Shawn Patel, & Staff, hands down are the best.

The first morning going down for breakfast the Mexican staffs entire family came in to eat so paying guest could get there free hot breakfast but had to stand to eat. I had to stand with my 4 year old child just to eat. When I went to the front desk the young Mexican girls working we're teenagers and two 20s boys and they were yelling and laughing. I had to wait for them to finish their conversation about what they were doing later with the boys before they even came to see what I needed. When it came time for housekeeping to come through, the Mexican housekeeper had her boyfriend an her 2 kids with her coming into rooms and helping her clean. As if it's the entire staff are related so they kind of just run around the hotel doing whatever they want letting their children run though staff rooms and behind the front desk. It was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I never felt so ignored or out of place in my life. Oh and don't ask for extra clean bath towels they will give you tiny hand towels. I was there for 3 days so I was able to pick up quickly how things are run there. Like I said it's 2-3 Mexican woman who are employed there, then they bring in there ENTIRE family to help them clean cook ect. It's very crowded with staff family members running around everywhere and paying guest feel more like an intrudor in their home.

The rooms are nice and comfortable… Excellent service from the General Manager Shawn Patel and the front desk clerk Barbara… I would recommend this hotel to all travelers.

Check in was par. Went to room and was a musty smell. All I could smell was weed as the evening went on. Management was non-existent. Burnout contest in the back parking lot while people partied out back. Not safe at all. I will sleep in my car before I go back to this place. Finally after no help from management or coroprate I had to call the cops myself. Total waste of money. The maroon firebird was the car doing the burnouts and in the corner was where the party was.

Really nice place n staff. Breakfast was awesome n free. Fresh Cinnamon roll waffles, eggs n sausage, ok n cranberry juices n more! The pool was perfect after a long hike at the zoo. The exercise room was really nice to get me going the next morning after a huge breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. Thanks.

Stayed here for two nights with my service dog and had the front desk call harassing me saying the my dog barked all night when she didn’t then they called harrassing my saying that the dog barked all day when the dog was not there it was out with me. This is truly the worst treatment I have ever had with my dog they just truly don’t like service dogs or people with disabilities will never stay there again.

I am writing this as it is fresh. Absolute worse customer service I have experienced at a hotel. Booked the room. Moved our elderly grandma into said room and immediately found evidence of bedbugs. My wife went to the desk to cancel the room and request a refund. The elder woman immediately left without any indication of what she was doing. Leaving my spouse standing at the desk. After getting our grandma back in the car and getting myself to the front desk, she came back. Says she sees no evidence and is outright nasty about it. Does not believe us, will not give us our money back, she checked the room, cleaning crew did not report and we should of took a picture of said bedbugs. I quite frankly took exception to this and requested a trip back to the room with me. Showed the black spots on the sheets, woman is still arguing with me until we found a live bug. I had to argue with her to allow me to take an "evidence" picture (attached). As of now we still to not have a refund as the initial payment was in a pending state and we moved to Fairfield down the road.

We have really enjoyed our stay here. It is very easy to find. The facilities and room are very clean. The breakfast has good variety. The staff here have all been nice and friendly. When you check in they ask you what brings you to Asheboro. For us it was the zoo. They offered tips and things that are a must for the zoo and they even gave us a coupon for the zoo tickets! Once we came back they remembered what our plans where and asked how they went. It is so nice to go somewhere that you know that they care about their guest. Thanks for the awesome stay!

I’m traveling across the country & I stopped here last night at 3am & checked out at 11:30am. They kept my 100 deposit for smoking in the room when I don’t even smoke my boyfriend does, but he went outside which was only twice. I’m with my two kids too, so obviously he wouldn’t be smoking in a non smoking room. Never again will I ever stay at another comfort inn. The manager Shawn Patel was no help & basically stole my money.

Beautiful, clean, modern room. Shower/bath was amazing, new granite walls, love the design in bathroom. Really comfortable beds. Very very friendly and helpful staff. Plan on staying here again!

The + room was clean breakfast was great. The — water pressure in bathroom could be better when taking a shower.

I was traveling for work. Hotel was clean and within budget. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Room was nice. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great! Just wish they had elevators, it's a pain when you're on the 2nd floor having to carry bags and a 1 year old up /down stairs.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Room was nice and clean with no issues. Enjoyed a good night's rest!

We are Choice members and frequent many hotels each year. We stay at a Choice Hotel weekly and always enjoy our stay. However, this hotels policies are ridiculous. We went to the front desk to ask for an extra washcloth and towel and was told that we had to bring the dirty ones to the desk before allowing us to receive the towels. The desk clerk was very rude and this was very embarrassing because there were several patrons still waiting for their rooms. This was around 9:00 pm when all rooms should have been ready. We asked for the manager and was told he was not available and because it was the weekend Mr Shawn Patel would not be available to us. We are not teenagers and have no desire to steal a washcloth. When two people rent a room, normally more than two towels are provided when requested. Needless to say, we will never visit the Comfort Inn in Ashboro again. Tried to post less than one star but was not able.

Comfy… reliable… hassle free… and complimentary BEER and breakfast!

I tried to make the best of it. Worst comfort inn I've ever been in. Bathroom hardly has room to close the door behind you. Walls are paper thin. If anyone is awake nearby, so are you. For 2 days I turned the TV on to drown out my neighbors conversations. 3rd day the cable was out all over so I heard them non stop. They weren't loud mind you. Just regular conversations. Will never stay at this location again.

Accessible to many restaurants and shopping centers. In the best location for the asheboro area, the closer you get to town the more traffic you get into. Don't waste your time going to another hotel the comfort inn is perfect.

Very nice, recently redone rooms. Good quality furniture, bed, tv, etc. Breakfast was great and the staff were extra friendly.

Good stay. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were clean but seemed a little congested.

The night staff was great. Day staff not so much, snappy and rude mostly. The bath tub had dog hair all in it. Way to expensive for what we got. Love comfort inns usually. Very very disapointed!

Clean quiet cozy perfect.

At over 150.00 you should be able to open an close the bathroom door without lifting the toliet seat… even after they shaved apart of the door away!

Odd location on road. Room was dirty, specifically the carpet needed to be vacuumed. Door to bathroom hit toilet when opening, dirty floor in bathroom. Clogged toilet in room and front desk made us fix it. Smoke detector low battery sound went off and we alerted front desk and they said we had to fix it ourselves. We left it and alerted them again at checkout because we were not going to touch it. Uncomfortable beds. Curtains let in too much light. No elevator and scummy pool. Crazy lady in lobby /parking lot seemed to be on drugs approached me in parking lot. Made us uneasy about our stay, felt like she was going to break into our car. Breakfast was decent. Will NEVER stay here again though.

The hotel and room was very clean and kept up-to-date. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was above average. Easily one of the best economy hotels I have stayed at.

Well it was ok, hallways needs improvement. What I failed to realize there is NO ELEVATOR. I think it states that on website. Which was fine for me even though I had 3 kids with me. My daughter on the other hand was upset, but she didn't carry her own luggage her husband did. Lol. The breakfast was great, the coffee was wonderful. Kids enjoyed the waffles.

Great place to stay! Clean, updated and great service. Have stayed twice now and both times nothing but good! Staff is wonderful!

I really don't see how this place had any high reviews. My check-in time was a nightmare along with a few others. We had to wait over 30 mins for a room. One guy said he had to wait over an hour. When we finally got a room it was musty smelling. Floors had stains on them. Holes and stains on the blankets and sheets. Holes in the towels and badly renovated overall. The ceiling and bathtub were poorly remodeled. This place is way too overpriced for what it's worth. I will never be returning.

Very quite and pleasant motel. The gm Shawn is very kind and reliable person.

A nice pit stop close to the North Carolina Zoo. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast spread was delicious.

I stayed here while in town for a business trip. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were adequate. It is not super fancy but it was convenient and I would stay here again if on business.

UPDATE After disputing charges and no help from Choice Hotels. My bank received a picture of a coke bottle in a trash can with cigarillos inside! I guess this was the smoking we did with the marijuana? You have got to be kidding me! It was a laugh on both ends on how pathetic measures went to this. Oh well, the $150 would have been a daily Target run. All I can recommend is to NOT stay here. The management and front desk are a joke, on the outside it looks slummy, inside is terrifying and REEKS of smoke, and law enforcement recommended to never stay there. It was my first time at a choice hotel and it will be the last. It's not worth the hassle and upgrading to a 3-5 star hotel puts us with much ease. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! I know choices are limited because it is Asheboro but I would recommend the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express down the street. My husband and I and our two dogs made a trip to Asheboro, NC for a small reunion. We checked in on 11/7 and checked out on 11/8. During our stay, the overall energy and look of the hotel was somewhat unpleasant. Not to the mention the front desk telling me that she didn't like any dogs except for hers. It was a strange encounter but I knew we would only be staying for one night, so I wasn't worried. When we checked out on 11/8, I cancelled our reservations for December because I made other arrangements with much nicer and reputable hotel in the area.

We like it because it is pet friendly. However, it cost over 170 dollars for our one night stay. Granted, it was 4th of July weekend, but still. The room was okay. However water pressure was very lacking. For the price we paid, that annoyed me the most.

Made the reservation online, a king size NON-SMOKING room. The hallway smelled of smoke and the room was bad with a strong smell, I think they put sheets and blankets and comforters from smoking rooms in non-smoking rooms. The beds comfortable. After returning home we realized we had left a pillow and called to see if they had found it, they did and then asked when we would be by to pick it up. We live 2.5 hours away and the first response they should have given us is Yes sir we will get that sent back to you right away. I wear a cpap machine with oxygen and since returning home I still have the hotel smell (smoke) in my face at night when I turn the machine on. They really need to deep clean this hotel to make it more appealing.

Place looks amazing from the outside and even better from the inside. Front desk staff is very professional and very courteous and the rest of the staff goes beyond what you could ever ask. Whenever I had family come in I will tell them to stay here.

The hotel was decent. Clean enough and felt safe. Our nonsmoking room, however, had a slightly smoky smell but not enough to bother us. We did notify the staff and they made a note. They informed me some rooms were recently transitioned. Breakfast was awesome, staff great. Overall great stay.

Beds were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with a great shower. Plenty of lighting and outlets for charging including usb charging ports by the beds. TV was all digital and included a guide which you don't find in very many hotels. Ice machine wasn't working but plenty of ice was available from the front desk. The Wi-Fi was almost unusable. Would usually get around 1mbps down and 0.10 mbps up. Also the room was on the second floor with no elevator, making it difficult to carry heavy luggage to and from our room.

We got a good price on a two queen room. They were accommodating with supplying an extra blanket. They could use some updates and minor repairs on the ceilings in the bathroom. All in all, a good room for the price.

It is adequate for the price. Right off the highway and important to note that there is no elevator for the second floor. The rooms were clean and they had a nice breakfast.

I always enjoy staying at Comfort Inn. No matter what city I am in I always choose Comfort Inn. They have very friendly staff and the rooms were very nice and comfortable.

My family and our German Shepard Jake stayed at the comfort inn over the weekend. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was so nice. We took our son to the zoo and had concerns about leaving our beloved dog behind. We spoke with the manager who was so nice, he offered to take Jake for a walk and check on him. I cant tell you how much we appreciate that. Front desk also gave us some zoo discount passes so that helped a little to. The breakfast was the biggest iv seen for a hotel by far and my son really enjoyed the teddy bear waffles. When we came back from the zoo the staff had a donut station set up. We made fresh mini donuts and my son piled on the sprinkles. Fresh hot mini donuts are amazing. You can tell the manager does a great job because his staff is so happy happy happy.

During our trip back to Nashville, I checked our bank statement and noticed an additional $150 charged from Comfort Inn. I immediately contacted the the hotel and asked about the charge and they said it was a smoking damage fee. I stated that we did not smoke in our room but she said she couldn't help me back it was only her there. She told me that I would need to contact the manager in the morning. Huge red flag, general customer service would always get the consumer contact information and have the manager contact them. On 11/9 I contacted the hotel and the front desk told me the manager was in the hallway and to call back in 25 minutes. I was frustrated again. I called the Choice Hotels customer care and spoke with a representative. He then told me he would file a complaint but it was up to the manager to reimburse the charges or not. I then called the hotel to try for the manager again.

I Enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The staff always seem to have a great additude and the rooms seem so nice and relaxing. This was an absolute experience for me and the family.

Nothing special however it wasnt bad. There is no elevator for the 2nd floor so u have to carry bags upstairs. And the bathroom door didnt have any clearance the door would hit the toilet when you open the door. The hallways smell like smoke… other than that it was fine.

Alsome place to stay they have smoking and non smokeing rooms they are clean smell good and good location from the zoo.

Rooms were clean. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good. Best price for the quality and comfort.
