Came over from Kauai for a 3 day stay and as always friendly courteous staff clean disinfected room. Highly recommend if you want to be in walking distance of the hustle and bustle.

We really like this hotel walking distance from the shops in Waikiki. The hotel staff is very welcoming and they go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Our suite had a kitchen, it was nice and clean. Beautiful ocean views from our balcony. We will definitely stay here again.

Love this place! You don’t even need a vehicle because everything is so close. The unit we are staying in is so clean and ver comfortable. It’s privately owned so I’m not sure what other units have to offer. This place has fantastic views.

Our experience sucked. The staff was horrible. The elevators were broken. My mom got hurt and they acted like it was her fault when they didn’t even have signs saying they were doing construction in the elevators. The only thing cool about this hotel was the valet. Other than that the staff treated us horrible. That 4.9 needs to be dropped to a. 9 because when we stayed there it was the worst thing. Matter fact the day we checked in they acted like we didn’t have a reservation and they are the ones that got the name wrong on the account. A bunch of amateurs.

I love this place! The staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodated all of our “needs” lol the only down side is that the pool closes at sunset because they have no lights. Location is nice, amazing view. Will stay here again. Bonus points for smoking area!

Reasonably priced hotel at the very end of Waikiki. Clean rooms that are reasonably sized. Staff is friendly. Convenient location. Definitely would stay here again over the more expensive hotels just a few steps away.

This was my first visit to Hawaii and this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the downtown area near plenty of retail stores and restaurants. Hotel offers towels for the beach and beach chairs. They also give you a rental card for two free DVD movies. Breakfast cafe is small and is open only from 7am to 2pm. I did receive two $10.00 vouchers to use for breakfast during my stay. I found this hotel thru my AAA Hawaiian tour book. It has a three diamond rating and the price is reasonable.

Pretty nice hotel. Happy hour 3 times a week with live music. Has accommodations for long vacations, ie washing machine. Not super happy they never cleaned the floors in the hotel room. After a week they were covered in sand from the beach and mud from hiking.

We've had an awesome time at the hotel. The view is amazing! Hotel staff is great! They have awesome amenities like free Wi-Fi and bikes! The room price is reasonable for the area. I found it odd that we had to pay for the entire room when we got to the hotel as opposed to a $500 deposit and paying the rest at the end.

Some previous reviews made me nervous, but we have had a great experience staying 2 weeks total. Every inch of the hotel and staff have been impeccable. You absolutely can not beat the location. If you are staying long term with a car or are military I would suggest getting a monthly pass from the Hale Koa parking garage which gives you access to the garage and parking lot directly behind the hotel.

Great service and good food. Pool was okay but has lounge chairs to relax. Overall I would say this is a good hotel and won't disappoint for the price.

It's okay. Beware of hidden charges and obnoxious parking lot fees. $35 a night! Also pool closes at sunset. Nice employees.

Hotel presentation is acceptable for the price. A few issues getting the configuration we expected. Moved rooms second day after a bit of confusion on timing. Service is acceptable but certainly not noteworthy or memorable. Unlikely to return or recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Luana. From the moment we walked in the hotel was so gorgeous. The room was spacious and clean. With really nice views of both the ocean and the main strip. The staff, especially Chet the valet, were so helpful and friendly. The free rentals such as the bikes, the chairs and the beachtowels made our stay very special. With the bikes we could travel all around Waikiki very easily. There are also beach mats to rent which we didn’t know about but were available if you ask the concierge. All in all a wonderful hotel for our stay in Waikiki!

Stayed one night and ended up cancelling the rest of our stay. Our room was tiny to the point we had to lay our suitcase open on the tiny table. Couldn’t shower due to temperature constantly going up/down (our son got burnt! ) The bed was rock-hard (as were the pillows) with massive stains on the bedding… To top it off — terrible service from the rude, unhelpful reception staff who were not interested whatsoever in solving any of these problems or assisting us. Bellhop, restaurant and house-keeping staff were lovely, to their credit. We were expecting so much more from a hotel with such good reviews. So glad we upgraded to the Hilton Village and can now enjoy our holiday. Never again! beware.

Hotel is conveniently located to lots of restaurants and shopping. Everything within walking distance. Finding the hotel entrance was tricky. Drove right passed it. Mandatory valet parking. This was note stated on the hotel website. The room was great. Got a suite that had a tiny kitchenette. The breakfast place wasn't open until 0700. This was way to late for me. Due to Hawaii traffic, I had to be on the road by 0600 so never got to take advantage of breakfast. The places closed by 1400. So couldn't do dinner there either.

Lobby is very spacious and clean, friendly staff, rooms were clean and had no strange smells. Only complaint was the water pressure was very poor. Overall a great experience! Just be prepared for the $35/night wallet fee.

Pleasant place. The location is great. It is not beachfront but is only a short walk to the beach (5 minutes if you have long legs). Away from the crowd and the business of Waikiki Tourist Central. You also get $10 credit for length of stay to Fish Hook Cafe which has the best rice bowls.

We had a wonderful week long stay, beautiful hotel accommodations, lots of great amenities including a pool and fitness room, beach towels, beach chairs, bike use, dvd rentals, wine and cheese social hours and I loved breakfast from the cafe attached to hotel. Our room was clean and had a nice kitchenette with lots of cupboard and drawer space. It is in a great location close to high end shopping and restaurants and the walk to the beach is only a few blocks. The only thing I would have changed would have been the location of our room, we faced the busy street and sirens and traffic noises were somewhat bothersome during the sleeping hours. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!

The room was neater, cleaner, and bigger than I expected! Every staff especially ones at the door was really sweet. Only the front desk woman who worked at night was rude. We dropped a camera out of the window by accident, but she didn't want to help us and didn't allow us to find it. In the morning, the staff changed and helped us so we found it. Everything was perfect except for her.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and even standard rooms include extra items like plates, cutlery and a toaster. The hotel is a little bit older but has been renovated very nicely. When we checked in, our air conditioner wasn't working and they replaced the air conditioner unit with a new one in half an hour. Also, the location is excellent!

It's a nice hotel. They have a DVD rental stand which is included in the stay. The vouchers you get for the restaurant are great. Definitely don't spend your money on the buffet breakfast get the food from the cafe instead. The pool says it is heated, it is not. It's nice when the sun is out and it's super hot, but otherwise it's pretty cold. The ocean is warmer then the pool. The kitchens are a nice thing. If you are there for a long time or are there with a family it would be a good choice. They only down side of this hotel is the added resort fee. I am not blaming this hotel only for doing it. All the Waikiki hotels seem to do it and they are exceedingly annoying.

We loved our 8 night stay at Luana — excellent service, loved our suite with king size bed, large bathroom, full kitchen, 2 balconies — everything we needed for a family of 4. Having a laundry handy was perfect for us and we really enjoyed the Managers wine and beer reception 3 times a week. We slept really well and loved the ocean and park views. Great location close to everything. Plenty of towels etc and whenever we asked for anything it was with us within minutes. Would definitely stay again.

Smaller than a lot of the other hotels, positioned close to beach and shopping drag. Casual, homely sort of feel and the staff are really friendly and very efficient. Check-in was very accommodating. Minor quibbles with our room safe and the plumbing were fixed quickly and without a fuss. Breakfast buffet is casual and cheap. Pool could open a bit earlier than 9 but all in all a really nice place.

I got a chance to meet 3 people at the front desk. Chastity, Jessica, and Alexis were extraordinarily kind. And Jesse and Austin the valet guys make you feel so welcome. Really nice place.

It's only my first night here, but I am very impressed with the room and its extras! There's an unexpected pair of body boards and snorkels in the closet. There was a rainstorm today, and there was an umbrella in the closet too! The Wi-Fi is actually quite fast compared to a lot of hotels. So far, I'm fairly impressed with this hotel room.

We've only been here two nights of a week-long stay but so far everything has been great. Staff is friendly and accommodating, location is easily accessible, rooms are nice, and service has been great. If things continue to go this well I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay on this island.

Excellent stay at a reasonable price for the area. I highly recommend this place. They also have an amazing cafe near the lobby (Fish Hook Cafe) which has some great food. The only downside is the valet parking fee, but it still gets 5 stars in my book.

Nice hotel and good location. We reserved a room with two beds and an ocean view. When we checked in, they gave us a street view room on the second floor. While the room was nice, there was a lot of street noise, especially from the scooter rentals next door. When we spoke to the front desk, they were confrontational and insisted it was an upgrade. We booked months in advance and checked in early, so we were pretty shocked the room we paid to upgrade to was unavailable. The staff made no attempt to even empathize with us. Not the experience we were expecting, or looking forward to all year.

I thought this place rated about like a La Quinta. I don't see how Expedia has it ranked as a 4.5. Our TV didn't work until someone finally came to fix it… One ice machine on the first floor of a 14 floor hotel… They force you to use valet parking, and each night you park there costs you $30.00… This is not a place I would stay at again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Great Place to stay in Honolulu near Wakiki Beach. Has very nice Kitchenette which is very convenient. Centrally located, you can walk almost everywhere you need to go. Only had to use rental car a couple of times. Nice laid back atmosphere not crazy busy like the bigger resorts. Has a great pool, workout area and you can ride their bikes for free. Would highly recommend staying here. Would definitely come back.

Do not stay at this hotel! Worst experience of my life! Went to the bathroom in the morning and had a cockroach crawling on my leg! I called the front desk and asked for someone to take care of it and after about a half hour I had to call again because he never showed up. When he finally came he took care of it and then an hour or so later when I went in the bathroom again there was one crawling on the wall. I called the front desk and expressed my dissatisfaction with which she replied "With the humidity it's a common occurrence. " She was so unprofessional about it when I was clearly upset. The guy came in once more and sprayed the bathroom and before we left we found one more in the kitchen. When we checked out and requested some kind of compensation they waived a 29 dollar hidden amenity fee that had been added to our room. No apology was given either.

Lovely boutique hotel with lots of amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. The building is newly renovated. It's very modern with a classic Hawaiian feel and decor. The yoga classes and wine tastings are super fun and classy. The pool is dreamy. They have a cafe and breakfast daily. The location is prime, on fort derussy park minutes walk to beautiful beach!

Great service with lots of freebies. We were visiting home (HI) from (AZ), and decided to stay at the Luana. They're entire staff is very friendly, and ready to serve their guests. They also have free DVD's, bikes, etc. Just need to ask. Overall it was a great place to stay. I'd certainly stay there again.

Staff friendly and very willing to offer tourist advice. Staff can book tours for you which I highly recommend as part of your holiday. Were in process of opening new restaurant and snack shop. New elevators. Parking available, pool, gym, self serve laundry and ice machines. Not on beach but overlook a beautiful park and can see the ocean from 10th floor. 5 min walk to beach and high end stores. Great location for a cheaper rate. Worth it!

Price performance is right. Otherwise the hotel is not particularly spectacular. You can reach Waikiki Beach in about 10 minutes by foot.

The Luana Waikiki is located within walking distance to a bunch of great restaurants, stores, and beaches. And you can board a shuttle from the hotel which will take you to other parts of Waikiki, including the Ala Moana shopping centre. The hotel also offers you a free shuttle pass for the duration of your stay! And make sure you check out the activities booklet at the front desk which is loaded with fun things to do. You can book those activities at the front desk as well. Overall, Luana is a great place to stay with a lot of convenient services.

The hotel was doing some updates and remodels while we were there, but it didn't affect our stay and they were all done quickly and quietly. We had a light go out in our room, and maintenance was there within 10 min of calling the front desk. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. I was very impressed by the hotel! The outdoor pool and BBQ area was fun, as was the park next door. I would love to stay here again!

Our family stayed in March/April and our stay was very enjoyable. We have been to Hawaii 3 other times so have experienced various hotels. The ocean view one bedroom was spacious and offered a full kitchen as we were in the room for 15 days. I would recommend this facility as we found all aspects fabulous, although I'm sure someone from housekeeping stole my Keratase Haircare.

Very nice Hotel. Centrally located. Good Service. A nice room with a view of the canal and the mountains — a beautiful view. Downside: road noise vs. Outlook… We took the noise in stride and enjoy the view. In Addition, there are Valet Parking, and a relatively good Breakfast.

Room was modern, clean and very roomy with two queen size beds and a decent size lanai and bathroom. Room was on the 7th floor with a view of the surrounding cityscape. I only stayed one night, had an early morning meeting in Waikiki, so I didn't get a chance to utilize any of their services, but I can say that the staff was pleasant upon check-in and check-out.

Can we talk about how friendly the staff is? One of the more courteous hotel staff I have ever encountered. Our room was nice, clean, and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location is excellent. You have a couple blocks to walk to Waikiki Beach and you are surrounded by great shopping and restaurants. They have beach towels that you can check out so you don't have to worry about packing your own. Breakfast was free, but nothing special. I recommend going out for breakfast anyway. The one thing I wasn't 100% in love with was the valet parking. It's $30 a day, but I understood why once I arrived in Hawaii… Traffic is a nightmare and there is virtually no parking. I totally get it now! I loved my stay here and I wish we didn't have to leave. Thanks Aqua Oasis!

Valet parking excellent. Rooms nice but could be just a little more spacious. Clean and quiet. Breakfast delicious and fresh. Nice staff. Location alright close to shops restaurants and even the beach doesn't take too long.

Really nice inside. Air conditioner didn't cool down the room much, but nice clean rooms at a good price. Free breakfast too.

The kitchenette, laundry facility and gym are enough to make my stay comfortable. I love the valets. These guys are so awesome, especi a lly James. He takes the time to greet me each and every morning when he brings up my car. The rocking chairs and waterfall in the front are mesmerizing.

Poor check-in experience, nasty resort fee and not the room that was booked. Hotel has a ok location and rooms are average but clean. The AC will keep you awake for sure. Elevators are beeing renovated, until then you'll wait an enternity before they arrive.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights during our trip to Hawaii. This hotel was very standard and mediocre. My wife was quite disappointed because she had picked this place due to the descriptions and pictures she saw advertised online of this hotel which turned out to be very deceptive and made it look much nicer than it really was. Other than that, the place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The elevator was a bit shaky and the pool was much smaller than we would've liked for some swimming at night. Plus the location isn't that great because it was a bit far from the shopping mall area. The staff was friendly and helpful. They held onto some of our luggage so we could travel with peace of mind as well.

As a frequent traveler, I always look for quality service and rooms. Waikiki is a very bustling place, and it can get overwhelming at times, but the hotel staff were very courteous and kind. The interior decorations are tasteful and room service is good. I very much enjoyed my stay and would definetly come back here again. It was convienient to walk to the beach, but the beach was a bit crowded as expected. You could hear people in other rooms which was a negative since some tourists stay up late at night, therefore the four star rating, not a five. Location waa good, lots of city buses pass through Waikiki.

Location is convenient, a short 10 minute walk to Waikiki. The rooms are clean and decent sized, well air conditioned. Parking is all valet, something to keep in mind if you get a rental car. There is a resort fee but definitely take advantage of the beach towels and chairs!

Nice place but seems a bit run down. If they could keep the elevators running I'd maybe give a higher rating… also no food or bar in the hotel at this point.

Loved the place. I'm from OZ. Been to waikiki 7 times now and its the best so far. Gr8 views. Gr8 park. 10 mins walk for shopping centre. 5 mins walk to the heart of waikiki. All the good restuarants are 1-5 mins walk. The service is excellent. Everyone went out of there way to help. Rooms are really good. I'm going to stay at the Luana from now on.

Luana Waikiki has, by far, the best location on Oahu. With the ability to be in the hubbub of waikiki or the quiet of a tropical paradise. Everything is at your fingertips. We couldn't be happier here, and stay here every year. The staff, location and pricing is unbeatable.

Our stay at Luana Waikiki was amazing! Gracious check in and checkout, as well as staff. Nice clean room with great housekeeping. Fully stocked kitchenette was a nice surprise. Great location to strip. Comfy bed and nice size room with plenty of closet and drawr space. Only complaint no jucuzzi and faucet and shower handles were odd to grip and turn. Free breakfast was convenient and amazing! Yes we would return!
