A great lodge just north of the historic town of Saluda. The room, the service and everyone we met there were very friendly and socialable, which made the stay even better. I would recommend this lodge to everyone who is wanting to stay in the area. Thank you for a great experience!

This is a nice little piece of Nostalgia in the Mountains of NC. Clean and friendly… right off 26 on our way to HHI.

Great rooms, family owned motel and the views were spectacular.

The only hotel I will stay in when I come to the Asheville area. I’ve frequented this hotel at least three times a year (more often 4-5 stays) for the past two years. Sunsets and evening fires pit s’mores make this stay family friendly and unforgettable. There are also corn hole boards the kiddos love to play with. Fire wood is provided by the hotel. It’s only about a 2.5 hour drive from Augusta, GA so this is always my go to getaway.

The view is absolutely beautiful. Love the firepit out back. Very cozy rooms. Will definitely come back.

This place is amazing! The most beautiful view of any place I have ever stayed with extra clean rooms and wonderful staff. Definitely my new spot!

A beautiful view in the front and gorgeous view from your back door. Wonderful people, close to Main St downtown and a small and quaint town, right down from the Gorge Zip Lining it is very quiet at the lodge. Hiking in so many places and an easy hike to Pearson Falls. Just a wonderful stay and we will be going back soon, and dog friendly. Our English Bulldog loved it.

Awesome view and nice rooms.

I’m writing this review based on the customer service I experienced. I have yet to arrive at this motel but the owner was very friendly. I called because I mistakenly booked my night for the wrong day thru booking. Com and they were very accommodating allowing me to change my date. We are arriving late and the owner went out of his way to make sure we have a key.

Loved this Lodge! Very clean, beautiful view and the owner was so nice and helpful. I will definitely be back.

What a Gem. Great rooms in a motel style on top of the mountain with a view of the Green River Gamelands Ridgeline. Do not miss the sunrise which brings elegant shades of silver. It will make you cry. Then, if you are lucky, a local man who just sold his house will come up and sit beside you and talk your tears away. And tell you stories of his life here.

It was clean, the owners were very nice. There were a few minor maintenance items, but the beds were soft and we were tired. It served its purpose.

A wonderful retreat. We stayed just 1night at Saluda Mountain Lodge, but we will definitely be booking again. This little hotel is full of charm from the details of the room decor to the gracious owners that greet you at the desk. The hotel sits high on a hilltop and the back doors of each guestroom open to the amazing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy that view while gathering around the firepit and koi pond each night with other guests. There is a small game room with a fireplace for cold nights and a cornhole game set up outside. The rooms are decorated in lodge style with quilted comforters and country artwork. The walls and ceilings are tounge and groove pine to give it that log cabin feel. The owners are kind and really go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. This hotel really gave us that home away from home feel. We will definitely be back.

Quaintness, not luxury. We stay here every year on the way to Summer camps for our kids. Always attentive and friendly. They've done a great job making this into a Mountain Lodge getaway. Gorgeous views, an open-pit fire for smores (we stop at a store on the way for the fixins), rustic feel, warm & accommodating host & hostess.

Zero star! The owners were rude, nasty, and treated us horribly. They insulted my special needs son and implied he was less than a dog. The exterior light bulbs were blown out. Room was dirty. Food found under the bed. Wi-Fi doesn’t work. Called the owners they never aswered or called back. Bathroom trim is coming apart. Old used smelly lotion and used soap bottles. Spiders in room. I will never stay here again.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed at. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Rooms were dirty found pacifier and cereal under the bed. Spiders crawling on night stand. Owners never answer phone when you have a problem. ZERO cellphone service and no Wi-Fi connection. Stains on the chairs. Bathroom paint peeling off everywhere. Used lotion and soap on counter.

Nice views. Great hiking. Warm, friendly artsy town. Zip lining, river rafting, kayaking, biking, lots to do.

Great motel with a beautiful mountain view. The room was clean with all the fixings you would hope for. I really enjoyed the bedding that made me feel like I was sleeping in a relatives guest room. Very cosy.

BED BUGS They have bed bugs. Paid to stay for five nights, left after the fourth night. Ate by bed bugs the first two nights. The third night I took a picture of one and showed it to the owner. He tried to make out like I brang it with me. Hell I came straight from my home to that motel and I can assure I dont have BED BUGS at my house. Had Trouble getting on there WI-FI the first night. Not a place I would recommend.

Pictures and information are a bit misleading. The rooms are nice but not as big as the pictures make them look. The only difference between a standard and deluxe room is the "deluxe" rooms have a back door where the "standard" rooms have a window. The amenities list a phone in each room but there was no phone in my room. Bathrooms are very clean but a little small compared to most other hotel/motels. Also not very many TV channels available, just the basics. Overall I was satisfied but not super impressed with my stay. There are other hotels 5 minutes away that offer free breakfast and have bigger rooms for the same price or less.

Amazing outdoor seating with the best view of most motels I've seen very friendly owners comfy beds also like how it's hidden away I will be back.

Meh — motor lodge with a nice view behind it. Room was comfortable and clean but you have to ask for housekeeping which is weird. Probably wouldn't return at these prices.

Easy on and off 26! Wonderful decor and a fun fire pit for evenings. Comfortable bed and chair. Furniture was a bit shabby but Wi-Fi was strong and wonderful. We will stay again when we are in the area.

I travel around 3 months of the year, staying in different hotels each night. Saluda Mountain Lodge was absolutely perfect. Amazing view of the mountains from the backyard, cozy rooms, and the friendliest owners I've ever encountered.

This is an insanely over priced Motel 8 that they call a "mountain lodge. " I do not recommend to anyone! The shower makes a really loud noise. The rooms aren't that clean. The microwave decided to beep obnoxiously in the middle of the night waking my boyfriend and I up. Stupid mistake I don't want anyone else to make.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Slightly quirky, helpful amenities. Beautiful views. Secluded quiet location.

If your going to be anywhere in the area this is the place to stay! Yes the rooms are smaller than a double suite at Marriott but you won't beat the view, the personal touch to details and the awesome managers.

What a hidden gem. The view it breathtaking. They have a beautiful fire pit and do Smores and popcorn for guests. The rooms have so much character and are comfortable. Loved staying here.

Great location. Within 15 minutes to several really nice waterfalls. The service was great, very nice. Rooms ac worked awesome and if you aren't careful you will freeze your drinks in the fridge. I personally like that! Of course you can adjust the temp if needed.

Just needed to get away and this place was perfect. The staff was beyond friendly. The view was absolutely stunning. The rooms were decorated like I was in a Tennesse cabin. Fresh linens and just an all around cute place. I look forward to visiting again soon.

This is a fabulous little gem in the NC mountains. Family owned, quaint, clean and economical. The owners are very nice and accommodating, and they even lit the fire pit for us and brought us everything we needed to make s'mores, which we enjoyed with a bottle of wine while relaxing with a view of the mountains. Convenient to attractions, hiking, shops, bakeries and adorable little restaurants and pubs. I highly recommend this place for an off the beaten path experience unlike the chain hotels, and I will definitely be back.

The view is pretty in front of the lodge but the back is fantastic! This quaint lodge is family owned and run. Its clean and comfortable. They have received recognition for their housekeeping/cleanliness. There is a common room stocked with books, games and comfortable seating. On the back lawn is seating to admire the vista, a nice fire ring, and a great grill/outdoor kitchen. We were there during the week so we didnt get to enjoy the fire ring and s'mores or the owners grill cooking skills which apparently happen on weekends. Its a nice break from commercial chain lodging. The friendly and helpful family members help make this a great place to stay. We intend to stay again.
