The Hampton Inn is the same price but includes large room, coffee machine, breakfast to go, large bath towels, refrigerator and the room, pillows and bedding don’t smell of cigarette smoke even though we’re told it was a non smoking room.

Absolutely disgusting and so uncomfortable. We are a featured actor/company at a convention and we have to work hard all day. Would have been nice to be able to come back and get a good night of sleep but we couldn’t even do that. There was no coffee machine, refrigerator, or microwave in our room which thoroughly pissed me off. Just terrible. Horrible. Waste of money. And I will be letting EVERYONE know not to stay here. Also they only had two pillows on the bed. Which was not comfortable. The sheets smelled like sweat. The toilet was leaking and so was the shower and sink. This place needs new management for allowing people to stay in this filth. And after new management you need a whole new renovation. Just tear it down and start over. Also there was a very strong smell of weed on our floor. Yes everyone will know not to stay at this awful place. We had to stay here for two nights and I had two rooms. My crew and me are extremely dissatisfied and I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

Not worth the money. Spend a little more for a better room.

Our a. C. Was broken, bathroom was not clean, elevator smells like marijuana and the desk staff seems to not want to help. However for the price the room is ok.

This hotel is ok to stay for a night. Kinda dirty. The pool wasn't the cleanest and there were stains on the pillow cases.

You have been great to us while we have stayed here making sure we have everything we need an rooms are clean thank you all for the things you all do you all have some great employees.

Cheap place to lay your head for the night. Nothing overly fancy. Staff was VERY polite and respectful though.

Stay there every year, this year was disappointing. Was in the same room as I was in the past. There use to be a microwave and a mini fridge, this year neither were in there. There was a hole in the ceiling from what looks like a previous water leak. The rooms seemed to have lacked cleanliness. The pillows changed to all feather pillows which are to soft. Positive note the employees are amazing people.

Nice room but it smelled like a zoo in it! If it was not for the smell I would have given it 5 star's. Also more then just coffee would be nice for what I was told they had breakfast.

It’s okay. My biggest complaint really is cleanliness. The floors in the rooms are a faux wood laminate — which should be easy to keep clean. However, we accidentally spilled some water on the floor and wiped it up with a towel, and the towel turned almost black. Clearly they do not mop the floors regularly, which is what really needs to happen, especially in a pet friendly hotel. The floor even feels dirty on your bare feet when you walk on it — I suggest wearing flip flops or slippers. The other thing I really don’t understand is why they don’t leave shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom for guests to use. Just a bar of soap. They do have packets available at the front desk, but apparently they would rather inconvenience their customers — probably trying to save a few pennies by making their customers who really want it have to ask for it. I know it’s a budget hotel, but seriously. Just mop the floor and give us some shampoo.

It was a cheap room for 1 night while traveling through. But no shampoo in bathroom, only 2 towels in room, no continental breakfast. Bathroom had no ventilation fan. The bedspread has holes in it. The hallway smelled like cigarrete smoke. Wont never waste 58.00 again. Next time ill stay across the street or drive up a few exits.

Very big room, super big. Dirty towels, floor and toilet, noisy ac room unit and shower. Everywhere you stepped the shower creaked. Needs updating. But overall ok for the one night we needed.

Room was clean and had everything we needed. Front desk called after we were settled in our room to make sure everything was OK. We were looking for a room to spend the night and that is what we got at a good price. We didn't need a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, etc. We always check the amenities before making reservations.

We were passing through, this was not our first choice but best western and holiday inn express were out of rooms. Or only had smoking rooms. This is an outdated room. Smells dusty and with hints of smoke even though it says it's a non-smoking building. The suite we stayed in was very roomy though, my kids asked if I had rented a whole apartment, sadly it could use a little more dusting and washing of linens and table cloths; we found stains. The bathtub floor creaked all the while we were showering. But the price for the space wasn't too bad I guess. The size as we first walked in was very impressive, we found room after room after room, but the closer we looked at things we got disappointed.

Our floors were sticky, walls nasty, everything from the 2nd floor up including the elevator reeks of cigarette & pot smoke, there isn't any employee that addressed the many noise complaints we made and no one to enforce some type of common courtesy rule, so my entire family was kept awake by the LOUD partying all around us well after 2 am. We will NEVER stay in a Motel 6 EVER again due to this horrendous experience! The older man at the front desk when we checked in was very nice and that is why it gets 1 star. Honestly I think 1 whole star for this motel is entirely too much!

Room was clean. We arrived very late at almost 11 pm. It was good being expected. In the morning there was coffee in the lobby. The coffee was very good.

Not bad for the price. Clean enough & really good dog area out back with lightning bugs!

The guest service is terrific, the rooms are terrible. The rooms are not appealing to the eyes. When the toilet is flushed, it continuously fills the tank so you here water running until you get up an make an adjustment. The mattris is uncomfortable and the pillows become flat as paper when you put your head on them. The elevator going up and down sounds like it is going to fall apart because it makes a lot of noise going up and down.

Had loud neighbors. Room and staff were good. Definetly could use some work. No shampoo or conditioner fornthe bathroom? Weird smell to my room. Mainly couldn't sleep because of neighbors.

I only needed a bed and a bathroom for one night. Your hotel acceptably provided these to me.

We have always stayed at motel 6's, mainly because of the price and cleanliness. This past stay was not a good experience, mainly because we had a guest above us with two large dogs that kept us awake all night. Constant running and jumping on/off the bed. Too bad guests aren't more courteous of others. They should not be allowed to occupy rooms that are not on the ground floor.

I stayed in a non smoking room on a non smoking floor. The smell of cigarette smoke filled our bathroom very strongly, it was extremely unpleasant for us, we don't smoke and don't live with smokers so the smell is very bothersome and strong to us. I feel like is was the people next to us smoking. I saw them smoking outside while getting things from my car, and noticed they were staying in the room next to us with children. I'm thinking they probably stayed in a non smoking room for the sake of the kids but when the rain was a heavy downpour they couldn't be bothered to go outside to smoke and smoked in their bathroom to which the smell came in our air vent. It was disgusting! Also, the bed sheets come off the mattress with ease and there was no mattress cover or anything so it felt dirty to lay on thin sheets and have them come off while rolling over in bed and be laying on a mattress that a lot of other people have laid on. The bath tub in our room did not drain well and puddled during a shower. I would not stay here again. I was very disappointed.

Im an employed I love this motel front desk staff are friendly and housekeeping is what I do we give the guest what they need and always with a smile and friendly hello and good byes always welcome you to come back come stay with us we will be waiting and leave the light on.

Very disappointed in this experience. The rooms was… a room. But the staff! Horrible. The maid swore at us, using explicit language, and told us to "go home". The desk clerk followed us down the hallway to our hotel room and was excessively rude, looking for an argument with us. Not pet friendly at all! I will never stay here again.

Our room was very clean ample size for 2 adults and 3 small children. Linens were clean not stained. Very nice experience!

Floor was so sticky I laid the top blankets on the floor so I could walk without my feet sticking to floor. Rest of room was rather dirty as well, stains all over walls from spills. Could use a good cleaning. At least a mop.

For the most part it was Okay. The only issues were that the walls are "paper thin" you can hear everything in the next rooms or in the hallways. And the uncontrollable crying baby for 3 days straight through the night. But besides that it was comfy.

Dead flies and stink bugs in the room. The bathroom door wouldn't shut. The room was 55 degrees when we went in. The worst part was hair on the sheets. Would never enter this building again and wouldn't recommend anyone else did either.

Our non-smoking room wreaked of smoke. The walls are paper thin, and we were placed by the elevator on what seemed to be the party floor. The beds squeaked every time you moved. I will pay more to stay in a nicer motel next time around.

It is clean and budget friendly. The rooms are basic and no free breakfast, no pool. The rooms are all inside the hotel.

Great quality for a low price. Staff was friendly while we were checking in, and we've had no problems.

I've stayed at this location many times on my way to my annual stay in Myrtle Beach. This time I was very disappointed in the smell of smoke in the hallway and my room. This is even though I was staying in a smoke free room. I left the next day with my clothes and belongings reeking of smoke. I really like stopping at this location, so I hope this problem can be remedied.

Pillows — well there is only one little one. The room is very nice, bed was very comfortable. Great for the price.

I stayed here last week. Unfortunately I didnt look at the reviews til after I payed to stay. All these reviews are right. The place smelt bad and they have signs everywhere, that say no smoking. But it smells like people smoke the place out. Stains on comforters and hairs on the sheets. I would fire the housekeeping and get better help. There were stains on the towels as well. No mini shampoos or conditioners and no blow dryer. Luckily I had all that, but some people rely on that, so I figured I would let it be known. It was disgusting and I wont go back.

Nasty rooms, checked in one room pulled the covers back and there was a bunch of crusty (I'll let you use your imagination) on the sheets. They then out us into another room. We got in the room pulled the covers back and the pillow was full of hair and grindgy. You can see stains on the pillow and hair on top of it. Not just strands but like someone brushed their hair and a lot of strands came out. Disgusting! Tom at the desk was nice and very embarrassed. I felt bad for him.

We had a great time. We will most likely stay again. I do wish you had even a continential breakfast that would be nice, but the coffee was good. Thank you.

I booked this room for my mother (a local) who's air conditioning had gone out and she needed a safe place to cool off with her beloved pug Maggie (pugs are extremely sensitive to heat so it was borderline emergency with a house hitting in the high 80's). I live over in Nashville and this was the best I could do to help her. I spent most of my life in Newport and worked at a few local hotels and know most have a policy to try and not to rent to locals, they generally try to not do any favors. When I called I heard the hesitation in Tom's voice but he still helped me. He picked a great room for her that met her needs. He had amazing customer service and was extremely professional over the phone. He took the time to help me book the room for her made multiple calls when he received the reservation and didn't allow her to pay as requested he kept in communication with me until she got there, My mom said when she got there he greeted her with a warm smile. I know Maggie and mom were thankful to have a cool place to sleep and I was grateful Tom took such great care of her. Thankyou!

First time staying at a Motel 6 on our way back from Myrtle Beach. I wasn't impressed. The room door was very difficult to open and looked like the lock had been messed with before, the room was dark and depressing. The beds made a rusty squeaking sound every time someone moved (2 adults 2 kids) and the mattresses were very thin. The A/C was built into some type of closet and you could hear condensation dripping onto the floor the whole night. The side doors to the hotel couldn't be opened from the outside so you had to carry your luggage in thru the front of the hotel and down the hallway (our room was on the side of the hotel) or have someone go around the hotel and thru the lobby and then open the door and hold it open. Next to the side door was a plastic tub filled with molding towels and garbage. Definitely wasn't worth the $55 plus tax we spent on it. Can stay somewhere much nicer for very little more and have a much nicer room with a coffee pot and at least a continental breakfast.

I did not expect much from this place but it was a pleasant surprise. I HATE many of the hotels in Newport so this was an improvement. All basic needs met. It was clean and comfortable. All we needed was a bed for the night.

The staff (Tom) was friendly. However the guest laundry room was not, it had one working washer, the dryers were making very loud noises and cigarette butts on the floor. The whole second floor including the elevator reek of cigarette smoke.

The building itself could use a little TLC. The desk clerk "Tom" was real nice, helpful and quick. The rooms could use a little more attention to detail in the cleanliness. The tub had been repaired poorly and had looked to be rust stains on the side. The air conditioner didn't work properly. The floor felt dirty and sticky to my feet. Now all of this could be looked over — however the beds — omg. They felt damp, dirty and just couldn't get a good night sleep. I actually put a personal blanket over my pillow so that I could get a little rest. Need new beds and linens. Asap. Nice location and looked to be a nice town. Please update and clean as I know like myself, we depend on Motel 6 for lodging with our fur babies.

First of all as soon as you walk into the lobby you can look up and see the is an old drop ceiling with water damage. The entire building smells a bit musty but, after you go in the elevator it smells very strongly of cigarette smoke. The tile in the lobby and elevator is quite dirty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a decade. When you get to your room you will notice that you can hear your neighbors a bit too well. The walls of the rooms are very dirty with gross smudges all over them along with peeling paint. The bathroom is horrible. There is no hairdryer, shampoo or conditioner. Only two bars of soap. And all the towels have stains. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money to get a nice hotel such as Hampton. Although I suppose you get what you pay for and this hotel is good if need a place to stay for cheap.

Price was right, just needed coffee pot, microwave, and fridge in room. If it had that I would have stayed 3 nights insted of one. And a contenential breakfast would b nice also… it did look as if they were in the proscess of up grading. Nice cozy, room comfortable beds…

We recently stayed at the Motel 6 in Newport and found it to be very basic and clean. We were only staying overnight because we were traveling so it met our needs. The desk person was friendly and helpful for dinner suggestions.

I have not stayed at the Motel 6 in Newport. I only went to visit a friend that was staying there, but I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room they were staying in. It was a smaller room, but it was cozy. I think they really enjoyed staying there.

We stopped for the night in Newport for the second time as we traveled to NC & SC. We like the cleanliness and pricing. Tom the night man at the desk is very friendly and helpful.

Loved the shower. Comfortable bed. Near the highway and restaraunts. Central entryway. I'll use it on my next trip south.

Where should I start! The main reason we stayed there cause we had two chihuahuas with us. But I had to call the front desk to inform them there was pubic hairs on the sheets when I pulled the blankets back. Sad not on one bed but both. The manager then brought other sheets and blankets. Figuring he would change them. Nope he just told me to leave the dirty ones in the hallway. Yeah I would have changed rooms but all the smoking rooms were full. It was the next morning we got up the pup pulled a sock 3 cigarette packs and then I saw a green round pill the pup had found under there. I got it from her. I was hoping I got it away in time. Yeah it ruined my trip! My first time to meet my first grandson ruined! I had to spend more time with the pup instead of with my grandson. For all the Hassel of the stay I got a discount of $6.00. Yes I called the hotel and got blown off. I wouldn't suggest this nasty place at all. There's no zero stars or I would have gave them a negative 10

This budget motel is located on Heritage Blvd of I-40 and is bare bones as they come. If you're looking for only a bed and 4 walls with a little AC then this place is for you. There are snack machines passed the lobby. Only 2 ice machines each on the first 2 floors. They only provide coffee in the AM in the lobby. The elevator makes you feel like you could get stuck any minute. The carpet in the common areas really need a stream cleaning. The tile in the elevator needs a good mopping and since the second floor is smoking it all enters the elevator shaft. They do allow pets though. Rooms appears well cleaned and haven't found any issues with it yet other than the wall by the AC has Chuck's of stucco coming off.

It was meh. I mean, it was ok for us… but our poor neighbors were on hold with "customer service" for close to 2 hours because their door wouldn't lock and there was no glass in the peephole. The man at the desk really didn't care and just gave them the number. It was kind of sad. The beds were kind of hard. The pool was ok, but the hot tub was closed for repair.

Is there an option for ZERO stars? I would be ashamed to say I work at this hotel. Made reservations online and checked in to find that bed sheets were dirty on not only the first room I was sent to but also the second. Public areas were filthy. Elevator was filthy. Pool was filthy. There is NO EXCUSE for such laziness in what could be a nice Hotel but clearly isn't! Needless to say my stay at this location lasted less than 20 minutes.

We stopped at this hotel because is was close to the interstate that we were traveling on. My kids were thrilled when they found out there was a pool at the location. We were checked in by a very nice man who later checked to make sure that the pool facility was to our liking. In the morning at check-out the young man at the counter was also helpful and friendly.

It was dirty, stinky of cigarettes. We don't recommend. The only good thing I can say is that the staff was friendly.

HORRIBLE! The mattresses was worn out! The maid wouldn't clean the room if you had the sign on the door. They DID NOT CLEAN THE POOL! They had a hot tub but it was broken! Every person that walked in had a dog, cat, or some kind of animal! ITS VERY LOUD BECAUSE OF THE ANIMALS! The rooms are NASTY! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone! The rooms stink like animals! The "Wi-Fi" sucks ain't even got good connection! The rooms were also TINY!

This place absolutely reeks of cigarette smoke! The hallways, the elevator, even our nonsmoking room smelled so bad I almost slept in the car. Unless you love the smell of an ashtray, I suggest finding anyplace else to stay.

Just needed to rest and shower. Not too expensive. Perfect if you're traveling and want to save money. Rooms are moderate.

On the phone for 20 minutes trying to speak to someone. Kept getting hung up on. When I arrived, I was checked into a room that was already occupied. Very unprofessional.

Rooms are entirely to small maybe 150 sqft the queen size bed felt like a double and there is no insulation so you hear everything the people next to u are doing would not stay here again.

My daughter and I were "winging it" and trying to get an early start on our trip to Gatlinburg and got lucky with this Motel 6! We called about an hour ahead of time and the front desk clerk Tom was extremely helpful. He informed me that the only room he had available with 2 beds was a suite which was perfectly fine with me! The room was HUGE! 2 full bed rooms, living room and a full kitchen! I was informed later that it was the only room in the hotel like it and was built for the manager to stay in. We were only there for one night but I could have felt comfortable living in there. Felt like a home away from home! To be fair, the hotel is a bit dated but all in all it exceeded my expectations!

Free Wi-Fi is a good speed. No one was at the desk when we arrived. The display outside says $39.99 and then we were charged $49.99, the price posted inside. The towels are small and few in our room with two full beds, and water pressure is funny. No toiletries in the room (which I don't care about, but you might. ) Chair back fell apart when used to lift the chair (we put it back together ok. ) CRT televisions. There's a cinema in walking distances with shows at 5 and 8 and four wide release films.

Definitely a pleasant surprise after a long day of driving. Friendly front desk staff a a great price. Clean room and a comfy bed. Well done.

The staff was very courteous. It was a safe stop, not too far from the highway. It is clean, with a comfortable bed. It was surprisingly very clean and quiet. I would book again if needed. Don't let the economical price cast a shadow over how safe or clean this place is. I travel a lot for business and can't always stop at the most expensive or lavish locations. I was driving through Newport after a 10 hrs drive with 7 more to go. Decided I needed stop. I was about 30 minutes away from this location. I called and was treated very courteously over the phone and equally as courteously when I arrived.

Not a bad place. Got in late with a 4yr. Old. Temp kept going up so I went to the front desk and of course he could only move us. Not a good option. How about fixing the AC. Our at least fixing the noise from the AC desk clerk was Less than carrying.
