Have an elevator for 2nd floor rooms. We brought our cooler and it was too heavy to carry up the stairs to our room. So we took some food out to bring up to the room to keep in the fridge, and there was no fridge or microwave. The website said they had a pool and complimentary breakfast. The pool is closed for repairs and the breakfast isn't available because the truck hasn't come yet. On a positive note, the water pressure in the shower is nice and the pillows are comfortable and the room was very cool on a hot day. The reason I had chosen looking to in is because usually you can count on la Quinta to be above average. Sadly this Farmington location is not.
It is under new ownership, and the desk clerk told me that in a couple weeks the pool and the breakfast will be available. Which is great for the next people staying here in a couple weeks, not so great for us. Because I booked a reservation through a third party, there was no compensation given for no available breakfast.

The front desk lady was the best I have had ever. She was so friendly and helpful!

Stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful and comfortable time. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Loved the pool and the free breakfast. There’s even a pizza place right next to it so you’ll never go hungry. I’ll stay here every time I’m in Farmington. I was sad leaving because I felt so at home!

Aug 11, 2018 update Stayed here again due to lack of options. I travel with my dogs and its the only pet friendly place. This place is very rundown, and appears to have gotten worse. It's an older hotel, that you can rest your head for a night, but I would say avoid until they do some renovations. In our case we had a dog with us so we needed a pet friendly hotel otherwise I would have passed. The breakfast in the morning was your standard waffle maker, and other light junk.

This is a MOTEL not hotel. Do not "gamble" on this place with any of the travel sites. We were told only SMOKING rooms available, which was a total surprise… What kind of hotel has smoking rooms these days? At 11 pm in a semi-sketchy neighborhood, I had to sit in the parking lot to get my money back and try to book a different hotel. The front desk associate did give me my money back and was helpful and understanding.

The location that this hotel is in is conveniently located near diners and restaurants. There was also a park nearby that had a loop to walk around it. The service at the hotel was great, the front desk associates helped us out with any issues that we needed or needed fixed before the next guest arrived. The room was a little smaller for 3 adults to share. And there were issues in the room but overall, if I had to go back to Farmington, New Mexico, I would most likely stay here.

Clean, with facilities for people with special needs.

The staff was wonderful. The breakfast left a lot to be desired but the staff worked very hard to keep everything full and as fresh as possible. The lady who checked us in had a great attitude and proved to be very helpful. The property itself is not great. It's a little run down and the area is very noisy. The AC fan had no setting to stay on so we didn't even have that white noise to help us get some sleep. Overall it was adequate for a place to sleep if you get a good deal (like 0n a discount website). If the staff had not worked so hard it would have been a miserable experience. Kudos to the staff who do a lot with very little. La Quinta has improved by leaps and bounds over the last few years but they have not paid enough attention to this property.

Overall, not a pleasent experienced with La Quinta at the Farmington, New Mexico location. Especially paying over $100 for a room.

I was quite happy with my stay. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was the standard hotel deluxe continental… no problems to be had.

The rooms were modest but clean and comfortable. Josh at the front desk was outstanding. He recommended the Bisti wilderness as a slight detour to the Grand Canyon. Very glad we went extremely windy that day but the formations were very cool, also suggested going up to Colorado and checking out some of the parks in the four corners after the Grand Canyon. We really appreciated someone with local knowledge making these recommendations as we had an open week ahead of us. Chicago 9 Pizza next door was very tasty as well!

Receptionists are friendly and helpful. A safe and clean place to stay with good food nearby, within walking distance. A small (no fence) dog park area out back. No additional fee for pets.

It was a nice stay except for an employee named Dustin he was rude and didn’t accommodate. I had to send my daughter to get coffee because he wouldn’t give me any oddly ☹️ He’s very unprofessional and ruined my pleasant stay. I will not forget the unpleasant experience but everything else was nice. Ty.

Great rooms! Clean, roomie, and beds like heavenly clouds. Wonderful, professional, and friendly staff. Plus Pizza 9 fifty feet away. Always a pleasure when I stay. Thank you Farmington La Quinta.

Stayed here twice now and what a joy… from reservations to checkout. We’ll be in Farmington monthly for the next 6 months and will definitely be staying here! Kudos to housekeeping, great job!

I have always thought that La Quinta was one of the prettier hotels in Farmington. I like how you enter your room from the outside, eliminating the long hallways and the echo of people heard at all hours, like most other places. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there are a few different choices of dining and convenience stores within walking distance.

La Quinta is our go to hotel — it keeps Radar happy and let's be honest, if you have a dog in your life it's pretty important to think about them when traveling. As far as La Quinta's go, this one is top notch. Their are some that have been updated and are nicer, but the price also reflects those updates. We have stayed at this La Quinta five or six times now, the staff is the friendliest of all the LQ's we have stayed at — — and the rooms are well maintained (I wasn't standing in a tub full of water when I was taking a shower).

March (2017) my brother and I passed through on our way back from Arizona to Iowa after our father passed away. For spring break, Everything was booked and we spent most of our trip there and back sleeping in our cars. This motel was the absolute best place I've ever stayed… Clean, beautiful room. Great water pressure and the best part was they were pet friendly when we came back with our dads dog. The employees were amazing and so friendly. It was a great comfortable stay after such a stressful trip. The pizza place next door was useless, but a quick call to papa John's solved that. I grew up in Farmington so the trip there was very pleasant after being away for 15 years.

Very clean and a friendly staff comfortable bed and inexpensive.

Great place to bring your pet. There's a small dog park on the north side of the motel parking lot with a fence that divides the adjoining properties. There's a river walk across the street to the side of a vacant motel. It's good during the day. Though heed some caution at night.

Front desk was very helpful. Room was spacious and clean great price. Bed was so comfortable and walking distance to restaurants.

Showed up with no reservations and was able to find a room. Room had desk and office chair, and king sized bed. Water pressure was really high so felt like you were being pressure washed when you took a shower. The breakfast that was provided was good! Plenty of varitiy and most people could find something they'd like.

We stayed October 24th and 25th, room 130. The room was good and the price was great. We asked for a wheelchair accessible room so my mom could have handles in the shower, so the bathroom was humongous. Sadly, it's also ready for a remodel like yesterday. The drains are terribly slow and the ceiling has stains above the sink. I think the toilet leaked a little, too. The rest of the room was clean, the beds reasonably comfortable and plenty of towels. The breakfast was typical of a budget hotel, but they put out peeled boiled eggs (rather than the peel-it-yourself eggs) and they get an extra star for that alone. We would certainly stay there again, for sure.

We had a handicapped person in our party and specifically requested the first floor. We also requested two queen beds as there were 4 in our party. When we arrived, were told we had a room on the second floor, and it had only one bed. When we asked to make the appropriate changes at the desk, the employee stated that all he could do was give us another room. With accompanying costs. He said he was powerless to make changes. We had to stand in the lobby and call the reservation line in order to get the situation resolved.

Nice place to stay. Was comfortable while there. The usual frills. Small lobby. Bumping elbows during breakfast rush. Hard to get seats. Food was in the hallway where everyone just shuffle by each other.

The swimming pool was out of service. All the time is the same. I hope is going to be open in this days because I am working here in town and I need to do a work out a little and also the breakfast is kind of poor that is something that is easy to solve just going somewhere but I hate that all the time pools are out of service and sometimes they don't realize that we choose several places because of that.

Our room is perfectly adequate, but not perfect. The details of the room are not clean, like the desk chair or one spot on the wall. The air conditioner lets the room get a little too warm before kicking on. Even so, the room layout is spacious and nice.

Good value. Good location. Room was kind of musty smelling and vent didn't work in bathroom — but no biggie for one night while road tripping. UPDATE: the concerns were addresses with local staff and they were so accommodating and open to opinions. Definitely recommend this place after seeing their customer service.

The girl at the front counter was very nice and friendly. We got to our room and it seemed very clean, and the sheets smelled nice and fresh. When I went to breakfast in the morning the front desk was polite once again and the breakfast area was clean and tidy.

I am changing this from a 1-star review to a 5-star review based on the General Manager's response to my complaint. The issue was caused by one of her employees, and she was unaware of it and moved very quickly to do the best she could to correct it. I've stayed at this property before, and I will again, based on the GM obviously caring about this hotel.

This place was super clean. We got 2 nonsmoking rooms with double beds. One of the rooms mildly smelled like smoke but not bad. The front desk worker was very professional. He made sure we were happy with our rooms.

The room was as nice as you would expect a 60 dollar room to be. The beds were nice and the service was great. The reason for the three stars is the noise from outside was a little much. I could here people talking all night long. I Would Definitely Stay HERE again.

Woest hotel customer service ever. When I called and made my reservation, the clerk told me I could pay cash for my room as long as I could charge my card for the incidental fees, which is ok. When I got there to check in, they told me I had to charge the whole thing to my card because they dont accept cash suddenly. So I opted out and decided to stay somewhere that would accept cash. The bastards still charged my card. Screw La Quinta.

Good location and friendly staff. This LQ could use a remodel like others I've stayed in, but rooms are nice enough.

Location was good, just off the highway. Room was a smoking room and stunk of cigarettes. This didn't bother me but changing the AC filter and some fabreeze might help. Bathroom was kinda gross. Wasn't as nice as the other la Quintas I've stayed in.

Our overall experience was not horrible and we usually love La Quintas. The room cleaniness was very poor. There was hair in the bathroom. The shower was gross. The main room door had a visible gap on the bottom that you could see daylight through. I do NOT recommend staying at this location. It was disgusting!

Every time I stay here, it's a pleasurable experience. The staff is helpful, and I am always left satisfied.

Was very disappointed with the service. We tried to book a room for one night but the front desk lady seemed lazy and didn't want to give us a room. She complained, she just turned off her computer and would take 15 minutes to turn her computer back on. We left with pure disappointment, because we were tired and just wanted a room. To make matters worse, most motels were completely booked. Luckily we found a room. The Motel look really nice, but I don't think I would stay there. Until their customer service is better, maybe we will. But for now, I would have to give it two star.

Room was not cleaned very good. Hair on bathroom floor. Dirty floor. Heater smelled when turned on. Worse than motel 6. It was late and reservations were already made and paid. Refund would take 3-5 business days. Would have stayed some where else if refund would have been instant.

Room is far from clean. Shower didn't drain. Smelled like someone had been smoking. The woman at the front desk was friendly though. Only stayed because of no pet deposit, and it's really not worth it.

Rooms were pretty shabby, but not terrible.

It is an older motel that is trying to live up to much higher expectations. The staff was great and I have no complaints against them. I have stayed at much nicer LaQuinta Inns in the past. They are a good chain but the older motels are just that-old.

Checked in here after a night at another local motel best thing I ever did, went to my room and heater wasn't quite right called Carmen at the desk and within 5 minutes I was in another room upgraded free. I'll surely return.

Great Price for a Great Room. Staff was friendly and helpful, thanks to the staff my co-worker and I got a discount we did not know about thru our company.

Affordable and about the same amount of comfort you would find in a Best Western. Very solid Wi-Fi network with a consistent 5mb/s and ping.

This hotel's staff was exemplary, answering questions they didn't have to, and even explaining some of the local culture. However, the hotel is understaffed and seems overwhelmed by the surges in traffic from time to time. I had to eait almost 5 minutes for a simple question to be answered while 6 guests checked in. I'm thankful that the handyman happened by, or it might have been longer. Still, they were very friendly and worked fast.

This place is fine if you are looking for a no frills place to stay. The building materials are cheap and the bedding and furniture are low quality, but it was quiet and warm. The staff was helpful. The tub drained slowly and the hot water ran out on me, but if you are not a high demand traveler it was just fine.
