The staff is the absolute best. Sonia, Osin, Daniella, Phillipe, Warren and JUSTIN ❤️❤️❤️. See Kathy, the amazing hostess at Goosefeathers and hug her for me. The grounds and buildings are vintage, so do not arrive thinking you are in AC or Vegas. Be prepared to secure/hunt down/bring in your own nourishment during the day. Bring your walking shoes for all of the lovely steps. Fire pits at night were lovely and the hallways were quiet. Once Joe gets the pool open, I will add another star ❤️

I recommend the Tarrytown House Estate for healthy people who have no difficulty walking long distances and going up and down stairs! The Estate is beautiful but traversing the grounds was most difficult for my sister. Our first room did not have a handicapped accessible shower nor did it have the two beds that had been requested. The staff was very kind. However, we never did get clean towels and two hand towels or wash cloths. Everything was beautiful! Food was delicious and I highly recommend the venue for anyone without mobility difficulties!

My husband and I were very excited to stay here as a family we thought it would be nice for the kids to be able to get fresh air on the beautiful grounds. When making our reservation we were informed about breakfast being available as well as indoor swimming. But when we arrived and asked we were told all those services are canceled and not available. Housekeeping is available on request although it’s not. We requested and never got our room cleaned. And then when they finally came at 7pm bc we requested they informed me they could only take our trash out and couldn’t clean our room. Do not stay here! And we stayed here for 4 days. Very unorganized but prob why they are closing for 2 months.

I’ve had a reservation at this hotel for many months. I called to confirm a few details last night and was informed my reservation was cancelled bc they are closing the hotel to the public from June 1-mid August. No one has informed me, in fact my reservation still shows valid and confirmed. Due to a large event in the are for my dates other hotels are sold out. When did they plan to inform me — when I showed up for my stay?! Truly unbelievable and terrible customer service and management.

Beautiful grounds, staff is friendly, and perfect atmosphere. Was great meeting the manager’s family and can tell they care very much about the property. However we want to make it known that it was very difficult to make a reservation and they are really missing cellar 49. Hoping it comes back! Goosefeather is amazing for what it is, but not for a quick bite or drink. They also are reservation-only even though they are completely dead at the moment. Turning away hotel guests at the door which is understandable given the restaurant’s reputation but there really should be a secondary restaurant for guests to go to. The pub/wine cellar environment was the perfect touch and highly missed. We were told we could order room service from Goosefeather but there is an 18% service charge and a $10 in room dining charge plus taxes on those fees. Note the restaurant is extremely expensive on top of these fees.

A super fun Hidden Gem that we came across this minute for a getaway. Great pool super quiet lots of amenities! Highly highly suggest staying here.

We felt like we were at home away from home w/ a touch of class & elegant ambiance. We enjoyed the heated swimming pool & the dinner was awesome so is the breakfast buffet. The staff are friendly & make us feel special. We will definitely include this place as a get away destination ❤️

The worst place we have ever stayed in. Wouldn't recommend to anyone my wife and I and another couple were booked to stay for 1 week we left after staying 1 day. The place is a total disaster.

Hard to believe how much you guys have DESTROYED… You removed the restaurant… removed the bar in the main house,,,,, PAINTED over antique wood … SAD. Never again.

We held a corporate event here for over 100 people. The updated rooms, the food and the atmosphere are all outstanding. The staff on-site is TOP NOTCH! I highly recommend Tarrytown House Estate for your event or a weekend getaway! You will not be disappointed!

This is our second visit and still love the atmosphere of this estate. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food has been delicious and atmosphere is refreshing. We will be back next time we are in from Dallas.

I had a wonderful stay this weekend! The grounds are beautiful and the estate is fill with such great history. I explored every inch of the place and loved it all! The staff were great and the servers at breakfast were awesome! There was so much available to do just on the grounds that you really don't even have to leave! Highly recommended!

Beautiful property. We stayed in the king mansion. Highly recommend. Peaceful view of the Hudson and NYC from our balcony room. Love loved it. All the staff has been extremely courteous and helpful. Can’t wait to come back again!

Food, setting, location, service and amenities are excellent. If you are staying over, perhaps bring your own pillows, since they have those nice foam ones—OK, but no “Ah” feeling.

It's beautiful here! The best part is it's dog friendly. There's a pet fee, but they left us a barkbox filled with toys and treats in our room. We had buffet style food in their dining room which was pretty good. There's also an indoor and outdoor pool. I'd say the only downside is it was a bit hard to find our room as the layout of the buildings is strange.

I recently stayed at Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson over Labor Day weekend and loved it! When entering the property and driving the roads up the hill to the main lobby, one is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and buildings that harken back to the days of old. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, as are the buildings and rooms, which were exceptionally clean. There are statues and ponds and beautiful scenery every which way you turn. The staff was pleasant and accommodating with any request. We also got room service from their onsite restaurant, Cellar 49, and it was quite good (albeit a bit pricey). I will definitely return to this nostalgic, wonderful property on future visits and I'm sure I will be enveloped in comfort and relaxing style again. Be sure to explore this historical town while there… especially Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, where you can walk on the bridge the Headless Horseman rode across in The Legend of Sleep Hollow book. Also, the grave of Washington Irving is also in the cemetery and his home is nearby. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Attended for a two day corporate conference and really appreciated the venue. Shared snacks and meals for all the various conference spaces was both unique and welcomed. Staff was wonderful and all of our needs were attended to as requires.

This place is historic and beautiful at the same time rooms are very up-to-date and the free continental breakfast is amazing. Beautiful grounds with a nice luxurious touch… Weekday prices are good with weekends going up but still not too expensive for what you get.

Conference and event staff here is very helpful and attentive. The grounds are stunning, with gorgeous views. Rooms could use some refreshing, and a bit of modernization. Food is plentiful, and good. Bartenders at Cellar 49 are excellent.

The good is Beautiful scenery and Great food. The bad is not comfortable mattress, the air conditioning was barely making the room comfortable, and not enough parking is available. I called the front desk several times after midnight reference the air conditioning issue with no answer. Did not sleep good at all including my pregnant wife.
The morning I physically went to the reception desk and they took a percentage off my stay and was very understanding. Not sure why I had this issue but everyone was very pleasant.

The area is lovely and the estate is picturesque! The rooms were mostly very nice — comfortable beds, clean facilities over all. The bathrooms in the room could use a bit of attention — ceiling tiles had some rust and mold. But, very little else as far as complaints go. Friendly staff, close to lots of historic house tours, bars & restaurants. Would definitely return!

I performed the wedding ceremony yesterday and the only that I can say about Terrytown House on Hudson is: I will recommend Terrytown House on Hudson as one of the most beautiful and convenient wedding venues for all New Yorkers. Amazing staff is friendly and professional 5 stars service.

Overall, service and facility is disappointing. The location is good, the room spacious. But. As I walked in I can easily feel facilities here have not been updated for at least a decade, I'm okay with that as long as they work fine and yet. Later the air conditioner in my room was broken, I told the front desk when we went out for dinner and one lady promised me to send an engineer to have a look, and when we got back around 10 nothing was done, nor did we get any feedback. Again I talked to the front desk and after 20min they told me I have to change the room. In this new room AC is fine, it just doesn't have a stool and does have a broken lamp. So I guess this place is poorly staffed and maintained. Next time I'll definitely find a better hotel to spend my night in this area.

It would be fine for a night, but I was here for a week. Couldn't turn off heat in May so room was roasting my first night. Walls are very thin, so lots of noise. Internet is so slow that it's unusable. Connection is often dropped. Made it difficult to do work. Food is fantastically overpriced, and there were issues with my order. I come to the area for business now and then. Won't be staying here again.

Attended for a professional event. Everything from the conference rooms to the catering, service and overall atmosphere (sits on top of a hill with beautiful views! ) will not make you want to book another conference at a different typical hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are well laid out and super comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Giving it 4 stars only because the shower head in my room was broken and had almost no water pressure. Water was also a bit hard. Good stay overall, and a great value.

The place is very clean. It’s grounds are beautifully put together. The staff is respectful as well as helpful. Should any issues arise during your stay the staff is readily available to assist. The rooms are comfy and cozy. Might miss a meeting because the beds are so plush. The rooms seem to be sound proof as I heard nothing. Simply a peaceful enjoyable experience.

I was very clean and pleasant but they want you to pay for everything but the complementary two packets of coffee and two teabags… There's no free continental breakfast and if you order breakfast and wish to eat it in your room you will have to pay an extra $10.00. They also place an $80.00 hold on your debit/credit call for using any of the other things like bottled water etc. It will be released after they check the room the next day at checkout or a 5 to 7 business days for debit cards…!

Very hard to locate at night. GPS drops you off at a desolate location. It takes some time to realize that this is the gate of the hotel. There are no lights and very small sign. Once inside, everything is good. Breakfast is pricey at $25. Water bottles in the room cost $6 each. I drank from the tap. Room is spacious and the TV is huge.

I love coming here. It is like coming home. I have been a guest of the Tarrytown House for almost 15 years. Things have changed some over the years, but it never disappoints. I find the staff friendly and more than helpful. I will be back again soon. Thank you for the wonderful years and memories.

Odd property with seemingly random buildings scattered about. Each with their own motif. Very clean and well kept. Kind of out in the middle of nowhere. Friendly service. Fitness area has raquet ball and indoor pool and hot tub.

I was in room 202. Westchester. I loved the hotel however, there was no hot water. I wanted a nice warm bath. The vending machines ran put of the soda I liked and they were far.

Parking is terrible. There are no where near enough spaces and the locations are not convenient. I stayed in the Putnam wing so perhaps the other wings such as Westchester are better. The flushing the toilet was very weak. The shower water pressure could use some help also. The room was generally clean and the bed was okay. It was not extremely plush or super comfortable but it was adequate. The room could generally use updating. There were many nice pictures of the historical area which was very nice. The rate was low enough that I suppose it was adequate but there are more comfortable options in the area.

Absolutely beyond disappointed. At 12:20am, just as my kids were about ready to fall asleep we experienced a rather significant water leak in our room. After calling the front desk, at least 3 times, then actually walking to the front desk, we were finally given a new room at 12:45am. When we arrived at room 2 we were met with a rather pungent and overwhelming smell of marijuana. Again, had to walk to the front desk and ask to placed in a new room. Finally in a new room, at 1:05am. Pretty confident I won’t stay here again.

A nice place but the service at the reception needs to be improved. Even if the hotel is barely not occupied they crammed us into a small room. It took two more requests to finally get a room which we had requested in our reservation. Not very friendly staff. Still, a very nice location and clean rooms.

Great location next to Tappan Zee Bridge, if you want to for short getaway or just one night is perfect choice. Every room and hall are filled with history. Rooms are clean, plus it's non-smoking hotel.

The rooms are spacious and upgraded. The grounds are beautiful and make you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle, when in actuality, you are only minutes away. Unfortunately, my rating has decreased from a 4 during my visit last year to a 3. The customer service of the front desk staff was just average. For example, when I asked the front desk staff for non-dairy creamer for my coffee from the coffee station in the lobby, they just responded that they don't have any available and were sorry. Mind you, our room was stocked with non-dairy creamer so the front desk staff could have arranged with Housekeeping to have some available. The coffee station was also out of tea and sugar. After the front desk staff's response to the creamer, I dare not ask about these items. Last, before arriving, the front desk staff informed me that the rooms were not equipped with microwaves; however, that they could arrange for one to be placed in our room pending upon availability. Yet when we asked for one upon our arrival, we were informed by front desk staff that it is a fire hazard to have microwaves in the rooms. Either way, I wish we had been given a consistent message regarding the use of microwaves in rooms. To add, the walls are paper thin so you can actually hear conversations and other things occurring in surrounding rooms, and our mattress sunk in the middle.

Lovely staff. The waiters are worm welcome and polite great food too. They are just one in a million. The temp waiters they are good. Jamaicans.

Large estate with an amazing view. Went there for a short corporate retreat. Food was good, staff was very friendly. Since it's a fairly large place you can get lost easily but the staff helped point the way.

The room was fine. Breakfast was good. It was a little too easy to hear other guests in the hallways and adjoining rooms. I'm glad we did not have much luggage to carry up the stairs.

Stayed over the course of 4 days. *Reservation: easy online booking, accepts credit cards *Rooms: On the small side, had a double queen for a family of 3. Beds are way past their bedtime, noisy and cracking. We would wake each other moving in the bed! Rooms have a safe in it but no mini bar. It's a very popular hotel for weddings so you get woken up by people coming back to their room late in the night. Management should try to keep the parties together on the same floor… Showers are clean but only provided 2 bath towels for 3 people. Had to request an additional one every day. *Breakfast: located on the estate, the building has seen better days. Tired carpet and old chairs. Selection is average but have fresh omelette kiosk for the egg lovers! *Dinner: Very decent restaurant on the estate. Excellent selection of wine! Steaks are good. On the pricey side but worth it. No kids menu but the waiter proposed a few options which he requested the chef to make. A+ for the restaurant. *Facilities: Gym and raquetteball court. Well maintained and decent Indoor swimming pool is good but on day 4 got dirty. I don't think it was cleaned once throughout our stay Outdoor swimming pool is forbidden for less than 21 so could not check it out Hot tub was broken Steam room broken too *Parking: plenty of space. No complaints there :) *Estate: great views and very quaint location. Definitely cute *Staff: friendly but not too willing to go the extra mile Overall stay was fine.

The Tarrytown House Estate was a beautiful and really whimsical place to have a ceromony. The sunset overlooking the grass hills, wonderful estate, the beautiful trees and hanging flowers. The reception took place in the hall that had the most amazing view of the garden and with the best service. The servers were thoughtful and with a such a large demanding party, they were really able to take care of our needs. The food was fabulous. As guests for a wedding, the short ribs was delicious and falling off the bone l, and the chicken was with the best tasting seasoning and sauce. The salmon was cooked well but would have preferred a more lemony, butter sauce, than their teriyaki/pozu style sauce. The salmon was still coooked to perfection. We had a fantastic time dancing, drinking, eating. We later got to take our party to the cellar where we got to enjoy cocktails and beers. Watch out though, this place does not condone shots but would rather have your liquor served near or on the rocks. If only they would stay open a little longer, the cellar, could this have made a much greater night. I know 12:30 is late for many but not for a young crowd. However, they were very gracious and really let us enjoy a wonderful wedding experience! Thank you for making our experience and that of the bride and groom's, and their family members a wonderful time. I work in wedding planning and this wedding venue is fantastic for a 50-80 ppl wedding and beautiful.

Such a lovely location. A great place to hold a wedding! All guests can stay on the premises without the need for traveling to and from a number of different locations. Beautiful!

Nice sports activities. Clean rooms… and nice location. Green stuff in jacuzzi​, smoke alarm battery died at 2 am and chirped till I yanked off wall. Handle kept falling off bathroom door had to call 2 times to get it fixed. Really not what I expected at a place like that.

Beautiful grounds with very run-of-the-mill rooms. It's a very romantic atmosphere but the regular rooms stop that dead. Not sure why they didn't at least maintain the aesthetic when they expanded. Overall an enjoyable experience. And if you aren't in your room too much, that won't be a big drawback.

The grounds are pretty, rooms are very simple and corporate looking… I would probably recommend staying in the mansion for more of the historic feel… the heated indoor pool is wonderful! The $25 buffet breakfast is way overrated and not worth it IMHO — head into town for cafe and diner fare so you can enjoy great local food!

Second time staying at Tarrytown House, loved it even more this time. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and air conditioned! Ashlee at the front desk was very helpful with our check in process.

The location was easily accessible. The staff was amazing. They were accommodating to my family. The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated. The grounds were lovely. The indoor family pool, racquetball court and jacuzzi were so much fun. My family had a great time. I highly recommend this hotel and because of the amazing service provided, we plan to return.

Hubby and I spent a night here in the fall, and it was a wonderful time. It's tucked away in the hills on a sprawling estate, and it was a gorgeous drive. Our room was simple but elegant; I really appreciate a comfy bed. After a wonderful dinner in their terrific little restaurant, we swam in their indoor pool and sat in the hot tub and sauna. We slept like the dead and woke up feeling refreshed and energized. I can't wait to go back!

The property is amazing but as far as the rooms they are far. The hotel is starting to age, my TV in my room is well out dated and the cable is well out dated. The room is nice but not luxury lol. The walls are paper thin, the dude next to me in his room snoozed all night. A lot of things in the room are loose and broken. I actually would prefer to stay at the spring hill suites in tarrytown. The restaurant very good but very small menu. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Nice place on beautiful grounds in Westchester county. Very comfortable king sized bed. Staff was kind and friendly and great sports center. Close to Palisades Clever. Will be my go to staycation location.

The staff at this hotel is very friendly and helpful. They even ask to bring your bags to your room. The layout of the hotel is a bit confusing due to the multiple buildings but my wife and I had a great time.

Had a company event there and stayed the night. The location is really cool. Obviously the architecture of the buildings is beautiful and the surrounding area is breathtaking. The staff was friendly and patient, although perhaps not the most knowledgeable about what they do and don't have to offer. The rooms were nice, clean. The bar was super cozy and had some nice local IPAs. Overall, great experience.

It's a nice estate that is well situated with lush greenery, but it's a bit old and tired despite some efforts to refresh the rooms. It's not bad, just not anywhere close to a high end of luxury hotel. The staff is very friendly and I had an enjoyable stay. The thing that just seemed out of place were the European style statues in the outdoor areas, which just clash with the rest of the estate. Lovely place as long as you have appropriate expectations.

My first impression was greatly exceeded as Rob at the front desk set the tone with his hospitality and customer service and all at the late hour of 12:15AM. The room experience did not disappoint as you could feel the richness of Tarrytown’s history. The morning brought breathtaking views of the well-manicured grounds and a wonderful breakfast in the Biddle Mansion. Their recreational options surprised me with their tennis, basketball, and racquetball courts along with bocce ball and the indoor pool – the highlight of the trip was seeing their adult only outdoor pool that my wife and I will surely enjoy during our next visit.

The service at this hotel is so exemplary, that it made me completely overlook how mediocre the room itself was. Without exception, every single member of the staff was phenomenal. I will definitely be going back.

Rooms are very unimpressive. But, the "grounds" are awesome. The first morning they were testing the smoke alarms and gave no warning. Also, the water was brown and smelled/tasted nasty. Excellent location and very convenient to the city. I would stay again, but only if I can get a deal.
