Clean and comfortable room. This is my second time staying here.

I have to admit we were a little skeptical after reading the negative reviews, but we're pleasantly surprised upon checking in to our room. It has been totally renovated! New carpet and tile, new furniture and mattresses, new comforters. It is clean and very pleasant. The only negative is the heater is a little too noisy. I highly recommend.

Clean, nice and recently remodeled. For the money; probably the best mid-priced motel in Asheville. Since they're part of Choice Hotels, you'll get your points if you're a Choice Hotels member.

Had a great time room didnt have a shower certin or ice bucket but guy at front desk took care of that in mins plan on coming back here.

Tv was on demo. Cover sheets looked like they had seen on them. There was a dirty T shirt under the area where the phone went. The toilet was dirty and the air conditioner was broke and we had a fan. All for $110. Wont be going there again.

Ice machines were both broken. Room was gross. Sketchy. A guy outside his room commented on my body, and then asked me if I was staying alone. This hotel did not feel safe.

Good location. Customer service was meh. Rooms were clean. Double charged.

Decent price for the location. Rooms are clean enough. Amenities are fine.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The room stunk, the TV was horrible, there was an empty condom wrapper beside the bed. There was a homeless couple living in their car right outside my room. There's much better places to stay in Asheville. I'd rather pay a little more for cleaner and safety!

Low priced essentials with a homey atmosphere. Anything goes as long as it's kept to a respectable level. If a laid back crowd is what you seek lay your head here.

The motel left a pleasant experience! Great for a stop over for a day or two!

Total shit hole. The guy working the desk is a total asshole too. Charged my card for a room that wasn't mine and blamed people in my party (in the other room) for something that didn't happen and kicked them out of the hotel at 4:00 am. (We would have stayed and fought that but we had to be somewhere at 0530, so we just used it as an early start for the day) I filed a complaint with Econo Lodge and Choice Hotels and was told they would "launch an investigation. " Even after repeated emails asking for an update, I get no response. DO NOT stay at this shit hole.

The most disgusting hotel I've ever been in. Crusty bodily fluid residue on bedding and in bathrooms. Large cigarette burns through bedding. Dirty towels that weren't even folded. Manager assured room would be cleaned while we were out for the evening. Came back and the room hadn't been touched. Checked out 3 rooms total (staff tried to move us to a "cleaner" room several times) and they were all filthy. Go to the Days Inn across the street. $10 more a night, friendly staff, quiet and clean rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice, the water was very hot good pressure, and the receptionist named April Spires or Spives was very nice and friendly. I never give a Five because there's always room for improvement. There are times though where they are warranted.

Save your time & money. For starters, the property is run down & out of date. And that's you see from the street. Tiny lobby with a tinier m counter where they claim breakfast will be served on. My room was like a matchbox. Dark, very out of date & neglected. Hole in the curtain & bedspread. No safety latch or chain on the door. The water pressure is beyond weak. And the towels are clearly dingy & half washed. It's a nightmare.

The beds sleep comfortably enough for me. Better than other econolodges I have stayed in before, this is much nicer. The only things I would complain about in my stays here is the lack of hot breakfast (You get a decent one at the days inn across the road) and the hot water does cut out at times. Very friendly front desk service.

It's obviously an older motel, but it was very convenient and clean. And the night clerk looks like a guy I know, which was an unexpected perk.

Great location, room is fairly nice, all the people have been very nice and helpful. Will stay again. Owner said they are going to renovate very soon. That will be nice too.

One of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Safely chain on door had been removed, side chair was filthy, pillows looked slept on, refrigerator and microwave did not work, hair dryer missing, mold in shower, air conditioner/heating unit had front cover removed and you could see the filthy inside. Woke up coughing and hope it does not turn into some airborne illness. The bed was comfortable as long as I blocked out the image of how filthy the mattress was. We were in town for the Christmas Jam and it is conveintly located for Uber service. I have stayed at other hotels in the area and every one of them beats this place.

It is not a hotel where you come to spend a holiday because the setting is ugly and the rest of the guests is not made of families in a MOP.
But this hotel is also very well located in relation to the city center, the highways and the reception was very good.
Let's be clear, it's not very expensive either.

I have noticed that there are a lot of negative reviews about this Motel, but I don't see how. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was just as good as any other Motel 6. The manager who was working the desk was very friendly and gave us a deal of $40 a night since we were on our honeymoon. He also gave us great recommendations on activities and places to eat. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. The cleaning lady came and delivered fresh towels and wash rags everyday. I recommend to anyone who wants a basic room and doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg.

I didn't expect much being it's a budget motel. I don't have a problem with the quality of the room, but the hotel kept my driver's license and credit card when we checked in. We had already taken an uber downtown by the time I realized it and had to go all the way back. It would have been nice had they at least agreed to pay for the uber.

Cigarette burns in the covers, mind you its a non smoking room. Water was dripping all night in the tub. Seen a baby roach I was like okay its only for 6 hrs just deal with it. Slept on top of the covers. Water pressure was so low I thought I didn't turn it on right. Then to top it off woke up to the Momma Roach we checked out at 8:30 in the morning! We went to see Kevin Hart his show was over about 2 am so I paid $110 for a hotel room for 6 hrs, they should be shut down I can not see how people was still showing up. I booked through Choice hotels but never again that is a bad reflection of them. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Parking is horrible, its so much ugh I'm over it.

Cheapest price for the location. Very kind & helpful staff. Staff is reason we booked a room for 1 night. Wanted to enjoy the local brewery and foods after business was finished with. Great town. Walking friendly.

We evacuated Florida for Hurricane Irma. When we checked into our room we noticed a used Q-tip on the floor by the bed. We also noticed a used band aid on the floor in the bathroom. There were leftover drinks in the refrigerator. Also, the bed spread had cigarette burns in it on both beds. Since the hotel was full we stayed. The next morning the staff started asking how soon we were leaving 2 hours before check out. They kept coming by the door as we were packing. Not knowing our next destination because of the storm we asked is we could extend check out for an hour. They said sure but we would have to pay money. We were out of the room by 11am which is the check out time. While we were saying goodbye to relatives who were staying one more night we were told they were going to charge us if we stayed in their room. I later found out that they had a special "hurricane" rate for evacuees but we were charged full price. The place is filthy and the staff is rude. The hotel was 100% booked with Florida evacuees. They did not treat any of us with any compassion as we all watched the hurricane rip through our home towns the previous night. They just wanted their money.

I rather enjoyed my stay at the Econo Lodge Biltmore. Which is quite the opposite of my last time I stayed at an Econo Lodge. I had the utter misfortune of traveling with a narcissistic sociopath at the time. Let's just say that there are very few things that an abusive cheating narcissistic sociopath will not gladly ruin. However on this trip I found not only the company but also this Econo Lodge to be quite excellent. The room was exceptional, well laid out, and clean. The bathroom and vanity area were top notch. The bed was quite comfortable and slept exceptionally well. The free coffee in the morning wasn't bad either. An their rate for a room in this area simply can't be beat. I would highly recommend the Econo Lodge Biltmore to anyone looking for comfortable, enjoyable, and affordable accommodations.

Won't ever go again, not to this one anyway. Stayed there lastnight and the spreads that were on one of our beds was still dirty, had prior nights enjoyment left on them. Luckly, we had our own clean bed linens with us.
Obviously they rent out rooms to just anybody, coming through the parking lot to get to our room drunks were everywhere outside partying with their room doors left wide open so everyone could hear the music blasting, not to mention there was a drunk man laid out in the middle of the parking lot like a speed bump, when we would blow the horn to ask him to move he just laid there and laughed till his friend, who was also trashed, pulled him out of our way so we could park. We would complain to the office about the loud music at least 3 times during the night and nothing was done.

Total poop. Underwear not cleaned up in bathroom. AC not avail although some type of fan in system was running. Called two days before telling me rate was not avail after email confirm. Shady, dicey and suspect is best way to describe. Total poop again. Get it together people.

Hey so when we first got here everything was okay. The next morning when checkout was at 11am we were incessantly disturbed an hour and a half and twice an hour before our checkout time so that was rude. Then what happens next is that checkout time comes, we leave. After that, they call my brother explaining that they are going to be charging him $150 for a bit of dog hair that had fallen off one of our blankets, proceeding to claim/argue that we had a dog. So at the time they call us we're already on the road. So we begin to turn around and return to this place and when we arrive to allow the management to check our van and see for themselves, the female behind the counter begins to call the police on us after my brother goes in and speaks with her when he had said nothing explicit or threatening. Yes, I said she was calling the police on us. I smell a scammer got mad that they didnt get their "winnings". Do yourself a favor and don't go here. Go to a place to stay at where the management aren't insane.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked online and thought I was getting a great deal, the pictures all looked great and I thought it was a great place according to all the information online. Well once I arrived, I could tell it was run down when I pulled in the parking lot. The older gentlemen at the desk was super nice so I decided to give it a try, once I got to the room, it had not been kept up at all! It is totally run down! There is burn marks in the comforter, the top left hand corner of the curtains was ripped off the rod so we had to slide a chair and pin the curtain between it and the wall to keep it closed, the TV remote didn't work, the hair dryer in the room didn't work either. We stayed for two nights and the second day we came back to the room and the beds were not made and nothing had been cleaned or restocked, they had just thrown some towels on the bed. The water pressure at the sink was a joke! I had to wash my hands forever just to get the soap off. There was also a dog barking and whining all night, I will never ever stay in another econolodge again! The photos online are definitely not the hotel we stayed in.

Good service and convenient location to everything.

We had a great time at this motel. Outdoor access to rooms, but spacious. Bathroom was almost clean, we had to rinse the tub out. Front desk folks were very nice and professional. Breakfast was very basic, just coffee, donuts and bagels.

Rooms are terrible and not worth the money, spend a little more to stay @ a better establishment. This place should be shut down!

For 120 bucks a night, I expected a bit better. Continental breakfast was weak at best, coffee wasn't good and they had a bagel or something. Towels had old stains in them. Refrigerator was turned off in our room so we had some leftovers go bad the first night. Water pressure in shower was fine, sink was pathetic to the point where I took to washing my hands and brushing my teeth using the tub faucet. Parking lot is cramped. To summarize, they charged 120 dollars a night because they could, not because they should. They should spend more time on the 'lodge' and less on the 'econo'.

Location is convenient to all the action downtown, but the area is very seedy. We would not stay here again, and we only booked cause it was the cheapest place left for that night. The nighttime hotel clerk was really nice and friendly, but the process was painfully slow. We had to wait a really long time with two people in front of us. The room itself was pretty shabby and in disrepair, the toilet seat had lots of stains and scratches, the walls looked like they were dripping oil in places. Water pressure was great for tub and shower but bad plumbing made it impossible to get a consistent temperature of water. One minute you had to avoid burning your skin, the next it would change to freezing cold. There was no way for you to call the front desk, there were no number directories anywhere in the room. It is also unfortunate that there is smoking in the room as it smells very much of old cigarettes. Make sure your car and valuables are secured as there are some characters that stay there/walk by/hang out in the parking lot. There will also be scammed looking for a handout with the story that their little girl is sick and they need money to take her to the doctor. They will say this to you while smoking a cigarette — they aren't cheap, so where did you get the money for those?

Right off the bat if your looking for guest experience this is not the place to be. I arrived at the hotel early and then the lady at check in told me I would be charged extra in order to check in. She said to wait till 3 to check in (which happened to be when she gets off shift) so she was just being lazy. Not to mention she also gave us attitude for trying to split the price on separate cards. Then once we checked in the window in our hotel room was broken and couldn't lock. So it could be open from the inside and outside we then had to change rooms, after that all was well. 3/10 experience would not reccomend.

Please Please Please save your money and stay somewhere else. Wish I could give negative stars. Yes this place is cheaper than those around it but you get what you pay for. Cockroaches in the room. Air conditioner did not work well at all. Walls and door were very dirty, the bathroom door frame was broken and the safety chain was broken off the door. Reported it to the man on duty, the man when I checked out, and when I called back and complained to the manager he basically called me a liar and said that he could not do a refund because he did not have evidence of bugs in the room, and asked me if I knew how to run a air conditioner.

The best bang for your buck in Asheville. If you're looking for a place to sleep, I highly recommend this Econolodge!

I paid $159 for a hotel room that could have been $59.00. Due to a check in error I ended up in a smoking room (yuck). Bare minimum essentials. Next time I go to Ashville I will plan better and grab an AirBnB in lieu of $400 per night rates at the bigger brands.

The check-in was quick and very friendly. Rooms were clean. Just a couple miles from downtown Asheville, so a quick drive or decent walk.

Fine room for the price and very close to downtown ($5 Uber ride! ). But, the room smelled very astringent for the entire time we were there. Fine if you love the scent of intense lemon scented cleaning products, but it gave us a headache.

It was a good room. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming.

Location was in a good spot. Close to everything around Asheville. It was one of the cheaper hotels available and the pictures looked decent, that's why we chose to stay there. The room was nice enough but the bed was very uncomfortable.

Nice enough for the price. The smoking room smelled aweful so we switched to non smoking and it's way better.

This place is dreadful. The walls were dirty (literally dusty) and had holes all over them. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. It was downright gross — — there was gunk built up in the corners. The kleenex dispenser was covered in rust and only had one tissue in it, and the tp roll was almost empty. The carpet didn't look like it had been vacuumed. I also didn't feel secure in the room. The door wasn't heavy (could easily be kicked in) and the lock seemed flimsy. I arrived at Econolodge after midnight following a long day of traveling. If I hadn't been so tired I would have moved on to a different hotel. I was charged $125 for that disgusting room (the weekend rate)! I complained to the manager the next morning, but he would only take 15% off the bill. The weeknight rate is $60. It's not even worth that. The owners of this property should be ashamed of themselves.

Melissa, the lady working the front desk, gave every single person in our party of 6 a hard time about something. She wouldn't let anyone check in until 3 o'clock on the dot. She had a bad attitude about everything & acted as though she was doing us a favor by doing her job. Our room (263) was deemed uninhabitable by us because of an overwhelming mildew smell that gave me a headache, broken tiles in the bathroom that were loose & moved the bathroom, a broken tub stopper, a barely functional shower head, and an overall dirty room. Upon asking for another room, I was turned away from Melissa at the front desk because she was in the middle of another task. She then came up to the room while my fiancée was taking a shower in preparation for a wedding rehearsal & told me they were booked for the night & said she could give me her own personal can of Lysol (as if it were a treasured item). I replied that we would be staying elsewhere & she said I wouldn't be refunded for the night & I would have to bring the keys to the front desk (as if you could pay us to stay there). So, in the end, my fiancée took a $68 shower in the world's nastiest EconoLodge. I've stayed in some nice & some descent EconoLodges across the US, but this is the worst I've ever seen. Spend the extra $ & stay somewhere else!

We arrived early and even though there weren't any cars around, Asha wouldn't let us check in until 3. She was snotty and unfriendly. The place is fairly clean, but our door had been kicked in and it looked like a 10 year old repaired it. I won't stay here again.

I made a two night reservation and cancelled one night. They cancelled the wrong night and wouldn't work with me at all. I would not recommend this place at all.

Front desk guys super friendly and helpful. The bathroom was creepy and old. Loose tiles, rust stains in tub and sink. We were passing through and only stayed one night. Better hotels in the area.

The negatives of this hotel outweighed the positives. When you first walk into the room the smell is overwhelming. It smells like mildew or old rusty water. It's really hard to get over anything else with that smell in the air. It makes you second-guess everything like maybe there's water underneath the carpet or something never dried out. In the bathroom they tried to renovate but have done shoddy work. Everything is new except for an old rusty tissue holder which is kind of disgusting. The shower put about 80% of water out through the faucet so you only got about 20% through the shower head. This sort of topped everything off. The bathmat had dirt of done kind on the corner. Overall, it seemed like superficial renovations were used to mask underlying issues. The room had some renovations, the staff was friendly, and it was in a convient location. The refrigerator, microwave, and TV in the room were usable. In conclusion, I realize Asheville rooms are expensive but when you pay over hundred dollars I don't think you should walk in the room and almost vomit from the smell of mildew. The staff was really nice and it's a great location but if I had to do it over again I would spend more money and stay somewhere else.

Lady at check-in was great, room was clean but woke up to a huge brown spider next to me, when I informed the guy at the front desk he said "Uh huh, here is you bill"

6/18/15 Wonderful stay and very much worth it, got a great price on the room. Visited Asheville for Conference, this hotel was conveniently located. Staff were very friendly. The Room was Very Clean and had been remodeled very comfortable bed. Very Nice stay, would stay again if in the Asheville area.

Room was clean. Bed very comfortable. Had to eat breakfast somewhere else. No coffee. Stale bread and donuts.

Great location and clean, comfortable room. Easy to find and easy to get to the places I wanted to go to.

Rooms have been recently updated, and everything was very clean. I was impressed with desk staff and housekeeping.

Roach in the toilet upon entry pretty much set the tone. Musty, old, dark. Roach in the shower the following morning. Dank, over priced, dirty carpet. Sheets appeared to be clean, but I slept in my travel sleeping bag. Oh yeah, and a good twenty minutes away from Biltmore. Pretty much a $130/night dive. I would have still felt cheated at $50/night. Could not wait to leave.

I couldn't even make a reservation. I called since it had the lowest rates and I got the lowest service. The lady who anwered the phone was rude. She proceded to tell me should could not give me the rates on the website that I had to go through another number even though her motel number was posted. She then told me that was not the correct rate and was not able to give me that rate.

We had a horrable night at this motel the pepeol in room next to us were up all night fighting and bangen on walls we called front desk. They called them it didnt stop! No breakfast as advertised, fridge didnt work, phone didnt work, had trouble usen shower, no plastic shower curtain so when wife a. D I took shower she fell on wet floor.

Was only $59 after tax for a night. I thought it was a pretty good room considering the surrounding prices. Everything worked fine. Towel rack was broken off the wall, tissue box was rusted, door locked but was loose and let a tiny amount of light through. That would be the extent of anything bad you couldn't say. I was pleasantly surprised how good just an "econo" room was.

Fast service; located right here at the mall, and priced around $46.00 per night plus tax.
