Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. The rooms were well maintained by the cleaning staff. We enjoyed our stay.

Old hotel but has an unforgettable charm. Recently moved in here and couldn't be happier.

Pros: • Friendly staff • Old building with character • Close to restaurants Cons: • Building creaks a lot • Takes a while for heating system to kick in • Very starchy sheets, not cozy • Dimly lit room • Had to jiggle the key in the lock a particular way to get the room door to open.

My father lives in an apartment in the 6th floor. The view from his room is awesome, he has a perfect view of the electric tower where they drop the ball on new years, so I'll be watching from there this year. Plus the view of the lake behind all the buildings is beautiful! I also met another resident in the elevator on the way up to my dad's room and he was very nice. The lobby is clean as well. Its an old building, so it's not perfect, but it has character.

We have been staying at the Lenox off and on for 30 years. The improvements are amazing. The rooms are modern in an old style hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Allentown location has a lot to offer on it's own.

The room key was an actual key, so if you lost it, it would something like 25$. ATM machine didn’t work, for us at least. The doorstop was in the middle of the floor and lay out to find the room was bad. It had like to luggage carts. Only reason it is a 2 star, is because the actual room is bad, it is good. Overall pretty bad hotel…

Gorgeous Hotel and Apartments. Clean, friendly staff. Convenient location, good amount of parking available. Great place to stay for Buffalo history.

Attended a baby shower in the banquet room. Wonderful staff, very nice food. Highly recommend for any large gathering.

Very nice comfortable bed, blanket and room. A little trouble with water temp in shower, either real hot or cold. Finally got under control. I would stay in again. Close to Roswell hospital, which comes in very handy.

Biggest mistake ever! I booked this hotel without reading the reviews as I was in a hurry to book the same day to visit my grandma in the nursing home nearby. I have stayed in numerous hotels and this was my worst stay ever. I come into the room and see 3 or 4 hairs on my bed (I have no hair myself being a bald man), the blanket is full of static electricity, the TV remote does not work (not a big deal), and the water is completely boiling hot with no cold water working to mix with the hot. The room also had an old dingy feeling to it which I could have gotten over it they just put clean sheets on the bed and fix the water. Luckily they gave me a new room where the sheets were better but water still hot hot hot and it didn’t get back to normal by the morning time when I left. This is an old building which is likely the reason but not really acceptable for a hotel where guests are here short term and need normal water. Had to brush my teeth using bottled water and forget a shower because I would have been burned and in the hospital. Wifi also stunk but that can happen anywhere. I went online very quickly after checking in to look at other reviews and then I figured out my situation was similar to others so I didn’t bother asking for a refund or to complain and ask if I could leave. I just sucked it up and stayed and learned a very valuable lesson to always read reviews. If I could give 0 stars I would.

A reasonably priced and historic hotel. The Lenox Grill in the basement of the hotel is great serving the best wings I tried in Buffalo. Did I mention the hotel is apparently haunted?

Hotel is very old and eclectic. Centrally located, close to down town. Room was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom small. Combination hotel and residences. Residence room next to us was smoking, some leaked into our room. Non smoking hotel.

Very thin walls. From my room I could hear the front desk. The hallway smelled like cigarettes. Overpriced for what you're getting. For a similar price you can get much better options in Downtown Buffalo.

The Lenox Hotel has a great bar on the border of Downtown Buffalo and Allentown. They have some pretty outstanding wings and a huge craft beer selection, far superior to any hotel bar you're ever attended.

Lenox is a fantastic hotel. No, it's not a huge corporate chain; it's not a Hilton or some other pompus pampered chain hotel. It has history, it is an independent hotel. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. Rooms are simple and very clean! The Lenox is right downtown and is walking distance to many points big interest. The bar and grill is amazing. For craft beer people, the beer list is massive! Beers are in can; the just got Big Ditch Hayburner on tap. The food is phenomenal and is all done in house. The Lenox is the only hotel I book when visiting!

Amazing experience, great view and wonderful people! Leah stole our hearts and made us feel so at home! ❤️ Definitely will be back, but we’re sorry to see Leah go, and wish her best of luck at her new job!

Its very like old fashion looking as if you are in one of the rooms to a simple Victorian mansion lol … its nice … I had a foot fetish meeting with a cool lady there.

Great location close to downtown and good amenities. Situated in a very nice area with large old homes and mature trees. The building is a great old building with lots of charm and character. (Loved the old elevator) The restaurant/bar has great food and a nice atmosphere.

Good hotel. Clean and comfy rooms. Definitely an older building — you can tell by the style of the rooms. Staff were very helpful with advice on where to go and things to do.

Be warned. Bedbugs. I rarely write a negative review, but I feel strongly that I need to warn the public. We found a bedbug crawling around in the room, and actually caught that sucker in a plastic cup so we could bring it downstairs to show the gentleman at the front desk. He was extremely apologetic and empathetic and gave us large garbage bags to seal all of our belongings in — many of which we unfortunately ended up just throwing out to avoid risking the worst. The man at the front desk informed us that he could not issue a refund and that only the manager could do that (whom happened to be out of town). I e-mailed the manager that day and it took her a few days to finally address the situation and issue a refund. The only nice thing I can say about this place is that it's a beautiful historic building that has been around for over 100 years. The old marble floor in the lobby is pretty. But at what cost? After having to throw out some of our favorite items of clothing, I really don't care how pretty the floors are. I'm sorry to have to write such a negative review, but I genuinely feel I would be doing the public a great disservice to NOT write this.

Stayed for only one night but definitely enjoyed my stay. Very dog friendly/oriented hotel which I haven't seen much of, but super welcoming. It's like every time I got out of the elevator there was another sweet dog I could pet! The front desk people were always nice and helpful, room was clean and had a beautiful view. Adored how historic it was not to mention affordable! Definitely coming back on my next trip up.

We came for the $49 dinner for 2 prime rib special. It included a small salad, 10 Oz portion of prime rib cooked medium rare, smashed garlic potatoes and sautéed zucchini. It also included a bottle of wine (pinot grigio, chardonnay, malbec, pinot noir or cabernet). We had the pilot noir which was from Smoked Loon and a great complement to the dinner. Dessert was NY Style cheesecake, lightly drizzled with a caramel sauce — very light and flavorful, not dense and overwhelming. We had an excellent server who was very knowledgeable about their vast bottled beer selection.

Started off drinking in the bar to meet some college friends who were visiting buffalo, bartenders were very friendly and seemed to be enjoying their night showing us their kiwi drink. Then later got to visit the rooms which were small but pretty nice, but the hallways and elevators are so winding and antique/creepy that its almost as if it could be a in horror film! Pleasant experience though, might stay there for a night if I saw a good pricetag.

Excellent bartenders, relaxing atmosphere, insane beer list, and good food combine to make this a nice spot to get away to.

Largest beer selection in the city. Not many taps to speak of but their claim to fame is in bottles. They literally have a book of beers. The food is tasty as well.

Terrible experience! My fiance and I stood valentine's weekend at the Lennox and we're abruptly awakened at 3 a. M to non stop arguing by a neighboring room. After about 15 minutes of waiting for it to be over I called the main desk he assured me he would take care of it. 10 minutes later my fiance and I heard him ask the occupants of the room to keep quiet and they did… for all of 2 minutes. The arguing ensued but had gotten worse we had heard thing's being thrown in the room and what sounded like a physical confrontation. I again called the main desk only to be told that he couldn't do anything about it. At that point we had enough I had knocked on the door to ask them to keep quiet a young lesbian couple answered the door one with a bloody mouth and became argumentative with me and my fiancé. We returned to our room to avoid a confrontation and decided to notify in person the employee at the front desk of the situation and of our displeasure. At this point it is 330 a. M and the lennox employee has no interest in the fact that he has two unhappy customers in front of him and cares not that another customer is being assaulted on the 8th floor he only says "there's nothing I can do" my fiance and I were disgusted and decided enough was enough packed our bags and asked for a full refund which was also denied to us l, instead he gave us the names of two "managers (Suzy & Molly) he told us that we would receive a full refund the following in the morning.

Would never stay here again! A couple in the neighboring room was loud and fighting kept us uo from 2:30 — 3:30 when we finally called down to the front desk. The attendant came up and simply told them yo cut it out. Still about 20 mins later they were still loud and disruptive. We called down to complain again when the attendant said "well I already went up once, I don't k ow what you want me to do". Shortly after we decided that we were exhausted and just needed to go home. When we asked for a refund we were told to call after 9 am and speak to the manager, but not to worry that they will make things right and give us a refund. We talked to someone e that next day and was again told that we needed to call the next day to speak with someone else, but not to worry we would get a full refund. So the next day were told that we can not get a refund because we stayed for more than half the night… worst hotel experience ever, worst staff, and even worst managment! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! We will continue to be persistent on getting our money back!

Not worth your money! This hotel has no comparable hotel amenities for the market, nor does it have the employees to support a hospitable environment. The room was extremely small and did not have any cold water. The front desk stated that they "mixed" their water lines and gave a long list of specific instructions on how to get a safe temperature to shower in. We stayed at this hotel as a last resort; I highly recommend staying elsewhere if at all possible.
