My wife and I were meant to have our wedding at the Wagner Hotel in April of 2020. The staff had been great to work with leading up to the event and we even had our tasting in February 2020. Due to covid, our event was postponed and then cancelled. The venue has since been impossible to communicate with despite many attempts and we are owed tens of thousands of dollars! They even went so far as to sign a settlement agreement months ago, but are refusing to pay us or to give us options for an event. They remain closed; We have no new information and are at a loss given we have neither a refund nor an option for a new event and aren’t about to go and spend more money re-planning. Our wedding event experience has been absolutely ruined given these circumstances.
My fiance stayed at the Wagner after she booked it on Priceline paid in full. Once she got there they advised her they need a credit card on file in case of additional charges, sounds reasonable things like room service and such. After the trip was over, my fiance was not only billed from priceline for her stay but the Wagner decided to unlawfully charge her again. We spent the last 5 months disputing the charge thru the credit card company who are stating since we gave this hotel the credit card information we agreed to whatever they wanted to charge us whether we agreed to it or not. So this 5 star hotel is a JOKE! They double charged us, refused contact, will not return any phone calls or emails about this situation. We will be taking this up the better business bureau as well but this just goes to show how a 5 star hotel can be a severe criminal as well! Learn from our mistakes and DO NOT STAY HERE!
Maybe this dilapidated hotel will care about what real customers have to say about it and take the time to take care of these accusations of criminal conduct.
