Nicely appointed rooms with a modern appeal. Coffee hot and ready before 5 am and a very helpful staff. Beds were comfortable and I felt very much at home.

Nice clean rooms that don't break your pockets like Myrtle Beach.

The location felt unsafe. There was a lot of suspicious activity in the parking lot. There are signs warning that they are not responsible for items left in vehicles, which set off red flags upon arrival. The room itself was basic, but livable. I was just glad to be driving away safely with all items in tow.

The room stank of mold and mildew as did the soap smelled horrible. No shampoo or conditioner was provided. The sheets were not clean, they smelled of having been slept on the night before. Had it not been for my need to house me and my child at 11pm at night, I would have rather slept in my car. I did not bother complaining to staff as it was so late and my child needed to get to sleep. I'd rather spend $5-10 more and stayed at any neighboring hotel option. I was so disappointed and disgusted.

Our room was small, but clean. Bed was very comfortable. A/C was pretty noisy. Nice that there were both a small refrigerator & a microwave. We couldn't use the desk as there was a TV sitting on it instead of being mounted to the wall. Loved that there was an ice machine and coffee in the morning. But no water fountain! Good location and good price.

I was suppose to have a King Size bed but instead it was a Queen. I know what a King Size bed is. But other wise my stay was comfortable. Also was shocked to see hardwood floors. Also was shocked that 4 cars of police came up. Don't know if I will stay there again. But if I ever had a 2nd choice it would be it. The staff were fine. And even understanding.

Bethany and madison are awesome and sweet sweet ladies! Don’t let them leave! I enjoyed my stay… all but the smell of smoke but it didn’t really bother me. Pet friendly which I loved because I had my dog with me too ill be back again soon.

This was a very nice hotel. The prices were really good, and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was updated and the room were nice, the only problem I had was the smoke smell. Other than that I would recommend to anyone. The staff was wonderful, the front desk lady madison was very helpful and friendly. Im definitely coming back.

Our air conditioner stopped working in our room. We called the front desk & informed the clerk. Instead of just being pleasant & offering us another room he came to our room & argued that it was working but that's as cool as it was going to get & all rooms were going to be like that. It only got to 76°! After insulting us he finally moved us & guess what… that ac actually got cooler than 76°! Also, there is no elevator, no convenient way to enter the building that would maybe be closer to your room. We smelled marijuana ALL 3 days we were there! STRONG! Complained & nothing done about it! And this is supposed to be a smoke free facility! I assumed that also means marijuana! The only picnic area had dog poop everywhere even though there were signs posted to pick it up! Staff should pick it up if the guests are not going to. Overall this place was NOT a hotel I'd stay at again.

I'm not sure what anyone is talking about with the positive reviews here because I know that sometimes the owners make false IDs and post false reviews to boost their business. Maybe their reviews are real but as a 5 yr customer I can say that I started having problems I never had before. I asked at the front desk expecting to see Miss Anita or Shana or Brandi, Miss Barbara in housekeeping to handle things, and I found out that they had gone. (I think miss Barbara was there but can't do anything) I experienced people smoking pot and hanging out in the lobby. I understand things happen that a business can't control. But once you report it, I feel as if it needs to be taken care of. There are homeless people that sit in the lobby and if you say anything to the new owner, he just smiles and laugh and asks what is the problem. One of the homeless people were laughing and telling me how they think he looks like jesus and his girlfriend (I guess) was sitting at the table looking drugged out. I decided not to stay there and went next door. As I told the desk clerk to cancel my stay, A guy came out and started fussing at me for canceling my stay. I have no idea what the hell he was so mad about. So as I said, I don't know about other peoples reviews, and why they are so "happy" with this place. But it has a new owner, and new rules. The way it used to be is no longer the way it is. I guess It's now a make money fast place as they have gone UP on their rates and offer less.

They spent more money on the lobby, tablet, digital at checkin, than the rooms. Horrible hard bed, noisy, 2 "postage stamp cheap size"bath towel, any Motel6 in the country puts 4 in a room. TV great great lone-up, great HD picture, bad remote setup. Have to press maybe 60 channels, ONE BY ONE to find your show, lol! No TV guide on paper or remote. Good luck Back parking lot had lots of cars parked. Chattin, talking, were not guests there… park towards the front enterance. Wpuld not stay here.

Just stayed their for 4 days. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Very clean and the people were very nice. It’s a place I would recommend.

The staff was quite attentive and the room was clean. The hallway did smell of marijuana on some nights, but it did not come into the room. Also, the noise level could be loud from neighboring rooms but turning on the AC unit provided a good buffer. The shower had great temperature and water pressure.

While I cannot blame the hotel owner or manager for my bad night as it was largely due to the occupant of the next room who would knock on the wall pretty much the entire night. A couple of times I banged back and then it would stop for about 20-30 minutes before starting back again. Door bolt was broken so I didn't feel entirely safe. That did not help either. Room was clean. Most of my stays at Motel 6 have been satisfactory.

Just killed a Roach in my room… Staff friendly… Also had front desk knocking on my door cause other ppl complaining bout (420) smell lol it's all good here though… Enjoyed my 2nights here a lil mini stay-cation away from the kids! Well needed! Also nice lake walking distance to take that lil smoke walk!

Decent cheap hotel. Skip the coffee its horrible. Decently clean. I found a few stray hairs but nothing major. Staff was friendly.

Under new management, new staff, nice and quiet, NON SMOKING, pet friendly, strict upholding to policies, reasonably priced clean rooms.

I stay in a lot of budget motels and for some reason many of them are clean except for the bathroom walls. The bathroom walls in my room were disgusting, nasty. Can't they take a few minutes and wash them? The rest of the room was fine.

Please bring back the general manager Anita. Been staying here once a week for the past 8 years. This place is going down fast prices are sky rocketing. Gotta find another motel. Not worth 73 dollars a night. Every time's come the parking lot is more emptier. Bring back Anita fast.

Decent stop for an overnight on a road trip. Pros… Friendly staff, clean room, and no pet fee. Cons. Minimal parking for travel trailers… and no shampoo or conditioner. The front desk clerk directed me to a vending machine where she said there was shampoo and conditioner available for purchase. However, the vending machine did not have anything but detergent and toothpaste.

Very clean rooms, quiet, low price, staff very friendly. Love the no extra for pets.!

It's garbage. Staff is near incompetent. No check in is ever the same. Cops are here at least once a week. Rooms are not clean. Occasional bugs in rooms. Water pressure and heat are different in every room. If it wasn't for the price I would never stay here again.

It was a all right place my Queen an I stayed the weekend there once. Nice, Clean rooms. Free coffee in the morning in case you drank to much. Gas station is very close as well as many different places to get something to eat. The only downside you can't smoke in the rooms.

My husband was hospitalized and died 12 days later. The staff could not have been more helpful! Rooms were cleaner than some higher priced places we had stayed. I usually traveled with my husband when his job took him away from home. This time I had doctors appointments in our home town. After collapsing at work he was hospitalized. I am disabled (wheelchair bound), but I was able to go to him. If you ever want to stay in an affordable, clean, secure location this place is great and pet friendly.

We always stay here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Never any issues with checking in. The lady who checked us in Saturday night was also very friendlly. We do recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting the area.

Very clean environment. Greeted by Brandee at the front desk with excellent service! Would most definitely recommend.

The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. That said, this place is beyond budget friendly. It's very very shabby and dirty on the inside. All of the furniture in the room was old and stained in rough ways. The bathroom was old and dirtier than my standards. The lobby is dark and uninviting. The hallways smell like something unpleasant. I feel like this might be a place for section 8 housing. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just may not be what ypu want if you pop off the road and need a room. I want to reiterate, however, that the staff is super helpful and nice.

Stayed there last week and had a wonderful time. Clean room and great Wi-Fi. Brandee was the desk clerk and she was an absolute pleasure. She answered all of my questions and offered to help with anything I needed.

I had an issue and no manager to help me with it. The person at the front desk kept walking out to smoke, and gave me incorrect information. When the manager got back in town the next week she was unwilling to accommodate me for a mistake I had made, which I can certainly understand—but she was VERY RUDE about it. So because of how rude she was being I said—well, because your original staff was unable to help me, and you are being rude I am going to write a bad review. And she actually said:” Go ahead and write a bad review—you’re obviously a bad guest. ” (I never actually got to stay here, the problem was with booking) And then hung up the phone! lol…unbelievably bad…don’t give your business to these people…the person that runs this place is comically rude.

It appeared to be a place with prostitution was an acceptable practice with clients and girls running to and from the parking lot. Smoking is prohibited but there were always 3 to 4 people smoking at the outside entrance to the motel. We were avoided an approach by a stranger in the hall and then had a knock on the door later that we did not answer. Dogs barked in hallway to late at night. Smoke alarms went off in hallway and we were called to see if we were smoking. Smoke was detectable in the stairways and they were aerating with doors open. We awoke early and left.

The front desk clerk was very friendly, but the motel wasn't that great. The lobby smelled horrible. It was musty like unwashed persons had been there hanging out for a long time and the upstairs didn't smell much better. The hallway carpets were all stained up, but in all fairness being replaced when we left. I don't have pets but they are pet friendly…

Love this hotel! I was very weary about staying here with it being a "Motel 6" but I was highly pleased! The rooms are clean and very eye pleasing, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. All the ladies up front are great and very nice! If you're in the area and looking for somewhere nice and cheap I highly suggest checking this out!

No elevator. Rooms very bad shape. Can't believe Motel6 has fallen so far lately. Used to be consistent clean or they would pull the name/franchise. Not anymore.

MUCH better than the higher priced Days Inn across rthe street and $20 cheaper! Courteous, personable staff who actually WANT you to have a good stay and no stinky halls and rooms.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Hallways smell like smoke. Place is disgusting. The people that hang around are shady & people are running around & slamming doors all through the night. Not to mention all the dogs I heard barking through out the night in the hotel. Also people smoking meth or something in a glass pipe in the stairway. Don't stay here.

Clean, inexpensive. Bed was terrible. Friendly personnel. Lots of people "hanging around" in the lobby and right outside the hotel. Didn't feel safe at all. Quiet heating/cooling unit (which was a really pleasant surprise). But all in all, even tho I am retired and trying to save $, next time I am in the area I will spend more $ for a better hotel.

My favorite Motel. I don't travel much anymore since retiring, but do go up to Gastonia every year to see family and place flowers on my Mothers grave. I always stay at this motel. The staff have always been very friendly and my dog is welcomed, so I feel at home as does she. Close to many restaurants and that is a plus as well — especially love breakfast at Pancake House 1/2 mile away.

The location is terribly inconvenient, located on a hill off the road behind a nicer competing hotel. The rooms are dirty, the pillows are tiny, and blankets are ripped and have cigarette burns. There is no coffee maker or ice in the room. We had to ask for towels, and were told that there were no clean towels so we had to wait for a towel. The towels were also tiny, basically a washcloth. The phone in the room looks 30 years old, there are no inputs on the TV for game systems, the Wi-Fi might as well not even exist because it won't even load a single website much less download anything. Did I mention that the door won't lock right and the keycard scanners are almost falling off? Well, at least the bathroom is big. Go somewhere nicer.

Did not have a single problem with this hotel. I brought along my dog and they allow pets and didn't even require a pet deposit. The room was very nice and clean and had hardwood floors. I enjoyed my stay there. I didn't have any problems. The room attendants were very friendly and kept the place clean. I would definitely return.

We had a pleasant experience clean room beds clean staff helpful, oddly no shampoo though.

We stayed for 8 days; me, my wife and our 4 dogs. We had 2 rooms. The staff was terrific in assisting us with places to go and things to do and accurate directions to get there (Dog Bar, pet friendly drive-in movie theater, Sun City, Shelby and Rock Hill). The housekeeping staff kept everything neat and clean every day of our stay. The rugs had a damp smell but the hotel was undergoing renovations. I hope the rugs are removed. The rooms were comfortable and the discount from AARP was a nice added bonus. We were very pleased with our visit to Motel 6 in Gastonia, NC.

This was the worst motel I have ever been to. I got to the room and turned around and walked out because it was so disgusting. Holes and yellow stains on the walls, huge stain on the bed cover, the sink was clogged, and it smelled terrible. The worst part about it, they wouldn't give me a refund on the spot. I have to wait to talk to a manager the next day. I then asked for the key back so I could take pictures for proof and get a proof of refund and this was apparently a crazy idea to the front desk person. She told me the manager never goes back on her word and that should be good enough. When she called the manager she started talking about me like I wasn't standing right in front of her. After she threatened to call the police, I called the Guest Services line and they sent me an email saying the money would be refunded. Now, was it that hard? All I wanted was written proof, not someone that I don't knows word. This motel must be run by the government because there was no delay in taking my money, but getting it back.

You get no towels changed they don't vacuum as soon as I got in the motel my feet was black from it no sheets get changed when you stay a week they have no ice and won't fix it and the manger will never call you back and the motel is not a Chang motel pervert owned so no good.
