Great stay for an even better value! Had to drive 2 hours into Asheville for a doctors appt really early in the am and wanted something on the cheaper side for an overnight stay. Comfy beds, nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly! Hot showers my only complaint would be if your a light sleeper like myself the a/c is on the loud side and woke me up every time it would start up besides that all was great!

It’s quaint and the staff is welcoming and it’s an easy Uber to anything. Could’ve been better, could’ve been worse ❤️ Loved the balcony + the offering of local craft beer in the office. Didn’t love making trips to the office every morning for coffee because the rooms don’t have coffee makers.

Very clean friendly staff, older property but well maintained and nice updates! Comfy beds and spacious rooms! Only downside was the a/c unit was so loud when it came on it woke me up every time. Would recommend! Also great location.

Booked a stay there for a room with two beds and got there around 10:30pm very nice staff and super cute room. Until we pulled the sheets back, covered in long hair which wasn’t too discouraging but then we found a big spot of blood on the duvet and it looked fresh. So I immediately check the other bed and believe it or not the same thing, looked like an older spot of blood on duvet. Immediately go to office and they offer a new room until morning so that I can speak with management. We get into new room and see no blood so assume it’s all good. Later found out it was nasty. Hair everywhere, mild on shower curtain, paint peeling off walls and ceiling and stains on stuff, evidence of not being thoroughly cleaned and I didn’t sleep at all due to the air conditioner squealing all night. I go to office this morning and let them know and the lady smiles and offers to move us to another room, that’s it no real I’m sorry etc. I declined and called orbitz (which is how I booked this supposed lucky
new and cute boutique spot) and explained the situation and was refunded) Super grossed out, disappointed and pissed to say the least that they didn’t even try to remedy this situation!

One of the very few hotels in Ashville that offered one room for 6 ladies enjoying a family reunion while visiting the Biltmore. The staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable and the free continental breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed on the outside community patio. The price was budget friendly… Half of any chain hotel!

The room was spacious, furniture new, beds nice and firm. They had boiled eggs for breakfast. I wish they had cooked eggs for breakfast. The location is nice.

It's beautiful here! The back side of the parking isn't the most pleasant thing, but once inside the room it's very modern! It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in. And I do a lot of traveling.

My husband and I stayed overnight with our 1.5 year old on our way to Florida. We will likely stay again! Very easy to get to, very clean and attractive (and Ive stayed in a lot of hotels and motels through the years! ). We arrived super late but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool has been filled in but theyve made a really nice outdoor communal seating area.

Overall a great experience, love the room, the bed was very comfortable, love the balcony with the chairs only reason not a 5 star is my bathroom was small in room 214 and breakfast was basic but for the price it was a awesome stay for $79 plus taxes.

Staff are Amazing and sweet. They got us a cake, Flowers, and champagne For our honeymoon. But the bed needs Some updating Rolling to one side Or the other was Difficult because of a large sink hole. They’ve recently remnovated and are still going through this. Room and hotel was recently modernized and updated from a motor lodge. It’s quaint, small, & has the basics.

This place is a dump. When we got to the room it WAS NOT CLEAN! The bed was messed up, garbage, etc… uh oh Goldilocks! There is paint peeling off the wall in the bathroom. There’s a bug. The ceiling is peeling off. We paid WAY to much for this absolutely NOT BOUTIQUE hotel. Not sure how we can get the $79 a night rate at this point but this is ridiculous! ONLY redeeming quality is the front staff at 9pm

I went there to visit a friend and the accommodations looked very nice and the place was very well put together.

Location was good as it was a quick 15-20 minute walk to downtown. The rooms were large but the cleaning staff seemed to regularly skip areas of the room. We had to return our towels because twice they had stains on them when we got them. The bathroom door needs to be replaced as it barely closed (had to pull it multiple times which was very loud) and it was all scratched up. The breakfast buffet also has a very limited selection.

The Beaucatcher is a renivated motor lodge with a central courtyard just outside of downtown Asheville on Tunnel road. The rooms are clean and fairly nice and the motel office boasts free breakfast and complimentary coffee from a local roaster as well as local beers in the evening. Great value for the money and conveniently located for a quick Uber downtown.

This was a nicer place than we thought it would be. It's small, but very comfortable. Staff is really nice. Close to everything. You have to try papas and beer. Some of the best mexican I've ever had and the prices are great.

#beaulife… chairs were comfortable room was clean, plenty of clean towels. Great value.

Nice little hotel. The courtyard was great, especially for my kiddos to run around and play. Could use a little tlc in the bathrooms, but the rest of the room was spacious and comfy. The bed was awesome!

The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is free. Rooms are renovated to modern style and very clean. The bed was very comfy. Shower is great and hot water. Location is perfect and very close to downtown and the shops etc. Definitely will stay here again.

Fantastic staff, they are very helpful and knowledgeable! Room was clean and prepped for the appropriate amount of people, loved our stay! We would definitely come back.

Room was great, however went to checkout at 4am and no staff was there so left curtains open and card on table in the room and was charged an extra night. Staff was great while they were there.

After telling the operations manager Marina Morey, that I wanted a refund because her place was discusting I didn't feel safe, and it was completely misrepresented on the website she proceeded to get an attitude, tell me she was still charging me, told me to have a happy thanksgiving and hung up on me. Who does business like that? Do not waste your time or money with or on such unprofessionalism. 1 star because giving none wasn't an option!

Because giving zero stars was not an option. I arrived late last night to a sketchy hotel that was completely misrepresented by the pictures on the website. I did not feel safe. So I cancelled my reservation and went else where. The late night respectionist told me that he could not refund my stay and to call back the next day and talk with Marina Morey operations manager. This woman had the nerve to get an attitude with me because I told her that her establishment was disgusting. After being told that her attitude was not needed, she told me that I would be charged for one stay, happy thanksgiving and hung up on me. I would not recommend giving this business your money!

Hipish option a little off the beaten track but not far from downtown. Updated motel, nice enough, attracts diverse/friendly crowd, but can be loud due to the central gathering area with fire pit (was the pool area in a previous life). Try to avoid a room in the back only because the parking feels a little sketchy at night. If you get a good rate, definitely worth the price considering other similar — tier options.

LOVED staying at this motel! Price was much lower than others in the area, and the room was so nice. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, with soft pillows and big, fluffy blankets. The shower was great. Built-in dispensers were a nice touch. Pretty decor. Great picture and reception on the modern TV. Lots of breakfast options. So glad they renovated this old roadside motel instead of tearing it down. Great job!

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A cool older Motor Lodge remodeled into a hip and trendy establishment. I'd far rather patronize this locally-owned business then give my money to the Holiday Inn Express across the way.

Nice place, a little strange in that it's a motel, but rooms were nice and spacious. TV was too small, and bathroom a bit cramped. Still a pretty good deal, compared to other options.

Staying at The Beaucatcher was wonderful. The rooms were well decorated and super clean. The motel was quiet and the staff curteous. I loved their outdoor lounge area which looked like it was built on the site of an old swimming pool. It was a much better use of space.

It is a quaint, clean renovated motel with comfortable beds and the location was really good! Food and fast food, gas and groceries all right there. A nice pergola and fire pit, craft beers for purchase and coffee/teas available. On the down side, it was over priced but… the entire area is so it is what it is. Next door is a nice holiday inn for $70 cheaper per night. I am a ihg member, probably going to continue using their services… Sorry I would recommend this hotel to the millennial crowd that looks for something with a little more edge and a little different.

Hairs in bath tub and in bed. Receptionist was polite and I understand it is not her fault. She did offer to come and clean out tub, but that doesn't boost my opinion of the rest of the room.

Cost effective for the area. Has potential, but, this place NEEDS a lot of work to be awesome. We arrived to a flooded bathroom. Which got mopped up, no offer for another room or price reduction on room. Bathroom remained damp. Beds were comfy, thats a plus. If you are going to spend a lot of time not in your room and just need an affordable place to crash after wandering asheville or hiking all day, this may a be place worth staying. We also woke up to staff yelling across the courtyard about needing to stock towels and other things. So, don't plan on sleeping in. The biggest perk here is its considerably cheaper than other places to stay in the area. Plan to get what you pay for.

Looks like an old motel turned into a nicer hotel, stayed here after visiting Biltmore Museum. Free parking, free breakfast, clean rooms, (2queen beds &a sofa for $174). I usually don't go to non chain hotels, took a chance because all others were booked full in the area, pleasantly surprised. Several restaurants, pharmacy and variety of stores located walking distance from this hotel.

You hear motel and you think it's gonna be a cheap dingy room that I'd just there becaise you needed a cheap place to lay your head for the night. The Beaucatcher is a refurbished 1960s motel that has rooms that rival the big names in the area. Bed is comfy (laying in it right now! ) and the room is very nice. It was a decision well made.

The rooms are pretty nice, but if you're a light sleeper you won't have any fun. Paper thin walls, you can hear everything outside (and the guy snoring in the next room. ) Bed was comfortable though. Would have been nice to sleep in it.

This is an old motel that had been recently updated with a more modern style. It would have been a nice stay if they had offered payperview purchases, or had at least had a consistent internet connection. The Internet only worked at a very slow speed about 30% of the time. The was no light switch to turn on the vanity lights in the bathroom area. I looked in every imaginable location for at least a combined 20 minutes for it. Will not be staying again.

It's an old motel from the 1960's modernized! I wish more old hotels and motels did this. I like that they kept the original building and gave it new life. Our room was clean and modern. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is new for them, so it's ever progressing. Location was central for everything we did and it's close to a grocery store if you need to pick up something you need. Rooms have microwave, good size fridge. We enjoyed our stay. I could see coming back. I'd recommend the Beaucatcher.

This motel offered a clean room with the expected amenities. Unfortunately during my stay, an item was taken from my belongings. The General Manager, Shradha Patel, was extremely accommodating and professional about the situation and offered a reduction in the cost of my stay. While that did not change how I felt about the loss, it did show me that the management really care about offering good service. I felt my issues were heard and the appropriate actions taken.

This place is amazing! The price was very good and they have done such a good job remodeling this place. Its like a hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were great. Beds were very comfy and the temperature in the room was perfect. Beautiful scenery and courtyard. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Room was decent enough. Several issues though. Room was very dusty. Power to the A/C was basically wire tapped together. T. V was too small for a room that size. No guide or channel listing for what was on the T. V. Maids never made the bed. Left towels on the bathroom floor to be picked up and they never were.

Room was affordable comparably for the Asheville area but very disappointed with the cleanliness. We found a pair of leftover dirty socks by the nightstand and in the nightstand drawer was a copy of Scandalous Women right beside the Holy Bible along with numerous other travel brochures from previous guests. Vanity area was not clean and found numerous hairs in the bathtub. Bathtub walls appeared to have not been cleaned in a while and toilet could definitely use a good brushing. Was a bit put off also that there was a clearly visible can of flea and bed bug spray displayed in the window of the laundry room. Likely won't stay again.

Great location less than 5 minute drive to downtown center core. Great place for the price.

Clean, friendly, and affordable! The location is what first attracted me to the Beaucatcher — — so close to downtown without having to pay downtown prices. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The motel is newly renovated, very clean with modern amenities, everything you would expect, including a simple but nice continental breakfast. I enjoyed the private porch and seating in the courtyard. It's on a fairly busy highway, but I couldn't hear the traffic from my room. There's a bank, gas station, grocery store and restaurants all within walking distance. This will definitely be my go-to motel for future visits to Asheville.

Friendly people, clean rooms and newly renovated.

A nice basic motel, they've undergone some serious renovations recently. It was still under construction when I stayed there (June '16), but was already a quite comfortable modern stay.

Currently renovating the hotel, but the room I stayed at was newly redone and VERY nice! Definitely worth the stay.

Very nice new rooms. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, no coffee machine and no breakfast. The outer impression you must make no mistake, it is renovated yet.

We stayed in a renovated roomand it was very nice however the outside is still a work in progress. The price was right though.

If I could give less than one star, I would. This place looks as though it should be condemned. The customer service is horrible. My husband and I had made a reservation to stay there, we went to the hotel room that the office had been moved into (room 111) due to the main office looking as though it had been torn down or a fire had happened. We went through the motions of cancelling our reservation but to no avail did anyone answer the door for the main office. So we called. NOW we are being charged an almost $70 cancellation fee. We called to dispute it and the woman we spoke with was incredibly rude and refused to help out in anyway and said that we had lied about our attempts to get in contact with someone in room 111. do not stay there, do not give them business. will be contacting the BBB.

This place is INCREDIBLE! It may not look like much from the outside, but the rooms have just been redecorated and they are awesome. We have stayed both before the renovation and after the renovation and right now, especially for this price, this is one of Asheville's best kept secrets. The staff is exceptionally courteous and takes care of any requests as soon as they can. If you don't choose to stay here, you're spending way too much money somewhere else!

Run down, overpriced crap hole. Lights did not work for the most part, Holes in walls, tiles missing in bathroom floor, four foot light cover off and sitting next to bed, torn carpet, dirty bathroom, Mold in shower, dirt and smashed bugs on inside of door, was surprised the sheets were clean but in the morning light, the bed spread was not. Cable TV looks and sounds like it was hooked up by a "friend". Worst place I've ever stayed. Will NEVER stay here again! Extremely overpriced. Looks like a cracked den. Sleeping in your car may be a better option, but don't do it around back where it looks like a crime scene. Screaming outside in the night and an astounding lack of class. Herds of cats. So many cats. Air conditioner works but hey gotta keep those meth heads cool, makes them less twitchy I guess.

The rooms are nasty. The place is full of drug dealers, hookers, and I caught the owner doing coke or Meth in the office. The TV was messed up, you can't pick up the Sufi unless you sit next to the office. The AC didn't work. I can't see how this place stays in buisness. I spent 15 min in the room and demanded my money back. The owner refused and called the police for no reason. Lied and said I threatened him. And I got kicked off the property and he kept my money. I wouldn't let my dog stay here. If you choose to stay here anyway. Do not leave your belongings in the room if you go somewhere. The owner is a junky and a con artist.

We chose this hotel b/c it was one of the more affordable places to stay within a very short distance to downtown, less than 1 min drive. All hotels on Tunnel Road range from $120 upward. I Location is right in the heart of the city, next to downtown. We felt very safe b/c of its central location. It is a non-franchise, so not a lot of perks but was pleased to find that they had free Wi-Fi. Our room was non-smoking and was very clean and spacious, room also had a refrigerator and microwave. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and were surprised at the level of comfort we found with such affordability. We would love to come and stay again. Also — staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Choose Local — it seems to be what Asheville is all about. :).

Cheap, but easily the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The best part about the my whole experience was the fact that the lobby smells as though there's a clandestine curry lab operating in the office.
