Everything was great. Accommodations, the scenery, the food and of course the hospitality of Marianne and Marc. We loved spending the time with them and loved spending time at the Orchard Inn.

A quaint Inn with a great staff. Newmans Restaurant is fabulous too!

My wife and I spent a few days at the Orchard Inn last week. It was 5 stars from the moment we walked in the front door. The staff was superb. They greeted us with warm smiles everytime we saw them. The food at breakfast and dinner was world class. We ate in a beautiful dining area looking out at the mountains. The first morning our table looked out over some bird feeders and they had a card on the table to show us what birds were there. The rooms were awesome. We stayed in the Holly cabin. The bed was amazing (and beds on the road usually are not). Everything was the most comfortable ever (the bed, the sheets, the comforter, the pillows etc. We enjoyed sitting in front of our fireplace, sitting out on our screened in porch, or sitting in the steam/sauna shower in our room. We had great Wi-Fi, but no TV which was a blessing. We had quite a library in the room, but also a great library in the main building with loads of books to choose from. There was a massive TV room in the main building with board games, pool table and many things to do. There were hiking trails, etc. You could be active, or just take time to truly rest and relax. There was original art and photos beautifully displayed. The Spa was also wonderful. We enjoyed a couples massage. Saluda was also wonderful… everyone was so friendly and everywhere we went, we felt at home. The Orchard Inn made this the best vacation we have had in a long time. We are definitely going back.

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was the perfect romantic getaway. It has cozy, private cottages, a spacious and inviting common area with lots of amenities in the big house, and a lovely breakfast with the most amazing views. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at The Orchard Inn for the weekend and had a wonderful experience! The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was delicious! We would definitely recommend a stay and are likely to visit again. The spa was a definite plus too! We had a relaxing massage! A great time!

Everything about this Inn is relaxing. Their choice of music sets the mood and puts ones mind at rest. The views are beautiful and there are many places to relax, the front porch, the large lobby with books, comfortable furniture and a coffee/tea station. The grounds are lovely and a nice hiking trail around the Inn.
The food was memorable. We really loved Sunday Brunch. The views of the mountains were spectacular and the service, drinks and food were top notch. I would recommend to anyone.
If you want a short drive from Greenville to transport you and elevate your senses try the Orchard Inn. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy,

Couldn’t say enough nice things about this place. Nothing shy of amazing. Adam was wonderful, he gave us a nice tour of the place (which is very beautiful) and he made sure we had all we needed to feel at home. Dinner was stupendous! I highly recommend this place!

Lovely, impeccably clean and cozy Inside and out. Staff like family and most friendly with service that is genuinely hospitable always. A unique B&B experience at Christmas and gourmet healthy food. Mountain vistas on 2 sides and big porch to just relax with nature on the other. Been there 3 years and it never disappoints!

The staff is courteous and accommodating. The food is exquisite and only baits you into visiting again for the fine dining experience. Such a close getaway with a beautiful scenic view, truly a hidden treasure that we plan to frequent on special occasions. We highly recommend but then again want to savour it for ourselves. We had the most enjoyable relaxing and rejuvenating stay at this cozy, comfortable Inn. The amenities are generous, the breakfasts delicious, the scenery exquisite and the location perfect. We will look forward to a future visit!

Location and Inn was perfect for our elopement wedding. On top of that Marc and Marianne were incredible, and really helped make it a special day!

My husband and I spent Valentine’s weekend at the Orchard Inn. We love it so much. The staff were extremely accommodating as well as happy and upbeat. The mattress and bedding were wonderful. Everything was top quality including the breakfasts and dinners. The chef there is remarkable and creative. We plan to go back and rent a cottage next time so we can bring our poodle, Allie.

We celebrated New Year's at the Orchard Inn and it was amazing! The hospitality of the Inn is wonderful. The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. The meals were so delicious and beautifully prepared. The service overall is a 5 star in our eyes. We are planning to return in April for a wine dinner with the Chaine of Greenville. Can't wait!

I loved the Orchard Inn. The food, the waiters, the receptionists, the chef and of course the hosts were awesome. Right after stepping in, I was relaxed and it felt like home (oh and the mattress was extremely comfortable). Can’t wait to come back and I would highly recommend it. Thank you Marianne and Marc!

My friends and I stayed at the Orchard Inn in Laurel Cottage a few weeks ago. What a peaceful place! The views were beautiful this time of year. The owners and staff were warm and accommodating — and the breakfast that is included with the room was delicious! It is right off the interstate but a world away. And the town of Saluda is right down the road. Don’t miss the Orchard Inn if you need an overnight or a few days of R & R.

Great views, lovely place.

Wonderful property in a spectacular location! From the time we arrived, we made to to feel so welcome — Marc, Marianne and family are so incredibly hospitable! Our room was wonderful, the restaurant amazing and the views absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend this to anyone looking to get away from it all! We can’t wait to visit again — next time we’ll be checking out the spa!

The pictures do not do this charming inn justice! The inn has a cozy, homey, yet sophisticated vintage feel. We were in town for the apple festival and picked this inn last minute. Room
They only had a room with twin beds, which they pushed together for us to make a king. It was like sleeping on a cloud! Small bathroom and small room but perfect for a couple. No TV but you can watch downstairs. Inn
The huge front porch and the view from the back deck made you feel like you were at your family home in the mountains. The two dogs and two cats made us feel like nostalgic for our grandma’s country home! I love the way the inside is set up, reminiscent of a mini B&B version of the Grove Park Inn. My favorite was the restaurant facing the mountain and garden view. We also enjoyed the TV room downstairs with the pool table. Very comfortable space. Breakfast
Omg… amazing! We tried the oatmeal and yogurt granola. Go for the special feature — we had a strata and a crepe (can’t remember the fancy name) but both were fantastic. Overall — Great stay! The inn is so peaceful and a great location to get in and out of town easily. The only suggestion is to host an afternoon wine hour. Thanks for a great stay!

We celebrated my husband’s 75th Birthday at the Orchard Inn and it was such a wise choice. Nestled in the mountains, I felt I was in another country! The view was so marvelous and environment so peaceful that we spent most of our day here! You will be hard-pressed to find better innkeepers. They take the title very seriously! And the breakfast is a gourmet treat.

Our happy place! Love the mountain setting and the views. Dog friendly. Instant relaxation and plenty of activities nearby. And the food is top notch, too. Always a pleasure to visit with Marc and Marianne and to slow down in Saluda!

Staying here was the most disappointing experience i’ve had after reading raving reviews before booking this place. Our view from this tiny room (at $160 per night) was of a dirt parking lot. Speaking of dirt roads, the dirt lane leading up to this place was full of BIG potholes. There was also little parking. There were quite a few steps from the parking space to the Inn’s entrance with no one to help with luggage. Once in the Inn, another narrow staircase to again tote luggage. The room was clean, but shoddy. To turn off a bedside light, my husband had to crawl under the bed to unplug the light. There were 4 thin plastic hangers in the closet. Food was Ok, but I have had better in most other restaurants. The high price of the food was not commensurate with the quality. On a good note… we did enjoy The Gin Game, which was presented before our meal. Would DEFINETL Y not recommend this place.

We were traveling recently in the Saluda area en route to taking our daughter to summer camp. We'd been out exploring and were in super casual clothes (and quite frankly a bit sweaty and muddy). As we were dropping our daughter off for 3 weeks at camp and we had also been trekking out of the country, we were all really in need of a great, satisfying, quiet family dinner. We called Newman's not realizing until we looked further online that the restaurant was more formal and had a dress code. I mentioned to the lovely person taking my potential reservation that I really didn't think we should come to dinner because we did not have appropriate attire with us. She graciously told us not to worry at all about that; come on for dinner. We had what can only be described as an exquisite meal and dining experience. Every dish was a work of art. The wine suggestions were spot on. And careful care was taken by the chef to modify the prix fix choices to accommodate our daughter's non-dairy, vegetarian diet. I cannot say enough about the beautiful setting, wonderful meal and fabulous service. Southern hospitality defined.

Peace, quiet, a blend of old, new, American, and European. Innkeepers Marc and Marianne are charming, helpful, and attentive without hovering. Beautifully and tastefully decorated inside and out with antiques and gardens, respectively. And then there's the food. We overheard another guest remark that this was better food than he'd had at three-star Michelin restaurants. I'd agree. Each plate looked like an illustration from a cuisine magazine. The Inn is located in a beautiful spot, with many opportunities to hike, fish, stroll, and just relax on the Inn's broad covered porches. Highly recommended!

We had our wedding at Pearson's Falls in Saluda in May. We went to dinner at Newman's after and were so happy with our decision. The owners was so pleasant, yet not intrusive and very much on top of things. The food was phenomenal and we loved the service given to us. A beautiful and peaceful location. Thank you for all your help, we look forward to our return.

Lovely, very personal service. Sat outside on terrace in perfect weather and only birds and the breeze for sound. Unusual selections for brunch… all very beautifully presented.

My mother and I had the pleasure of staying at the Orchard Inn during my last book tour. Of all the places we have visited across the country, this adorable place had one of the best restaurants we'd eaten at. I can say this with certainty because in our short 24-hour stay we had a five course dinner, two course breakfast, and three course brunch. So we truly sampled the chef's creations across the board and they were all AMAZING! The owners are a true delight. The entire staff is enchanting. And the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, a pure study in peace and tranquility. I loved my morning hike around the property and when it rained while we had breakfast (fog coming off the surrounding mountains like steam off a cup of hot, locally-sourced coffee, leaves vivid in color, and cardinals and finches flitting about in front of us) I was in utter awe. Such a wonderful experience!

Another great Dickens Christmas dinner. We will be back again next year!

We had a very nice brunch at The Orchard Inn recently. The menu and the execution of the food preparation were excellent. The variety of foods was surprising and the visual arrangement was also well done. We were a group of eight dining there and the service was excellent with all dishes were served together and hot. The quality of food was much better than I expected from a B&B and I would like to return soon.

My husband and I have had the honor of staying at the Orchard Inn twice in the last year. We would describe it as the most relaxing time we have had in a long time. You cannot beat sitting on the front porch during the afternoon, or on the patio by the fire pit in the evening, unless it is how well you sleep with the window open and that fresh mountain air coming in at night! Marc and Marianne are gracious and welcoming hosts and have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. If you go, do not miss dining at Newman's, you will not find anything better, it truely is a treat. The breakfast is equally delicious and the mountain view is breathtaking! I only wish we could get away to the Orchard Inn more often!

Always a wonderful time at the Orchard Inn! A beautiful setting, gourmet food, comfortable rooms, lovely innkeepers — — what more could you ask for? We've stayed here during all seasons and each one has its charms. Our happy place and home away from home!

Never have my husband and I been to a place that felt so restful. The inn keepers have such dedication to make the inn a peaceful retreat for all who come! You don't even have to leave your bed to get see spectacular views of the mountain sunrise! The inn keepers even packed us warm home made scones when we were heading out on an early waterfall adventure at 7:30 am and had to miss the breakfast time! We are already planning our next stay to go back again!

A beautiful inn with wonderful views, comfortable rooms & welcoming atmosphere. But the housekeeping staff is underpaid, compared to other inns in surrounding areas. Housekeepers were very accommodating & friendly. But were unhappy with their hourly wage of only $8-$9 per hr. I have visited a few inns in Flat Rock, Chimney Rock/Lake Lure & Asheville. Most start their housekeeping staff at $9.50-$12 per hr. No matter if they are part or full time. This concerned me. I felt that the housekeeping wage received at this particular inn was unfair. Therefore, I made sure to tip the two housekeepers I spoke to. A Lil extra money in their pockets for a job well done.

Wonderful location in the mountains with cool breezes and amazing views. Rooms are very comfortable with great beds, fabulous linens. Breakfast was excellent only to be out done by the best dinner ever in their Newman's Restaurant. A must visit if you travel to Western NC.

Our daughter's wedding was held there and the whole experience was positive. The setting was lovely and the food was fantastic. The wedding was very small but it was everything our daughter. On subsequent visits the food has always been terrific. We go whenever we can.

The Orchard Inn is a wonderful place to stay. The proprietors are kind, polite, and well-spoken. The inn itself is beautiful, with clean, well-furnished rooms, excellent views, and both a comfortable lobby and excellent game room.

Beautiful house with lots to look at. Comfortable beds. It was a small room It had a private bathroom and a queen bed, Nice view of the mountains on room 3. Food is quite pricey and portions are small, however the dinning area has a beautiful mountain view. Service was good. The young lady who took our reservation over the phone was very helpful and polite. Didn't get a warm, fuzzy feeling from the owners.

Absolutely incredible bed and breakfast. The Orchard Inn is truly a special place. The setting is gorgeous — views of the mountains surround the Inn, and the mountain breeze comes in the windows during breakfast. The breakfast is delicious — a great way to start your day. There are lots of attractions nearby in Saluda and the surrounding towns. Pearson's Falls is very close to the Inn. Newman's Restaurant is phenomenal — the plating is beautiful and the food is an experience. Worth making reservations for a romantic evening. Marc and Marianne are wonderful hosts — they are attentive and clearly care about the happiness of their guests.

My wife and I came to The Orchard Inn and enjoyed chatting with Marc and Marianne they are very warm, helpful and welcoming. The room accommodations were spot on, both comfortable and relaxing. The common areas are well appointed with many places to sit, relax and enjoy the view. The grounds are equally as lovely. Our dinner at the inns restaurant Newman's was delicious and paired with a great wine selection as well. Breakfast the following morning was very good. We enjoyed watching the birds in the many bird feeders as we ate breakfast. We not only give The Orchard Inn 5 stars, we not only highly recommend it we will definitely return for the fall color and the crisp nights. Cheers!

This was our third visit and it still remains our favorite place. You start with a glass of wine and complimentary hors d'oeuvres overlooking the mountains and gardens. Inside is a spectacular five star restaurant serving a four course dinner of wonderful meats and vegetables and other delicacies from the garden. The entire first floor is friendly and inviting — — comfy seating arrangements, fireplace, library, and a huge front porch. This is a 'must visit' place.
