Great location on Canal near multiple subway lines. Club is not open. But rooms are large by NYC standards, beds are super comfy,
Bathroom with walk-in shower is nice, and view from higher rooms is awesome. Hotel could use some modernization and amenities are limited due to low staffing: covid Recommended due to location and great nights sleep.

Small and quaint, handicap friendly. Walls are thin and because its compact, you can hear everyone in the hallway and the next room. If you are a platinum member, they have nice lounge on the 21st floor with free happy hour and free breakfast.

I booked a room here this past weekend in celebration of my boyfriend's birthday. The location is amazing and close to just about everything that you could ever possibly need. It's minutes away from Soho, located near many delicious restaurants, hip late night bars, and there's even a classic New York city Deli a couple blocks away. The check-in process was very smooth. All the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The woman who checked us in was specifically amazing. She was a beautiful brown girl who clearly knew what she was doing. Her name was Alexis. Alexis was very sweet and made our check-in process very quick and easy. She even went out of her way to give my boyfriend and I complimentary bottled water after hearing me obnoxiously complain about the heat. She was very patient and kept me abreast of what she was doing throughout the process. It was about 90 degrees that day, so her simple complimentary gesture definitely made me smile and even made me feel a little special. When we got upstairs to the room, I was in AWE by the view. We had a gorgeous view of the city skyline including the empire state building that set such a romantic vibe, especially in the evening. Honestly I have nothing negative to say. The only odd thing that I did remember was that they ran out of washcloths. (I thought that was a little strange. ) Honestly, overall I had a great time and we definitely enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the Sheraton Tribeca team. Keep up the good work.

Located easy walking distance to Soho, Chinatown, Little Italy, East Village, and many other areas. Our room looked to be recently renovated — on the smaller side, but nice and clean finishes. There's some street noise and neighbor noise from thin walls, but from what I hear that's to be expected in the city. Bed was very comfortable. There is a rooftop bar with a reportedly great view, but access is limited to club rooms and SPG platinum members. You can buy access for $30/day per person. Would stay here again.

I have stayed there twice and I must say that I am still not disappointed.
The rooms are spacious with a very nice view. The hotel is very well located close to two metro. Right in front of the hotel is the hype neighborhood of Soho. It is a few minutes from little Italy and Chinatown and 10 minutes walk from the world one trade center…

The reason for our stay was to attend a wedding in a nearby building. We checked in around 5 and unpacked 3 people into a cramped closet. There are no drawers to put small items in, just a large unnecessary desk and a few shelves. We had to wait several times to use the elevator which was a hassle when trying to meet people at a designated time. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice but the shower made a mess on the floor. The buffet breakfast included with our room was OK but so not worth the money if you have to pay for it. Eggs, bacon, sausage, and potato tots were the hot items. There was 1 waffle maker, and a small bowl of fruit for everyone. In general this is a great place to stay if you have an event in the tribeca area or in Chinatown.

Ideal location to visit New York one can walk to One World (15mn) metro around the corner which leads you to the South West North quickly.

In bad location, many bums around, retired from Times Square and Central Park.

Excellent Hotel with good value for money.

Great hotel! I stayed here for two nights and had a really nice, comfortable stay. The room has most of the basics (no fridge or microwave) and everything was very clean. The space in the bathroom is tight, but it's NYC so that's to be expected. Really convenient location, good business center and friendly staff. I'd definitely stay there again!

Very good, the hotel and the room nothing to plead for. On the area, Chinatown, not much but there are several metros close by.

If I am going solo in the city, this is a very good business hotel. Not really child friendly and rooms are a little small (unless you get the presidential suite. ) Club lounge is decent, but has been up and down over the years (been staying here on and off since 2011) due to kitchen coordination. When the hotel first opened, food came from the down stairs kitchen. Bacon, sausage, eggs, potato dish… then they stopped and only had continental… then they started up again. A real hit or miss but a quick 10 minute walk opens up a lot of alternatives. Dim sum in Chinatown is one. Room service has definitely improved in quality. Italian is the center of attention. Veal bolognese is excellent. David Tom is the best! Always a warm welcome when I have a stay here.

The room was pretty small, which is to be expected for NYC, and the wardrobe was small. There is no refrigerator to hold drinks. The Cafe closes early, and the restaurant is average at best. The room was clean and the mattresses comfortable. My big issue was that two of the elevators were out the entire stay, making it difficult and uncomfortable to get to my floor. I was told that they called someone but it wasn't fixed for my two night stay. It was very chilly and when I asked for an extra blanket, they brought two sheets up instead. Not exactly a blanket. I do not recommend staying here.

A good value with a convenient location (close to shops, restaurants, subways). One recommendation (in case management reads these reviews), would be to re-design the client flow at check-in. When the front desk is busy, clients walking in from the street are “greeted” with a wall of people, many of whom it’s hard to tell if they’re in line, or just waiting for someone, and the first impression given is one of disorder. I wasn’t crazy about my check in experience, in other words. But staff are friendly, and doing the best they can. The rooms are, as others have noted, “new-York-sizes. ” (Small). But I liked how Sheraton has thought of small but useful details like many power outlets and a cool little ledge by the front door to put keys or other (see photo). I would definitely stay here again. The 21st floor “club lounge” was an added bonus, and would be terrific when it’s warm enough to use the terrace and snap photos of Manhattan or just relax in the sun (Note: only certain room rates qualify for Club Room Access — it will be noted on your key envelope).

Overall ok but definitely didn't live to the expectations of a 4-star hotel. Rooms were alright, nothing extraordinary, no bath tub, small wardrobe. Iron and hair drier were available in the room though. Almost no outside noise during the night. The most disappointing part was the breakfast — almost no variety (5-6 items overall, repeating every day), no fruits or vegetables, bad coffee and (sometimes) old milk. Since you'll be staying at Canal street, I strongly recommend you go out and grab a brunch at one of the many local places offering great, varied cuisine for reasonable prices.

For a sheraton hotel of this price class really very disappointing. The hotel is old ok. There is nothing in itself to complain about as far as the building is concerned. But more is expected of a sheraton, especially since the enormous price difference must be justified. We had paid extra more to get one of the rooms in the upper floors. This bidder lounge access. The lounge is ridiculous. Every waiting room of a hospital is better. The breakfast under all sau. A few dry croissants some muesli and two banana. Really we've already had pensions in Indonesia that have served better. For 200 dollar the night you have to offer more. The only good thing was the view (only from the 15th floor) and the friendly staff. I rather advise something else for half the price. The skyline can also be enjoyed from the empire state building.

The rooms are pretty standard for any comfortable hotel anywhere in the US. They have a comfortable lobby with a restaurant and a breakfast/coffee shop (none of which I use). Chinatown, Soho, Tribeca, and Little Italy are all easily walkable from the place. Be aware that they do not have rollaways for the rooms (fire code reasons), and that whether you get free Wi-Fi or pay $10 per day will depend on who you happen to speak with at the desk (some people will give you the code, others will tell you to pay).

Hotel was clean. Great location and workout facilities. Was a litte slow getting people checked in and out. Decent happy hour.

Expected more from a Sheraton property. Room had barely any space to put you clothes away, just a tiny wardrobe. Bathroom was pretty worn, and housekeeping was always very late in the day and erratic: one day they missed leaving flannels, another day there was no bathroom mat. Breakfast was pretty basic, and the Starbucks at the lobby closed at 2:00pm (! ) Friendly staff, though.

This hotel's location is very good, it's close to 2 Subway stations so transportation is easy. It's also within walking distance to Chinatown, where I go for food everyday during my trip. My room was okay, a bit small. Maybe because it's in the corner shared with two other rooms. The room did not come with a small fridge, so we have to make sure to not have any leftovers. We couldn't buy fruits or anything that requires refrigeration. Other than that, it's a neat little accommodation convenient for getting around the city.

Another great Sheraton experience. The location was very convenient for getting to other venues around NYC, and close to different subway stations. The walls were a bit too thin for my like and I could hear hallway conversations too well. Like any other Sheraton, Wi-Fi has to be purchased separately if you book from a third party website. The staff was extremely friendly including an airport shuttle associate.

The location is very good. But relatively quiet (the street is heard everywhere and always). A restaurant at a hotel table, no attention. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Given the low cost, the option is quite good.

First off the hotel is super lux looking. It's exceptionally clean and the staff is very friendly. They bumped up our room for no extra charge and were kind enough to store all of our bags for us. They gave us access to a VIP Lounge that had a private roof top patio, food, beverages, a computer/Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating. Once we got to the room the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and there was even a couch with a pullout bed a comfortable chair and an ottoman, plus a table with chairs. I would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend staying here if you're in the city. It's close to shops and everything else Chinatown and Tribeca has to offer.

Not sure how to express my experience in words. We are thinking about spending the last 2 nights of our stay here in another hotel. We have been here a week now. The rooms are ok, a bit small but comfortable. Beds are very good. Heating works in the room and you can even open a window for fresh air! The fitness room is perfect! Also the area where the hotel is located is very central!
The thing I find "very very bad" is the service in the hotel! From reception to cleaning to coffee bar to lounge… I am not sure what the staff thinks service is all about, to me it is an unpleasant experience and that while the name Sheraton and the prices might make you think otherwise.
Rooms are not cleaned in the morning, someone can come at until 18 to clean your room. Very chaotic, if they clean while you are in the room you have to stand and watch! How awkward! (For us as well as for the person cleaning) Refills of shampoo sometimes forgotten. One cleaner did not even knock on the door before entering!
When you complain at reception desk and ask for cleaning at 10 in the morning… this helps for only 1 day, then you have to complain again. But hey I have to understand that there is a special schedule for housekeeping and one girl has to do two floors, so …! I am thinking so what? Then hire 2 girls or boys and divide the rooms so they are cleaned before 13! Sort out the schedule!

Excellent, courteous staff! Everyone was super friendly … paid keen attention to my status and provided all the information and details I needed. Gave me an upgraded room with an excellent view! Club Room has a spectacular view and an outside deck as well!

The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was small but not uncomfortable. The bed was perfect. The view was outstanding. Will definitely come back in the future.

Location is great, right next to the Canal St. Station. The outside doesn't look very inviting but the hotel is fine on the inside. The room I started in was clean but really small, the hallways are a bit cramped. 21st floor has the lounge for premium guests which offers breakfast and drinks and snacks in the evening. I was impressed with the drinks selection at the bar downstairs, wide array of scotch. Best part of the stay was the service, Mia at the front desk is awesome!

I have stayed in this hotel at least four times and I love it. I grew up in Manhattan so I know the City very well. The location is perfect because it is away from the crowds of Time Square and give tourists the real experience of being in New York. You are next to Little Italy, Chinatown and the now Chic Soho. The staff is wonderful, they are friendly in a down to earth way, the beds are sooo comfortable and the rooms have everything you need. The hotel is very pet friendly. There is no extra charge for pets and the staff welcomes them. The cost is very reasonable and, if you look at all of the signs VERY carefully, you can often find free or metered parking in the area. From a native New Yorker — this my go to hotel in Manhattan. Its all good with no downside.

Very good position, close to metro A, C, E aswell to 1, 2, 3. Hotel a bit old but with very gentle and helpful service which solves all your needs quickly. Ask for a high floor if you look for nice view. Restaurant prices in the average.

Rooms are tiny for. Sheraton. I stayed at the Marriott not too far from here cos they were booked up but the room was bigger and the price was the same. WatchKit you have to wait for the elevator every morning and it takes like 4-5mins and when it finally arrives there's no room and you wait again. Restaurant is ok, but except for Brendalisa and an Asian guy at the front desk most others are u friendly. Plenty of other options in the TriBeCa.

Solid Sheraton property in a fun area. Close to NQR train. Good restaurant. Good Platinum recognition. One of the few SPG properties that participates in Green Choice and other promos.

Great location but brutal service. Poorly managed. Housekeeping staff went through our personal belongings including taking my Invisalign teeth guards out of their cleaning solution and laying out. When I tried to discuss with the manager (Robert Brashler) he didn't call but rather emailed offering a refund to avoid trying to make it right. Do not recommend and will not stay here again. Stay at the James or Duane — both miles better and amazing service.

Great service from the moment I stepped out of the cab to the efficiency and smile in front desk staff's face to being recognized and treated like an SPG member. I commend Leslie and Cory for their great attitudes and radiant smiles. I will be staying here again! Keep up the good work, guys!

It was my first time in New York, and my husband and I will definitely make the Sheraton Tribeca our regular hotel. The location was perfect, staff was respectful and helpful, and the accommodations were wonderful.

Nice hotel, great central location. Currently doing renovations between 9-5 so not inconvient. The paint and solvent smells though are really strong those last longer than 5pm. Comfortable bed and pillows though. Slept well every night so far.

Set on Canal St you need to take care with your room, get something high or at the back or you will spend the entire night listening to fire engines, car horns or drunks. The hotel is standard chain fare that you would expect from a Sheraton, it is pretty formulaic. If you like this chain of hotels you will find it o. K. If you want something cool and different, go down the road to a Hotel actually in Soho rather than Chinatown.

Fast check in. However despite having the do not disturb sign on my door, house keeping knocked loudly twice in the morning which was very disturbing and I could not sleep.

A quite recommendable Hotel in Manhattan. We have us felt very comfortable.

I was charged four times for a room I did not not use. Amounts totaling $7, 813.64. I received a confirmation of cancellation from the manager with, even so my card was still charged. When I called the hotel to try and resolve that matter I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes, then transferred from person to person with no one giving me any real clear answers. When I was finally transferred to the accounting department they told me there was nothing they could do with out a mangers approval, even though I had the cancelation and charge invoice numbers. The entirety of the staff was rude and unprofessional. I will never stay with or have any of my companies large accounts stay at any Starwood property again.

The second time I've stayed here in a month. The staff is great. Courteous, friendly and nice. Rooms are great. Clean, well thought out, nice amenities fir a mid priced hotel. I'll be back again next week.

The room was good. Room service options were limited.

It took me 2 phone calls and over an hour to make 4 reservations, 3 which were identical. They managed to still get them wrong after painstakingly reviewing every detail. 2 phone calls to get a cc authorization. I called I verify someone would be able to handle the cc auth over the weekend, they guaranteed this as I didn't get the cc auth until this point. Then, no one was. No one could even receive the fax from the number on their cc auth. Worst hotel service ever.

This is at best a 2 star hotel. The toilet paper holder is falling off the wall, even the ironing board in this room is cheep. I ate at the bar today and they gave me marinara sauce with my calamari. This is my second night. I hope I can make it another two without bed bugs or food poisoning.

While I wouldn't consider this a 4-star hotel, it met criteria of "Liked it" given blend of location, price, cleanliness, comfort, contemporary furnishings, and friendliness of staff. It's on Canal, yes, but hardly in Chinatown, as someone else wrote. Short walk to nicer spots in TriBeCa, SoHo, and excellent proximity to major subway lines. Would stay again.

We just stayed there for a quick date night anniversary getaway and couldn't have been happier. The room was very clean and well appointed, the hotel staff was very welcoming and we would book again in a heartbeat. The location is great. Very central located on border of SoHo, TriBeca and Financial district. Fabulous places for food and drink are all around as well as great little shops and galleries. Easy train ride uptown if you want to explore the W Village, Chelsea, Meatpacking and beyond. We will be back.
