Hotel doesn't even deserve one star. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Went to Sanford NC to visit family. One of the reasons we chose the Baymont was because of the near location to our relatives. We arrived at the hotel around 10pm and was told that hotel was sold out. I asked the front desk to cancel my reservation and went searching for another hotel. The front desk clerk told me that I would not be charged. When I looked at my account the next day, my card was charged 81 dollars. I called the hotel three times because no one would answer the phone. I was then told that it was not a charge but just a pending charge that would be taken off after 24hrs. I looked at my card again today, and I was still charged for the room. I called the hotel and asked for a manager. I was given to a man that was very hard to understand his English. He told me that they weren't sold out and that I said I didn't like the room and that is why I was charged. I never saw the room! He refused to give me back my money, I had to call Expedia and have them get my money back. When I booked the room thru Expedia, I choose to pay the hotel directly, the manager should have given me my refund without me going thru Expedia. After talking to Expedia I am still waiting for my refund. I worked in hotels for years, if I wouldn't have answered the phone after three rings, talked to a guest like I was talked too, or refused to help a guest I would have been fired on the spot.

The room was shabby and didn’t smell fresh. Came back at night and room was roach infested. Manager would not give my refund gave me the run around on some bogus policy after finally talking to him five days later. Don’t be fooled by the pictures they post they are obviously from another hotel. My worse experience with a hotel ever. I did not stay there had to find other accommodations RUN RUN RUN.

Many issues… run down, dirty carpet, bath door sticks, cover off of smoke alarm, no iron, breakfast was horrible, very noisy at night, Wi-Fi and TV were horrible. Staff was friendly but not knowledgeable about TV or Wi-Fi to fix it. I won't stay here again and don't recommend it.

Because of horrible conditions at another hotel in Sanford we did not contact this hotel till after 12:30 AM. The guy was friendly and cut us a deal. The rooms are great and a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area! Thanks a million Baymont of Sanford!

This place is a dump. If I was not so tired I would leave. Carpet dirty, hole in bathroom door, door jam cracked on entry door, paint terrible and found two roaches on the floor. Behind the beds are filthy.

The location is good even though there's a gym very close to the left end that had traffic at all hours. The rooms are very dated. One of our beds didnt have the same blanket as the other bed and it wasnt anywhere else in the room. You get what you pay for, but I wouldn't recommend this place for more than a night.

The Baymont was pretty nice for the room price. Even though I didn't touch so much as my toes in the pool, because I never got the time to, the pool and patio are nice and very clean. The rooms are a bit on the small side but how much room do you really need at a hotel. Everyone was very plesent and the owner? /manager let us check-in a couple hours early.

Wow! This place sucks! We are moving, all of our stuff has already been picked up so we decided to stay at a decent hotel until we actually headed out of town. Everything was either missing or broken. The ac unit sounded like an air plane landing everytime it tried to turn on. Will never stay here again.

Rooms need improved … but the staff and location to good food made it a nice stay…

Worst hotel/motel ever. Front desk is rude, racist & sexist. Bedsheets were dirt, had stains & hair on them. Requested clean sheets, front desk manager told us they didn't have any. My brothers room door didn't lock, manager insinuated it was done by him. Was suppose to stay 6 nights, the next morning we checked out & drove an hour away from our destination just to have a NICE HOTEL. Do not stay here at all. I rather sleep in my car.

Made reservations, and was promised two rooms on the ground floor. My parents are senior citizens, and can't do the stairs anymore. When I got there, they said there were no downstairs rooms available. I asked to speak to the manager. He was upstairs. He told the girl at the front desk he was not coming down, and hung up. I then asked the front desk girl to call the owner. The owner commenced to tell me, they weren't going to do anything. I was just out of luck. Then they had the nerve to tell me I wasn't getting a refund, after I told them I would not be staying there. Not once did any of them say I'm sorry, or try in the slightest to accommodate us. This is the rudest, worst run business I've ever dealt with. I did get my money back, but had to contact someone with the Wyndham corporation to do so. Don't waste your time or money here.

Ok for a budget motel. Older but not too dirty. Within a few minutes drive of restaurants.

Located off the road behind golden coral this location is plagued with criminal activity. If you have your car broken into owner refuses to allow police to review cameras. A few of the rooms right next to the office have bed bugs. Bottom floor to the right. They dont have set prices so haggle. They instruct the front desk not to turn anyone away. Their breakfast is laughable and their "complimentary" items are never in stock. They freeze thaw and refreeze their milk. If you get horrible service dont blame the employees they only make minimum wage. Also pay in cash. They find ways to overcharge you on your credit card and refuse to do refunds.

This place was very dirty. Carpet faded and dirty. Paint coming off the walls. Reserved a non smoking room. Very strong smell of smoking in room. Not to mention saw a bug on bed showed the hotel staff she acted like she didn't know what it was. I told her looked like bed bug to me. Anyway needless to say she gave us a refund and we found a better much cleaner hotel to stay for about the same price.

Rented room with jetted tub for valentines day. Room hasn't been cleaned, they offer another room with smaller jetted tub. Door lock broken on this room, have to get staff to unlock if you leave room. Cigarette burns in pillow case in non smoking room. Terrible, won't be back.

The rooms stink, they have bed bugs lmao I took the bug to the front desk and the lady laughed and told us that she didn’t want to see the bug. The rooms are not worth the money I would never recommend this hotel to even my worst enemy. Compared to tr other Baymonts I’ve stayed at this one is by far the worst!

Keys didn't work half the time rooms outlets wasn't the best you go plug charger in my charger falls out the fitness room wasn't able to be open there no comforter on bed just 2 sheets I mean other then it was great near places easy to fine. Pillows had stains on them.

Dingy but clean linen on bed. Black mold on bottom of shower curtain. Shower head and toilet paper fixtures hanging out of wall. Breakfast was watered down juice and coffee plus other things. Most disgusting was the filthy old red chair and foot stool in bedroom. The building from outside was nicely taken care of.

We were pleased at check in to receive a corner room. We were further pleased when we walked in and could see some updates to the room. The pleasantries ended there. The safety latch on our door was laying on top of the microwave, with the screws to hold it in place. The door frame was splintered. Which explained why the latch was no longer on the door. With the door closed, daylight could be seen surrounding it. On our first night, someone tried to get in. I waited, thinking it was a mistake. But she was as persistent. So I yelled through the door that she had the wrong room. The bed, and pillows had a very odd odor. I couldn’t put my finger on it. But it kept me awake. The pool was filthy. The only pool furniture was concrete tables and benches outside of the fenced pool. The free breakfast was interesting. There was some bread to toast. Some oatmeal to mix up with lukewarm water, juice, and coffee. That’s it. There was a hot waffle iron, but no batter. A sign indicated yogurt could be found in the fridge. Nope. No fruit, no eggs, no sausage. On day two, we returned from a day out to find that our key card no longer worked, and our soap had been removed, yet not replaced.

The location is the strongest feature. The breakfast was lacking. No batter for waffles, no hot water for oatmeal, and no yogurt. The room appeared to be under remodel, the less than clean pool had no furniture, and our key card stopped working the second day. The place delivered an overall ghetto vibe. Art one point someone even tried to get into our room.

Staff was excellent. Room120 was filthy ie carpets and bed shams has lg cigarette burns in a non smoking room. With that said they moved us to another room and it was better. Everything clean except carpet… but 2000% better than the first. Would return but you know what they say… TRUST BUT VERIFY.

U have a nice room but its fun when your child can get into a pool.

The staff was attentive and friendly, especially the manager Ashley. Every time we stay she is very helpful and accommodating. Room was very clean and smelled like fruit loops.

Staff was very polite and helpful. Hotel is a bit dated but the room was very clean, nice sized TV and excellent working ac.

Room smelled awful! The room was okay but it was impossible to ignore the odor. Outside noises could be heard also which made it difficult to sleep. I would not recommend this hotel.

So bad we didn't even stay. Had to move to 3 different rooms. First room, card reader wasn't working. Second room, lights didn't work in bathroom and door had to be lifted for the latches to catch. Third room, door had been kicked in at one point and the jamb repaired with screws so this latch didn't work right either. Hole kicked in the bathroom door, which didn't close at all, and huge spider webs on the valance. We left and went to the Holiday Inn. Sad thing, this hotel had a sign in the lobby stating it was the newest Baymont Inn and Suites location. Dump!

The owner is terrible at his job and doesn't understand how to treat customers that come hours away and choose to stay at his hotel. The house cleaners are ok but the owner is a hypocrite and I did not enjoy my stay.

I recently Stayed in Baymont Inn & Suites in Sanford, NC. On the night of 4/11. The building is slightly dated, so I dont expect much. I did appreciate the mini fridge, microwave and the generous TV set in the room, and the service while check in was next to perfect. (My room key didn't work, but thats okay, a walk to the lobby and back is fine) Other than that, my only two complains was that there appeared to be dried blood or liquid on the bed skirt, (I'm a paramedic, and it was the bed skirt… I dont make a big fuss over something that little) and the AC didnt seem to function properly, only turning on on the lowest or highest setting. Upon waking up the next morning, I walked into the lobby to find the desk attendant ASLEEP on the couch in the lobby didn't even budge or roll over when I "ringed the bell for service") My girlfriend wanted extra creamer for her coffee, and we couldn't find any other than what was included in the room. So I went back to the room, and when my girlfriend got out the shower, I told her, and she said she'd go to the lobby and look again.

Room service was very courteous. Continental breakfast was what I have come to know from every place.

My hotel room bathroom floor had blood spots on it! plus there was no toilet paper! when I went to the front desk to get more I was lucky to get two besides the front desk being a bit rude.

No where near good guy who was at the desk I called and asked if they had a hot tub like it says they do on here and he said they did when we got here and got our room he says they have hot water for the tubs. And doesn't have any extra blankets when they only have maybe 6 people staying the night.

I was here a week and of the 3 staff I talked to, only 1 knew how to do her job. I feel bad for her working at this place. The main staff member I talked to it was PAINFULLY obvious english is his second language. This made addressing issues very difficult. My company pays every hotel with a credit card for the employees, the same credit card for all hotels. We had another crew out doing work and the credit card worked for them, us? We where told several times the credit card was not working and we had to give them our personal credit cards. After several days of working with them it finally came out they they simply did not know how to imput a credit card without physically being in their hands… now this wouldn't be bad if the guy wouldn't have argued with me about it not being his machine and threatened to kick us out. Nor if when it finally worked, if they would have charged that card for the week instead of our personal cards for half the week! The hotel itself us subpar, the free breakfast is a joke (cold coffee 4 of 5 days and hope you like cold oatmeal because there was never hot water), my rooms carpet felt like wasn't vacuumed since last guest, ect. The only redeeming factors was the Internet was fast the decent TV channel selections and nice tv… but that ends there. Do not stay here, please do not stay here. There are better options for this area, do yourself a favor and stay there!

Absolutely fantastic! Nice friendly staff, nice room, and great price! Definitely way better than the reviews I read before staying here.

All the reviews we read were pretty negative, but the hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly, it was definitely money well spent and a great price! we will definitely be back.

My room secondary latch is broken Rick use me I'm breaking it after I called the front desk. I asked for a new room they wouldn't give me the new one. Had to call my office to get a new room. I would not recommend this hotel because it unprofessional response from the front desk. If you get to try getting a room here inspect it first.

Somethin' must be different now. We stayed there Oct 12, 2013 for the Veteran's Memorial gathering in Broadway. The room was nicely done and furnished properly. Very clean. Comfortable bed and lounger. Nice TV. Priced way better than their competition. What made our stay extra nice was the gal running the place. Extremely friendly, very helpful and accommodating. The other folks in our group stated the same. I would definitely recommend this place and will stay there again if my travels take me to Sanford. Trader Jake d:^).

I wouldn't even give them a 1, flies everywhere. Bathroom fixtures was about to fall out of wall. We was a softball team and was made to check out. I will never stay here again. I highly recommend you stay somewhere else.

The stay here was horrible! If I knew I could get a refund on the hotel I would have left! The room smelled like stall cigarettes and was suppose to be a non-smoking room. The sheets had pubic hair and staining from God knows what! The dust was unbelievable also! The shower head was about to fall out of the wall with the toilet paper holder! I went up front to get more sheets so I could change my sheets and more towels because we were only given two but had four in room. They were out of towels, but there were only two other families staying at the hotel. I will not be staying at this hotel EVER again.
