Clean room. All mod cons. Had minifridge, everything was in working order. Power outlets on the lights. The front desk was friendly & helpful. The overflow parking situation was not the best but they are limited & the hotel was 100% full. Overall an amazing value. I only came here b/c of a power outage in the city & now I will look for other Clarion Inns if they are going to be this good. I slept excellent.

Hotel rooms were nice enough… However, No elevator access, so definitely not handicap friendly if you aren't on the first floor. Our toilet kept having issues flushing. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. We were down to eat by 9 and there was no waffle mix, and when we asked if there was more, we were told it was broken by one of the breakfast staff members. It wasn't until someone complained at the desk that they brought out more. The eggs were microwavable patties and tasted awful and the other assorted items they offered were unappetizing. We ended up getting breakfast somewhere else after we checked out. This is not the best hotel to stay at if you're visiting the Biltmore. The quality was beyond underwhelming for the price we paid to stay there. Will not be staying again.

Oh man. Stayed last night and ive gotta tell ya the customer service was spot on! Very clean rooms, great view, near the historic Biltmore estate and downtown asheville. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

Not enough handicap parking. I asked for a room easily accessible as I don't walk well, got second floor that was grounded level in the back but had to walk to the front to get in the room. Had to step up and down the curb, stumbled and hurt myself. Also I paid cash but my card was also charged messing up my credit card as I was not expecting that. The room was nice but I will never stay there again.

Clean and conveniently located. We arrived during a tropical storm. The hotel provided everything we needed from services to advice due to numerous road closures from the flooding. Professional but practical staff were a pleasure to deal with. Check in was easy. Traffic noise was noticeable but not unreasonable. Parking spaces are tight and a bit unforgiving for larger vehicles but manageable. No problems encountered. For the price, a nice place to stay.

The Clarion rooms are spacious and comfortable. Although they may not look luxurious, they are very functional. The bed is comfortable. We had a refrigerator and coffee pot. A plus for us is two bedside stands with lamps and plug-ins.

Wonderful price for the room. Extremely close to builtmore and the interstate. Relatives stayed here on their visit & loved it.

I've stayed in at least a dozen midrange hotels in and around Asheville over the past couple of years, and the Clarion is the cleanest, and most comfortable of all by far. The room was spotless and well appointed, the linens crisp and clean, and the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. Don't be fooled by the two star rating because this place excels and outshines every other equally so rated. Very impressed.

Room had a smell of cigarette smoke and heavy chemicals trying to mask the odor, this is what is giving my poor review. Kudos to the housekeeping staff that noticed we had left a phone charger and had the front desk call us. Not many would have taken this extra step.

Room was clean and inexpensive. Breakfast was about what I would expect from a continental breakfast at a budget motel, but it was free and they didn't run out of anything while we were there. Staff was very friendly.

Really nice rooms and staff in a great location for Biltmore and the village. Rooms are up to date, clean, and well appointed. Front desk staff is helpful with needs and request.

The rooms were clean and well sized. Quick check in — someone who was not officially working checked us in while the on-duty clerk helped the customer in front of us. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was okay but not great.

I saw several good reviews on this hotel and was looking forward to my stay. The rooms are nice, but I was very disappointed in the unfriendliness and how unhelpful the morning staff was. It started when I arrived for breakfast, with still an hour left to get their continental breakfast they were already out of milk, and when myself and several other patrons asked the staff about it we were told they had run out and would not be putting any more out. Then I called to ask for an extended checkout because I wanted to wait for the weather to clear up and according to the local weather on TV and the weather channel online that was supposed to happen at noon. When I called the front desk to ask for an extended checkout the lady was very rude and said they had already reached their self-imposed limit of 10 extended checkouts and they couldn't give me any kind of extension for any reason. I was very bothered by how incredibly rude and unhelpful she was, and she was not even the least bit apologetic. I do have to add that the man at the front desk when I checked in was very helpful and kind, but unfortunately none of the morning staff I interacted with were kind or helpful at all. I will never stay at this Clarion again while traveling through Asheville. Very disappointed.

Convenient location. Very close to Biltmore Village. Plus, we could just walk down to Texas Roadhouse for dinner in a minute.

The front of the building is very loud as it faces a busy road. And getting to the hotel through a packed Texas Roadhouse parking lot was a pain. Room was clean, staff was helpful and price was fair. Breakfast was okay, too. I'd stay here again if I could guarantee a room on the back half.

In an ice/snow incident that left area restaurants closed, Chris went above and beyond to make sure we had tasty burgers and wings, even though it was crazy busy with people looking for accommodations… and he was working multiple shifts due to the weather. Thank you Chris! You were awesome!

If you are on a budget, this is a great value for money location. You are five minutes away from the Biltmore by car yet getting into and off the property is tricky. You must be careful if you are leaving the parking lot and need to get across the road because making a left isn't easy. If you stay in the low 100-200 room numbers you will be closest to the very active road and will hear the traffic noise in your room. The rooms are nicely but modestly equipped with everything you need. They provide breakfast as part of your cost, but we are vegan so we cannot speak to taste or quality. The location, amenitites and cleanliness are just fine. I would rate this hotel a solid 3.5 stars but a half isn't possible here. There are lots of places to eat very close by and fantastic options further away for vegans that are worth visiting.

Very limited parking, after we told night girl there was 1 car in 2 spaces she said she didn't see it on the camera system. Then in morning when we went to our car, it had been keyed and a cigarette had been put out on driver side door. Wouldn't stay here ever again.

Good room, clean with all expected amenities for the price. Parking is problematic though and 1st floor room was a little noisy. There's an uncooperative Texas Roadhouse next door that allows its patrons to park in the hotel lot. Not the hotel's fault but it was frustrating in a very tight and tiny parking lot. Other than that, it was a good choice.

Really didn't care for the hotel. I could hear ambulances and noise all night even with a room on the backside. It was hard getting in and out of the property. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The room walls were also very easy to hear through. They were clean though and one of the cheaper ones in that vicinity. The area is pretty close to a lot of the Asheville hot spots.

Affordable, convenient to dining, shopping and sights (Biltmore Gardens 5 min away). Very clean, courteous staff (Skylar is awesome! ). Have stayed here before and will in the future!

I was an Irma refugee, brought my 17 year old dog, and was kicked out in the middle of the storm I was trying to escape. I understand I broke the rules, but I was in a difficult situation and couldn't leave my dog, and since I paid the fines, I feel I shouldn't have spent the second night that I paid for on a harrowing drive in the middle of the storm I was so desperately trying to avoid. It seemed needlessly cruel, but I imagine the hotel made out well from all the refugees.

I booked this room to recover after knee and foot surgery there was a credit card authorization form on file. The front desk agent which checked me in late that night was very kind and courteous even helped me with my luggage to my room. The next morning there was banging on my door at nine in the morning check out is 11 AM the owner came back to the room at 11 on the dot beating on my door demanding I leave that the credit card authorization form was not my credit card Authorization form however the name matched my ID. I ended up having to call the police and the police told the owner/manager that he was completely out of line. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel as they are rude and inconsiderate.

Front desk staff was Great! Room was quiet. Some reviews talked about hearing cars but wasn't a problem for us and we were on the road side. Rooms clean. Breakfast was ok. Waffle was the best part so take the time to make one. :) Texas Rd House in same parking lot and hotel offers 10% off coupon. We would stay here again!

This is a wonderful Choice hotel in Asheville especially for the price. It is beautifully newly remodeled… the owners care about your experience and it really shows. It is conveniently located to both Biltmore Village and Mission Hospital. The staff is friendly and helpful. As a wheelchair use who travels a great deal the accessible room with a roll-in shower is incredible. They now have a bar in the lobby serving wine and local beers.

I am not typically a fan of motels. However, this one was top-notch. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Beds were great, bathrooms were very nicely laid out. The front desk attendant was extremely polite and the check-in process was easy. The selection at breakfast was great, well stocked, and the attendant there was polite and helpful. Very pleased overall!

The room was nice but the beds were doubles and not Queens. The continental breakfast was severely lacking. No real selection and not lactose free options for the cereal. Not bad for a single night stay but would definitely look into a different option for a longer stay.

The rooms are good enough — everything has been updated recently. Our room had a fridge and microwave and an HDTV displaying content in SD resolution (I think this is a thing with hotels for some reason). The bathroom was tiny and it's kind of annoying getting out of the way of the door so you can exit the bathroom. You also have to go up a steep hill to get to the parking lot and people may not always be paying attention. The free breakfast is pretty bad but better than nothing I guess.

It really disappoints me when the pool closes at 10. The lighting is fine to stay open well after dark. The sun doesn't set and go completely down until after 9, come on, guys. Let me enjoy the pool like an adult. Too much $ not to be able to enjoy the one thing that makes me happy at a hotel.

Good price for the area. Short drive to the biltmore. Difficult to find entrance. Clean rooms, firm mattresses, good service.

The room was clean and the beds are very firm. If you are a back sleeper if would be great but sleeping on your side, you are going to get up hurting. I got up hurting. The shower is not for tall people. You have to duck under the shower head. The TV volume is limited and if the heating or air unit is running it's hard to hear the TV. Construction was going on during our stay. It was a bit loud during the day but after eight is got quite. They started early in the mornings and it was to loud and very annoying. We should of been told about the construction work when we booked our room. Would NOT stay here again. Wi-Fi was very slow at times.

Got a room on the first floor, the hotel was in the middle of renovations, luckily our room looks like it was renovated and new furnished. Room is nice but the room was facing the road and we heard a lot of cars and sirens so make sure to book a room higher or in the back.

I'm not sure why the reviews on this place our average but know this: the rooms are extraordinary the beds are new and everything is perfect including the Wi-Fi.

Keep driving, fast. Not worth your time or money. I would have rather pitched a tent and cooked road kill. Chris, the receptionist, was very hospitable but had very little to work with.

Remodeling project going on… If you want any peace and Quite DO NOT stay at this hotel… If we had known this ahead of time we would have NEVER booked at this hotel… It was only when we arrived at 11:00 PM that we saw the massive remodeling going on. Then a 8AM when the construction crews started working it was impossible to go back to sleep. Oh and did I mention the dried out scrambled egg circles, and the overcooked hockey puck sausage patties.

Rooms are clean, water has perfect pressure and is hot. Breakfast is ample with juice, coffee, yogurt, waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, among other things. Only downside is that the beds are designed for back sleepers and are firm to hard. I'm a side sleeper and woke up a bit sore. Other than that, it's been a great budget place to stay.

First, the place is very hard to find. The sign is tiny and gps has no idea how to get here. I got lost for a solid 20 minutes. The parking lot is tiny. When I checked into my room it had not been cleaned since the last guest. The manager got me a new room right away but it didnt inspire confidence. Now I'm finally settled and was hoping for a nap. That isn't going to happen with the construction going on above me. I hope that ends before tonight… The location is handy if you want to be near Biltmore… but there are other options. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free.

The location to the Biltmore Estate was it's best factor. The room was okay, nothing spectacular. The entrance to hotel is poorly marked by a very small sign. The parking accommodations are small for the amount of rooms the hotel has. We were directed to park in the restaraunts lot down the hill for the night. If you have any type of issues with walking/ stairs be sure to request a ground floor room upon booking. Would only book again if no other option available.

The walls of the room are paper thin. You can hear what's going on in the other room. But since I was tired slept fast. The rooms are OK nothing fancy. Bit expensive for what you get but I believe that's because you are very close to bitlmore.

Decent hotel. Employees are very hospital. Even gave my mom breakfast items after breakfast was shut down. I've stayed here 3 times. No problems. Reason I gave it a 3 star rating because of limited parking spaces.

September 30 — October 1, 2015 — — For the price range, very niece, would stay again! — Very clean & fresh room. Flat screen TV. Coffee maker and small refrigerator. — nice breakfast bar with several choices —, not like the $18.00/person buffet at the Grand Ole Opry hotel if that is what you are looking for. Close to everything. — — — No elevator to second floor, and a SHORT, somewhat steep entry/exit driveway if walking to local area and one requires a cane or has difficult walking. Otherwise not really a problem. Have been traveling for over 30 days in US and this is a bargain for the price. NOTE — — turn in at the Texas Steakhouse as the entry drive is shared,

The room smelled musty, very badly. There were not enough parking spaces for the amount of rooms. We had to park at the Texas Roadhouse and walk all the way up the "Very Steep Hill" to the far back of the hotel carrying luggage, and the hotel was not even completely booked. Extremely Over Priced, all rooms were $188.00 and it was seriously No Better than a $49.95 per night Redroof Inn or Motel 6… and I would recommend them over this hotel any day. Because it so close to Biltmore, I guess they firgure they don't care, they'll get the business regardless.

I can’t give information about my stay in June because I wasn’t allowed to stay (though I'd paid in advance for the room). So as far as cleanliness, room comfort, etc. I have no idea. The site requires a rating, so I will reluctantly give them "1". When I called for directions to the hotel, the young man who answered the phone told me I didn't have a reservation when I did (he told me, "There is nothing that can be done. "). When my reservation was confirmed and I got to the hotel, he apologized. I told him I didn’t care about him misunderstanding the reservation and that my only issue with him was that he'd told me that nothing could be done. He denied what he'd said repeatedly, he swore at me (f-bomb, I kid you not), and then refused to check me in (I was a woman traveling alone by car in the middle of the night during an intense storm). When I called the next day, the manager informed me that what I'd told him contradicted his employee's story, and that their policy was to back their employees. He refused to refund my money even though I did not no-show, did not cancel, and was actually refused the room I paid for. Essentially, that means he called me a liar. I was not going to let this go. But thankfully, the hotel managed to avoid a lawsuit by reviewing their security tapes and validating my side of the incident. At that point, they reversed their decision to refund my money.

I had the displeasure of dealing with Tim, or someone that said his name was Tim, the manager/Owner of this location. (White Male, 40s with long wavy brown hair) I'd like to stress to anyone reading these comments that Tim is rated in the category of worst human beings to ever exist. He should not be in hospitality nor in any business of day to day interactions with human beings. He wasn't having a bad day, he was just absolutely a horrible human being. His stance, his presence, his aura gave off a vibe that you'd have to be around to truly understand the disgusting weight of it. He was extremely rude, demeaning, and condescending. He physically came out of his office and directly into my mother's face at the car in the parking lot, at night, AFTER we had left the office. He kept daring us to do something and that he will just evict us. Keep in mind, it was me, my twin sister, mother and father that he was verbally taunting, a family. He was waving his hand all in my mother's face and sister's face. He did evict us, cops were called. This all started due to his complete negligence in participation of being a human being. He was an _______ within 30 seconds of meeting him. Either way, we found a hotel within a few minutes with an amazing rate and personnel. Do yourself a grand favor and skip this hotel.

Fancy hotel for the price, includes a breakfast you will actually want to eat, fridge, safe (if you request it… Maybe an additional charge, not sure), shampoo, soap, soft towels, alarm clock, ironing board, laundry service & cable bigger screen TV. I was going to give this 4/5 stars but I then realized it deserved another star for its affordability (it was under $50 for off-season January). That means it is a small business competing with hotels like Best Western and Motel 6 and actually provides a clean, safe & luxury room without sacrificing their low price. For us, this place was awesome. Highly recommended.
