The walls are super thin. Decided to stay here tonight before my board certification exam and it’s so loud. Called the front desk but that didn’t help. Definitely wouldn’t stay here on a night where good sleep is needed.

Afternoon tea. Great company and lovely environment but the kitchen seemed a little off its game which surprised me, because past experience at a wedding there was exceptional. Would still come back of course after the holidays to see if it was a fluke.

I was treated to and enjoyed a great Afternoon Tea for my 75th birthday by my sweet granddaughter, Sara, who is a student at Duke University. Tea, food and service could not have been better!

Upscale but somewhat casual restaurant with a club-like atmosphere. Fairly standard menu, good service, good food. Prices reasonable but not cheap. Vegan options exist, though limited. Recommended.

I stayed overnight in a king size room for one night with a conference for work. The room was very nice in the bed was comfortable. Conference Center was good and the space was well maintained. The food was not the best I've had but it was decent. I did not play golf so I know nothing about the course.

Pretty nice place. I didn't play golf, just stayed in the hotel and went to the conference rooms. The food was decent but nothing that blew me away. Pictures are of a king size room. The bar beer and wine prices were off the charts! $9 bucks for a beer and $15 for a glass of red wine.

I love coming here for high tea or for events. The staff is always helpful and respectful. High tea is an excellent experience with wonderful selection of teas and food. Menus offered for events are outstanding. Very classy overall.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn on our sons college tour of Duke. The staff are amazing, the rooms are very nice and comfortable. We checked out and on the way to the airport our flight was delayed so ultimately we were going to miss our connection, so we turned around and headed back to the Washington Duke. Hoping they still had a room for one night, they were so helpful in finding us one. We were so grateful we got to enjoy another night here. We will definitely be back if we are in the Durham area again.

My son and I have been going to a Duke Medicine Clinic for 30 years. We decided to stay at Washington Duke Inn for 2 nights during this appointment. We traveled almost 2 hours away from La Grange, NC. To say that we were happy with your Inn and the experience that you provided is an understatement. Your Inn made what was a difficult medical visit more pleasant with your incredible concern that everyone's stay be as wonderful as it could be. Thank you to Octavia for making our reservation, Sean for getting us to the appointment with your shuttle, Lisa who we met in your gift shop, Bryan who delivered our in room dining and Sydney for checking us out. Each and every one was a kind, considerate individual who make this world a better place to be in. Thank you from myself and my son. Your kindness will not be forgotten and we will recommend your Inn to family and friends.

The location was great as it was close to the venue in which the wedding was held (Duke chapel) as well as being near other fun attractions. The rooms were very nice and the beds we're incredible comfortable. It seems like there are great options for room service even though I did not take advantage of them.

Wonderful location and near outstanding Duke Golf Course. Staff very helpful and well laid out facility that can handle large through small groups. Ample parking with a short walk to the facilty. Would go back there.

Nice hotel and restaurant/bar. But the drinks are pricey! My cocktail was $18 with Patron Silver. I went here for a social function dinner. The dinner was pretty good, but the service was average at best. It took a long time to get a refill on my wine. The hotel itself and the grounds are gorgeous and I’m sure a great place for a romantic getaway.

Nice hotel with incredibly convenient location to Duke University. Hotel features a golf course as well as indoor pool. High end restaurant is a must visit and very popular bar area. Tons of meeting/banquet type spaces and services. Hotel has wonderful service and is high end all around. Beautiful location including a great walking/running trail through Duke Forest.

Beautiful place. Were there for a work event. Clean and helpful staff. Food was good, not as good as I thought it would be, but probably because it was a big event.

Diner was kinda hard to find in the building, but the location was very aesthetic and peaceful. The service was phenomenal and staff we're very nice. Would definitely go again (on Duke food points, which isn't happening anymore apparently…)

Very beautiful regal hotel and conference center. Once you check in you probably won't need to contact the Inn staff as they have prepared so well for their guests. A plus is you don't even have to be a Duke fan but it helps. Beautiful antiques spread throughout the entire Inn. Great place for those aspiring Golf pros as well.

Our Tech Expo took place here recently. The place is incredible. Great location, easy to find. Conference rooms were spacious, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and lunch that was served was great.

I stayed 4 nights (Sun-Thursday) and my room was nice and the location was great for Duke Hospital. The BIG problem I had was that the room did have a refrigerator, however it was filled with alcohol, wine and soda that was available for purchase. The tag on the keyring said that if I removed the objects (to store other items) I would be charged $30.00 per night. I happen to be a stage 3 brain cancer patient at Duke and this is the first time I had to find an alternate way to store my medicine. I did have the option to request another fridge for personal items, however that price was not disclosed. I should not have to pay for a fridge at a 4 star hotel.

We spent two nights at the Inn for our wedding anniversary in February 2018. We'd never stayed there and had no idea how wonderful this place is! It sits adjacent to the Duke U campus in a lovely wooded setting. The room was well appointed and the bedding was so comfortable that we slept like logs. The whole place was beautifully furnished, with wonderful nooks to just sit, read and drink the complimentary coffee set up in the bar area during the morning. I used the fitness room and was surprised at the good quality of the equipment which seemed to be well maintained. Many pieces such as the treadmills were new. The pool, hot tub and locker room were spotless! We found the staff to be amazingly helpful and courteous. My husband lost his wallet sometime during our trip. Everyone at the Inn helped us look for it — the chief of security searched our room with us and even offered to help us look through our car. They took our name and phone number in case it showed up. Fortunately, the wallet was found elsewhere later that week but the Washington Duke Inn folks went far beyond the call of duty in helping us look. We will certainly stay there again!

Room was elegant. Staff was courteous. Food was excellent. Would highly recommend. Only lowlight was not being allowed a late checkout, but it wouldn't be fair to deduct a star for that. Would recommend. 5 stars.

It's a beautiful space for an event. One of the finest in Durham. The service staff addressed every dining need without prompting. They were excellent. I chose four starts because I was disappointed in how my food came out. Every other person at our 8 top received their dinner, but because they ran out of the vegetarian option, it took an extra 10 minutes for a plate to be prepared for me. I had to insist every one else enjoy their meal before mine arrived. It was awkward. When my food arrived it was a clear compromise to get something out of the kitchen. In fairness, I was attending a large event with a lot for the staff to coordinate.

Spectacular! Absolutely wonderful new years eve dinner. All courses were perfect. Service and ambience was top of the line. One of the best 5 dinners I have had anywhere in the world.

We have been dining at the Washington Duke Inn for nearly 25 years in both restaurants. We enjoy the Bull Durham Tavern for casual get togethers with friends and family while reserving the Fairview for extra special occasions, like holiday celebrations. Food quality is always top quality, as is the service in either area. It doesn't matter what item I select on the menu — always perfect — and I must always have a cup of their corn, shrimp and bacon chowder. Outstanding!

A group I belong to had it's Holiday Luncheon there today. It was such an enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I'm sure we will be returning!

Washington Duke is a beautiful hotel with attractive rooms. I especially enjoyed the tile on the shower wall which looked like basket weaving. The service was very good, though the room service menu could have enjoyed some expansion. The staff we interacted with were fairly friendly. Our room overlooked the golf course, which made for a pleasant thought-not-exactly-breathtaking view when we chose to have the curtains open. The king bed was luxurious, and the pillows perfect. It was quite lovely overall.

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Everyone wished us a happy anniversary as we walked into the restaurant and as through to our table. The food was fabulous with care taken to the very last detail. I would highly recommend.

A wonderful place to stay and play. Great atmosphere in the Bull Durham bar. Fantastic farm to table dining as well. We have come for 4 years while visiting our son at Duke. Always feels like a mini vacation. Personnel is very friendly. One piece of advice : don't wear UNC gear! This is Blue Devils territory!

I love having breakfast here. The waitstaff is always attentive and the eggs Florentine are delicious. I think I would be happy to eat a cup of the Hollandaise sauce by itself it's so good!

The rooms are well put together. A good mix of classic décor and modern amenities. The room was quiet and dark for sleeping. The employees were very curtious and helpful. The bar was great at night to sit outside and watch the light fade from the golf course. A great stay!

Valet & staff kind but was charged a different rate without being informed at check in and told they couldn't change the booking rate which is exactly what they did! They charged me almost $50 more than the booked rate they claimed they could not change. Had I known at check in, I could have changed hotels. The hotel is also getting old and could use a face lift.

The area is very polished and we'll put together. The restaurant has a good selection of beer and finger foods. I would recommend this location to others.

Attended a small event. The decor is fine. The drink server was not very helpful when I asked for a suggestion. I love that they have wash rags in the bathroom instead of paper towels.

My ex husband was a chef here for many years so we were quite often spoiled on his days off with peach mimosas and the lovely gardens and beautiful gold course. The most luscious, exquisite hotel in the Triangle area. Perfect for a very special event or a lavish wedding. True gem Free parking and wheel chair accessible parking, and shuttle.

The hotel. Is very conveniently located near the Duke University campus. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The one bedroom suite was cozy and clean. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with both hot and cold food and made to order eggs and waffles. The wait staff is fantastic! I will definitely stay at this hotel when I am in the Durham area.

My friends are members of the Washington Duke Country Club and I met them at the club for lunch yesterday. It was really classy. Elegant without being snobby. I pulled up to the front for valet parking, will have a short meeting and drink in the bar area, and then went into the dining room for the meal. The architecture is wonderful with heavy moldings and coffered ceiling accents, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and the meal was pretty on target. Get the dessert! I had the cheesecake and shared it with one of my friends. Spectacular. Highly recommend! I don't know what the club membership costs, but the environment is very genteel, and the food is terrific. Go check it out.

Here for the Jimmy V Kids Klassic. Food and drinks were awsome. Staff are the epitome of professionalism!

We went for high tea, and we're not disappointed. The ambiance was superb, the room was spacious with ample room for each of our eight guests to be quite comfortable. We were able to hear each other and hold conversations unencumbered by noise from anything else. The wait staff was excellent and the food very nice and sufficient.

The restaurant is luxurious and comfortable. The service is top notch and I give the food a 4 out 5. I recommend this establishment as a great place for brunch.

I came in for an AICPA event and was served a delicious lunch of Italian meatloaf and some well prepared veggies. I was then and speaker panelist and judge in the Forest room. I appreciated the all day snack/refreshment bar and great service by the hotel staff.

Excellent drinks and service. The staff was kind and prompt, the food was amazing. I highly recommend the Mahi mahi!

We came for dinner and it was an okay experience. The service was somewhat slow and the food was kind of bland. I have gone for brunch in the past and while the service wasn't that great then either, the brunch menu was pretty tasty and I did enjoy the meal overall. Outside is very scenic so that also helps the experience.

The WaDuke was nice and the food was really good. Obviously very expensive so I'd only go here every so often (or part of an event). Overall, it was a nice place, but if I wanted to spend lots of money on food I'd probably get food that is different than the food I already eat (i. E. Not American food).

Great service and atmosphere. Food was great except for the soup of the day, the tomato basil soup. I felt like I was eating a bowl of store marinara pasta sauce.

Warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent location close to I85, Duke Medical, Duke University, downtown Durham and more. Dinner and cocktails on the Bar patio has limited menu but excellent. Rooms are well thought and quiet.

Love their afternoon tea at Fairview Restaurant. One of my favorite places to chill in Durham is their balcony facing WaDuke fairview. Prices are also reasonable.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is extremely kind, and the food is good. The conference halls are fully equipped. A great experience!

I stopped by for a breakfast sandwich at the outdoor cafe and enjoyed the meal. I also walked around on the golf course a bit and would say that it was beautiful. Very relaxing to walk around and take in the beauty of nature.

Fantastic golf course and facility. The course is always in great condition and the practice areas are very nice. I only wish that they offered complimentary range balls for your round given the price they command per round. The course is challenging and beautiful. The clubhouse/hotel is extremely nice, when you are there you feel like you are part of an exclusive club. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful hotel with easy access to Fuqua and Duke campus overall. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice, although did not exceed expectation of price point. Ability to use locker room to change beforr headinf to the airport was great. Only criticism came from "express" breakfast service which was fairly expensive ($30 all in) for a granola parfait (underwhelming), coffee, juice, piece of fruit and warm breakfast bar (could only eat a few bites).

A good location for business meetings. Staff was friendly and snacks were plentiful. Acoustics in the meeting rooms could be better in my opinion.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The room was something special all the meals were excellent especially breakfast the buffet was delicious. Please go and enjoy yourself at this property you will not be disappointed.

Located within walking distance to Duke University, this Southern classic hotel had beautiful rooms, attentive staff, and a very nice golf course to boot. The bed was extremely comfortable, the Wi-Fi was reliable and free, and the valet helped me hail a taxi to the airport within 3 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Duke or downtown Durham.

A classy establishment inside and out. Impressed by the level of quality from the extra sized coffee mugs that are monogrammed to the cloth like individually folded and monogrammed hand towels in the bathroom. No scrimping on quality anywhere.

Stayed here for the last stop on our honeymoon and had an interesting stay, that was made wonderful by the staff. We stayed in the Mary Duke Biddle Suite, which is beautiful but modest. After three disturbances to our room from housekeeping and engineering (unrelated issues) we decided to order some room service. We had read great reviews but were quite underwhelmed by the food. We expressed our feelings to a staff member who had the manager call us to offer apologies, comp our meal, and bring us something else! The rest of our food was quite good and probably tasted better because of the excellent service we received. Would definitely stay again and recommend to all!

When checking out of the Washington Duke Inn, I filled out the response card and found myself writing in Superior for many of the categories! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, our stay at this beautiful, peaceful hotel was close to perfect. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath suite. The rooms are beautifully appointed, quiet, luxurious, and extremely comfortable. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Room service was always prompt and the food was excellent! We dined in the Bull Durham room and enjoyed an exceptional meal with excellent service. We had three generations in our two bedroom suite and all agreed we can't wait to go back! The Washington Duke Inn is at the top of our list for one of our best hotel stays we've experienced.
