Do not expect to sleep well at this hotel. While I expect a certain level of noise when in an NYC hotel, this hotel was unlike any other. When we went to sleep the first night, music was blasting through the walls. We thought it might be an event somewhere and tried to be patient. The second night when music was blasting, we called the front desk and they said it’s because of their hotel bar; our room was directly on top of it. They offered us ear plugs which did not help at all. After not asking how my stay was at check out, I let them know we did not sleep at all because their own bar kept their guests awake. They said they’ll waive the service fee we were charged…$25. We thought it was a beautiful building, nice room, great location. But hotel night sleeps are supposed to be an escape and I’m so exhausted from my supposed to be relaxing nights.

Lovely restaurant next door our room was with an extendable before for two of our grandchildren staying with us and it was really spacious!

We stayed on the seventh floor this past weekend. We splurged for our birthday and paid twice the price is normally go. For the price we paid, I was extremely disappointed. It started with our room smelling like urine. We called the front desk and they denied they smelled anything. They did open the next door room for the smell to be different yet very strong with the under tone of the urine. (It could be mold or must smell). They told us there were no more options. And didn’t recognize there was a strong smell. However felt the need to spray Febreeze in the hallway. We then figured out the AC wasn’t working. Disappointed in our choices, we decided to stay in the room if they could fix the AC. As we were getting dressed for our event, maintenance came in and out of the room for about a half hour. Once fixed, it helped the smell a bit. Later that night both my friends and my allergies went ramped. Having troubles breathing. I really feel there may be a mold issue. They offered nothing to compensate our troubles and called management today and got a small credit. However, they never gave back our incident deposit. Needless to say, we will be looking to use that “credit” at an affiliated hotel. Not this one. Just a bummer of a way to start your weekend escape.
