When we arrived we were told we could find valet parking outside or park the car ourselves. There was no one outside to park our car and no place to leave our luggage, so we parked the car in the garage and carried all of our luggage from the parking garage into the hotel, then up to our room. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. We were with a large group and all weekend long there were long waits for the elevators because one of the three did not work at all. There was no out of order sign, it just didn't work. We went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast the first of three mornings and were told that there was only the buffet option and it was $16 ea. After we were seated a waitress came over with a raspy whisper, and said, "Would you like coffee"? I said to her, "Do you have laryngitis"? She whispered, "Yes, I have a sore throat". I said, "No thank you, I'll get my own coffee". Anyway, someone else brought us coffee and we ate off the breakfast buffet which was average at best and cost us $39. We don't usually eat that much breakfast. When we got back to our room I looked at the menu which had other breakfast options that had not been offered to us. I called to the front desk and asked it we could order off the menu for the next 2 days or was the buffet the only option? I was told that for the rest of the weekend we could order off the menu, that they were short staffed that day. So the next day we walked into the breakfast area and the waiter pointed us toward the buffet for $16. I said, "Can't we order off the menu today"? He said, "oh yes", and seated us with a menu. We ordered a lighter breakfast off the menu 1/2 price of the buffet, and waited 1/2 hour for eggs, toast, ham, and home fries. It was stone cold when we got it. When we finished, the waiter asked how it was and I politely told him okay, but it was cold, he apologized and said it sat in the kitchen too long. He took our check and told us not to worry about it. The thing that bothered me the most though, more than cold eggs, was that we watched all the other guests come in, and as they did, the waiters pointed them to the breakfast buffet for $16? No one was offered a menu at all! We decided at that point that we would not eat anymore meals in the hotel. We ate at neighboring restaurants, Drifters, next door at the Hilton, and Aunt Rosie's Italian Restaurant both had great food and service. Aunt Rosie's was exceptionally delicious, within walking distance.
