The most disappointing experience. If you are familiar with staying at other JW Marriott hotels this is subpar at best. The rooms are completely outdated. When you book your stay you are not told there is a $35 a night resort fee added. The housekeeping services were poor. Our bed was made daily but dishes and glasses were left in the room for the entire 5 days piling up in the corner. We had to call and request fresh towels. The concierge service was terrible. I asked for spa reservations for a mani/pedi and instead of booking me at the hotel spa, I was sent two blocks away where my feet were soaking in a tin baking dish and was surrounded by fruit flies. I was told by the salon owner that they use razor blades on your feet even though it was against the law in NY. There are hundreds of spas in NYC and one in the hotel. This was where they recommend their guests have services! We asked on two separate nights for upscale dinner recommendations. The first night we were sent to a chain Italian restaurant that is in every city in America. The second night we clarified that we wanted fine dining and she made a reservation at a chain steak house. I clarified upscale and told her we did not care about the distance from the hotel when asking for these reservations. When checking out after our 5 night stay we asked for bell service and was told it was an hour wait. Would NEVER return or recommend. It is very expensive for the quality and service. I have had better service at a Courtyard Marriott. Called the hotel manager, submitted an online complaint and called Marriott rewards to express my disappointment over a month ago and have heard nothing back from any of them. Don't spend the money. There are so many nice hotels in NYC, don’t pay $800 a night for this kind of service.
