Only room I’ve every been in that is smaller, was on a cruise ship. I expected more for $300+ per night.

Aside from a small hiccup that was quickly rectified, everything has been perfect. The cooked breakfast and all staff members have been nothing short of amazing. Hotel is in perfect location and on the slightly more affordable side. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I really enjoy our stay in this hotel the staff are ver friendly and helpful plus the room it’s really clean every day very nice we’ll back again.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach recently. We were welcomed by very helpful and friendly staff that made our entire stay a delight. Our room was spacious and clean and the staff were extremely accommodating. The staff were constantly making sure that we were comfortable and they went out of their way for us. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and it pleased even our pickiest eater. Every morning there were different options that were hearty and nutritious.

We stayed here a few weeks ago. The location is great. Our stay was very pleasant. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Joy at the front desk, she is great. The only downside: the elevator is very slow.

Wonderful place to stay, close to shops right out the front door. Got some beach chairs from the front desk. Walked across the street almost to the beach and sat there and enjoyed the weather. Just make sure you bring some sunblock.

The staff was very friendly. Hot and cold breakfast outdoors every morning are part of the mandatory $29 night hotel fee, but well worth it. They also give a $5/day credit that can be used in the lobby for pastries, limited Starbucks brewed beverages bottled drinks, or at the bar. Beach chairs and boogie boards can be borrowed for the day too, so don't waste your money renting at the beach. 2 bottles of water and a tote bag, filtered water stations, and coffee in the lobby for most of the day are included too.

Our housekeeper Venette @ 1239 was very sweet & would help keep us comfortable in any way. My wife Judy had recieved a Kidney Transplant a little over a year ago and mentioned it upon arrival & the room was perfect & clean! We definitely enjoyed our stay. And both the Hawaiian Islands … Thankyou so much for the caring extras also … Bob & Judy.

Been living next to your hotel for a few years now and all I gotta say is your VALET BOY are the most DISRESPECTFUL people to the apartment building next to you guys from speeding the customer rental car down the road to wen they gotta go park the car are you guys waiting FOR THEM TO GET IN TO ACCIDENT IT AND EVERYDAY THING and to them beeping the horns on the keys to find the car and when they do beep it they beep like no tomorrow like really? YOU GUYS NEED TO REALLY NEED TO TEACH THEM HOW TO BE RESPECTFUL AND NOT TO SPEED!

Locked out of our room at 10:00 PM with sleeping 1 and 3 year olds! We checked into our room at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Sunday afternoon (3/7/21) for a 7-night stay without any issues and thought the staff was pretty friendly. Fast forward to today (Friday 3/12/21), we were on the other side of the island attending a luau when I received a text asking me to check in with the front desk to “update the reservation” before we go to our room when we return. I called the hotel to make sure there wasn’t an issue and was told there wasn’t a problem but to check in when we returned. My husband and I returned to the hotel at 10:00PM with our sleeping children and got in line to speak to someone at the front desk. When it was our turn, a man in a uniform (I think he was a pilot) walked ahead of us to check in and the front desk clerk let him. When I went to say we would check back about the issue tomorrow morning, I was told to wait. The front desk attendant informed us that there wasn’t a credit card on file even though they scanned my credit card when we originally checked in 5 days earlier. No big deal, my husband gave her his card and we thought that was it. We start to walk away and the front desk manager tells us she has to SEND SOMEONE TO UNLOCK OUR ROOM! THE ROOM CONTAINING OUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS! I was immediately upset and questioned her. She responded that it was a “friendly reminder” to check in with them. She said they had been trying to reach us.

Self parking and valet was always full so we had to park at the garage across the street. The garage cost $30 per 24 hours and they only accept cash. Thankfully the Hyatt was willing to reimburse us for the parking fee and the ATM fee since we had to withdraw cash. We also got a free room upgrade since they had sold out of the rooms we bought. The room is super nice and the beds are amazingly comfy. We really enjoyed breakfast by the pool, but I wish there was inside seating since it was raining on us while we were trying to eat. The hotel is only a few blocks from Waikiki Beach and shopping.

Overall a pretty good hotel. Close to Waikiki beach and the stores along there, also Honolulu Zoo and the aquarium. Rooms were clean. Service was pretty good; some very friendly staff, some average. Breakfast includes eggs, toast, assorted fruit, with almost all days having sausage or bacon. We had a room with 1 king-size bed and 1 sofa-bed. Sofa-bed is your typical sofa bed not as comfortable as regular hotel beds, but each bed came with its own TV. They have a somewhat scammy mandatory $15/day destination fee, that gives you $5/day credit for hotel snacks, and unlimited local calls. The cheapest parking we found was kitty-corner from the hotel, for Waikiki Banyan. It was $30/day or $110/week, and note it was cash only. We happened to stay during a potential hurricane, where many stores and shops shut down for 2 days. The hotel handled it pretty well, they still provided full breakfast but minimal room service unless requested. When you check out (was 11am) they let you leave your luggage secure at the front, if you have a late flight and want to walk around for a while without carrying it.

Friendly service, amazing view, and good breakfast. Stayed on the higher floor with the ocean side view. The beach is also a short walk as well. Definitely a nice place to stay. And I tell myself that I will stay here again when I have a chance to revisit Honolulu again …

DO NOT STAY HERE! I have stayed at Hyatt hotels all over, I actually stayed at this hotel on my reward points because I use their hotels so much! I will never stay at a Hyatt again. I left $300 in the room safe and it was stolen by housekeeping. The housekeeper originally said she opened the safe and it was empty. Management said they would send an Engineer to check the integrity of the safe. They never gave me those results but sent me to their insurance company. I had to go through this entire process, filing a police report, following up only for the insurance company to turn down my claim because the Hyatt had changed their story saying the safe was locked and they sent an Engineer and it was empty. I am so incredibly disappointed with this company!

NOT right on the beach, but nice. About a block away from the beach. Very clean and secure. You need a room key to make the elevator work. Great service and kind staff. Delicious breakfast with large variety. The pool area is quite small and surrounded with blank walls with no good view. The concierge was great and helped us easily book two tours for the island. There is a Domino's Pizza downstairs attached to the hotel, but if they won't deliver directly to your room. You have to go downstairs and pick it up.

Nice, clean hotel. It was quiet at night. Staff were very helpful. The room was on the small side but very nice. Guests can park overbigbt for an extra charge. Breakfast was included and there was lots of food.

Decent experience overall. Be aware that guest parking is not included! There is only valet parking for a whopping $35 per day. Alternatively, you can use the public parking garage across the street for $20 per day or $80 for a whole week. We used the garage just fine, but it was an unexpected cost and inconvenience. We upgraded to a room on a higher floor which was nice, but there was tons of noise from outside as there was construction as well as people on the steet screaming and yelling at each other every night. Kind of ruins the ambience of an island vacation. Breakfast is included in your stay but it is quite poor. We went with this option on most mornings to save money, but I recommend going out for brunch if you can. Some pluses were the free beach towels for use every day, and the rooms were generally decent and clean.

This hotel is definitely one of the most beautiful hotels I've had the pleasure of staying. The customer service is above and beyond exceptional. A little pricey, but definitely worth it. The amenities are amazing and I recommend this hotel if you were to stay in the Waikiki area for sure. My favorite part is my fur baby (dog) was welcomed! Automatic 5 stars in my eyes. Aloha.

We are one block off the Waikiki Beach and were fortunate enough to get a room with a view of the beach & ocean. Rooms are fantastic and represents great value for money. Staff have been very helpful and even the maintenance crew have been super. Highly recommend that you consider this place.

The only complaint I have would have been the water saving shower head. Hardly enough water coming through to rinse the shampoo from your hair. Servicing of the room each day was spot on and reception staff were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you.

Great location, not to close to all the hustle and noise next to the beach but walking distance to everything. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Rooms are clean, large, and well kept. Biggest complaint thus far is housekeeping hasn't come until late afternoon/evening when we've been gone most of the day which is minor. Breakfast is great. Would recommend and stay again.

As a category 3 property, the Hyatt Place Waikiki is the most affordable Hyatt property available in Waikiki. As you can see from the attached photo (my view of the Ocean) the Hyatt property is about a block or so from the Ocean and the main strip Kalakaua Avenue. However, I feel for the price, the Hyatt Place Waikiki is a good value. The rooms are clean, updated, and relatively large for the price that you pay. The bed was very soft and extremely comfortable. I do however, prefer firm beds so, it was a bit too soft for my liking. But, I'm sure there are many people on the opposite end of the spectrum who will love the bed. My wife and I partook of the free breakfast buffet, and I liked the selection available. I will be staying at this hotel again in the upcoming month for an activity in the Waikiki area. Given the balance of price, room quality, and decent location, this is a hotel I could stay at regularly when I have business in Waikiki.

Nice hotel located just above Waikiki Beach. The beach and the popular shopping street are only a few metres away. Parking is also possible in a nearby car park. All in all we were satisfied there.

Room is spacious and great. Hot breakfast is very good. Pool is small but ok… on the 3rd floor. Location is great as it is 2 blocks to Waikiki beach. I couldn't give 5 star because the front desk is very slow. When checking in there were 5 staff and only 1 was checking folks in. Every stop at the desk during my stay was slow, but when I got up to the desk, the staff was nice. I had a late flight so I was able to use a hospitality suite to shower and change after going to the beach.

Staff is very friendly. Customer service was fabulous. Surprised by the free breakfast. Pineapple is delicious. Pool could be a little bit more impressive. Room was top notch. Take the stairs because elevators go very slow and a lot of people are using the only two for the entire hotel.

Rooms sufficient in size, comfort, balcony, fridge. Bathroom light tied to sink/ mirror area despite. No door between sink/mirror and sleeping area, so must illuminate area where partner is still sleeping. Also need an extra valet during busy times, someone who can flex into another role since busy times are variable. But I had multiple days waiting 30m for the car. That's too long for cost of the service. Finally, no self — serve breakfast for working folks or other early risers up before 6. For vacationers, good location on diamond head side of Waikiki. A bit isolated from best Waikiki sand, And harder to get towards downtown or pearl harbor, and routes to kailua or north shore. But barely.

The rooms are a bit small, but for the price and closeness to the beach (3 min walk) it's alright. The bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping staff was very good and friendly. If you have a car you have to pay for the valet parking ($35/day), but they got our car pretty fast for us each time. The free breakfast was also really good. Different items each day. You can also order a few things from there restaurant all night long.

The hotel is well located. The rooms are clean. The breakfast very poor with no variation. The service is good.

It is definitely not the flashiest hotel in Waikiki but they more than make up for it in other areas. Got there at 8am after long flight from Sydney Australia, the upgraded us for a small fee and had our room ready straight away. Even allowed us to have free breakfast that morning we arrived. Rooms are quite spacious for 5 people. They also give you option to go green which means maid does not do full room daily but just replaces towels and gives you a $10 credit each day to spend on room services or other purchases.

Less than five minutes to the beach and close to a lot of the main attractions. Building is a little older but they did a good job modernizing it. Breakfast buffet included.

The staff are all great, they were very helpful speacaily for this first timer, and they truly want their guests to enjoy their visit to the Islands. Very Very clean. P. S. I would have given 5 across the board if it wasn't for the damn TV placement on the wall, what were you thinking putting it along side of the bed, specially in a room with two double beds. We (3) of us all have stiff necks. Now that I'm done writing this, I am looking for a good day spa.

I stayed here for a week and the service was very good. The hotel is very clean and the free breakfast every morning is very good. It was my birthday so they gave me free beer! I recommend it a lot!

Location was great. Felt like I was able to travel outside the hotel with ease. The ocean side view on the Ewa tower was phenomenal. Close to the beach, which was great. Had a blast. Would come to this hotel again.

Stayed here for a day only to catch our plane home the next day. This hotel is in a great location. A few blocks walk to the beach and the shopping centers. Could have stayed a few more days here. Good value for money.

My husband and I spent 10 days at the Hyatt Place Waikiki from Sept 6-16, 2017. We were very pleased with the location; the friendliness of the staff in particular Lei at the front desk who went beyond to ensure our stay was perfect from the first to the last day; the helpful Ben, agent at the Tour desk who was always there to assist us with our activities. We also enjoyed the daily breakfast which offered a variety of dishes. Overall, a nice place to stay and enjoy Waikiki. Aloha, Mahalo!

The place is really clean and it's a great place to go. Really close to the beach. Only problem was the safe had some issues which we had to call twice about because the engineer fixed it the first time but it malfunctioned again which required us to call a second time. He was able to permanently fix it the second time but it took some time out of our day waiting for it to be fixed. But other than that everything was great. Update — so our safe in our room kept getting issues after I wrote this review so now I'm updating it. It happened 2 more times after writing this review. Extremely irritating that it kept having issues and we had to wait for the engineer to come and fix it. That's no way to spend a vacation waiting for someone to come fix something that shouldn't have an issue. Even when we told the front desk that this has happened multiple times they didn't ask us if we would like to change rooms we had to ask for a room change. Also during the room change I lost all my spare contact lenses I brought. Don't think I'm going to recommend this place to anyone.

Nice hotel. Very close to the beach (as expected). Our rooms were fairly clean, but the bathroom area was kind of miniature. Breakfast was as nice as you would expect it, fair amount of options. I would recommend if you're staying in Hawaii for a short period of time.

We stayed here for one night and had a good experience. The service was wonderful and made several accommodations for us, including sending a bottle of champagne since it was our honeymoon. The room itself was comfortable. Our only complaints were a somewhat weak air conditioning unit and fairly small room. We had a partial ocean view, which was nice considering the hotel is a couple blocks from the water. We could hear the waves from our balcony early in the morning before the din got too loud. Overall we rate it good but not exceptional. We would consider staying here again during future visits.

Wonderful hotel. Great location 2 blocks away from the beach yet quiet enough for some good sleep. Free breakfast is great for the price. Very busy during breakfast times but the speed of food refills was impressive. Rooms are super clean. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This is probably the best hotel ever. Let me tell you the story. So I woke up and my husband said, "This hotel is GREAT! I really had fun easing it in, reeeaaaalllll slow. " So I replied with, "Yeah, it WAS fun putting it in there! " I said. "Isn't it great having a penis and a vagina. " Hours later someone walked into the room and said quite down and he turned the corner and saw us humping and he wanted to join in so he did it was really fun his name was Roy he did it really good. ;) You may or may not find condoms (used) in room 114 ;)

Close to the Honolulu Zoo. A bus stop just outside the entrance makes for convenience if going somewhere in Honolulu. Room had great view (19th floor) but was a tad bit small. Very close to the beach which was great for my morning runs. The room was very comfortable and all the hotel employees were very nice and friendly. Great stay!

Room was nice. Good location near Waikiki Beach. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but they have a fairly large selection, which is nice. Bathroom was a little cramped, and two elevators for a 20-story tower led to some crowds in the lobby waiting for them. But otherwise no complaints.

Great location, one minute from the beach and right in the heart of all the shopping. Breakfast is decent and comparable to other free style complimentary buffets. Cons: terrible lighting in the bathroom-it mattered to me as I was in Waikiki to get married. Also the AC cannot be turned down to be below 68. Here's the catch-68 feels really cold typically but in Hawaii when it was humid we had it at 68 all day long and the room felt more like 74. I am usually cold and never complain about being too hot but it was difficult to sleep! The AC Units are old and small maybe that's the reason why they don't allow you to turn down the temp. This is honestly the biggest downside.

9th floor cozy ocean-view room with King bed in the diamond head tower that is partially obscured by other buildings, 10th floor and above might be better. The breakfast was varied each day and had good selection, better than some other "breakfast included" but not the best. Amenities included were nice and hotel staff were always helpful. Texting service for quick answers was great and very helpful. 3 minute walk to the ocean/beach and short walking distance to a large number of eateries. Recent renovation makes it seem nicer once you are inside. The 3 elevators on the diamond head tower meant very little wait time for the elevator, I heard grumblings about wait times for the other tower. Overall, comfy place to stay but I probably wouldn't opt for the premium for the "ocean-view" room next time.

The Good: Free Breakfast, free Wi-Fi (speedy too! ), nice bed, blankets are good. Easy hook up to TV. Clean, well maintained rooms. Honestly though, we never got up in time for breakfast and the rooms are a bit "older" than the Hilton a block away. In the future, I'd probably stay at the Hilton instead.

My husband and I came to Hawaii to celebrate our belated 8th year anniversary. I read several reviews from different sites and was a little skeptical about staying here. Well I have to say we throughly enjoyed our stay. I have a mention a few of the memorable hotel staff. Lovely, our housekeeper was super nice and did an impeccable job cleaning our room. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and attentive to our every needs. I lost a photo my husband and I had taken at our dinner the past evening. While in the libby today, one of the staff noticed me from our photo and returned it to me. That definitely made my day! I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Hawaii!

Fantastic! Rooms were detailed to match the feel of Hawaii. The morninf breakfest on the pool dexk was amazing. And best part, a 3 min walk to the beach.

Arrived for a work trip. Booked and confirmed room. Upon arrival I was told there were no rooms available and I was taken to Queen Kapiolani Hotel. Might be able to stay in the room that was paid for tomorrow night. Might. Gentleman that walked me to my new room was nice though.

Clean and nice but our room was very small. I think we got the basic king size room because I'm on government business. Staff was very friendly. I thought for the area the rooms would be larger. A bit disappointed being that it is the Hyatt. Valet parking was pricey $30 per day and the only other parking available is $20 per day.

Breakfast is served at 6:30 and it was better than most hotels that I have eaten at. The beach is just a short walk away. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel for the money. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi. Very friendly staff and the guys at the concierge desk were very helpful in booking tours that were great.

I stayed for 8 days in Feb 2015 with my daughter at Hyatt Place. It was my very first experience in Hawaii. I was so absolutely pleased with this hotel. The breakfast in the morning always had a different and delicious main dish. There were so many options and everything was so delicious and plentiful that I never tired of the breakfast. It was a great way to start the day. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable and I slept very well. The rooms were cleaned very well and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I purchased items from both of the gifts shops in the lobby (after pricing items at other stores — I found the prices to be very reasonable). The lobby was so comfortable, clean and large to lounge around in and read or just people watch. The valets were so friendly and full of information. Even when they were swamped they always went out of their way to smile and acknowledge you. It is a fantastic location. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Waikiki. My first Hawaiian experience was everything I imagined and more.

This hotel has a staff that is over the top in pleasing their customers. We had great service from the Assistant General Manager through the lady on the 18th floor who took care of the rooms. We visit here yearly in October and would not think of going anywhere else. The breakfast is of course an extra that in itself has extra value in that you don't have to venture down the beach for fresh pineapple and daily breakfast entrees that would probably cost $10 per person anywhere else. The rooms as stated are very adequate in size and are always clean. The staff is always available for questions and will help you until they know they have solved your issue. The only issue we had was that the concierge (a male on this particular day) seemed a bit put off that I bothered him from his computer to ask a question regarding a bus question. I noticed even when helping other customers he seemed bothered that he had to do his job.

1 star off for the super slow elevator, otherwise it's a great place to stay: free breakfast and Wi-Fi, a view of the beach, a desk in the room who needs a quick catch up on work, comfortable and spacious room with a 3 seater couch to coffee table.

My daughter, 11 month old grandson and I stayed at the hotel for 5 weeks for military reasons. The hotel staff was excellent and they went above and beyond what is typical for a hotel. First impressions are huge, especially since they upgraded our room for free. They catered to our every beck and call. With a fridge in the room but no microwave, they were always willing and happy to warm up food for us. They provided a crib and a high chair for the room at no extra charge. The free breakfasts along with the large variety of food and the fresh fruit were very good. The breakfast staff always went out of their way to assist my grandson and I however they could. The front desk gave us a little sand bucket with toys so my grandson could enjoy the beach. He loved it and it was just his size. When we needed something extra from the hotel staff, they were delivering it within a few minutes. I have never been to a hotel that has been so friendly and had so many 'servant' hearts to serve others. Keep up the great work. We were on the 14th floor so we didn't have any issues with 'street noise' other than the normal hum of the traffic. There were only 2 elevators in our tower, which at times got very busy. Thankfully I didn't have deadlines to meet so the elevator situation for me didn't matter. My daughter's work schedule only had her encountering slow elevators at times when she would return from work. I give this Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach hotel 5 stars.

Nice and clean. Great location. Free breakfast (and it's a full spread. It's nice). Free Wi-Fi in all locations of hotel including the room which is nice. Couple cons, parking is pricy, elevators are slow (5-10 mins wait sometimes) and not much for on site services.
