Quaint friendly get away. Cute rustic rooms with friendy staff. Great price as well!

Nice outdoor space. Very quiet and peaceful. Staff/owners her/ accomodating. Rooms badly need updating. Beds not comfortable and sheets are like sandpaper. Old facilities and portable a. C. In rooms. Rooms smelled like burnt firewood.

The lodge is very centrally located and offers everything your heart desires! Insanely friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and large rooms, pool, hot tub, beautiful facility and very good value — performance for money!
We are very satisfied and will be back!

This place is a economy cabin with comfort although with taken meds that requires refrigeration I learned need to call in advance and as I for this as they to have which accommodates and the staff: Alejandra was, awesome as well as management: Tony & Vicki! Thanks for everything!

Absolutely great place to stay. Rooms are wonderful & prices are reasonable. Close to everything mid town. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else but West Winds from now on. Tony (the owner) & his wife Vickie are very pleasant and made my stay that much more enjoyable! Great Job Guys!

For a motel, it is pretty nice. Rooms are practical. Nice indoor pool. Staff is awesome.

The condos are very comfortable and they are very clean. They are very well located. The staff is super friendly.

Benefits: location, property, and noise level. Location was perfect and we could walk right to downtown. The property was in a beautiful area and the ground were well kept. Considering the lodge was completely book for the New Year, we never had a noise problem. The room has it's own heater and it worked well. They swept and provided clean linens each day. The style of the room was very cute, and the direct TV was a nice bonus. The pitfalls were: the bathroom "door", the beds, the office hours, the water leak, and the other guests. The bathroom didn't have a real door just an accordion vinyl "door" which was falling apart, didn't close all the way, and did NOT provide privacy most people would want while using the bathroom. Anything you do can and will be herd/smelt/seen from the room, so only venture if you're very comfortable with that idea. The bed sunk in, both my husband and I left with back aches. We had no creamer or sugar for our room in the morning and when I went to ask for some, the office wasn't open, I went back later that day and they had closed early. I didn't call the emergency number because I don't think creamer is an emergency but they do have an emergency number. There was a water leak above our toilet in the bathroom. The ceiligin tiles were disgusting, sagging down, and we could hear the water dripping all night, especially since the bathroom "door" wasn't sound proof at all.

Great prices, great rooms, great location, owners are so nice. I will recommend to friends and family, I and will be back.

I loved this place! The owners were awsome, beds were comfortable and cabin room was just what we wanted in the mountains! I will stay here again and bring family and friends!

Love the location. I sat out every chance I got in porch swing, admiring the trees and enjoying the coolness. About 2 blocks from the main drag. Clean lodge and accomodating folks. I could have used a little more space since we had 3 suitcases, but, I can also adapt!

Rustic and charming. Very clean and simple. Has all the necessities. Very unique atmosphere. Pool and hot tub great for the family. Office isn't open 24/7 and when we came to check in they were out and was back when the sign said.

Rooms are small, out dated, the tub leaned down hill, refrigerator is a hotel sized fridge, no containers to store left over food in if cooking, no smoke or carbon monoxide detectors, flimsy accordion door on bathroom which was coming apart, beds are soft but not comfortable bc the bed sinks in the center leaving you with a back ache. Stayed at the Comfort Inn the night before which was spacious, clean, free breakfast and much cheaper than this location. Definitely would not stay again. Owners are friendly though!

We rented a condo and had a great weekend. Very clean. We loved sitting on the back patio and watching the deer walk by every morning and evening. A group of 3-5 always seemed to be around. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the condo could use a little cosmetic work, ie. Paint, new bathroom doors, bent bathroom shower rods, etc. It may seem trivial, but for the price we paid (about $200 per night) I expect those little things to be perfect. Overall great stay, would definitely return!

If you are looking for a good experience while staying in Ruidoso STAY AWAY from West Winds Lodge! If I could leave zero stars for a rating I would, but since a single star is the lowest possible rating then that is what this place deserves. West Winds is EXTREMELY overpriced for the level of accomodations it provides. From checking in to checking out this is by far the worst place to stay in Ruidoso. Period! From the outdated decor, broken jacuzzi and filthy swimming pool to the lack luster application of floor based refrigerated air units in every room with duct taped vents to the windows. The couches in the condo units were so low to the ground that if you are elderly or have any disabilities you will be unable to stand up from sitting. Lighting was sparse and even using the kitchen and hallway lights we had to move a lamp from the living room to see our food. When we tried to enjoy the backyard patio or balcony we were unable to because of the amount of cigarette and cigar smoke coming from either side of the condo unit. If you want to shower after a long day at the golf course or hiking the local mountains the disappointment continues at West Winds with the restroom facilities. The toilets are circa 1980 as they are as low if not lower to the ground as the couches. The shower is also from the 80s as the shower head is about 5 feet tall and feels as if a water hose could do a better job of bathing. Anyone above 5 foot 6 inches should look to bathe elsewhere.

Had a gas leak in room but was upgraded for free. Friendly staff and nice rooms.

We come every year for Valentine's day. The staff is great, great hot tub, and good service.

The front desk staff was amazing. One of then even gave us some of her own tooth paste as we had forgotten ours. The rooms were nice and clean. Older TV, but thats not why we were here. The hot tub was great, we were in it as the snow was falling. All in all a great stay at an unbelievable price point.

My family and I stayed in their condos for a Christmas vacation this last week. The location is awesome. A two minute walk from stores and the WPS. The condo we stayed in had four queen sized beds and with the couches, it easily housed my family. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful.

Very nice and affordable. We stayed in a two story condo. It had a fully loaded kitchen with everything we could need. Would stay there again given the chance.

First off, you're greeted by friendly staff. They even have a packet set for later arrivals with a nice message plus information on what to do in Ruidoso. Teresa was very helpful up front and took her time to answer my questions on good restaurants and music possibilities. The room is clean, comfortable and the hot tub is simply exceptional to enjoy and look up at the stars after a long drive. For certain, it's a great value for travelers looking to enjoy their time in Ruidoso.
