I was very disappointed in my stay. I don't expect much from a Motel 6. I realize I am only spending about $50 for a night. But I do expect the rooms and the building to be relatively clean. When I checked in, my room was not clean. It looked like someone had been living there. There were push pins all over in the walls, the TV didn't work, the wireless password didn't work. There was only one towel, washcloth, and hand towel. Things were broken. It was just very disappointing. The folks at the desk did fix the TV and wireless for me but they were non to happy to have to help me out. When I turned the bedding down on the bed the sheets actually looked like they had been slept in. But when I sat down I was disgusted to find hair… lots of hair… all over the sheets. By this time I was very upset. I went to the front desk and asked for a different room. The clerk was very rude and acted like he was doing me a big favor to accommodate me. The second room was a little better but not much. At least the sheets looked clean. The lights were broken, the curtain was hanging off the rod (I fixed this myself) the night stand was about to fall off the wall. The shower dripped all night long but thankfully the air conditioner was so loud I could only hear the dripping when it wasn't running. And worst of all, cigarette smoke seeped into the room the whole time I was there. Especially in the bathroom.

Wow, kind of hard to explain with words how great the staff member who should be a manager is when you come in! Sheila is awesome & went out of her way to help us & make sure we were comfortable. We booked our room last minute & barely had enough to stay & she went out of her way to help us out. The room was perfect, plasma screen & clean. I’ll definitely be recommending this hotel to all my friends who come to Ruidoso & to anyone reading this.

Our stay was ok. Sheila had great customer service she went above and beyond to get us the missing items that we needed for our room. My rating goes to Sheila and her great customer service not some much the facility itself.

My family and I stayed 5/4-5/5/18. We loved it. The staff was great. Couldn't ask for more professional persons aiming to please. Reserved earlier in morning. Room was ready early p. M. Thank you both Viral, and Sheila. We will be back, and recommend anyone looking for a comfortable bed and quite atmosphere to do the same.

First and foremost, when we walked in we were welcomed. The NEW GM Viral was very friendly and polite and got what we needed for our room. Sheila the lady up front was very friendly and knowledgeable about things in town. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we did sleep great. It was very quiet. We loved the stay. We will be back.

It was good. Loved the pool and hot tub. The staff seemed overwhelmed though. There was only one person working the front desk so people had to wait what seemed like forever to get their rooms.

Well overall, we only had no TV as we lost control of the Roku.

It was a nice quiet stay. A clean motel 6, not too bad. Stayed with our two small dogs and all was accommodated. Would stay again.

This is a great place to stay with kid's on a budget! They have a in door pool open all year, they don't have breakfast but they were very helpful with pointing us in the right place to go. The hotel is right by everything. The service at this motel 6 is outstanding, every time we came in the hotel or was walking out they always made us feel right at home. We will be coming back very soon to stay again. Thank you Teddy, Mia and Helen for an amazing stay.

The hotel was dirty and the room that we got was small and looked and felt like a broom closet. The beds were uneven one was lower then the other. The T. V didn't work with the remote you had to be right in front of the T. V for it to work. The bathroom had no toiletries and the toilet paper roll was almost done and they only left us with one extra roll for four people. One elevator in the whole place that made a horrible screeching sound when you go up and down and we happened to be right across from the elevator. The pool was dirty and gross. I paid extra to get the indoor pool because I had booked the travel lodge and they only had an outdoor pool so I paid more for the Motel 6 and I wish to God that I didn't it was disgusting.

We checked in for 3 days 2 nights, the second day we were not changed from towels or glasses to drink water.

Good hotel, lackof little maintenance but overall is ok. It is clean and comfortable and it is very relaxing that you have swimming pool and jacuzzi covered and air-conditioned.

Staff is very friendly, we stayed here for a week and everyday they acknowledged us. Loved the pool, the water is very warm.

My first impression, not very clean. The smallest details can make a huge difference. When we first walked in everything seemed dirty. Trash cans, floors, walls, carpet. The staff that we encountered were very nice. The elevator could have used a good scrub down as well as the pool area. I was a little surprised people were in there. Our room was a decent size. There were 2 big box t. V. ’s and neither worked. The towels looked dingy and the bathtub needed to be scrubbed a little more. When I turned the water on to shower, the water came out brown and there was not enough hot water for my friend who showered about 30 minutes after I did. You can also hear everything going on upstairs. I woke up at about 7 to, what sounded like a child running back and forth above us. I understand at the rate we paid, we are not going to get the top of the line but it does need to be cleaned up and upgraded a lot. I have yet to encounter a Motel 6 in this condition. I understand they are privately owned but I would assume since they are using the name, they would be held to a certain uniform standard.

The best thing about this place, beyond being inexpensive, is the excellent attention that all its employees provide to the customer. The facilities are basic, but they do their job.

The service was great. The room was awful. The lights flickered. The bathroom had cracked time and had grout missing. I went to give my kids a bath and the water was yellow. In the morning there was no hot water. We had no fire detector and where it was missing had wires hanging out of the wall.

Was looking forward to staying the night in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Having never stayed at a Motel 6 there-all I had to compare to was other places I had the pleasure of staying while in Ruidoso. My check in time was 4pm their time (I reside in Texas). I arrived at 5:00 (giving plenty of time for things to be in order) and I was taken back by how unprofessional the atmosphere was. The front desk was managed by a female that was more interested in telling me how glad she was she didn't have to work the next day and seemed extremely scatter brained about her duties. I asked where we should park according to our room location and by the time it was all said and done (lack of direction on her part) we move our vehicle 3 times. Paid and was assured our room was ready-turn to ask which way we needed to go once on our floor and she just stood there… as if she did not understand the question. At that time a "guest" answered for her. As we exited the elevator onto our floor it was loud and the house keeping staff seemed to be frazzled. Squeezing by the maids cart and dirty laundry in the hall-We make it to our assigned room. It was opened and still dirty. When I asked the house keeping staff about it… they replied in a very frustrated way… we told her your room was not ready. Mind you-my check in was 4pm. The lady from the front desk acted like it was no big deal as we had to wait in the hall for 30min while it was being cleaned.

This is an amazing place. The employees are so nice and the pool and hot tub are clean. The beds are soft and rooms are clean. It's located 15 min from ski resort and smokey the bear park. It's a great place to stay with great prices. Ask for Teddy G he will definitely take care of your family like he did mine.

To tell you the truth my family and I had a horrible experience at your hotel. When we first got there, the guy at the desk was rude, he said" if your lucky it should be by 4pm"! When we finally were able to check in, it took about 30 minutes with only one other person in front of us. Later when we were in our room, we kept getting calls from people we didn't know. Then cops arrived and arrested a tenant for drugs! In the middle night we couldn't get ti sleep because one of the employees started fighting with someone in front of over Window. She was cussing and screaming obscenities for a long time. The room itself had no hair care products, and the thermostat was hanging off the wall. The elevator was very dirty, it had snot on the walls.

Our room did not have a fridge. You don't quite. Thank you.

The room we stayed in was very small and not very clean. The mirrors must have been cleaned with a dirty towel because they were dingy, not to mention the bathroom was not very clean. First time I have stayed in a hotel that didn't offer complimentary shampoo/conditioner, not even an iron and the towels were so hard, they felt like brillo pads. The next day when we left the room, we were gone for about 3 hours and came back and they still hadn't cleaned our room. We ended up just asking for clean towels. Only reason we didn't leave was because it was during the holidays and they were booked everywhere else. Don't recommend this motel!

So many things wrong with this place. The staff was very unprofessional, it’s as if the employees family was living there. As soon as we walked into our room it smelled like something was rotting, we could not stand the smell; it was that bad. The entire hotel was very dirty, the hall way carpet was not clean, the entire hotel smelled bad, there was trash everywhere, the side door was broken so I’m sure anyone could walk right in. We were extremely unhappy and shocked by the staffs behavior and we hope it gets addressed some how. We came here to have a good time and the front desk staff ruined the night for us, they either need to learn how to give good customer service or go find another job.

Good budget motel. Staff will go out of their way to assist you. Love the non carpet floors.

Location and service are great. Very convenient that you allow dogs. However, found several questionable stains on the carpet in the room. Front desk attendant said they were vacuum cleaner burns which made no sense. Been home for over 24 hours and I'm still itchy all over. I have taken several showers and washed everything I wore and dried in the dryer but still very itchy. Found a couple of small welts in my body. I checked for bed bugs but I checked along the edge of the bed only. I did not check the linens. Also very small towels in the bathroom and one had stains.

Your motel stunk so bad, I will never stay there or any other Motel 6 again. I can not believe you can not even shampoo your hall carpet. Use clean mops to mop your rooms. Clean your your shower tile. You know vinegar, ajax and bleach all work good. Very disappointed and will not refer anyone to stay there.

Our stay was exactly what we expected. Our room was clean and comfortable. We could not have asked for better service from friendly staff. Teddy and Tracy went above and beyond! We will stay here again.

I would not recommend staying here. The room I was in, suite 326, stunk so bad. It was like a stench of old moth balls. When I went to tell the front desk clerk, she told me that house keeping lives on the 3rd floor (323&324) and they are from Indian and they were cooking. I asked what are they cooking, should I be concerned? I have my daughter with me, what is going on? She told me it was nothing harmful, that it was just their custom. I asked her why does house keeping live on the 3rd floor? That's strange. Then my sister's wallet was stolen. We reported it to the front desk. We found out, later that day, that it was used at the Inn of the Mountain Gods, at a gas station, and then attempted to be used at Walmart. Red maroon Nissan 4 door, passengers side back window busted out with just a plastic covering it. 828 TXN NM plate. This was the same vehicle that was outside around midnight in the back parking lot, being loud. And again the next morning, out front. My sister is going to press charges. I do hope Motel 6 will cooperate in the investigation. From what I've seen and witnessed just from one night, I'm very disappointed with Motel 6. This Motel 6 is definitely not worthy of a star, but I had to put one to post!

Horrible! BED BUGS! We Stayed here for two nights. We didn't notice the room had bed bugs until the morning we got everything ready to leave. I moved the sheets to make sure we didn't leave anything in the bed and there they were! Bed bugs alive And crawling! I am so disgusted and now have to worry about these nasty bugs traveling to my home with us and around my two young children. I have pictures and videos of the bugs in the bed.! We called the hotel staff to come look and the woman with the name tag Denise just played it off as if it was normal and that as if it just happens. As if we shouldn't be so upset about it. This was definitely not normal and shouldn't be what any paying customer should have to to deal with! We were only refunded about half of what we had paid and this was not okay with me and we were told that is the best they could do. Very unhappy and will not be staying at a motel 6 again! I will spread the word that the Motel 6 in Ruidoso has a bed bug problem to protect other people from dealing with such an issue as we had. Very unacceptable!

Thought this was a great stay! Services we received were very satisfactory for the price paid. Only draw back that affected me was the fact that there was only one ice machine for the entire facility, but in all fairness I have to say that I had enough ice (our room was not equipped with a fridge).

I give no stars! Our experience here was the worst. First I didn't feel safe to leave my things in room. Thought it was very unprofessional that the employees and their family's live there. Shower curtain stunk and looked like it hadn't been washed EVER! Bed was supposedly a queen but I'm sure it was a full. Rooms are so small. Bathroom sink was clogged. Covers smelled gross. A/C shot out a lot of dust. Fridge made the most annoying noise all night. Stayed over night because I had no choice. Checked out first thing in morning. When though I was booked for two nights. When I went to check out I couldn't even get a full refund for the night we didnt stay. I think we should've gotten a full refund for the night we didn't stay. We were out by check out time. Worse experience! Would never ever recommend anyone! Every unsanitary and unprofessional!

Everyone was so helpful during our stay. Teddy is definitely an asset to this location as well as another gal who's name I didn't get but worked at reception. We never had any problems or issues and look forward to our next visit.

I want to first say that the staff were incredibly friendly, so this review is not a reflection on them. However, there was so much going wrong with this hotel. The price was trip the normal price because it was a busy weekend, but it was not worth the $122 a night that I paid. There were stains on the blankets and carpet, and holes in the sheets. The chemicals in the pool were too strong and caused our skin to burn and itch. After swimming we tried to shower, but there was a plumbing problem and the water was turned off for an hour. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the picture of the room I booked, but when I arrived neither were present so I couldn't cook the food I brought. The TV did not work and was just static. The 3rd floor was loud and smelled. It was the worst hotel experience by far. Definitely not worth the money!

This motel has some issues structure wise. The bathtub does NOT drain properly. The curtains are a bit tattered I did not feel like I had complete privacy. The bathtub and toilet fixtures need updating some black stuff around them and lastly the bed needs to be softer. The mattress was very hard.

Teddy G made the stay worth while. He was polite, helpful, and a true pleasure. The cleaning staff was very nice and cleaned our room before schedule since my newborn was crying. They all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I gave 4 stars because it's obvious that the hotel needs some updating.

Rude staff, completely unaccomidating to my needs when I made a reservation two weeks in advance telling them I needed a ground floor room due to having a bad back. Staff was rude, always outside gossiping rather than cleaning rooms. I was supposed to stay three nights. On the second day no one came to clean my room, bring me clean towels, empty my trash or nothing. I had to call and tell them no oen cleaned my room and I needed towels and toilet paper. A man brought me towels and when I asked about the dirty ones he said for ME to clean them all up and set them outside my door. Two out of the three ice machines in the building dont work, the lights in my room flickered and made a loud buzzing noise, my remote didnt work. I could go on and on about the terrible experience I had there. I was also overcharged for my room. In the end I checked out a day early because I was so unhappy with the experience. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again. I strongly urge anyone considering a stay there to reconsider. Spend the little extra money and get a better hotel. The savings you MAY experience there aren't worth the headache.

Our room was dirty, found broken glass, a dried up contact, crumbs ect on the floor, a stain of blood on the bathtub told front desk she looked and said oh its jus rust then left room, I washed it off with ease clearly not rust! The whole room was just dirty. The TV didnt work! Never will I stay again! Paid $95 to jus sleep in the bed cuz I was not about to use anything in that nasty bathroom!

My experience was not a good one. I booked online for a room with a queen size bed but got a full size bed. The clerk reassured me I was in a room with a queen size bed but all I can say is that I was looking at full size bed. Then when turning in for the night, I find long strands of hair in the sheets. I felt disgust. Glad it was only one night. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Will never stay there again.

Everything!. Customer service was strange. The hotel do not provide shampoo or pillows… and who knows what else?. If you need towels they will tell you nicely to come get them yourselves. Showers if you like water up to your feet while you are taking a shower then that would be a great shower for you… not for me :) The rooms do not look like the pictures, and beds smelled like Clorox. When walking out in the hallways many rooms were opened and rooms were not cleaned. It was nice to see unmade beds, beer bottles on the floor, and food/towels on the carpet and counters. Not to mention, we left all day and came back no one cleaned the room or the other rooms we saw were undone. I don't know who to blame management at that motel or the company Motel 6. Either way I will not stay at another Motel 6. I am happy to say the next night we left and stayed at Ruidoso Mountain Inn. It is very close to Motel 6 and the experience is heaven compared to Motel 6 and for pretty much the same price. I personally would quit and be ashamed working or be associated with Motel 6.

~Despite receiving a canned email response, that the situation will be looked into… nothing had been done. All the previous reviews are proof of the lacking. 1. Do NOT allow animals to be kept in the motel; Urine stench was horribly unbearable in room. 2. Make motel a Non-Smoking Building; forcing smokers to smoke outside-eliminating the nicotine odor and debris from inside the motel hallways and rooms. 3. Provide more and/or higher quality of bedding; cotton bedspread and top sheet not enough to keep body heat leveled. 4. The Bed Pillows need to be replaced, immediately. Providing extra pillows would help, immensely, especially since the pillows provided were so thin, that even doubling them over, didn't provide enough comfort for our heads. 5. Supplement more than 2 larger towels, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth per room. Additionally, it is time to upgrade the quality of the towels, since they are ALL dingy, thin, and the Bath Towels are the size of a Hand Towel. 6. Morning Coffee was made with cheap, harsh tasting/smelling grounds and having one canister was inadequate for all of the guests to have a cup in the morning. 6. 7. The Night Clerk's body odor (young male, age 24, who's wife also works at motel), was pungent. His lack of personal hygiene created an overwhelming reek, which was a disgusting and foul odor. and finally, 8.

Worst place ever. Bathroom was dirty. Bed linens were not fresh, but a wrinkled mess so I question how clean they were. Spa had some sort of growth around the edge, but was full of bubbles like an overloaded bubble bath which the staff assured me was normal. Place was over ran with rowdy kids. Never again.

Good facilities and clean and friendly staff. The price is the best. Recommended!

Very good location, room very comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly. Something that needs to be improved is the Wi Fi signal, is very weak.

STAY AWAY! This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in my life. Going in I had low expectations because I knew I was staying at a cheap hotel but I never would of guessed it could of been this bad. The hotel was understaffed and the staff that was there was extremely rude and unhelpful. Also the place was absolutely discussing, it looked like the lobby and the rooms have never been properly cleaned. Even worse when we arrived at 8:00pm at night we had to wait for 45 minutes before we could go into our room because the forgot to clean it. Once we finally did get into our rooms it didn't get much better. The pillows and beds might of well of been made of rocks because that's what they felt like. The next day we put up the do not disturb sign on our door handle but the maids completely disregarded it and came in anyways. The worst part about the maids coming in was they didn't even finish cleaning, they took all our towels and didn't give us any new ones. When I called down to the lobby to order new towels the staff said if I wanted new towels I would have to come down and get them my self. After all this I was pretty angry and just wanted to get a Coke and relax while browsing the web on my computer. But motel 6 took that away from me also. 2 out of the 3 vending machines where out of order and the other one was out of 75% of the drink options. So I go back to my room and try to use the Internet. Nope!

Older hotel so a bit noisy. Could hear people walking plus conversation in adjacent rooms. Did not keep us awake and fan noise covered it most of the time. Rooms were clean, tidy and well cared for. Maid service was excellent and the staff was prompt and always friendly. Was not my best stay at a Motel 6 but a good place to stay nonetheless.

I was very disappointed in this motel. I knew it was a Motel 6 and was not expecting a Marriott but the room was way overpriced at $126/night. The motel is old and in need of some major updating. The room was old, the beds were uncomfortable, there was no hairdryer. We spent two nights and when we returned to our room the first night the room had not been serviced. When we told the desk employee all we got was "I've been getting complaints about that". We were not offered any kind of refund. However, I must say that overall the employees were very nice and friendly. I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.

One word experience was wonderful.

We went on a Family outing, for my birthday! As we checked in we happily greeted by the front desk personel, and they we more than happy to help us with anything that we needed. I did notice that the elevator and and the doors we a little dingy and needed some cleaning. The room was nice, although the furniture was worn and the bathroom tile was broken. But the over all customer service made up for the little things that were not so great, although they did not provide breakfast, a coupon was given to us for one of the local diners! The indoor pool was nice, especially for my four year old, she loved the pool. Overall it was a great experience! The motel could use new furniture and a little spring cleaning and flat screen TVS, It was a great weekend.

We pulled into Ruidoso around 7 am, and noticed that check in was not until 2 pm. We had no reservations and we were in town for the cowboy symposium. That's a big weekend in this town, but the staff there were so helpful and let us check in early. We unloaded and went back down to the lobby where they continued to give us a great map of the town and offer up some great reviews on resteraunts in the area. After an eventful day we went up to our room and of course my 2 year old has an accident. I called downstairs to see if I could pick up some fresh sheets, and before I had a chance to get down there the night man brought up fresh sheets, blankets, towels and even some soap bars. I thought they would have simply laughed at me and told me to figure it out on my own, but they went above and beyond! for that, I will return to motel 6 Ruidoso every trip from now on.
