Very nice lobby area. Room is not always ready if you arrive around 4PM. Staff NJ is friendly and will try to accommodate you as they get your room ready. Nice view of Mirror Lake side of hotel.

Great facility plenty of parking. Room was modern and clean. I was in town mid-week on business and found the rates most reasonable. Convenient to shops and dining. Breakfast, included with the room was good — a lot of choices. Would recommend to anyone looking for comfortable, reasonably priced accommodations.

This is a wonderful hotel with great amenities. We hardly drove anywhere since it's so close to Main Street. The hotel's decor also makes it feel like a lodge. We'll definitely be back.

The rooms are nice. The lobby is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is pretty good too.

Convenient location, rooms were nice. Good pool, small fitness center. Beautiful common area, lots of family activities. They do set up a minimal reception with cash bar in the evening.

There's a lot of nice things to say about this hotel. Clean, great atmosphere, nice amenities, and little touches like the wine and cheese in the evening that makes the place feel fancier. My one problem is that the front desk caused us several issues. We arrived early and was promised early check in once a room was available. Apparently the room became available and we weren't contacted. We were told this when we came back at check in and we were then reminded check in was not really till 4 so there was no reason to complain. It was 3:55 at that point. Then, the card we thought was being used for incidentals was actually used to pay for the room, despite that the room was prepaid already. So, great place but difficult times at the front desk.

We always stay here in Lake Placid. The staff is always fantastic and the hotel is nice and clean. The pool is always a hit with the kids and the managers beer and wine specials are a hit with the grownups. I look forward to our next trip!

Stayed here 2 nights. The property looks very nice, clean, no maintenance issues, and has amenities for families. Why do they get a 2? The breakfast was bad. Of all the Hampton Inn and Suites I've been to, this was the second worst I've ever had (the only one worse was the time that a staff member told me that the only way I was getting a waffle was if I bought waffle mix myself). The food quality was not good to start with, and there wasn't enough. Every time I walked out there, something was completely empty, and most things were very low. I watched a staff member walk by two empty food trays and an area with no paper plates, only to start refilling ketchup packets. While there were guests standing there asking for plates and eggs. I'm sure they get away with it because of their location (tourist town and close to ice center for hockey tournaments, so they don't have to try hard to get occupancy). But I have no desire to stay there again.

Loved the Hampton Inn & Suites. The sitting room/dining room area on main floor was a great place to sit by the fire, or the windows to look at beautiful Mirror Lake. The staff provided kids activities and a movie on Friday night when it was too cold to walk downtown for dinner.

Great staff. Nice open common area. Breakfast could have had better fresh fruit and yogurt choices. My key kept failing. Overall would go back.

Very conveniently located close to Main St. And facing onto Mirror Lake. Our room looked over the lake and the view with the mountains in the background is incredible. The hotel looks new and is designed in an Adirondack style. Our room was decorated in contemporary style, looking clean and fresh. The room was spacious with generous seating and places to set out our luggage. The bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was hotel standard but satisfactory. Staff were friendly and efficient. Nice outdoor patio with comfy chairs and a gas fire pit to ward off the evening fall chill. We will definitely be back in the future. A four out of five star property.

Beautiful view, friendly staff, rooms in good condition and it's right by the water. Microwave, fridge and safe are provided in the room. Also has a gym and pool, and breakfast and Wi-Fi was included. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great place and a wonderful stay. Breakfast and fitness center were amazing. Staff took care of my bicycle in a separate room for the whole weekend. Terrible first experience with the check-in starting later and the employee being super rude with us.

Practically new hotel in Lake Placid! What's not to love? Rooms are spacious and clean. Our room had a view of mirror lake. Microwave and refrigerator is a definite plus. Fresh cookies upon arrival and a manager's reception in the evening with beer and wine. Free breakfast which isn't very common in Lake Placid. The hotel offers a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the Mirror Lake beach. Big fire pit with nightly fire. It's more pricey than your average Hamptonn, but it's a decent value in Placid given the amenities. Plus a good deal of the LP hotel rooms are starting to show their age, so new fresh and clean rooms are a welcome addition. If I have any gripe it's the rust stains in the shower, and that's not a big deal at all.

Good location, very nice hotel with a great view of the beach area. A short walking distance to the main street area so you can leave your car, as parking is hard to find. Breakfast (self serve style) is included until 10am.

Really nice Hampton Inn. Rooms were clean and spacious. Nice view of the lake. Things in town were a bit busy because of the horse show. Conference food was average, but available. The cash bar was a bit pricey, but there are several good eating and drinking establishments a short walk away.

We had a great experience here. Rooms are very big and comfortable, the balcony is Worth every penny… what a view! The continental breakfast is better than most. The have plenty of complimentary items. We will stay here again.

My stay was comfortable and beautiful. The room had a balcony with a view onto Mirror Lake. The hotel also had a gym, pool and hot tub, all of which I used and highly enjoyed. Everything was clean and well maintained. The included breakfast was good, especially as compared with usual included breakfasts. It included a choice of eggs, bagels, toast, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, as well as three types of juices, coffee and tea. I was overall satisfied with the experience.

There are plenty of hotels with views of the lake where you can sit and take in the view. However, here you can walk out the door and in less then a min be swimming in the lake or relaxing on the beach by the lake. The hotel it self is very nice too. It is what you would expect from a Hampton inn & Suite.

What a great hotel. All the little extras… Like the BBQ. Build your own ice cream sunday, making a towel animal… Friendly staff… Clean room. Great location. One small complaint that the heater in the room was very loud and rattled… Didn't seem to do it on cool… Only heat.

Great surrounding countryside with beautiful lakes and hiking trails. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and amenities. The staff was also very nice.

Second time staying in this hotel. The facilities are excellent. Beautiful views of mirror lake. Lounge area is quite well designed. A good restaurant is a 30 second walk from the lobby. Full disclosure: Google gave me play money for an unbiased review (not associated with Hampton).

No idea why it's labeled a "3 star" hotel. At least a solid 4… Every year we stay in a couple of different Hampton Inns with our sons hockey team for various tournaments. I have never been anything but 100% ecstatic with all of the locations. However this one takes the cake! Gorgeous views and perfect service. A+

My daughter is a diamond club member, & the service was excellent! Breakfast was nice, & the room was spacious and clean. The views were beautiful, & it was walking distance to Olympic venue & hockey game.

We've been here one night now and love it. The rooms were clean and well stocked, there are lots of activities going on and a playground right across the street. A beautiful view of Mirror Lake. The Olympic arena is within walking distance as is the main street. Not much else to ask for.

Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space and a beautiful view from our balcony. 10 steps away from the awesome beer at Lake Placid Brewery.

Very nice, clean rooms, excellent staff and even have inclusive events such as make your own sundaes and movie nights for both children and adults. They seem to be doing their best to keep you happy and occupied.

Great place to stay. All the staff are very nice. Breakfast is the same as any other Hampton. I liked that the room had a dedicated Ethernet cable to avoid the shared Wi-Fi, which worked but was slow.

Nice rooms. Walking distance to downtown. Great views.

Amazing hotel. Only been there for a couple of years, so every bit of it is still in excellent condition. I was lucky enough to be upgraded from a regular king suite to a balcony studio. Views on the Mirror Lake side are spectacular! Staff was courteous and happy to help with any questions I had.

The view from the front of the hotel is so nice. The staff was eager to please at every turn and it was very clean. They held a Manager's Reception in the main lobby with $2 draft beer and $3 house wine, and had cheese, pepperoni, crackers, and pretzels for free on Friday afternoon. The hot breakfast was very convenient and good too. The Lake Placid Brewery is right next door and the rest of the town is within easy walking distance, I recommend the hotel and will stay there again. Pay a little extra for the rooms with a balcony, I wish I had.

As with all HiIton locations, the service was excellent and the room was really nice and clean. But also similar to my other experiences with the hotel chain, the internet was fairly slow (at least Netflix worked, but it took a while to start up) and the breakfast is quite bad. For the price you would expect these things to be better. We generally go to smaller bed and breakfast locations, but when those are not available Hilton's tend to be the best alternative, just a little expensive when you consider what they offer at breakfast.
