They can't get the bill done — simple thing — they created so much trouble having the right bill sent to me — having spent hours just trying to get the electronic bill and still don't get it. Unbelievable!

Fourth of July is great especially if you're on Club level you get to the Ritz-Carlton rooftop. We were able to see 19 different firework displays across Brooklyn Staten Island at the same time as we were overlooking the Statue of Liberty.

We had an amazing time! We loved the location because we were right across from the Statue of Liberty and only a short walk about from 9/11 meusum. We also loved being near local bars and getting breakfast at Leo's bagels!

I have stayed here on two separate occasions in the last few years. It is everything that you expect from a Ritz, and worth every penny. If you’re visiting the Statue of Liberty, this resort sits right across from Battery Park. If you get into the area early, you may find street parking. There is beautiful shopping a short walk north along the Hudson. It is beautiful at night with lights along the the path. During the day there are lots of families strolling by. Beware food choices on weekends and holidays, as much of the financial district is a ghost town. If you’re traveling with a group, the suits have ample space with pull out sofas and space to bring in a rollaway … which is a full twin bed, not a folded spring board. The best part about the Ritz has to be the staff. They make you feel like you’re really something special. Even when you travel in jeans and sweats like me.

Mr. Hanold was pleasant upon check-in along with all the other staff members. The ledge in the shower to shave your legs is a nice attention to detail along with the mirror in the shower. The narcissist in me love that. Great water pressure, careful turning the faucet on full.

I have stayed several times and love it! The location is fantastic, the service excellent and the views are incomparable. I am always amazed when the doorman remembers us — he must see thousands of people. Looking forward to my next visit!

The hotel looked like an older apartment building from the outside. The room was a typical two double bed. No refrigerator, no coffee maker. Drab furniture. I'm not looking for expensive chic, but for $550 per night I thought it would've been nicer. The bathroom was really nice. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel called 2 West. The food was good. Drinks were weak and cost $15 each. Look it wasn't a horrible stay, but like I mentioned, for that price I would expect better. Thankfully the night was expensed with my company.

This place was AWESOME and oh so accomadating! I'll definitely be booking here whenever I'm in NYC! Such a beautiful area and location.

Sleeping experience is great! I thought it was still night when my alarm rang at 9am. In the lobby someone will come to you every minute to offer help, water, ask if you need a taxi, etc. It's a bit annoying if you are simply there waiting for someone. But the really bad thing is in-dining charges: 18% gratuity automatically included plus $6 delivery fee PER PERSON.

Need to be renovated and updated. Thought it would be more luxurious for the price of over $500 a night and they don't even offer free Wi-Fi! But on a better note, the staff are very friendly.

I stayed here for a friend's wedding held at this location. Easy enough to get to by car. Parking from 8pm Friday to 2am Sunday cost $140. Not my favorite thing to spend money on. I forgot a pair of shoes in my car. It took 4 phone calls and over 2 hours to get those. My wife almost missed her pictures as she was in the wedding party and they were her shoes. Nothing too impressive about the hotel unfortunately. The rooms were comparable to any other mid range hotel I've ever stayed in. The wedding itself was great none the less!

I came here and was expecting a ton and when I got here I was not disappointed. The concierge was very nice and helpful, told me the best places to go. The food tastes great and the servers were very nice. I'm staying in a room with a view of the statue of liberty and shortly learned how great the telescope was and fell in love with the Ritz Carlton.

We stayed in room 233 and had an amazing experience the entire time. Room service was great, the staff was very professional and very helpful. I stayed here for vacation and leisure, the ritz made this trip that much easier to relax. 5/5

Beautiful hotel with excellent location. A very nice attention.

Food and service were excellent, though menu is somewhat limited. The m'aitre d, Milan, was very attentive and made us feel special by checking in with us several times. The view of the sunset over the Hudson was beautiful.

Stayed in a standard king room on rewards points, am gold elite but was not offered a complimentary room upgrade. Bathroom is nice and spacious with separate walk-in shower and tub. Bed is comfortable and I did not hear any of our neighbors.

I am a Marriott Rewards Gold member. I booked two Statue of Liberty View rooms in this hotel a month and a half ago and requested them to be adjoining and to have 10am early check-in. One was to have a king bed, and the other two double beds. Upon arrival at 10am we were told the rooms would be ready in an hour. As of noon they still weren't ready. At 1pm they gave us a key the room with the king bed. We went up to the room and they key didn't work. One of the front desk employees had to come up and let us into the room with a master key. As we were leaving at 2pm the front desk still didn't have our room key issue sorted out and informed us that the connecting room was no longer available. When questioned they said it wasn't guaranteed. So we left and went out sight seeing. When we arrived back at the hotel around 5:30pm and tried to check into the second room we were told that there were no Statue of Liberty View rooms with double beds left but they could give us one with a King. Since the room type is guaranteed they gave me a $100 credit and a free dessert. We were given they keys to both rooms. Upon arriving in the second room we found out it was missing the telescope and called the front desk to report it. No one brought one up to us for the next hour or so until we left for dinner. Upon arriving back from dinner the telescope was in the room. It has now been six weeks since I checked out and I am still waiting for my Marriott Rewards points and nights to post.

Stayed Aug 17 to Aug 24, 2017. It was a pleasure to return each evening to this oasis of calm. Tempting cocktail list in a bar mercifully free of intrusive piped music. Located in a quiet street but 'buses & subway a short walk away. Visiting from UK. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

I love the Ritz Carlton! I got married at the Bal Harbour, Miami location about eight months ago. 11/05/16 My husband is currently in the process of developing the downtown San Diego location. (8th and Market) My recent one night stay in Battery Park was pleasant until I decided to grab a cup of coffee after my morning workout. I walked into the restaurant and was completely ignored by an employee by the name of Marie. I proceeded to ask her coworker for assistance. As he was walking away to get the coffee I asked to please be sure it was dark roast. Marie replied and said "this isn't Starbucks" and that they only have one choice to choose from. It was completely uncalled for to have received a side of sarcasm with my morning coffee.

It's the Ritz. Need I say more. Friendliest must welcoming staff who are always eager to please. Lots of allergen friendly options at the eateries. As a matter of fact, the front desk manager had fresh cookies and milk waiting for us in our room. Unfortunately, my little girl is gluten sensitive so I called to say thank you but we couldn't eat the cookies. They somehow produced delicious gluten free cookies and took the one's she couldn't eat! Now that's customer service! Thanks for a great stay.

A very nice Ritz. Great service. Beautiful location. The Club is very nice. The restaurant at the hotel is very good too. So fun to have a view of the Statue of Liberty and a telescope for the kiddo to see it in our room. The rooms are very well appointed.

I photographed a wedding here a week ago, and it was TREMENDOUS. As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of weddings at a lot of wedding venues. The customer service at the Ritz Battery Park was remarkable, and the venue itself was gorgeous. I also highly recommend Sarah Louise, the Ritz's wedding coordinator. She was amazing, super kind, and a delight to work with.

They remember you — and if you travel to NYC with moderate frequency, that means a lot. Rooms are not as standard as first appear. Hidden inside this building are amazing suites and cozy club rooms. Staff is outstanding.

Very nice. Stayed overnight for 3 days around christmas time in 2008 for a wedding down the street. Younger brother and I threw up all night, and were served with a smile and clean sheets. Food very good, rooms very big, bathrooms very very big. Beautiful views.

Overall, I would give this place 4 stars. The hotel in general is just a hotel — a very clean and spacious hotel, to be sure, but still a hotel. Nothing special there (at least not R-C special). However, some of the rooms in this particular location have fantastic views! Direct lines to the statue of liberty, complete with in-room telescopes (I cannot tell you the number of times I've sat in a hotel room and thought, "this space could really use a telescope"). The service here is great, as expected, and the hotel is not too far from trains to get you to the rest of Manhattan.

Ritz is worth the price. Five star service — very detail oriented. The clubroom staff was also very attentive and friendly. The breakfast options alone are worth the club room pricing compared to paying restaurant prices. Umbrellas were provided when it rained and all first floor staff was knowledgeable and helpful with navigating through the city. The hotel is in close location to the beautiful Trinity Church. There's a running path out front for an early morning or late night exercise session. Its a great stay for people who want to selectively visit the busier time square and tourist spots. It's also scenic with its lake front proximity, makes for great night views — romantic or just enjoying the moment. The subway entrance is close for when you are ready to jump into the NYC lifestyle. FiDi "Financial District" is a cleaner choice for visiting the city. Check it out.

Amazing experience (as always with the Ritz Carlton). Big rooms with great views and easy access to the World Trade Centre and the Financial District.

I havent stay before in a Ritz hotel however I read the book the New Gold Standard multiple times and I have colleagues that talk higly about your facilities and service. For me Ritz was the gold standard… It was like a dream… Like the books… Like my friends experiences… Reality is hard! It's not! Service so far is not good… Room small and old… I wish I wouldn't stay, my memories will be better than reality…

Good rooms, quieter area of the city. All of the staff was very polite and friendly, especially Nino. He was super polite and worked at the front door. He's a true New Yorker and was awesome to my brother and myself. The only drawback was the restaurant — didn't match the same quality as the hotel.

Great spot at the southern tip of Manhattan. Beautiful views of Lady Liberty and Ellis Island. Not the place to be for nightlife, but not a bad launching point.

Save your money. This Ritz-Carlton perjures any notions of luxury. Don't be conned by the shock & awe campaign and get fooled into thinking, "It must be good, it's a Ritz-Carlton. " This hotel is inspired by P. T. Barnum. (There's a sucker born every minute. ) The Battery Park NYC location should be understood to be just what it is: A tarted-up Marriott in a prime location. The furnishings are nearly identical to two other Marriott’s I’ve stayed in. (Grand Junction, CO & San Diego, CA. ) That wouldn’t be a knock if the sign out front didn’t say, Ritz-Carlton. Glaring omissions, wantonly poor room design choices and an inattentive staff marred our stay. These issues are egregious for any hotel, especially in this price range. At least when I stayed at other Marriott’s they had a refrigerator, a coffee maker and were half the cost. Getting a bucket of ice to the room shouldn't take an hour — on two occasions! The bathroom features a tiny shower, a tiny toilet area and an ordinary tub. The poor lighting makes this hard to tell, however. The 2 West bar is pathetic. The liquor selection form the beer cart on a public golf course is better. Blue-Collar beer offerings and a Gin & Vodka selections poorer than a Preacher's wallet and matched only by the bartender's indifference. This might all be excusable if it said Marriott on the door instead of Ritz-Carlton. I’m glad to pay premium prices but I expect a product consistent with this price point.

It was a very nice room with a view of the statue a crazy person very friendly I would go back.

I'm a culinary arts and hospitality student at Monroe College. I called the Ritz Carlton hotel because I'm doing an article on the hotel and based on what's the hospitality industry is like and what are the responsibilities of a general hotel manager and what's it's like. However I was introduced to a rude staff member on the phone who hung up on me. I'm a freshman college student who just wanted to learn more about the hospitality industry, this hotel is by far one of my favorites but now it makes me question the staff. I may not be a future guest but the hospitality management program at Monroe College will be a part of the hospitality industry. All we want to do is learn more from it.

Extremely rude desk man. I don't know his name, wears glasses, wears makeup (especially eyebrows) and is around 50 years old. I entered the hotel as a guest and he got up and in my face claiming I wasn't a hotel guest and I was a "scum from the street. " He then scolded me to leave the building immediately, so I did and I got my money back from this place. This man should be fired and be living in a cardboard box.
