Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salisbury, an IHG Hotel

Make sure you keep up with your charges. I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Salisbury put it on my credit card the room was already paid for, they ask for credit card and ID when I arrived that's normal. When the desk clerk checked my ID she said I had a Salisbury address and the room went up. She tried to change the amount it wouldn't let her, so she went and ask about it. She came back and said that the rate would not change, I said ok, thank you. After checking out the next morning there was an extra thirty dollars on my card. The 2nd day there was another charge for 49 dollars and some change. The only difference about the room when I left, the towels that were used and the bed needed changed. My card company is looking into the matter. Be very leary using your cards at Holiday Inn Express in Salisbury, NC!

Stopped by to reserve a meeting room for an occassion later this year.
A gentleman at the desk, Devin was professional, courteous and the epitome of customer service oriented. He showed us the 1st meeting room after asking us the size of the event. He then stated he would get the Director of Sales, Melissa O. The positive experience ended then and there. Realizing we did not have an appointment we waited about 15 minutes for Melissa to introduce herself in the lobby, without an appointment I was expecting a longer wait. I own 4 businesses and at 1 time owned 3 hotels in a resort area. I have NEVER had anyone in the hospitality industry so dismissive, arrogant and pretentious. After an insufferable 15 or so minutes of her demeaning attitude, she handed me a card with someone elses name hand written on it and stated, "if you have any other questions or want to book contact them. " This from the " Director of Sales ". I left a message for the General Manager at 345 pm and at 448pm the same same and not a return call at all.
I highly recommend taking any corporate event or lodging needs to the Marriott across the parking lot or the Comfort Inn and Suites across the street, I did. Moreover, I have a need to book 20 rooms with facilities for another event in the area in the 1st quarter of 2020, needless to say I will not even contact this facility.

Rooms are nice. Refreshments at breakfast seemed watered down. Very good experience, very pleasant people.

As a business traveler I think it's important to be accurate when reviewing. That being said I hope this review helps you out. I'll list the good and the bad and let you decide. Here we go: Pros — close to the highway with food options at a gas station all right next door. Hotel looks to be recently remodeled and is bright and clean looking. While the night staff wasn't too friendly the morning staff was very friendly and greeted you with smiles. The breakfast was much better than the typical breakfast that hotels offer. Had all different types of options and was quite pleased with it. Cons — when I checked into my initial room it had a very strong smell of being damp. I don't want to say moldy because I didn't see any mold. That being said I ask to switch rooms and it was exactly the same. The beds were kind of hard so if you like that thing you're okay for someone who likes a super soft bed like me I wasn't happy. Last but not least the carpeting is very thin so if you have anybody above you you can hear every step that they take and I guarantee the same can be said for anyone below you! Hope this review helps you out in some way enjoy your travel!

The location is in a horrible location. It's hard to access and limited parking. The hotel does not provide adequate security for it's patrons and relies on the overworked local PD to provide constant security. I have learned there have been a lot of car break ins here.

This was our 2nd visit there and we are pleased that we chose it. Had friendly service, easy access to interstate, restaurants all around and a Wal Mart behind you that is within walking distance. That's a plus.

For parties and weekdays and weekends because close to restaurants and Charlotte is 45 mins a away.

Pool and gym were MUCH smaller than the website indicated. Rooms were nice though. Very comfortable beds and clean rooms. Was a little disappointed with their lack of communication with a trolley service that often is used for shuttling guests to other events in the area. They had no information on how to contact the trolley company (there couldn't be more than 1 or 2 trolley services in one area) and didn't offer to help when we were having issues getting from the hotel to a local wedding. Overall it wasn't a bad hotel but wasn't exceeding my expectations.

Great hotel and great staff, theres plenty to do in the area and everything seems reasonably close. Internet is awesome and the rooms are clean. Definitely suggest staying here!

Was here from May 20-25 Food Lion Booked us here. Very nice place to stay. The staff was great. They all was very friendly from Manager down to housekeeping. Rooms was kept clean. Breakfast they had for us was great! They sent us to all the Great Spots to eat Smoke Pit was out of this world (go hungrey). I truly recommend this nice place.

Best sleep I have ever had. Best service you could ask for! Everyone was so kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel! Wish I could give more then 5 stars!

This place is ultra clean and staff is extra nice. Room is very large and price is very cheap compared to a city such as Atlanta. Need a really nice place to escape from the hustle and bustle and maybe get some sleep, this is the spot. Nothing missed here. Can't book at this location… 10 or so miles down the road is another that's comparable next to the Childress place in Lexington. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

We had a very good experience with our stay here at the Holiday Inn Express in Salisbury North Carolina. The room was clean and modern and the amenities for all that we needed. I found the beds to be comfortable.

My sister and I at this Holiday Inn Express while my brother in law was in the VA hospital. The staff were friendly and curtious. When we checked in for 2 nights we were suppose to receive our AAA discount. We were told we would and was quoted a price so we agreed to check in. The morning after the 2nd night the bill had the discount for one night but not the second. My sister questioned this bc we were told one price and charged another. The front desk associate spoke to the mgr and told us nothing could be done. This was a 20.00 difference! We had planned on staying one more night. After this very poor management decision to not honor the quote and we had already stayed we decided to go elsewhere. We went to the Marriott next door but they were booked up. The front desk associate there called the Hampton Inn for us and they had a room. Wow now that's customer service. The front desk associate at the Hampton Inn was fabulous. The best I've ever experienced. I'm guessing that the Holiday Inn Express can afford to lose customers. Beware because you may be told one price and charged another.

Very clean. Happy to see that a Motel is making their facility so easy to inspect for Bed Bugs in their a rooms and have put furniture in that are more difficult for Bed Bugs to Harbor. Would most definitely come back.

This Hotel has been recently updated. Everything is immaculate. Service is spectacular. Staff, breakfast and all new high tech super comfortable mattresses.

I've been here for only a few minutes but if you are used to quiet ask for a room on the front side of the hotel. Love that it's a new property. Clean, modern and fresh smelling.

Our stay was awesome. The staff ensured we were confortable and helped make our Polar Express trip an awesome experience.

So much nicer than the last Holiday Inn Express I stayed at (last weekend). Everything is clean, up to date, and functional. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well.

Great place! My name is Beast and my Mommy and Daddy stay at the Holiday Inn Express every chance they get when we go out of town. We always get great service, clean rooms and have friendly staff! We stayed in Salisbury, North Carolina this weekend and these two guys were awesome! Brand New, great beds. No bugs! It is by the interstate and it can be loud. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The place looks and smells new. The main thing is the staff. I can't say enough compliments about Ms Toni, and Teresa. They both were so helpful and kind personalities. Felt right at home in this place. We will be back.

Brand new hotel, all nice amenities, for more quiet night make sure to ask a room on the other side of the highway but it is to be expected. Staff was nice, internet speedy and breakfast as you would expect from an holiday inn Express. No complains after a 7 night stay.

We escaped to this hotel after a mandatory evacuation from our home in Florida. We stayed for five nights as roads were dodgy, we had no power, and we sustained some damage that needed to be assessed. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating of us and even our pets, for whom they made an exception. The rooms were clean and the mattresses super comfortable. The breakfast ladies were wonderful. We were so pleased. I'm an IHG employee and I was so impressed by the professionalism of everyone we met there. Keep up the awesome work; I'll make sure all my family up there knows about our great experience in a very stressful time!

New hotel, very nice and modern. Would visit again. I could tell that the staff was still settling in based on a few kinks, however overall a good stay.

Possibly the most comfy bed I have ever slept in, the staff was so friendly. I know the breakfast is free but it would have been nice to have waffles, their breakfast was otherwise very good!

This hotel appears to be very new. It's clean inside and the rooms are great. What really sets this hotel apart from some of the other chains is the staff. When I walked in I was greeted promptly and professionally that made me feel appreciated and welcome. Big shout out to the MOD Khori for getting checked in quickly and offered great suggestions for local dining. Much appreciated Khori. And to the cleaning staff who offer warm greetings as well. The gym had nice new equipment too.

My mother in law had 8 rooms reserved for a wedding this weekend. They were over priced to begin with but the problem was that she was supposed to have rooms ready at 3pm, and our rehearsal dinner was at 4. One room was ready at 3:15 and the others were not clean until 3:45 or later. A few of the staff were really rude about our rooms, and then we were suggested to change clothes and get ready in the public bathroom. The only thing to apologize they did was give her a Starbucks card. For how many rooms she reserved and how many weeks in advance, they really should have been nicer and ready when promised.

Hotel staff were very friendly, they have breakfast which is complimentary, it was hood, the expected standard food. The interior is very nice looking and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel appears newly renovated, breakfast is good, rooms are clean, and the location is perfect.

The staff is outstanding caring and made us feel at home. This is our second visit here. Breakfast is on point with delicious selections and the cinnamon rolls are the family favorite. Beds are comfy cozy as my granddaughter puts it. We will be back in my for our daughter's college graduation from Catawba College.
