking distance from the hotel.
We will definitely stay if we come over again in the near future but will get a room with an ocean view next time. Thank you.

To be fair, it's a good location. My parents had always stayed in this hotel for the last three times they were here. Unfortunately, now, we won't choose here again. Never. I would have given them a higher score, maybe a 2; however the last impression I had of them after our 11 days stay, was ruined by a lady (probably in her 40s) at the desk, as we checked out. Usually when I get myself to leave a hotel, I like to check under the bed (s) to see if I missed packing anything. Guess what I found? One big bag of empty beer cans under one bed and one pair of shoes under the other bed. They were not mine and I stayed there for 11 nights. VERY CLEARLY, they don't clean the room, otherwise, this large bag of empty beer cans wouldn't have stayed under my bed all this time, unless someone 'accidentally' brought it into my room and left it there. When I said mentioned this to the lady at the front desk, in a very irritated and disgusted tone, she said, "Why didn't you tell us earlier? " Is it my fault now because I didn't have the habit of checking my bed before I leave the hotel? Her attitude was completely rude. I'm extremely disgusted, not only by what I found, but also by her attitude. Yes I also did miss that big bag filled with empty cans under my bed for 11 days, but because we, as customers, pay the money to sleep in a hotel, NOT to clean? Is this not the house keeping's job? If it is, HOW COULD THEY HAVE MISSED IT?

We took the surf lessons on offer here and enjoyed ourselves. However, it's busy in this area and the hotel lobby feels pretty impersonal compared to others we've been in on the island. Would recommend something quieter if you're looking to relax.

GREAT GREAT place to stay. Customer service was above and beyond with every single employee we interacted with. Special shout out to Blayne and Zac for being so helpful. Rooms and halls were clean, maid service was very attentive. Only con is that the room was small but we didn't spend much time there for it to be an issue. Thanks again.

3 stars because everything was acceptable except my view and service in the beginning. Paid extra for an ocean view and basically got a partial ocean view, probably a pool view based on the photo I uploaded. Should have been able to take great photos from my lanai, but instead I had to go up quite a few floors to get a good picture. Front desk was unprofessional and rude until we paid for our room. Room kind of smelt like urine, but it might have been chlorine in the carpet. Also a little out dated. Amazing shower head and water pressure! Great choice for location and atmosphere.

Ate lunch at the Reef Bar and Grill restaurant right next to the water. Beautiful view of the ocean, Diamond Head and Waikiki beach with the onshore breeze coming in through the window. Our seared mahi salad with fruit kabobs were delicious! Also, try their lava chocolate cake with the guava center and coffee! You can't go wrong.

Very nice for the price. FYI: They charge resort fees and parking in just about every hotel in Waikiki. Be prepared. The rooms were decent, bathroom was roomy for 1. Nice amenities. They were great about running up towels and bringing the car around. Nice location.

Having just returned from Park Shore we found our stay there brilliant. Although it was a bit dated it was lovely & clean and very comfortable. The view from our Oceanview Apartment seeing Diamond Head to the left & across the road to a beautiful beach was awesome. The staff couldn't have been more friendly & helpful. Nice location being a bit further from the hub of the city but only 10 minute walk if you want to get back to the heart of Waikiki but still plenty of Restaurants & shops on your doorstop. We will definitely go back. Thanks for such a good time.

Paid $250 a night for a basic room, then was told to pay an extra $25 per day as a ‘resort fee’ (was not advertised when we booked it). We stayed for 12 nights so this was significant. Rooms were fairly old with dated shower and dirty shower curtain. Room cleaning consisted of tucking in the bed and giving towels, not impressed! Air con didn’t work well, thermostat was off so room was either boiling hot or overly icy. Didn’t get the stunning views advertised, was looking at another apartment. Many homeless hanging around outside hotel, one even urinated on the steps. No security to stop any random going up the elevator to hotel room doors. Turned out to be a bit disappointing.

This was absolutely Breathtaking scenes of Diamond Head and of Waikiki Beach from our balcony. This was my first trip to Hawaii and it won't be my last. The staff are all friendly, respectful, helpful and gave us information on where to go for the best food and the best Luau. I would recommend Park Shore Waikiki Hotel to anyone that wants a clean room, beautiful scenes from their balcony and access to every store and mall in walking distance. If you haven't stayed at the Park Shore yet do it you will not be disappointed. Chad was the most helpful bellman he gave us information on where the restaurants to the best Luau. I highly recommended Park Shore Waikiki.

With this hotel you get your standard beachfront place. Small rooms with awesome views. The zoo and the beach are directly across the street. The “resort fee” covers beach chairs and towels but do not misplace a towel or you will get charged $30 for each one. Upon checking in Brian was able to see that I paid for the room in full however I still needed to pay taxes and fees of $132 so I gave my card and was charged the $132. Then upon checkout I was told by Brian again that I did not pay that money and it was still owed. If I refused to pay it I would then be stealing services and prosecuted for this. I told him that you in fact charged my card upon checking in and I was not paying it again and I needed to speak with his supervisor. The next gentleman that came over was able to see that the “taxes and fees” were paid and I was on my way. To have a wonderful week in Waikiki end on such a sour note because of one gentleman named Brian is very unfortunate. I would stay here again though I would warn anyone of Brian and hope this hotel sends him back through a very extensive training process.

Although the hotel is older and not renovated, it's location is side-by-side with very expensive resorts, so for the price, you're seeing the same ocean from your balcony and staying in the same location as much more expensive hotels. It's right next door to the zoo and walking distance to the amazing mall and famous Duke's. And I would describe their restaurant as a step-up from a cafe and has seating overlooking the ocean. The service was exceptional … very pleasant staff. Good value — I'd stay again. Although my experience was 4 stars, I'm rating 3 stars because it's a 3-star hotel and I want to be accurate about what you're getting.

The Park Shore Waikiki was great! We were on the top floor with ocean and Diamond Head views! The room was clean and just the right size for us. Everyone was so friendly. The bed & breakfast package saved us in the mornings! We will return!

The only thing this hotel has to offer is the location. The rooms had a cold prison like feel (never been in prison). The bathrooms are so small you cant use the sink or mirror without your leg rubbing the toilet. The elevators never worked properly which led to very long wait times and very cramped elevators. All rooms are charged a resort fee for some reason. I questioned the resort fee because this hotel doesn't have a bar or serve breakfast… it doesn't even have a work out area! I questioned the check in clerk about the the resort fee and I was told that they simply charge a resort fee because all others hotels have a resort fee. This hotel had distinct odor that just made it feel old. I will say the staff was friendly… You get what you pay for here folks!

The hotel was very nice. Helpful staff. The oceanview room had a great view from the lanai. Right across the street from the beach. Room was a nice size. Convenient location. Close to restaurants and shops. I would say 4.5, only taking. 5 for valet only parking. Would definitely stay here again seems to be on the less dense end of Waikiki.

Have stayed at the Park Shore twice already and absolutely love it! Amazing location, short walk to many restaurants and shops, right across from the beach, with an incredible view. Had an ocean front room last time and highly recommend! After a delayed flight and coming in extremely late, Roxy made us feel very welcome and made everything a lot easier for us. Staff are great, rooms were clean and spacious, absolutely love this hotel and cannot wait to plan our next trip, hopefully in September this year!

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping are very thorough and keep the room nice and clean. The rooms are decently sized, and we had a good view of the ocean. The pool is average. Its small, but clean. Parking is expensive, but comparable to others in the Waikiki area. The hotel does also have a resort fee. They will let you have beach towels, chairs and also the occasional boogie board etc.

Typical 3 star hotel. We had a baby with us and they put us on the top floor which is quite nice. The room though is pretty small. We had a king size bed and a metal crib and pretty much there’s no room to walk around. One of the elevators was out of order for the whole week we were there so waiting for the lift is a pain. Other than that, the staffs are really friendly and it’s easy access to the beach.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. Completely outdated, the air conditioning in the room is so noisy, and the beds are rock solid. When we arrived they checked us in. We took the elevator all the way up to our room and realized they had given my bf and I two double beds. When I went to speak to the desk clerk, he said he had given all the king beds away to the people who checked in early. I’m not impressed, was not appologetic at all. For the price there are better hotels to stay at in Waikiki.

The main reason I come to this hotel is for the excellent Japanese restaurant called yoshitsune. They have the most addictive rice. Service is always thoughtful and the cooking is top-notch. It has valet parking which is free for the restaurant. I make sure to come here at least two or three times a trip to have the incredible breakfast or lunch here. Dinner is also equally great but priced at a commensurately more expensive night time cost.

Nice hotel in a great location. The Diamond Head views were great, as well as down on to Waikiki Beach. There’s easy access to and from the airport and lots of stuff around the hotel. Several different food options nearby from upscale to fast food. The beach couldn’t be closer, as well as the zoo.

Overall it is a nice place. My room did not have an ocean view, and the AC was blowing over the bed. The hotel's staff was courteous and helpful.

We literally stayed on the beach most free time we had. Beautiful clean sandy beaches, we saw jellyfish, which I kept running from. Lol! But I loved the refreshing feel at the end of each day.

I had a great stay! I think the most memorable part of the stay was the Japanese restaurant in the lobby. They have great sushi and the staff all spoke Japanese — which for me was a lot of fun because it meant I got to try out my awful Japanese on them. They were champs for putting up with me. Beyond that, the hotel itself is great, the pool is good, and easy access to the beach and stores. Great location.

Wonderful hotel with great location and views of both the beach and Diamond Head. Reception staff are extremely accommodating and helpful and all other staff members are so friendly. Makes your vacation that much better having to deal with such lovely people. Big shout out to Risa, she is awesome!

Aside from being placed at the seaside and staff welcoming this hotel does not deserve these stars.
The cleaning of the room leaves to be desired or not even done.
Some garbage cans are emptied only at the end of the day (pool and Hall), beautiful image of the hotel.
As there is no breakfast, they set up a coffee shop in the self service lobby but when it is empty no change.
One day a person from the hotel flew us to our room but the manager was not interested to know more.
Am very disappointed in brief, I highly recommend this hotel to future holidaymakers.

Not a bad place if you're on a budget. The room we had was just a place to sleep. If you want an ocean side room you'll pay more. Our room faced the hotel next door, but if you leaned over the railing you can see the ocean. There was not a lot of drawer space to put clothes aways and we lived mostly out of the suitcase. The room didn't have a any place to sit other than a little bench, big enough for one person. The room should have had a little table and two chairs. When we brought food back we had to eat on the bed, awkward. It also would have been nice to have chairs on the balcony. Even if not ocean view the Hawaiian weather is still nice to enjoy without having to stand. I know the ocean view rooms have chairs on the balcony and table and chairs in the room so if you want those amenities you'll pay more. The plus is the hotel is right across from the beach and the staff is wonderful and full of the aloha spirit.

Beyond Amazing! I loved the service from the time we arrived. Our stay here was as good as it possibly could be. The front desk was very helpful and the bag service was very courteous. The rooms are pristine and beautiful. You couldn't beat the view either. This is a must when staying in Honolulu, you won't regret it!

Location was good, room was clean we looked out on a partial beach view which was lovely!
However we were disappointed that our room was missed for housekeeping! Even though I asked mid afternoon they assured me room would be serviced by 5, this clearly did not happen. Renovations are undergoing and that was unsettling and while sitting by the pool we were covered with dust and small debris so that was not so nice. Still find the resort fee annoying apparently that Covers towel and lobby refreshments, wow we recently stayed at the Coconut and they provide those and more and no resort fee! Found staff ok but not overly friendly,

Very well maintained place with a beautiful view of the sea and the Diamond Head. Courteous and attentive staff. Service of beach towels at will as well as the loan of beach chairs very appreciated.

This hotel may seem a little dated but it's perfect for spending a week in Waikiki! The concierge was always helpful, the staff friendly and trusting, and the rooms were very clean and we'll kept. We didn't use the pool, but it was clean and inviting. I really liked how it was located right on the corner of all the action. House Keeping was quiet and quick. We never had any issues with towels or toiletries. You may be disappointed with the size of the rooms, but even with our king bed, my girlfriend and I found it very manageable, as you'll likely be adventuring during your stay. As some other people had mentioned, you can hear some noise from the hallways and other rooms. They were also doing construction during our stay, but they never once woke us up early by working. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future.

I stayed a week late March in this hotel, staff at the reception very helpful, cons for the room it was not ideal.
An air conditioning that makes a lot of noise, impossible to open the window because too much noise, not even a chair in the room!
I'm sorry, but I'm not advising this hotel.

Staff are very friendly. Location is good, beach is literally across the road, couple of (fairly expensive) restaraunts near by. Room is clean, view from balcony is amazing, hotel could do with refurbishment. Balcony could do with a light as well. Really enjoying my stay.

The location is next to the zoo and away from all of the crowds of Waikiki, yet within very close walking distance of everything. The rooms are relatively basic but are clean and comfortable which is all you can ask for at this price point. The staff has all been very courteous as well. Highly recommended hotel.

Location is great, right across from waikiki beach with great city and ocean views. Room is small but functional, very clean and the bed is amazingly soft. Service has been spectacular as the third party we booked the room through messed up and failed to tell the Park Shore about my reservation. The front desk attendant gave us a room until it was sorted out which was greatly appreciated!

Amazing location! Incredible views of the beach and diamond head. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value compared to some of the other big names on Waikiki Beach.

The location is perfect to enjoy the strip, diamondhead, beaches, zoo and a luau. Staff were amazingly nice. Rooms were clean and you get to use a beach to well everyday for free. Prices are pretty competitive for the strip, beachfront location. Stores and bus access make it very accessible. If you rent a car, park on the street and feed the meter at 7am for 2 hrs allowing you to drive off to explore the island.

Good location, it is not at the centre of waikiki which I liked that. Close to Dimond Head (must see). Clean room. They upgraded our room to partially ocean view but the window had the complete ocean view (nice). The staff were very nice. I enjoyed our stay, if we come back to waikiki we might stay here again.

At the far end of the strip, which made it easier to get in and out. Room was very nice, although kind of small. Service was great. The valets always had great suggestions for places to go and places to eat.

I am currently staying here with my wife and 18 month old in a standard room on the 5th floor. The location is a 10/10 (better than the other end where we stayed at The Modern and Ilikai) ; the staff and service is a 10/10 (we dealt with several and they're all really friendly). My only concern, that none of the other reviews I've read appear to highlight, is the absolutely loud humming noise from the neighbouring businesses. This building doesn't appear to have any noise reducing features. It is similar to the same humming noise you get on the plane (the latter expected and understandable). To make it worse, when you switch your own air conditioning on the room becomes a sound shell of a harmonising symphony of external and internal air conditioning units. Additionally, another kid was crying in one of the rooms down the hall, I could hear him crying from our room, in the hallway, and in the lift as it started to descend. The cry wasnt a screaming but it goes to show how noisey this place can get if your not in an ocean/diamond room on one of the higher the levels, the latter they offered to us for an extra $50 per night. Overall, if you like your sleep, and your unable to enjoy a sleep on a plane, I would recommend spending a bit more for a ocean/diamond head view room on one of the higher floors. Overall I give this place a 4.5/10 and liken it to a 2 star borderline 3 star hotel. You pay for what you get and little bit less.

Stayed Jul 17 — Jul 25. If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean place on the beach this is the place. My husband and I stayed for 8 nights in a standard room on the 16th floor. We had a partial view of the ocean which was wonderful. The staff was excellent! Michelle at the front desk conviced me to switch and save. Look into that! We got a great rate by doing this. Michelle and Leny thank you for all your help and for making my vacation memorable! The hotel is in a good location at the end of busy waikiki and quiet. We walked from the hotel to Diamond head 2.5 miles from the hotel to the top of Diamond Head. The shuttle takes you to the mall and to other locations in waikiki. They also have an in house car rental which was awesome for us because we did not need it for the entire stay. The Wi-Fi is free! We were looking for a nice place too stay but inexpensive and we found it. The also have suites which are nice and big if you want more space. People say thr pool is small but there is never anyone in it so you have it to yourself. No complaints from me. My husband and I stayed at the pool the entire day and had no issues. Everyone is at the beach. This is the hotel for those who want to explore hawaii and are looking for a standard room. Pictures on the website are exactly what you get. We had a wonderful time ecploring Oahu and paid little for our hotel. It does not have more than 1 restaurant in it but it is literally 100 restaurants on the strip so who cares. Enjoy!

Hotels location is great for Waikiki. Just across from Queens Beach and the views are amazing of Diamond head and the ocean. Rooms are average/solid 3*. This place is all about the view, the value and the location! Nothing extravagant. Good sushi place in lobby and Lulus restaurant is supposed to be good but I didn't try.

I'd there was a 4.5 it would get it. Employees and service were great. Location was perfect, ocean view room and a great view of diamond head and the beach. Also an easy cross to get to the beach without walking thru a hotel. A short walk to the shopping/commercial area of waikiki and a short walk to local eateries on the way to Diamond Head. Only gripe I have is no microwave or ice machine in the room or on our floor. Maybe they should add a mini bar by the pool or manager special more often. However, there is Lulu's and Tikis that offer terrace seating with food and drinks.

Friendly staff and great valet service, but the bathrooms have no vents, so expect a sauna. The Wi-Fi is running at right around dial-up speeds for me. The old, slow, elevators are an annoyance at best, and I wish the pool didn't close at sunset. The rooms are small but nice. Safe, super-mini fridge, coffee pot, blow dryer, nice flat screen tv. All the basics are covered here. The beds could be more comfortable though. The lobby offers free coffee and juice during the day, and has a small convenience store attached. Great food options right in front of the hotel as well. I would stay here again if it was a lowball deal.

Solid hotel experience overall. Reasonable price. Room was well equipped (safe, mini-fridge, etc). Nice, helpful staff. Liked the free beach amenities. The key to open the door didn't work too well and the showerhead was low for me (I'm 5'11), but no big deals.

Perfect stayed 10 days view of beach was awesome easy access to lulus bar and grill Starbucks just outside main door abc store inside valet was a+++ Consear service was a+++ just wish would have set up for them to pick up and take back to airport my bad thanks to all especially Arial.

Loved our room on the 14th floor with great view of Diamond Head and beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the Valet parking.

I had a wonderful time at staying at the Park Shore Hotel. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the views from the room were stunning. We stayed on the 17th floor with a view of the park and ocean. I love that it's not in the middle of Waikiki and away from some of the hustle and bustle but still close enough to walk to any Waikiki location. The hotel is right next to the beach and has a really awesome Japanese restaurant right off the lobby. The room was little on the small side but very clean and comfortable.
