I highly recommend anyone who wants to stay in Albany NY for work vacation and visiting family do not give any business to this hotel this Hotel is for fix income housing this hotel is one of the most disgusting hotels in New York State this hotel should be shut down by the NY state of Health they have dosing of bed bugs the bathrooms are disgusting 🤮 if the owners are focused on using the hotel as income apartments they should just get out of the hotel business and focus on low income apartments this is one of the most Dangerous hotels to stay in the Albany Area New York State of Health needs to shut this place down.

The worst place, an incredible bad smell and the service is detestable, the staff is very badly educated, nothing you see in the photos do not be fooled do not spend your money here and whoever does it even reading this review I hope you remember me when you are aya.

My room was flooded because the room upstairs was flooded. I was woken up to an already flooded room. I was given a worse room. I was not refunded at ALL. Not even to split the difference in cost. Management was rude and unhelpful the entire time.

Nasty room! Showers are filthy, floors weren’t vacuumed, dust on everything, beetle in bathroom light. Rude staff! We checked in and with in ten minutes of being there we complained. This lady tried saying we used the room. Excuse me?! You just checked us in 10 minutes ago! Spend a little more money somewhere else, that place is nasty. Pools are closed. Ceiling tiles caving in, walls are marked up, water doesn’t shut off. Waste of time and money!

This hotel needs to be burned to the ground or sold to someone who cares for the comfort of the customers. Forget about the pool it was gross at best, forget about the restaurant or bar in the pics its locked up with a chain… Even if it was cheap it was too expensive for the night we had. Right now I am listening to the music that my neighbor is listening since 3 in the morning. Don't think about resting here for god sake!

Someone broke into my room, smashed open my lockbox, and stole $175 from me. The staff and Albany PD have done nothing for me. That was all the cash I had on me. I am beyond infuriated. Do not stay here! not. Not mention the rooms were disgusting.

This is not a safe hotel mold, food, and trash everywhere. Bad part of town and broken locks. We left had argument with “Manager” refused the refund on our 4 rooms because in the 30 min we were there one of us showered in the nasty shower. We left and took a loss we wouldn’t stay here if they payed us. Unacceptable!

The hotel is trash and don’t bother calling corporate, they won’t help you either. Wyndham as a whole is just DISGUSTING!

Do not stay here and never have an event there. Dirty Rooms, No sheets on some beds, bugs in some rooms, linen is yellow and stained, not white. Most rooms didn't have towels and staff didn't want to give any out. 2 rooms with non working toilets. Rooms smell like mildew and have burn marks in bath rooms. Rude staff at the front desk, crack heads roaming around lobby. The staff made everything challenging… from ice to garbage bags. Had to call event coordinator to handle everything. This wasn't a great experience.

Absolutely horrific! This is a hotel that scary documentaries are made of. Gross, bath tub water doesn’t shut off, toilet doesn’t flush. I can’t get toilet paper or Kleenex. The blinds are shredded to hell, and their is trash all over the floor. I will be calling the health department in the morning!

Don’t. Just don’t. Unless you’re trying to have a sketchy dingy hotel experience. Then this place is perfect.

Everything it was horrible a girl was held against her will and that was in a room that’s off limits someone called down saying they heard a girl screaming for 24 hours no one helped her till the time we showed up and the police were there we asked to move rooms and not be on that floor after we seen all the stuff come out the room bloody and all but the other floors weren’t all that well this place needs a security team for all the bad people that I seen definitely won’t be staying here ever again.

They got me for my money not right at all I cleaned was excited but it was so dirty like from the gym to laundry room front desk rude the manager said I'm not getting my money back this Is crazy they had bed bugs creepy boys salen drugs I'm upset was there for a vacation for 4 days only had one day an paid on phone to book an then 138 in person.

Worst hotel I have ever been to. The staff and manager are really incompetent and the cleaners must be blind, because the kind of disgusting things you will find in this place will make you question whether you are in a hotel or in a brothel.

Management was extremely unprofessional and violating New York State health regulations by not wearing a mask. I don't recommend anybody who wants to live a long healthy life to stay at this hotel it was something disgusting.

Not a place I would stay again. The toilet doesn't flush right. The employees were not friendly. The place was run down and the elevator was broken. The stairs are outside next to a sketchy dumpster. It smelled like weed throughout the non-smoking floor but nobody cared. Good price but bad qaulity.

Average place. Had issue with the toilet but they changed our room fast and the new one had no issues at all. Nice bar downstairs with sweet barmaid.

Terrible experience. 1 of 2 elevators are broken. Staff are not friendly or helpful. Rooms are old. Our room key didn't work correctly, had to try it 3 or 4 times before door would actually open. Also, bed bugs. Yes, bed bugs. Do not stay here, it is not worth it.

The hotel is fine but not great. Check-in was excruciatingly slow even though there was no line. The room was spacious and well appointed but it did not look sparklingly clean. For the free breakfast we were issued tickets that seemed unnecessary. The breakfast was ok, but I had better at 2 star hotels.

Ramada Plaza Albany, NY is horrific. From the cum stained chair, mold in the bathroom, refrigerator that wouldn't close because the freezer was frozen so badly the door wouldn't close, the TV that didn't work, to not being able to get into the room if someone wasn't inside, the absence of management (Ronda Shayne), the rude and condescending (Michael) desk clerks (who got in my face and accused me of him cursing at me, which I didn't, and wouldn't back away when I felt threatened), and finally the overgrown property that was misrepresented on the website. Ramada, you should be ashamed of this property! I have photos if, if you'd like to see please PM me.

My first room in this hotel had a strong musty smell to it, I then asked to be transferred to a different room. When I got to my second room everything seemed to be fine until I found severe mold covering the walls. Yet again I was Asked be to transfered which I was. When I got to my third room the must smell was still there with the smell of cat urine. At that point I asked the person at the front desk to come in my room to smell it himself. He refused to come in asking him twice. When I woke up in the morning from my third room I woke up to my armpit being itchy and found a bug on me. Stay away from this place. You can get a much better deal and a much better hotel somewhere else. Never come here.

The staff was nice enough, however, when we got there our room was wide open and the halls were disgustingly dirty, and the air conditioner took forever to cool off the room because there was absolutely no ACs in the hallways. Also when we went to find ice the machine it was broken and flooding. NO sign or anything! The next day we went to the cold and hot free breakfast, and it was horrible! The management of this hotel really need to start providing better and more resources for the employees who were working to the best of their ability with little resources and so many responsibilities.

I had stayed in several hotels from 5 star to even Inn's / Motels. Ive stayed in many Ramada hotels and resorts like the one in in Newark, Washington and even abroad in Dubai. I had requested for Ramada Albany, thinking of the reputation it had, quality of service Ramada had and the closest proximity to my meetings. But it was my worst decision. The rooms were unclean, I had cigarette/cigar burnt stain mark on the comforter, the bathrooms were unclean. There were cracks on the walls and the telephone didn't work, I called the Front office using my cellphone and told them twice with regards to the room phone not working. No one bothered to come in and check. The elevators seemed liked its going to fall apart, made all sorts of noises. The breakfast was eggs and sausages. And nothing else in the main course. Overall. It was a bad experience.

By far one of the dirtiest rooms I have ever been in. I Travel for work and I have stayed at many hotels. Food stains on the walls. Carpet had food crumbs all over it. The bathroom was filthy. They need to update the photos of the rooms on booking. The room looked nothing like it. Everything in the room was VERY dusty. Only if the room looked as good as the lobby does. VERY disappointed!

Stayed here twice. They need better maintenance staff. Management need to inspect rooms before checking in guest. On my last visit the tables had greasy finger prints and the inner latch was broken on my door. They can do better with the cleanliness.

This place should get no stars… This place is a legit dump. I know you won't believe me but this is the worst establishment I have ever come to. There is this woman who worked the front. Rosie was her name I think. This woman should never be able to work the front counter. Her people skills are just about as subtle as a brick to the face. Take my advice and go somewhere else.

Room comfy and clean. Beds super comfortable. Only complaint is the indoor pool area. Every seat was very wet. I had to stand the entire hour I was there with my kid watching him swim.

Had a good experience overall. When we first got there to check in, there was a huge line of people waiting to get checked in and only one person checking people in. She was very patient and efficient with making sure everyone was taken care of. Room was clean and put together well. The only problem we had was that our shower head had a huge leak coming out of the seal so we couldn't use the shower. This hotel was cheaper than anything else we saw in the area. Has many amenities including a pool, workout room, and computer area and an excellent complimentary breakfast in the restaurant that is in the hotel.

I checked in today. It's clean, dated and in need of maintenance. It serves the purpose, but I won't stay here again. The in-house restaurant is only open for evening service based on the hotel occupancy; it's empty… wonder if that's what contributed to the decent rate. There's not any complimentary water, other than your room faucet. If you have a car, the location is fine, but if not: no. I should have researched this location more. I would have preferred to be closer to downtown or near more options for eating and people-watching. My travel arrangements were last minute. I can manage for one night, but not more.

I love staying at this hotel. I brag about how comfortable the beds are. I equate it to sleeping on a cloud. I also go swimming during every visit. The breakfast buffet and dining area are great too. Best stay in albany so far.

Very good hotel, we had a suite (room with lounge) for the price of a normal room. Good breakfast included.

The hotel had a great location and was in fair condition on the interior and exterior. However there was little to no Wi-Fi at all… I had to do all of my emailing and web browsing from my phone. I could see this potentially having an effect on somone who is traveling for business purposes.

Dirty, noisy and a strange smell in the room. Reception staff helpful.

The Internet does not work constantly getting booted off. The bathtub does not drain. Hot water was the only thing that worked. Place spells nasty. Found a bug (not sure what kind) in the bed. Also went to grab a coffee from lobby and found a bug there as well. Place looks like it passed its peak in 1982. I give it — 5 stars. Don't waste your money.

The entire hotel smells like they tried to steam out the smell of cigarettes. It didn't work, it smells like musty cigarettes. The rooms are nice at first glance but lots of repairs are needed. Somebody opened my door at 550am and would have walked in if I didn't have the latch done. The bar was ok, but there was some gooey stuff that messed up my shoes at the base of the bar. I went back the next day and the same goo was still there. We switched hotels after the second day of our week long business trip.

Nice staff, nice beds, generally 9kay. Place is showing signs of wear, needs repair and more. Furniture in our room was broken, bathtub didn't detain, there were old remodeling projects unfinished in plain sight, breakfast was not very good.

My bathtub did not drain during my shower and took about an hour to totally drain. Bathroom also did not have a fan for ventilation so it was pretty steamy. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Too many negatives to state them all. Rooms were remodeled by a hack and it is obvious. Holes in the wall, electrical outlets with no covers, wallpaper coming off wall, urine smell in the first room. Only two outlets in a room with power strips in both. Service was indifferent. Bathrooms are tiny, and the toilet is so small I would find using a 5 gallon bucket as comfortable. Save your money and go to motel 6 for half the price, and a more caring staff.

I stayed one night for work. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The hallway smelled pretty nasty, kinda fishy. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was tiny and did not have a fan which I do not like at all. The breakfast was ok. Tbe eggs were a bit too runny and the potatoes were pretty hard. The sausage was good though. For an overnight it was fine but I wouldn't plan to stay there more than that.

I attended a card show with my son. Staff was helpful and courteous. Lobby and grounds were clean and well kept.

The best continental breakfast. I've payed more for a hotel and either get no breakfast or even a breakfast you had to pay for. The Girls at the front desk were so friendly and was always asking if we needed anything. One of the girls even drove us into town to times square union for our concert. We had first floor, the rooms were nice!

It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, but that's about the best I can say. There was a sour, musty smell as soon as we entered the room. The Wi-Fi was basically unusable. The TV was staticky and full of audio interference. The shower varied from freezing cold to painfully hot. And the ice machines were broken on most floors.

The people were nice but the place was falling apart. Smelled funny, the elevator didn't always stop even with the floors, my shower curtain rod was almost pulled out of the wall, toilet rocked when you sat on it and was loose on the walls (only about 140 so thats sayin something), I am a pilot and was taking the shuttle to the airport every day and the shuttle would take about 30 min a day to be available but they would call the shuttle from another hotel and have them pick me up. The breakfast was the worst I have had at any hotel. Eggs, bacon and sausage were awful, best thing was the granola they had there. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

Not highly impressed for the $. Stagnant is one word that comes to mind. Needs an overhaul. I think they're trying to improve the place, in the meantime I'll pass.

The hotel is run down. They are making some updates but I don't think it's enough. The cleaning staff is very loud with no courtesy to those staying there. Also the rooms are not the cleanest either. I stay there on business but would never stay there in leisure.

They are renovating. They do have a scent of old cigarette smoke. The room was clean. The outside was ok. The lobby was nice. The free breakfast is Ok. The staff was friendly.

The outside of the hotel was uninviting and we had an uncomfortable feeling with the people sitting outside and a group in the parking lot. The smell coming in was not good. It took a while to get a cart to load our luggage. The room key didn't work so the man helping with the luggage opened it with his key. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Still after we had settled in for an hour or so and tried the TV it wasn't working. After calling the front desk they said the cable was off on that complete side of the hotel and she was sorry she forgot when she gave us the room. The only solution was to move, but we had already changed clothes for the night and didn't feel like that would work for us. The breakfast was good and we did sleep well, but I did cancel my reservation for my return trip and found a cheaper, but nicer hotel, closer to the airport.

The bed was incredibly comfortable. It is outdated but you get what you are paying for. It served its purpose for us. They advertise free Wi-Fi but it doesn't actually connect. Overall not horrible & there is free hot breakfast every morning!

Its located in a very ghetto part of town. They front like theyre a wicked nice/fancy hotel. When you walk in the front door the lobby is really nice, but when you walk down the hallway it changes very fast. The non-smoking hallway smells like smoke covered up by cinnamon frebreeze. The beds are SUPER uncomfortable and have these weird little couch pillows on them. Every single light in my room flickered and was a pain to get working. The TV wasnt plugged in.

Total dump. Believe the reviews. Oh and if you book online you're guaranteed special rooms outside the main building. Rude staff too. Total disaster.

This was one of the worst hotels that we have ever stayed in. The rooms were 100% dirty and the A/C was pulling away from the wall and you could see straight down to the ground (from the 7th floor). They sent someone up to reattach it back to the wall and at that time we asked to change rooms and they said no "we are over booked". The front desk staff were some of the rudest people that I have ever encountered. We were supposed to stay for 6 days but after the first night we had to leave (felt unsafe because a cleaning lady just walked into our room while we were laying in bed). The lady at the front desk made it clear "if you check out now YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE FOR THE REST OF YOUR TIME". We called corporate and they were shocked, after they tried to call the hotel and were hung up on they gave us a refund for the remaining days. Please stay somewhere else.

They were remodeling when I stayed there. Nice rooms but a little outdated.

Stay in the one in Bronx thought it was pretty nice. The room was nice and clean the people were very helpful I'd recommend it people who are visiting. The bus service from the Bronx to Manhattan was easily accessible for the difference in price of the hotel in Manhattan.

Inexpensive and good enough. The place certainly isn't fancy, and could desperately do with a (thorough) renovation, but the room was clean, big and had a nice mini-fridge and a nice Toshiba TV, though the details could use some work. For $80 a night though? Decent value and I'd stay again.

Absolutely filthy property, hotel entrance, hallways, elevators, and my room! Everything was filthy. My room has broken furniture, burnt out electrical outlets, stained sheets, and poor cable signal to the tv. This hotel was poorly built and never maintained! I will call corporate in the morning and report this dump.

Midnight a lady using her own access card opened my door. What a dangerous, unsafe, ridiculous hotel this place is. Not worth anybody's safety.

Our stay here was excellent. We stayed one night in a room with two beds on the 8th floor. The view was nice and the room was clean. We were delighted to find a small refrigerator and microwave in our room. The free breakfast was also amazing. We've stayed at numerous other hotels and this was our favorite within this price range. Horrible, They charged my credit card without permission for a full weekly rate before the due date. Now they arent working with me to give it back. The room has been over payed by $210.00. Housekeeping forgets to leave towels and wash clothes. The sink leaks all over with no repair. I would never stay here again.

The hotel is fine, not fancy, but serviceable. I will say, that when we stayed there during my father-in-law's funeral, they put together a luncheon for 30 people on rather short notice. The staff was incredibly solicitous, and the food was very good and made by their chef. Better than their restaurant meals. Don't know why that should be the case, but it is.

I have traveled coast to coast, north to south. I have amassed over two year's worth of nights spent in dozens of hotels nationwide. This hotel stood out among them all. First of all, the room smelled like Bob Marley, Snoop and Willie Nelson had a week long party inside. I'm amazed I didn't get a contact high from the odor. Secondly, the water was out the first day (maintenance) and hot water was not restored by nightfall. Cold showers. Joy. Most importantly, however, the internet was down the entire week of my stay. They have no on site net maintenance, and it is all done through an 800 number help desk. The desk could not help, as several of the hotel's access points were failing. A few spots in the hotel had some slow coverage, but most of the place was out of luck. 0 after hours productivity. Stuck using my phone for business correspondence. I could pardon a day of connectivity issues. Perhaps even two. But five? Inexcusable. The tiny bathroom (impossible to shut the door while inside) featured a tub with a poorly installed, after marker drain plug. This mismatch of tub and plug caused a ring to stagnant water to remain around the drain, which led to a stained and moldy drain. I tried to use the downstairs restaurant once, but after sitting around for 20 minutes without being served, I pursued other options. The breakfast was more or less standard. Disappointing lack of fresh fruit, however. The sausages were a bit higher quality than I am used to.
