I recently hosted an event here and it was beyond my expectations. From the moment my guest walked in they were astounded by the incredible view of the NYC skyline. The food was excellent, everyone commented about how delicious and generous the portions were. The staff was attentive, friendly and professional. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a one of a kind and memorable place to host any function.

We booked the Manhattan balcony king room. We were so excited until we got out of the elevator
The rugs in the hall are nasty. The room had one little light the view wasn’t the best because we were on the 8th floor building blocked the view. Bathroom is so small.
No extra chairs to sit down.
Not worth the money.

Was there for a private event last night and their rooftop was amazing awesome views and great atmosphere.

The Boro hotel is amazing. The rooms have great views and the beds are very comfortable. Their bathroom amenities smell amazing and clean wonderfully. The restaurant has great service and even better food Highly recommend.

Wish we could’ve stayed longer. The bed was super comfy and the room service food and wine was delicious. The view from our balcony was Amazing! They even made sure to have a cab waiting for our early 5am departure the next morning. Now that’s what I call Great Service! Thanks Team Boro!

Great place! Pizza was fantastic too. Unfortunately the waitress was by far the rudest person we encountered on our trip to NYC. That’s pretty sad.

Beautiful views, very attentive staff, beautiful hotel, good food & great coffee at the coffee shop in the lobby. Stayed here this past weekend for a weeding and loved everything about this hotel. It was a great stay with the Boro Hotel.

Really disappointed and really will not come back for the future! When we stayed at the hotel, the house keeper came to clean the room without our consent (we already put the “privacy sign”on the room door), and They threw my personal stuff, that was really horrible! I don’t know if they threw them by accident or stole them in purpose! Thank you for ruining my trip, I really don’t recommend people choose this hotel!

Absolutely love this place and the staff last night/this morning were seriously amazing. Just so accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend Boro to everyone. Thank you again Boro.

Nice location and service. Decently sized rooms for NYC but all amenities needed to be custom ordered (toiletries, fridge, glasses to drink out of-requiring room service order). Coffee was available 6-7am in lobby and there's a great rooftop bar to see Manhattan Skyline or you can eat food from restaurant on roof. Free wine happy hour 4-5pm in restaurant for guests but there is a mandatory resort fee/day of $20 to cover costs.

Got the margherita pizza, greens salad, and chicken wings. Wings were decently spicy and tasty. Pizza was pretty good too. Overall, satisfied with the too and would go again. Server was not the friendliest, but sort of par for the course in NYC. Most other servers were pretty nice tho.

Stayed in the corner Manhattan room and views were spectacular. Also enjoyed the roof top bar overall very modern contemporary design. Only negative no parking.

Yeleiny, whose absolutely gorgeous, is fantastic. The place is nice. Rooms are clean and the room service was great. I live in The City but just wanted to do something different. I'll definitely be back … The restaurant was pretty cool too. I think it's called BeBees …

Honestly don’t come here to this hotel. It so bad that I tried to check out the next day but because apparently I got package deal I wouldn’t get my money back. There was no information about this place throughout the hotel (usually hotels have set up in ones room) I try to search for anymore information I can get and even browsed on their website said nothing. I was charge a deposit fees per night which would’ve been nice to know about. $300 for 3 nights. With that being said I got an unfinished room. The room has 1 light fixture that doesn’t brighten anything up, the only light I really has is from the balcony. There’s no drawers, no hangers for the clothes, one little night stand. The bathroom door slides, but if you slide it all the way back, good luck getting it out. Also bathroom door doesn’t have a. I was trying to relax a cleaning staff try to barge in without knocking. Thankfully I had the room double locked so no one got in. The balcony is terrible, city view my ass balcony hurts to stand on and just one chair out there. And absolutely no parking.

This is by far the best hotel to stay in no matter where you're going in NYC! I have been about 4-5 times now, even have brought friends and family back. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, and they treated us like family. I will never stay anywhere other than here! Can't wait to book my next trip! Love you guys!

Super nice hotel with remarkably great food and amazing cocktails. I really enjoy the industrial chic design… but that rooftop is killer. The panoramic view of Manhattan is simply the best! Gotta try the Isko Passion and the Matcha'Do About nothing!

Outstanding Boutique Hotel just 7 minutes from Mid-Town Manhattan. A beautifully renovated structure which folks a tremendous void and created a Magnificent optimistic opportunity for fire neighborhood restoration. An incredibly gifted and devoted, enthusiastic and passionate staff which Always Deliver. Great rooms and great. Love this place.

This is really ridiculous, I am so disappointed and really will never think about you as an option for the future. And will never recommend as well. This is NOT ethical at all and this is called fraud! Yesterday (21 May) it showed me on booking. Com that I have until 22 May, 23:50 hr to cancel my booking. And now (22 May 2:56 AM) I cannot cancel neither change the dates because of your rules to cancel 3 days before my arrival! why your rules were not showing on the screen yesterday and when I booked? and it was saying that I have 2 days before arrival. Thanks for ruining my trip! and I will make sure to spread my experience everywhere.

Honestly, I expected more from this place. Firstly, the simple things; — The rooms are spacious and stylish but sparsely furnished. The simplest of things are lacking, like tea and coffee making facilities or a complimentary bottle of water. — Servicing of the room is the bare minimum. I found that the bed was made and the bin was emptied, but I found glasses and cups were left unwashed and unmoved. I had one day where used towels were taken but not replenished. Shampoo and body wash is also in short supply. These things are forgivable in budget hotels, but this hotel does not position itself in that market. On check in to the room there was a noticeable smell of cigarettes. When I highlighted this to the staff I expected to be offered an exchange of room. Instead, a very polite gentleman was sent to my room with a bottle of febreeze… Thanks… On a positive note, you will find the evening bar staff very sociable and welcoming; a saving grace for this hotel! In summary; this hotel aspires to be trendy, stylish and well regarded, but unfortunately, its lethargic attitude and half hearted approach to a satisfying customer experience leaves it falling short of expectations. Would I stay here again? Yes I would; but only out of convenience to my place of work; not desire.

Decent area, decent price, street parking available, but the service is terrible. I waited a half an hour for ice to be sent upstairs. I had to ask for a microwave because there wasn't one in the room. The dinner and breakfast menu did not offer many choices. I was also told that everything is prepared as stated on the menu. NO CHANGES! That's not too great. Especially, if you have a fiance that has certain food allergies. I won't be coming back here. Very happy to check out.

Stood here as a staycation for my boyfriend's birthday. It's a beautiful hotel. The room with the soaking tub and Queens views was perfect. The only issues I had with this place are that there were barely any lights, so at night it was a bit difficult to see… and I paid extra for the breakfast. Though it was delicious, it was a bit disappointing because you'd expect eggs in a "continental" breakfast. We were served coffee, an assortment of danishes, toast with jam and butter, and yogurt with fruits, granola and honey. When checking in, I had asked the woman about room service for breakfast, but she told me that they didn't serve breakfast to the rooms anymore. Not Sure if she got confused, but I would've rather paid for the breakfast they had on the menu in our room. Overall, I did like the place and wouldn't mind going back.

Just book this place for four nights as our second choice. the first hotel we had in mind sold out well because I did the hotel last minute… the first hotel we had on mind was cheaper and it came with free breakfest witch was amazing for the price and it was very nice new building and all well after finding out that it was sold out we found this one loved it from the pictures but! no breakfast and it was I believe 60$ more then what we planed on spending witch sucked because no brackets I know I know I'm pointing that out a lot but, come on who wouldn't want that every morning. We are flying from Chicago so after booking this my hopes are very high on spending the money with a good stay and peaceful one too! a good view and good staff so hopefully I can give this place a good review. Hope the extra money was with it, well find out Saturday.

Cool hotel, very modern. Rooms are very minimalistic, not a lot of furniture. Great views, bathtub is cool, direct TV and it's remote aren't. Balcony was nice. I would recommend to younger crowd.

I love the decor! The heavy drapes darken the room when preferred but when opened, the flood of sunlight is amazingly refreshing. The balcony is by defintion, a balcony but it's nothing to get excited about. The view of Manhattan is more than enough reason to go out onto it and take pictures tho. The rooms are not expensive either. Occasionally, I may book a room to host private massage sessions… Chair or Table Massage.

Boro reminds me of high school if it filled with dorms instead of classrooms. Everything is very laid back. The rooms are rather basic but roomy. Overall not a bad spot for kids in there mid to late 20’s.

We stayed here 10 nights at the end of 2017. The hotel is in general good, rooms are clean and design is nice. The train is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The last but not the least, chambermaids are noisy. They speak loudly between them in the hallway and when you are sleeping it is really a pain. Besides, when people arrive or leave their rooms, the doors slam loudly. What a shame for a four stars hotel…

Large rooms compared to Manhattan hotels, granted the location allows for that. Trains to the city aren't too far from the hotel, about 8 to 15 mins walk depending on which line you take. Staff is responsive with any requests. Facilities are pretty decent too. Nice decor. Minimalistic vibe.

Great place, amazing views of Manhattan from the balconies. Very kind abd helpful staff and the area is safe enough. Just one stop away from Manhattan by train. Good connections with the trains in order to get fast to the typical landmarks of the city.

Elegant place, with sparse decor, all concrete and wood. The standard room is much larger than in the Manhattan hotels I've been at. Make sure to request a room facing Manhattan though, as the ones looking out upon Queens are nothing special. There is a gym in the basement, it's sparsely equipped (one elliptical and one treadmill plus some weights). The breakfast is great, with delicious Greek yogurt and honey granola and the coffee tastes great (that's the drip coffee, and yes it's really good). There is not much immediately next to the hotel, but there are several really good things to see and do in Long Island City and Astoria (Noguchi Museum, MoMA PS1, Museum of the Moving Image just to name a few museums) and several subway stops are within walking distance. I recommend it for a change of pace and scenery from the Manhattan hotels.

Nice room. Good responsive staff. Soaker tub was great. Good view. Only complaint would be to have a softer bed, and definitely softer sheets. Overall, a very good value for the area.

Former industrial building converted into a 4 star hotel. Trendy, clean, minimalist deco. Great view of Manhattan (for half the rooms, with balcony). Huge rooftop terrace. The mix of concrete, wood and glass is very modern and cosy. The rooms are spacious and bright.

Good hotel with a European feel that is bohemian while still offering the usual contemporary amenities. Staff is friendly and the breakfast definitely beat what I've gotten elsewhere. Location is a just a quick walk and train ride away from Manhattan.

A little bit off the beaten path but really great views to compensate if you stay up on the higher floors. Had some problems with the guests next to us blasting music and the cleaning crew not replacing shampoo and gel after some days but both were resolved quickly. Breakfast not included but neighborhood has some great bagel/deli shops near the subway. The gym is a few machines in a room without windows unfortunately. There's a cute restaurant being built in lobby. Free newspaper every morning. Staff are very nice. Would stay again! That view!

Has great staff and great location but they opened before they fully completed construction. Stuff didn't work in our room and from the outside very little signage and it looked like it wasn't quite finished. Once they complete their punch list it will be a hot spot. But they need to get on the minor repairs asap while reviewers are still keeping an open mind.

Great place! It's New York so it's difficult to find parking around or near the hotel. But overall, a great experience. Staff was knowledgeable and awesome! Room somewhat small but the view is beautiful. I loved it!

4 star wanna be hotel with 2 star amenities. Location is okay. No iron or luggage holder in room. No complimentary coffee… It's amazing that you spend $250 on a hotel and they don't provide coffee in this day and age. Looks cool and hip though.

The location is great. It's a quick subway ride to Manhattan and close to coffee and restaurants. The decor is updated, and our experience was great. We used the valet parking, and they allowed us to drop our bags early before check in. We will definitely be back. The rooms could use a little more updating, and the staff could be a bit more professional. We walked up on a male staff member yelling very loudly at and berating another staff member via phone outside the hotel. It was very uncomfortable.

DO NOT VALET THEY WILL STEAL YOUR STUFF! Stayed 2 weeks ago and was told by the front desk that my car would b secure in their underground lot. When I got my car returned to me my glove box was wide open and my Tom Ford shades and case were gone. After constant phone tag with the hotel and their insurance company they finally told me they are not responsible and couldn't refund me for my glasses and not even the twenty five dollars I paid for valet. I would never even think about staying here again. The manager barely speaks English and is not helpful or understanding what so ever. The staff has no clue who's in charge one lady at front desk even said she doesn't know who her boss is. This place is completely unprofessional your better off staying anywhere else around the area. If 0 stars was an option it's what I would give them.

Very nice hotel with great minimalistic design elements. You have to love it though some basic 4 star elements are missing: coffee, thee and ironing in your room would be nice, especially for a week stay. Also the gym is basic. Some dumbbells, a treadmill and spinning cycle. In the corner were some unpacked items, ready for installation. Though this hotel has 1 year of reviews, it's not yet done building like the gym. The dining area wasn't finished yet and also the roof terrace wasn't open for a drink or a bite. Too bad with such a beautiful view on down town Manhattan. Nevertheless a gem in all your hotel choices. Hopefully they will have the time and means soon to finish everything as this hotel is more then worth coming back for.

I recently stayed in this hotel and for the price I expected a bit more. Bed: terrible mattress, it had two holes on both sides where people usually lay down Restroom: this was one of the only good things on the room Entrance door to the room: if you let it to close by itself, it closes and makes a loot of noise, you can even hear the doors of your neighbors as it was yours. We were on the 3rd floor just above the main entrance and there was a lot of noise, every other day a garbage truck or something similar arrived around 4 am and stayed for almost 30 min making a lot of noise and not letting us sleep. Room Service: not the best, we were not given the necessary shampoo and shower gels as needed per night, we needed to call the reception asking for those. Also on another night we did not get the necessary hand towels, we also had to call the reception to get some. (Thank God staff was always nice and helpful) Location: it is located on an industrial neighborhood so you won't find anything to do around in case you want to go back to the hotel rest a little bit and then do something nearby. Breakfast: 2 slices of cheese, 2slices of bread, tiny Greek yogurt, a small portion of fruit, coffee/tea/juice and on the side honey, oatmeal for the yogurt, jam and butter. That is the continental breakfast, included if you choose that option and you can also order omelets, pancakes among others. Waiter and waitress were super helpful.

Solid 4 stars for sure. Very clean accommodations. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights at about $100 a night. Close to the subway and had a SPECTACULAR view of the city. The lobby was nice and the halls reminded me of a hospital but that sort of thing isn't high on my list of priorities. Rooms were a bit on the small side but for NYC where square footage is a premium, I expected that. The walls seemed a bit thin (I could hear the room next door) so I'm glad we didn't bring our small kids. You have to call the front desk and request an iron, but they were prompt about bringing one up. I checked for bed bugs and signs of rats:none present. To be safe I stored opened snacks in the safe so not to attract them. Oh, and they can hold your baggage for a few hours after you checkout if you need. We booked a late flight back so this service made it possible to get one more day of sightseeing in before we left. Would definitely stay here again if we ever get a chance to return without kids.

Dope spot. Very warm and the rooms are comfy. Nice after hours bar downstairs in case u want a night cap as well. The place is also pet friendly.

A modern-industrial, but still comfortable and home-like. A great spot that's close to transit and competitively priced. Well recommended.

Hotel is decent for the price, but the management didn't care about the people smoking in the room next to me. Twice. They tried moving me two times instead of telling the other occupants that it's no smoking. The first time I agreed, but the second time was enough. Sara at the front desk told me that nobody would answer the door, so they can't go in. I guess she forgot they have the keys to every room… the manager said she didn't smell smoke in the hall, so she couldn't do anything. I asked if she want s to come in my room and smell the smoke, but she declined and Said another manager would take care of it. I'm not sure why smelling smoke in the hall is a deciding factor, but people don't sleep in your halls. They sleep in the rooms. If they did sleep in the halls it would be pretty gross. No carpets, no decorations, paint or anything your expect, really. Not one time did I see anybody cleaning, the elevator has rust all over, same sticky spots inside from day one to day seven. Second manager offered to move us (again) instead of taking care of the problem. I informed her that I'm not moving again and literally had to deal with it MYSELF by talking to the other guest when I smelled the smoke again. Asked for towels and waited two hours because "everybody is running late". Question: does he bring the towels from home or what? Because I stayed up two extra hours so I could shower before bed. Had to actually go back downstairs and ask for the towels. No apology, nothing.

This place is amazing! The staff is friendly, there is a open bar, and the rooms are clean. Cozy… And fresh! It has kind of like a loft look, and I love it. Everything worked perfectly!

I really enjoyed the modern take on the hotel. The view was nice and they had many things to offer. The staff was more then amazing. Only thing I can say was that there is no dinning restaurant. But they do have a kitchen that makes some great dishes that will deliver to your room. I would definitely stay here again.

The Boro Hotel felt like I was out camping. The rooms are below hotel standards and not deserving of a 4 star this is a 2-3 star hotel, jail, or concentration camp. The location says LIC but feel more like the old streets of Brooklyn. It is very secluded. The staff wears no uniform, making one uncertain who works there from who does not. There is very limited street parking where you will not feel comfortable leaving a luxury vehicle on. Valet is from 6:30AM to 11:00PM only. You have to request standard items such as an iron board and it smelled like its stored in their local kitchen. I was really disappointed… This review is new as my reservation was April 2016.

The room was nice but the service was horrible. They take money out of your account whenever they feel like it to make you think you have money left. Really took y'all 9 days to accept $151 from my bank. Also need to indicate that y'all also want to hold an additional $100 for rooms damages or room service. Never staying here ever again. Faulty advertisement.

It's a nice hotel. We had a room on 11th floor, great view. The middle rooms has a door between them so sound travels easily. Not that nice getting repeatedly awoken in the middle of the night from loud sex by neighbours. In-room aircon is relatively quiet.

I've never been more dissapointed with a stay in LIC. Things advertised on the website aren't a reality. There is no rooftop lounge. Not even a chair to sit exists up there. The balconies can pass for a Soho fire escape (again no chairs there either) $10 breakfast voucher that only gets you seasonal fruit and miniature muffins, along with only drip coffee. An additional $100 per night surcharge that's not mentioned until you reach the hotel. No real front check-in desk ("concierge" sits at a table with a laptop) Basic amenities not available in room (iron, ironing board, ice bucket, fridge etc) You have to call downstairs to request these things. Oh, and don't bother writing management any complaints or concerns. They don't respond back to you! Skip this bad idea of a hotel.

Clean in aesthetic and in upkeep. Very welcoming staff and a nice bar. The views are the best.

I recently stayed at this hotel for my sister's birthday. The decor of the hotel is amazing the view is over-the-top and the customer service is phenomenal. Thank you James for making stay exceptional. You cater to our wants and needs no matter how frivolous it was. I will be booking more reservations in the future.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views of the city. The room was fantastic with a great AC, cool design and hip features. The breakfast was great. Go to the roof for amazing views of the city. Just a few minutes from the City.

Great stay. Booked last minute for work. Hotel views are spectacular! Very modern space. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay here. Quick walk to the N train got me to 7th and 57th in 10 minutes. 10/10 would stay here again.

Doesn't even look like a hotel, no signs or anything on the door. No bell boy to pick our luggage. To them it is their minimalist design, to me a half built construction, no paintings on the walls and smells concrete, not enough light in the room, not even a curtain on the window. I'm not commenting on the breakfast, they don't even have cheese or poultry products or even cereal on the buffet.

Modern, clean, simple. The staff was very polite, courteous and accommodating. We had the perfect view of the Manhattan skyline. At the time of my stay, the parking lot at the hotel was still under construction; however, I was allowed to park my car in the hotel's driveway, which was very helpful given that the chance of finding a parking spot around the hotel is almost as difficult as winning the lotto. (hint). More shelving space and hanging hooks would make the stay more home like, better lighting by the bathroom sink would be a plus. Would I stay at the Boro again? A definite YES!

The Boro hotel deserves 6 stars! Blew my expectations away, both with service and the quality of the hotel. Its a very personal, boutique hotel, however it is over the top. You could place this hotel in anywhere in NYC and it would be the nicest hotel in the area. They really paid attention to detail and put something something pretty amazing. The rooms feel more like cozy/luxurious apartments, except with Hotel Living amenities. I would most def recommend this hotel and I look forward to visiting again.

Had a great evening on the town and crashed at this amazing new hotel. The staff were gracious and room was outstanding. Floor to ceiling windows and a balcony with amazing view of the manhattan skyline. The room was larger than I expected. The bed and shower were luxurious and I slept like a baby. The location is easy to get to with 2 subway stations only a couple of blocks away… about 10 minutes and your are on manhattan island. Truly a gem… I will return!

Comfortable, convenient and very successful stay at the brand new Boro Hotel. The customer service was exceptional from the time we walked in until our departure. Highly recommended!
