Had a good experience overall, However not at all liked the service of the restaurant in there “Corsa” It took them 50 min to bring the breakfast to the table and that also not worth it 😏

We were there a week for a conference. The elevators were constantly backed up. Escalators worked sometimes. AC definitely doesn’t cool the rooms. There are no ice machines on the floors, apparently due to Covid. Having to go from the 25th floor to the lobby to ask for ice is not very convenient. We asked the 5th time for a rollaway bed and finally got one. We did enjoy the restaurant located in the building but they seemed overwhelmed most of the time, possibly very short staffed?

Jan-Feb 2022… I'm a Rochester NY "regular" for over two years. The Hyatt Team Members/Staff at the CORSO Italian Eatery & Bar are always friendly. (The kitchen usually closes near 10:00 PM EST). I also enjoy being surrounded by the spacious quality expected of a Hyatt Hotel. If something is needed, just let the Front Desk Hyatt Team members know. Please tip your servers generously. If you are at this fine Hotel, tell them "Bippy" sent you! Enjoy!

We recently had our wedding at the Hyatt Regency Rochester and couldn't be more pleased! Serena worked with us throughout our 2 postponements due to COVID in order to make our wedding dreams come to fruition. The room was decorated beautifully, the food was awesome, and the rooms were all clean for our guests. Our guests gave us lots of compliments! Thank you to Hyatt for making our wedding dreams happen, finally!

Parents just recently stayed here! Great experience and rooms were amazing! Definitely recommend.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception here and we both give it five stars! The already beautiful decor was transformed into a fairytale setting. Chet did an amazing job with creating our vision for our very special day! The food was also OUTSTANDING! We received so many compliments. Thank you Chet and team for our beautiful wedding reception, it was perfect!

Wonderful staff! Upon realizing that all of our pillows were down, I reached out to the front desk and was delivered polly filled pillows within 15 minutes! Many thanks for helping us prevent an allergy emergency.

On a layover I stayed here and have the most amazing time most in large part to a wonderful guy named KALIKA! The food was amazing the drinking was amazing and the entertainment was amazing… He knew his audience for sure. You did a great thing by hiring this gentle man he shows the proper e etiquette and hospitality to be in the profession he chooses … And this coming from a bartender at Disney. I expect the highest lvl of service and he delivered thank you KALIKA from the bar! Amazing layover … U made me a believer in the Hyatt brand

I had my wedding at the Hyatt Regency Rochester and I couldn’t compliment the staff enough! Chet is amazing! He made sure my day was perfect!

This is a very nice hotel! Super clean and modern. Large rooms, super friendly staff, and very helpful. I would stay here again and again and recommend anyone stay here if they get the chance. The location is great also.

The staff was attentive to the needs of our group, the lighting and decor was perfect for the event I attended DST Jazz brunch. Although the room was full there was just enough space to walk among the tables without attendees who were seated to move their chairs.

Went to Mortons Steakhouse for dinner. Probably some of the best service and food I've had in a long while. Would highly recommend! Excellent night. They went out of their way to make it a memorable night.

The hotel was located in the downtown area. The facility was neat and clean. The reception staff was very gracious. Rooms had updated amenities. If you are driving, there is a parking fee of $12.

The Hyatt has just renovated most of their hotel. It has been a pleasant stay, the employees greeted me with a smile at every turn. The pool was relaxing and I have to say one of the greatest little additions was the light sensor that comes on if you step out of bed at night so you can see your way to the bathroom. Good job Hyatt.

Beautiful room! Gorgeous view of the river! The TV had apps on it which were buggy but great to have access to. Would absolutely book again. Great front desk staff that were helpful and friendly.

Horrible management! They treat employees like slaves and unless you are a manager, you don’t matter. This lovely 40 million renevoation and the common areas for employees are atrocious. Break room smells of sewage, paint is outdated, bins of dirty laundry sit in the hallways for days because there’s only 1 washer 1 dryer. And they don’t wash the comforters on the beds (check next time you stay there). The employee lockers rooms well… just sad. Employees lack necessary tools to do basic functions of their job because the company is in debt and owns a lot of vendors money. Stay tuned, more to come. Including a few pictures.

The rooms are great, they are fully redone and have everything you need. The mirrors in the bathroom do not fog up during a shower and the new floors are nice. Not a huge fan of the new layout, putting the coffee machine by the door and place where you hang up the clothes, small tight area not very practical. Staff were very nice.

Rooms were nice. Not enough elevators — they take forever and were PACKED when they arrived. Pool was in disrepair, liner was bunched up, ladder was loose and there were random sharp elements which cut my husband’s finger and my daughter’s leg. Also: they might want to look into a “family floor” as we were kept up by partying 20-somethings on Saturday night until 11PM and woken again at 4AM on Sunday morning. They also seemed very understaffed at check out time, and it took 45 minutes to retrieve our car from valet one morning (at least they waved the fee for one day, as a result). We usually stay at the Sheraton or Marriot, and this Hyatt experience will not change that.

The remodel was gorgeous. The rooms are high tech and very modern/posh. We haven't eaten at the 2 on-site restaurants or bars but they're always packed and they smell amazing. It's super convenient having Starbucks on the street level for as well. We will definitely stay again.

Great hotel. Loved it. Nothing better than going to a hotel and not getting grossed out by the carpet, bed, or bathroom. It was cleaned as though I was the first person to use that room. This is how all reputable hotels should be like.

Service was great. Room was nice but the bathroom door was close to the bed. Other rooms probably have a slightly different set up. Great stay overall.

We had a wonderful time at the Hyatt for the Girl Scouts of Western New York's Annual Gold Awards Luncheon. The room looked fabulous, the chicken lunch was fresh and tasty, and the wait staff even roasted the marshmallows for our S'mores Dessert Table! Lovely event!

Very nice hotel in downtown Rochester. The best part are the rooms. Modern design with hardwood floors, comfortable bed, a great lounge chair by the window with a great view of Rochester. The layout of the hallways seem to provide a smaller amount of rooms on each side of the elevator which seem to promote a quieter atmosphere in the room. Great experience!

My husband and I, who recently married this past Saturday, had our reception at the Hyatt Regency and cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. We were so impressed that we wanted to write a review and I was very shocked to see some of the comments posted. The hotel renovations are BEAUTIFUL — we were at a wedding their a few years ago and it can't even be compared. Our experience was great! In the many months leading up to the wedding, we primarily worked with HelenLou Barden and Chet Whisler to coordinate our big event. They are hands down the best duo in Rochester wedding history. Both were very helpful in accommodating all of our wishes and making our guests feel welcomed. We had many family come in from out of town so we absolutely wanted to make sure they had a nice place to stay and were well taken care of. My father-in-law ended up reserving a small suite to host guests during the day — Chet really executed our vision of using the room for this purpose and even had cocktail tables set up in the room, impressive! We also rented out the presidential suite to host a private cocktail hour for the bridal party. Staff brought up appetizers for us and went around asking everyone who would like a drink. This was such a nicely added small but thoughtful gesture that again, made us feel like our guests were being a little pampered :) As far as the reception room goes, it looked stunning. The set up was beautiful and exactly what we pictures it to be.

Awesome room and professional staff. We had a chance to meet the general manager. He was super knowledgeable and the most hospitable person I ever met.

The room was beautiful but they're having trouble with the air conditioning in a bunch of the rooms. Also the jets in the hot tub didn't work and the pool didn't look like anything cleaned in a very long time. Once these things get fixed it would be a wonderful stay.

Well I rented their room for about 170.00 night. I was thinking I would atleast get a free continental breakfast, after all I can get one at any 40 dollar room. So upon checkout I see signs in elevator saying breakfast. So I follow them only to find out upon sitting that its about 12 dollars a person. Then being charged 10 bucks to park in their garage. I told receptionist I thought It was messed up they charged for breakfast after all I can get a continental at any. Motel she asked if I had a package deal… Really a package deal!

Nice room. LOUD room. The rooms are nicely remodeled but, due to the fact that most of the rooms in the hotel have doors to adjoin them to other rooms, you can very clearly hear your neighbors having normal conversations. I've never heard anything like this. At several points, it sounded like our neighbors were actually in our room, the sound was that clear. I called the front desk several times and the best they could do was send security which was silly because our neighbors were not being unreasonably loud, it was the fact that the walls didn't block sound. I would not stay here again.

When we arrived we were told we could find valet parking outside or park the car ourselves. There was no one outside to park our car and no place to leave our luggage, so we parked the car in the garage and carried all of our luggage from the parking garage into the hotel, then up to our room. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. We were with a large group and all weekend long there were long waits for the elevators because one of the three did not work at all. There was no out of order sign, it just didn't work. We went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast the first of three mornings and were told that there was only the buffet option and it was $16 ea. After we were seated a waitress came over with a raspy whisper, and said, "Would you like coffee"? I said to her, "Do you have laryngitis"? She whispered, "Yes, I have a sore throat". I said, "No thank you, I'll get my own coffee". Anyway, someone else brought us coffee and we ate off the breakfast buffet which was average at best and cost us $39. We don't usually eat that much breakfast. When we got back to our room I looked at the menu which had other breakfast options that had not been offered to us. I called to the front desk and asked it we could order off the menu for the next 2 days or was the buffet the only option? I was told that for the rest of the weekend we could order off the menu, that they were short staffed that day.

I really like this place. Covered parking garage attached to the hotel, pretty good breakfast buffet super staff. I take soy milk with my coffee, and often had to take the coffee to go, so I need a to go cup. The staff is wonderful about getting all this for me. I just wish they'd get in the habit of asking if we want cream because they just bring it out without asking. That's a waste if no one wants it or, like me, they'd rather have soy. The one huge complaint I have, is that the rooms are dark! There's lights between the beds and at the desk, but nothing on the ceiling or anything strong enough to really light the room.

Upon entering the lobby, I was impressed with the decor and staff. Very modern and updated. Staff was attentive and available. The elevators were a bit of a wait. Our room on the 17th floor was nice and updated. The bathroom was updated but still needed some attention like a new toilet seat. Overall the room was nice. We went to the pool with our kids and the pool was filthy. I mean, gross. Water was murky and visible hair was floating around. Hot tub was broken and closed. The pool liner is coming off in places, grate lids on bottom of pool were coming off. I used to be a pool manager and I could list many violations. Kids were playing with the lifeguard ring and the pool was way beyond capacity listed on the wall. Just not safe all around. Breakfast was nice and the staff again were great. If you are going here with kids, skip it. If you are going for business, you should have a decent time.

We were provided a complementary suite in consideration of poor experience at the hotel in 2016. The suite was fabulous and the renovations at the hotel have resulted in an upscale but comfortable destination. With a couple of minor exceptions, the service was at a high level. Friendly, courteous and engaging. The only blemish remains the pool area. Desperately in need of renovations, this "amenity" drags the rating down by a full star. I've always believed that the measure of a business is how they react when things don't go well. Good on the staff at the Hyatt for providing an (overly generous) response to the previous visit.

Had a one day trip turn into a 4 day trip recently & felt a “shout out” was deserved for the hotel bar & kitchen staff. Bartender was alone on a busy holiday — running around for more than just myself but ensured each guest’s need was met without seeming flustered. Kaitlin was attentive, hospitable, & went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable in the cold lobby area. One of the cooks in the kitchen (didn’t get his name but he said he was Canadian that part I recall) was working together with the bartender to help her catch up AND help her take care of her guests as well, which I thought was very honorable and excellent to see. Team work & customer service is top notch. Very positive, welcoming environment. Top notch staff like these 2 are hard to come by and the reason I will continue coming back. Keep up the good work guys!

This is a wonderful convention center in terms of space, but it needs the support of restaurants and other concessions to make it work. ENjoy the views, though. It is worth seeing, and the floor to ceiling windows make the light-filled space quite attractive.

As a business traveler it is mandatory that hotels do a good job of providing receipts. It is also much more convenient to receive receipts by email so I can process business expenses. The Hyatt is 0 for 6 on meeting its promise to email receipts over the past several months. Then I have to call 4 and 5 times to get them to provide the receipt. Hyatt front desk service really needs to improve.

The hotel was clean and fresh but I have stayed in places that have better security.

Where do I begin? Booked a 3 night stay for a conference with a company credit card. 1. They asked for a card for incidentals so I gave them my personal card. Right away a pending charge appeared for the hotel stay. I inquired and they said it's just because it's linked to the room with the company card and it will go away. 2. Room was clean and modern. However, there was a chair missing and the safe was closed and locked. I asked for the safe to be reset and they said they would send engineering. I also asked for a couple of extra towels and wash cloths. 3. The next day, the safe was still not reset. I left a note and a tip for housekeeping to please leave the items I asked for yesterday along with resetting the safe so I could use it. When I returned for the day at 3:30 pm, Housekeeping had not even been to my room. I stopped at the front desk on my way out for dinner and asked for housekeeping to go to my room. I was told they were really busy even though I hardly saw that cart move in the hallway. I returned that night and the safe was still not reset. 4. The following day, the room was serviced by housekeeping by the time I had returned at 12:00. Safe still not reset. I ordered a pot of coffee, cream and 2 cups later in the night. They delivered everything but the cups and then asked if I needed them. She returned with the cups and said I had to pay cash because there was no credit on my room. I told her there is a card on file and she can go back and figure it out.

Completely ridiculous cost for parking, couldn't figure out how to turn the lights on in our room, didn't get the kind of room we booked, hot tub was out of service — covered in plastic and peeling tape, no breakfast included — not even a bagel. I've stayed at other hotels for the same price and got way more bang for my buck.

It was clean, everything provided, decent gym and small pool. There's a nice balcony patio bar. Bar downstairs with decent beer selection. However, breakfast isn't included. Also parking isn't free. They validate it at a discount rate, but as I understood it, the garage rate was charged to your room.

WOW! My wedding was truly an amazing event thanks to Chet Whisler at the Hyatt Regency Rochester! From our initial inquiry and throughout every single stage of planning; even date changes etc. We always felt our needs were Chets priority. The venue is absolutely beautiful to begin with but once Chet and his staff arranged and setup the ballroom they transformed into the most elegant, glamorous event beyond anything I could have ever dreamt of. Our entire evening was perfect from a fabulous meal to special attention throughout the evening. Chet went above and beyond he personally took care of our head table and made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Rochester to anyone searching for professionals who truly care, deliver what they promise, and go above and beyond to make your event a dream come true. It is truly impossible to thank and to compliment Chet Whisler, enough!

Stayed here for a conference. Staff and amenities were very comfortable. Very good mattress and, as a side/belly sleeper, terrible pillows; the pillows are made of the faux down material and very fluffy. Bring your own pillow if you are a belly sleeper. Otherwise there is plenty of room for your stuff and a fridge and safe for your special storage needs. The light under the bed that's motion activated is a very nice touch.

The newly remodeled facility is great. The food as always was fantastic. My only complaint was that the rooms were too cold at the conference. Other than that, this facility is top notch for hosting events.

Attended the Rochester Security Summit at the Hyatt. The location was good for a conference of about 300 people. Good parking garage. Breakfast and lunch food was good. Clean and well kept facility.

We stayed on the 19th floor and had a wonderful view of the city and the river. The newly renovated rooms with hardwood floors are simply lovely. It felt luxurious for this price point. The beds were very comfy and the room was clean. Bathroom is very modern and chic. Check in was very simple and friendly. There's a Starbucks right downstairs. Kids loved the pool but the hot tub wasn't open. That area needs some updating but we had fun swimming. Parking ticket was validated and we paid nothing. Very happy with our stay and will be visiting again!

Great location, friendly staff. Hotel rooms are very modern and clean. Motion sensor floor level lighting on the bed is convenient. Would come again. Only drawback is the walls to adjacent rooms are very thin.

Totally sucked! They gave my daughter and son in laws room away because they didn't check in on time. However, the family had notified the hotel they would be a late check in when they made the reservation. It was the hotels fault and they didn't want to work things out. Instead they called security and throw out my daughter and son in law out of the hotel. The clerk was very hostile from the start. My son in law only wanted to get a room for their wedding night. If that wasn't bad enough the room I was in, A/C didn't work an instead of getting maintenance to come fix it, they gave us a box fan and said open the window! We were on the 20th Floor! For a fully remodeled Hotel that had just reopen for a few months it was in bad shape. When Maintenance showed up the following night. He asked how long it had been out? We told him since the night before. He asked us why we didn't contact the front desk when we found it not working. We told them we did and they gave us a box fan. He could not believe that they didn't report it to him the night before as they are supposedly on duty all night. Just another example of how poor the operates are that the Front Desk doesn't communicate with its staff. Also if you have issues with the hotel staff and even sound the slightest bit upset, they will call security and have you thrown out. So make sure you speak to them like they were 3rd graders. If you are even a little stern with them they will call security and have you thrown out.

Amazing room. Great location. Ideal for a concert at Blue Cross Arena. Air conditioning didn't work properly and they started doing some sawing/drilling at 8am that preempted my sleep.

The service at Starbucks would be better.

Great ameneties and comfortable bed. Very clean and easy to get to. Perfect spot near the convention center. At times could hear outside walls though. Would recommend.

Location was fine if you're in your car although there is construction currently. There were people begging for money right outside the main entrance which was uncomfortable for walking. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, more toiletries options than most hotels, great towels, comfortable beds, and neat lighting and no slam drawers. The clocks were wrong in our room but there was a clock shown through the bathroom mirror which was neat. I heard other guets complain about the parking garage and that the elevator wasn't clearly marked. There were also fireworks late last night but not the hotels fault. Nice breakfast buffet but a little pricey. Bar was nice. Thank you!

No clean towels for two days, construction everywhere, no room service available, hot tub wasn't working and there were so many people in the pool area that the noise level was unbearable,. I did bring my issues to the staffs attention but all I received was the cookie cutter response of "oh I'm sorry you are having a bad stay, but we are under renovations"… That doesn't excuse the attitudes of your staff though…

The renovated rooms are very nice and comfortable. Ask for a 01 room for the best views. Staff is courteous and helpful. Loved the digital bathroom mirrors and bed lights that turn on automatically when you get up.

Had a newly remodeled room which was quite nice. The lounge want serving food because the kitchen is being remodeled, so that was a bummer. All in all it was a good place to stay. 1 major downside is the elevator speed. If it is busy and you are on a high floor it can take a long time to get up and back down. I had to run up to my room on the 21st floor and it took 21 minutes to go up and down. It was a Saturday morning and very busy but we literally stopped at every floor.

Check in (without a reservation) was a bit long and tedious. Rooms were very cleaned and came with a modern looking TV which is not always a guarantee. In hotel Starbucks was useful but took a while to get anything on a Sunday morning.

I was there for a conference. My room got mixed up and the line to check in was very slow. The people at the front desk were nice though. Ultimately, the room situation was figured out, but it seemed like a silly mistake that shouldn't have happened in the first place.

The rooms that were revamped where nice, but my parents stayed in a room that wasn't at it was terrible! Luckily we stayed in a newer room. One of the reason we stayed here is because they have a pool. It was the grossest pool I have ever seen. Green, cloudy, stinky, and hunks of hair all over the pool area. They say this is a 3.5 star hotel and I strongly disagree. A hamton inn is 5 star compare to this hotel. Highly disappointed.

We visited the Rochester, NY Hyatt Regency location, it was under renovation at the time, but any staff we dealt with were very kind and hospitable. The renovated rooms were lovely! Fridges in each room were a huge convince! The only downsides were that there were many "night-light" features, that made it harder to sleep for us. But, a quite pleasant stay!

Where to begin… this place is under MAJOR construction. They should not be open kind of construction. It'll look great when all is done but wow, it seems pretty inappropriate to have people here. Good for them though; no business lost! That picture of the makeshift stair is the entrance, seriously. Check-in consists of a cardboard box with wood on top. Again, I'm serious — — no exaggeration. My first room was one of their prerenovation spaces. Oh heck no! I spent one night in that smelly carpet room and then asked for a switch. The new rooms are nice. It will be nice but unfortunately, it currently is NOT.

Hotel is currently under renovation so things are a little rough. Rooms are definitely nice and have a modern aesthetic but a little noisy as the floors are not carpeted. Overall the stay was good and and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm sure once the renovations are finished the rest will be very nice.

It was good but the rooms are old.

In an area near the river of Downtown Rochester that is being revitalized, this is an updated and well appointed hotel with excellent food, very comfortable rooms and quite pleasant to stay in. My only complaint is that parking in the hotel garage used to be $4.00 per night and the new owners have raised it to $12.00!

I went to a fundraising event at the Hyatt. The food and service were excellent. The ballroom was decorated beautifully and even had colored lighting which definitely added to the ambiance. Valet parking was quick and efficient.

The hotel location is ideal as it is in downtown Rochester. Unfortunately, the hotel rooms are older decor, and the bathrooms are reminiscent of a dorm bathroom. Overall, the hotel staff are excellent, and the persons operating the front desk were wonderful, but management would be well advised to update this aging hotel.

We decide on this hotel because it was close to things we wanted to do, but before booking we wanted to make sure they had a jacuzzi and pool as this was important to us, so we called the hotel. We were told about there wonderful pool and wellness spa. The Pool was ok, but a wellness spa… omg the portable blow up hot tubs are bigger than this wellness spa? and was very low on water as well. We checked out and we couldn't get them even to comp our $4 parking. Never again.

Here for a short vacation. Room was clean and neat. Service was excellent and very helpful. Great location close to many different points of interest. Convenience store on property a tad pricey but expected when in the hotel.

This hotel is in major need of room updates. It's dirty, worn, and depressing. I travel weekly for business & have staying at all hotel brands & star levels throughout Ohio, PA, WV & W NY. This property is older which I understand but thus far my experience here has left me very upset, and on edge. The bedskirt in my original room had a stain on it that seeped into the box spring. The hotel moved me from a king room to a double bed room. The carpet in the new room is filthy & has multiple stains throughout. The fitness center sanitizer wipe containers were both empty so I informed the front desk. And my favorite was visiting the ice machine and finding a chicken wing bone on the floor. Room service menu lacks options, the past at Primavera described as Angel Hair, local vegetables & parmesan cheese was thick spaghetti noodles with carrots tomatoes & asparagus & a glob of melted cheese maybe mozzarella for $18.00. I honestly am not one to complain but am totally regretting my decision to book 2 nights here. Trust me, I can see into the elevator lobbies of the Hilton Garden Inn next door & want to be there.

I chose to stay here during my business trip to Rochester based on my experience at a Hyatt Regency in Birmingham, AL. Some of the furnishings weren't as modern as I had expected, but still far better than most hotels. The staff was pleasant and happy to do everything I requested. The one thing I would have preferred is if the parking deck was able to use the hotel key cards instead of tickets. I will definitely continue to use Hyatt Regency hotels whenever possible.

I recently attended an event on when up the upper floors of the Hyatt. The room had plenty of space for our large group and the audio equipment work out well for the size of the room. My only complaint would be when leaving everyone had to file down a single escalator (the elevators were left for those who actually needed them). There was no other staircase nearby from what we could see so it was a slow process.

Beautiful decor, updated atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. Food/catering a little lacking, though ideas were great, quality of produce and outsourced ingredients lower than expected for this classy establishment.

I visited the Hyatt Regency Rochester for a work event. The ballroom was spacious and very professional. The staff was curious and even stood outside in the freezing weather to hold the doors open for several hundred people. I would definitely like for my company to do business here again.

The room was clean and had a great view of the city. The room had nice amenities including glass cups (which is simple but I really appreciate), a good sized TV, very effective curtains, and a bathrobe. The carpet was a little worn and the TV image not as sharp. Everyone that we dealt with while we were there was very friendly and helpful. It turned out that our stay included breakfast which was delicious! This breakfast normally cost $19, which we agreed it wasn't worth that much but it was by far the best breakfast we have had at a hotel. (There was some confusion as we booked through hotels. Com and we chose an option that said included breakfast which it sounds like it shouldn't not have said, but they we accommodating and we got a nice meal) We loved being downtown and we're so pleased that it was quiet during the night (no street noise or people in the halls). Parking cost $4 which isn't included and would have been nice to know ahead of time or just have it included in the room. You have to have your parking ticket validated each time you came in which is a bit of a bother. Overall, would stay again!

I love the Hyatt downtown. The rooms are always affordable, clean and nice. The only issue that I had was in reserving my rooms. I used the (mobile) website. After putting in all my info, it said that there was an error. I tried again later with the same result. After a while I ended up getting two confirmation emails because both transactions worked. I called to cancel one and did (the woman was very nice) but then got a call later because it didn't get cancelled at the Hyatt downtown. Everyone was very nice and they took care of it with no issues, it was just very odd.

Excellent hotel and staff. Very clean rooms, friendly bar staff. Would stay here again!

The hotel clean with nice staffed but you can't access the Internet on work laptops due to a "firewall" this is a major inconvenience and has never happened to me at any other hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for anything work related.

I decided to take a spur of the moment trip to visit a friend in Rochester. Upon arrival at the airport, I called the hotel to get a shuttle around 9pm, they arrived about 30mins later. The driver was polite and courteous, and warned me that a Jehovah's Witness conference was staying at the hotel (which is connected to the convention center). The room was well maintained but the toilet's handle was coming off. Otherwise it was nice and clean with a sort-of view. My room was facing the convention center/river direction. I was not high enough in the hotel (23 floors) to see the river from my room. I dined in the hotel a few times and it was decent, though very limited options both in the bar and food. Expect to pay higher prices for in-hotel dining. Lobster Mac and Cheese was $23 for a 12oz portion, though it was packed with large pieces of lobster, the asparagus was the thing of nightmares. Draft beers run about $8 at the bar and dining area. A nd even though I ate at the restaurant multiple times, my tables had a set of jams and preserves at all times (morning, lunch and late night), while not all tables had them. Some tables had placemats but never at the table I was seated at. Servers were not very attentive during meal times. Sitting at the bar was the best service.

Love this hotel. I would stay here for a month if I could! Very nice spacious rooms with wonderful beds!

Wonderful staff. Addressed, and remembered, me by name; whether I was at valet, passing through the lobby or enjoying a cocktail. Every person I encountered was so pleasant.

They hosted a disco night and I could hear the music all night long. Will not stay there again.

Website changed the dates of my reservation — fortunately I caught it. I called the actual hotel and was transferred to the main reservation number. I hope they review my call because this woman was incredibly rude. I was treated so poorly when I tried to change the date that I cancelled the reservation. I'll stick with Hilton from now on.

We reserved 14 rooms with 2 beds months in advance. Once at the check-in desk, only a few of our families were given the room they paid for. The rest got rooms with a single bed. Try to imagine a family of 4 in one bed. So they gave some of them some uncomfortable bunk beds and a ridiculous 25 % rebate. And for the rest of the families who didn't get a bunk bed, well, the floor became their bed for the night. That affected our weekend considerably, since we were in Rochester for a soccer tournament, all the way from Montreal. When I was asked, by email, to comment my stay, I explained how bad they had managed our resevations and how unrespectful it was to give people such a bad treatment. This is what I got from the Assistant Front Office Manager. We do our best to accommodate our guests with their requests; however, we cannot guarantee room types. Our staff cares about our guests and we appreciate the time you take to travel too us and spend your weekend here. What a joke. I made a comparision for her to understand. If you go to a restaurant and order a large pizza for the whole family. Can you imagine the server coming to your table with two toasts, a couple of tomatoes on the side and a slice of Velveeta, explaining that they're out of pizzas? This hotel doesn't care about their guests. They care about getting it full and making money. That must also be why they charge you to use the internet from their lobby computer.

Great staff and close to my project. Everyone is so nice and accommodating! I am there all the time and enjoy it. The food at the restaurant is great too. Good job.

Worst stay ever. Nothing was free. Breakfast was $18 per person. The parking ticket validation did not work. We were told we had a king suite but I've been in queen suites more spacious. Nothing was within walking distance. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Over 40 days ago, we checked into the Hyatt Rochester NY for the night. We left our car with the valet. By the time we reached our room, we received a phone call “ Your vehicle has been in an accident — please come down to the lobby”. A police report and car damage quote later, our vehicle sustained almost $8, 000 worth of damage while in the care of the valet at the Hyatt Rochester. We responded decently to the entire situation after being promised by the manager on duty, Sam, that our vehicle would be covered in full by the valet company’s insurance. We trusted that, got all the police paperwork and drove our damaged car back home to Canada the next day. Once home, the games began. No one returned our phone calls or kept us informed of what was going on — not at Fireman’s Fund, the insurance company, not by a manager named Sang at Hyatt Rochester (or any other manager), not at Hyatt North America Customer Service and not by Mike from the Valet sub-contracted company. Days and weeks passed with the buck being passed and the promise being given that “Someone will get back to us by the end of the day”…. Well, here we are over 40 days later, our car still in the same damaged condition and guess what we have? A valet company and insurance company that now says they’ll only cover partial damages (?!?! ) and the Hyatt which says “It’s not our responsibility”. (Really?!
