Very dirty. Called to confirm hottub worked. It did not. Bar was closed. Refrigerator was so full of built up ice. Never again.

The hotel does not honor agreed upon rates. As part of an event, I made a reservation at a reduced rate and received a confirmation email from the hotel for my reservation. The following day, the hotel sales manager and facility manager called me back and said that they would not honor the rate. I was told that I would have to pay full rate ($70/night more than the confirmed rate), or they would cancel my reservation. My reservation was cancelled. I spent a good hour and a half trying to initially make my reservation and then another hour trying to get the hotel to honor their confirmation email. No luck.

We booked rooms a month in advance and traveled from Plattsburgh. 10 rooms. We arrived at 7:30 and never got all of our rooms till 11:30 pm. Some of them were still dirty and not acceptable. My carpet wasn't vacuumed, dirty toilet, used soap in shower, no top sheet. Others had toilet problems, no hot water for showers. We had a conference there for work and will never stay there again. The employees were nice and very short staffed and over worked. It's not their fault!

1 out of 5 lights in my room worked. 1 out of 3 outlets worked wet stains on my floor. TV didn't work right. ac units controls were busted and I couldn't turn it up nor down. if you turned the sink on it would jump around like a jack hammer. breakfast was spoiled milk and cereal. one if the WORST hotels I ever stayed at.

Carpets were dirty. Parts in the bathroom were falling apart. Continental breakfast was pitiful — all prepackaged foods with not even a toaster to toast the packaged bagels. Swimming pool and hot tub were so green you couldn’t see the bottom and smelled like ponds water. They advertised shuttle bus service for weddings (the reason for our visit) but we were told it was not available.

A great place to stay if you want to be locked out in middle of the night because the lobby is randomly locked and vacant — Managers that scream at you, straight up being aggressive to their guests. When you tell them you’re running late checking out, they proceed to tell you that you have 10 minutes before the police are here. Our queen jacuzzi suite was outdated, no working phone, the drain plug was broken. We tried to contact the front desk multiple times, no answer. We were planning to stay longer but our first night was extraordinarily the worst hotel experience we have ever had.

We were put on a floor that was freshly painted and the fumes are ridiculous. We cannot breathe and have severe headaches and can’t sleep. An upgrade to hell is more like what we got. My son and I both have asthma so this is a nightmare.

On the evening of 1/22 there was a party of young children running around the breakfast room, not wearing masks. They were blowing up balloons and popping them which sounded like gunshots! Most concerning is this is a major COVID violation! NYSDOH will be notified!

To whom it may concern, I just ended a stay at one of your brand hotels. They were dismissive in regards to customer service. My family (of 4) just spent the night in the Holiday Inn Express in Latham, NY. We choose this hotel because of its open pool. When we arrived to use the pool it was green and upon entry we found garbage and a towel in the bottom. We spent the night in a room and utilized it as we would our home — we defecated as usual, no more or less in the toilet. Unbeknownst to us the toilet clogged following my husband using it. He deficated prior to going to sleep. This would have been acceptable except it turns out that the toilet was malfunctioning and ran overnight and overflowed into the whole bathroom over an inch of water and into the hallway. There was feces on the ground and toilet. We could not use our bathroom facilities at all in the morning. They did promptly come when notified but the clean up was lacking — no bleach or anything to disinfected the stool that had been vacuumed up. The floor was completely saturated that we had to walk across to get in and out of the room. I spoke with Tom, at the desk first who said it was our fault so he could not help me. He went further to say since we booked 3rd party he could not help me. I contacted the third party and they said the hotel refused any sort of service recovery. I spoke with Frank Riviera General manager who refused to acknowledge the health issue that arose from their malfunctioning toilet.

Was a nice place, was there one night. Good beds, pillows and a decent hotel. The usual Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast didn't have as much as other Holiday Inns, no half and half for coffee, but otherwise good. Still a nice stay.

We stayed here for a conference with over 30 college students. The staff were very accommodating to our needs and helpful along the way. The rooms were clean and they quite large.

The good parts: The beds were comfy, the hotel itself was fairly easy to find, the water was hot and cold when it was supposed to be, and the area used for the wedding reception we were staying there for was beautiful. Dinner was catered, and they did a fantastic job. The less good parts: the coffee is terrible (which isn't really their fault, it's just the type of pre-ground coffee that they get), the eggs were cold both mornings of our stay despite being on heating implements, the bathroom nearest the gym was not well kept and had gross stains on the stall walls, the toilets didnt flush well, and generally didn't look like they had really been cleaned recently. Other than that and some other smaller things, it's a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The complaints mentioned above would not be enough to prevent me from staying there again in the future.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel, conveniently located near the Albany airport. My only complaint is that the hotel's airport shuttle isn't available for early morning departures from Albany. Perhaps they should list operating times on their website, as part of the reason I booked here was because I wanted to use the airport shuttle to catch my flight.

Customer service was very good. Need to put a bigger TV in the room, way to small for being a suite. A/C and fan motor sorta loud. Shower leaves a little to be desired. But overall satisfied.

The whole staff had great customer service especially the breakfast attendants went above and beyond to help me while I juggled my son and his plate. They were very kind the place was clean my children enjoyed the stay.

Nice big room & comfy bed & soft or firm pillow choices. It has a nice chair with ottoman & blackout curtains if wanted. Clean & pretty quiet. Has an indoor pool & exercise room. Real cute attached bar & restaurant with delicious & reasonably priced food. Nice breakfast room with a good variety of food choices. Beautiful reception hall. My son is having his wedding reception here. I couldn't be happier! :)

First time at a Holiday Inn Express. Was better then expected. Staff was very nice. Fitness center and pool were nice surprises.

Clean looking hotel. Spacious rooms. Same ol' HIE breakfast.

The staff were exceedingly pleasent and accomodating. They mailed my prepaid packages, I got an airport shuttle and they had fruit infused water on tap in the lobby. 10/10 would recomend and stay again.

Beautiful hotel includes all the amenities but it's a maze inside. Once you get to know your way around, it's heaven. Very courteous staff.

Very nice facility. Clean and inviting. There were a couple of conferences going on in the hotel but they were fine. Upon check in, the front desk staff was not nice or welcoming. It seemed like we were bothering her. We are long standing members and did not receive our welcome kit even though the items were displayed right behind her. We travel alot and everything helps with each stay at a hotel. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again if there was another option.

Rooms and service was pretty good. Standard hotel. Could have delivered extra sheets when asked instead of guests going downstairs.

Rooms were spacious with high ceilings, and everything was modern and clean. The location provides quick access to the highway.

I travel to Albany to see family often so I rent quite a few hotel rooms. I've stayed here 3 times and have to say they offer good packages for my trips. I've booked the whirlpool suites each time and had no issues. The breakfast is a typical continental. If your not planning to blow the bank this hotel will do!

Staff was very nice and helpful. The bar/restaurant on site was good. The pool was actually warm (often they say heated and its still cold) and hot tub / pool area were very clean. Great breakfast. Would be good place to hold conferences or for larger work functions as they have great meeting rooms as well.

Rooms were nice and staff. Also great to have a restaurant onsite so didn't need to travel out.

The room we stayed in was very spacious the location is close to many restaurants. The only thing I didn't like is the side door was broke and and they didn't clean it up after the snow. So if u parked in the back u had to walk all the way around to the front. The breakfast in the am was good eggs, bacon sausage and other small bakery items. Overall I would definitely stay again the staff was really friendly.

Latham Holiday inn was a very nice stay, pleasant employees and nice atmosphere. A little dirty for over $100 a night though.

Great hotel conveniently located near the airport Decent restaurant attached Clean rooms, recently remodeled so everything is clean and shiny One issue is they’ve had their fire alarm go off in the middle of the night a couple times lately, not sure if they’ve fixed the issue or not or if someone is doing it deliberately. They do get some rowdy people due to the attached bar some nights.

Staff is professional and friendly, location is easy, rooms were spotless and comfortable. Recommended!

Very clean. Nice smelling soaps and lotions in the bathroom. Wish the air had been running when we got there, but eventually cooled down. Good breakfast included in stay.

Basic hotel with pool and hot tub. Convenient parking. Close to Troy and Albany. Limited buffet breakfast. Smoke alarm too sensitive and went off after hot shower. Inconvenient placement of wall outlets.

Attending a class for work here. No experience with the rooms, but facilities are very nice and the staff was friendly.

Very clean, accommodating staff. I like how I never see the cleaning crew. Most hotels I have stayed at, there is constantly maid service carts in the hallways each day. Walking past peoples dirty linen is not pleasant sometimes.

Busy and big, but comfortable enough. Pool was chilly and hot tub was a little weird. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was stretched thin but helpful and friendly.

Great service and very clean, large, and comfortable rooms. The manager seemed to be there 24/7 and offered personalized attention. Close to interstate. Could not hear traffic when my room was facing roadway.

Easy on/off of 87. Central location. Rooms were clean. No issues with cleanliness or service. Didn't make use of other amenities as I was only here for one night but it seemed like it has everything to make an extended stay comfortable.

Great rooms, no extra charge to have a mini-fridge brought into the room. Hot breakfast with more choices than expected. And last but not least… The staff was very nice and very helpful. I had a great stay.

Event room was spacious. Buffet lunch was delicious. The room temperature was too cold at first, but I think our handlers wanted it that way. A nice place.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the communication difficulties with the housekeeping staff. I cannot imagine how the housekeeping staff feels when they are asked for something or help in general, when there is a language barrier. I would imagine it's very hard and maybe even frustrating for the cleaning staff. Other than that, everything was perfect. From the moment we checked in, settled in and went to the spa, pool and gym… very wonderful. The staff is very helpful, even if there are communication issues they always do their level best. You can tell the staff is very customer focused. I would recommend to anyone considering traveling this way to stay here!

Conveniently located close to freeways and restaurants. Good fitness center and nice dark rooms with comfortable beds. You have to try Dinosaur BBQ located in Troy.

Horrible place to stay and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The rooms are over priced with absolutely nothing included. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the room, and the room had a stench to it, and stains in various places on the carpet. Again not worth the price … Stay far away from this hotel. The hotel staff at the front desk were rude, uncaring and ignorant.

The room was clean, with a TV and coffee maker, but no refrigerator or microwave. The included breakfast was terrific — my first experience with an automatic pancake machine. There was also yogurt, fresh fruit and a variety of breads and pastries, along with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage.

We had a event there, the ballroom was gorgeous and the staff was helpful. It was a decent price, hope to go back soon.

This was the best place I have ever stayed. The staff is great and they genuinely care about making your stay great. Oh and the breakfast is supper.

Really enjoyed working with Stephanie and Bob during a recent event and seminar held at the hotel. Really caring staff and attentive. Clean bathrooms always a plus! Thanks for the great space.

Great service, the staff went out of their way to make our event happen! Awesome conference room and event rooms! Highly recommend for events! Many participants stayed over, all raved about the hotel accommodations too!
