The room was dirty. Did not look like the bathroom was clean. We found trash behind the dresser in the bedroom. The table was wobbly and the chairs on the private balcony were broken. Tried to talk my mom into not staying here for the week, but she didn’t want to lose her money.

Was there for the weekend had a great time. Staff very polite. 2 rooms suite were very nice n yes definitely will stay there again.

Very comfortable beds, very nice staff, close to boardwalk, nice pool and jacuzzi, rooms could be better clean.

Great location and very clean rooms. We found this motel and we will be going back in the future. Pleasant staff, very helpful and a great place to stay.

This hotel made a mistake and “accidently” listed their hotel room for cheap. I found out after confirming my reservation. They then proceeded to make me cancel the reservation or pay a lot more money to keep the room. I called customer service and the lady was very rude. However, from reading other reviews, it seems like I may have dodged a bullet.

The price are affordable with great view and utilities.

The staff/owners have are disrespectful and irresponsible! They messed up my count then said I ceaser”sneaking people in and charged me 387 more on top of the 513 I paid. I’ve been coming here faithfully for 6 yrs and never experience this. This hotel is not worth 800 dollars! Sad to say but this will be my last year staying he’d. Definitely not worth it!

If I could rate this place 1/4 of a star I would. We stayed here during Roar to the Shore weekend and the place was pretty empty. They wouldn't shoal 2 cars to park on the premises (even though the place was pretty desolate). The elevator only worked some of the time so we took the stairs and they reeked of urine. Headed to the room the air coming from the running air conditioning uniun also had a foul smell. The room was so-so at best. The extra pillow and blanket looked like they were 30 years old, the freezer was dirty, the blinds were broken, & the floor was filthy. Never again.

Worst place I ever stayed in at the shore. Sheets were blood stained. Shower head did not produce enough water pressure to wash the shampoo out of my hair. The pool was cloudy and nasty. Overpriced for the lack of quality you would expect in a hotel. Only thing good was the convenience to the boardwalk. Since the beach is still more than 1/4 mile away in the hot sand along that stretch of shoreline.

The place is nice. But they need to inforse the rules on the Hot tub. Kids have to be 18yrs & older. The kids are taking over the pool & the Kiddy Pool. Plus the Hot Tube. All other staff is very friendly. & The other visitors are friendly. The kitchen supplies could. Be better for an efficiency Kitchen. All other aspects are pretty good. One more thing there needs to be more tables around the grill cookout area & tables.

This is a toilet from top to bottom. Got a room and right away saw how dirty it was. Managment refused a refund. The place smells like urine. The rooms are filthy. The elevator does not work. The staff is so rude. Left and went to The Lollipop. That was very nice.

Stayed 2 nights. Rooms were a bit dated but huge and very spacious. The staff was exceptionally nice and really made us feel welcomed. The pool was great and they cleaned it every single day along with the two grills they had outside you could use. The pool had a section for very small kids next to the jacuzzi. If you're looking for a super fancy hotel this is not it, but if you're looking for a great deal while you're staying on vacation with your family this is the place to stay at. We actually went upwards towards Philadelphia and stayed at a Wyndham Hotel afterwards and we actually liked this hotel better. Parking was great. Very short walk to the beach. They made sure you had plenty of clean towels. My child accidentally locked the bathroom door from the outside and they were upstairs within 2 minutes to unlock the door. The continental breakfast was very simple but for $10 extra each night we were able to upgrade to a kitchenette which was great. Full size refrigerator was also a bonus. I searched for several weeks through hundreds of different places before picking this place. If we go back to New Jersey again for vacation I would pick this place again in a heartbeat.

Great place cheap for the stay but over anything great place.

For memorial day weekend my boyfriend and I spent the weekend at this establishment and it has been the worst experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. You cant even shower, because of the water gets to hot as well as the floors being sticky and dirty. They need to renovate and get a better cleaning staff. Prior reviews were spot on, it is so outdated and dirty. The only good thing about this place was the location.

I stopped by to see my friends staying here and really liked the service and how clean it was. Looking to stay here in the future if they have any avaiable vacancy.

Been staying here for years. It improved when new owners took over but seems to be slipping a bit recently. Could use some updates.

Wanted to like it, the reviews were scary. My thoughts: pros, great location, mattresses appeared newer and clean, rooms to fit six. Cons: Wi-Fi terrible, nowhere to hang anything including now towel rack in bathroom, lacking outlets, no outlet besides bed, dish soap was given in a plastic cup not a squeeze bottle, fridge moldy, hardly anything in stocked cupboard, pans dirty I would rather buy my own pots and take it home. Everything is OLD and needs renovation from the outside of the building to the pool, not so hot hot tub, everything. In short knocking it down and starting fresh would be the best recourse. Also. Do not stay during senior week! Woke up to fresh vomit falling from the balconies. Any place that tents to kids is sure to be a dive!

The people are very sociable pleasant and engaging its location is close too the boardwalk, as far as the rooms go beds are comfortable but the deck and room floors are dirty and need better care from housekeeping. The TV leaves some thing too be desired all in all if there's nothing else in your price group its ok , me at home my comfort zone starts with bare feet. If I find myself going I'll bring a bucket and mop.

The place was spotless, location was perfect! The front desk staff was amazing, and great on all shifts. Rooms were cleaned every day. Fresh towels, sheets, etc This was our first year staying, you can be sure we will be returning next year!. In addition to all the great things I said EACH ROOM HAD A FLAT SCREEN T. V. I definitely recommend the Isle of Palms!

Wi-Fi is horrible (only worked while outside on balcony) but I was on vacation so… Room looked like the previous occupants checked out right before we got there. Baby bottles under a bed and something behind a dresser. Found half eaten food in a pot in the fridge. Tile Floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a week. Shower dripped. Pool cloudy. Coffee Room NEVER opened (they do own the buffet up the road so that might be why). Game room had broken games and change machine was out of order. Not worthy of a 3 star but I have stayed in worse places so… 2 1/2.

I've been here 3 times and this will be the last. We got the 1 bedroom suit, their was no ac in the room only in the living room, the kitchen was supposed to be stocked with plates, cups, silverware, ect, and it barely had any, the Queen size bed felt more like a full size, the jacuzzi wasn't working and was dirty and when we went to get the free continental breakfast that they offer, they ran out of food by 9. They've really let this nice motel go downhill.

It is a fair hotel. Booked for the location and hot tub. It hasn't been hot since we've been here. The room is large and the kids are enjoying the pool. Beds are comfy and clean. Pretty average, a little dated but common for Wildwood I'd say.

The rooms are big and very nice with a balcony in the back and front! The pool was clean and cool and the jacuzzi was warm and wonderful. I'll be coming back to stay here every time I vacation in wildwood! The price wasn't bad and they even had a complimentary breakfast in the coffee shop. It's convenient to the boards, piers, wawa, mini golf and more! Perfect place for a family vacation! I'd give it five stars but the arcade they have needs to be fixed or they just shouldn't tell you about it. That is my only tiny complaint!

I've stayed in this motel on 3 different occasions. My family goes to wildwood pretty much every year for vacation so I know how the motels can be. The last time I stayed in this motel was over 4 years ago, and I loved it so I decided to try it again. I'm going home from my vacation today, and I have to stay it was absolutely HORRIBLE. The rooms were completely dirty upon check in. The floors weren't even cleaned, and it was like they didn't even attempt to clean anything. The house cleaning staff smoked inside of the rooms while cleaning. We took showers the day we checked in as soon as we got into our room and we set two towls down on the ground when we picked them up after we were done the towels were completely black on the one side. Cockroach infestation. The water is constantly hot and I know the people next to us were smoking weed in their room and it came into our room. The TV barely worked. It's just NOT what it use to be. Please spend a little extra money and go somewhere worth it.

Nice staff, room is huge and clean. AC is cold, and TVs are newer then what are in pics, front and back room have flatscreens. Balcony is pretty private, would stay again.

Everything was good except when you took too hot of a shower the little bit of rust from the sink went onot the toilet paper.

Place is a dump, rooms are dirty, ac doesnt not work properly. You have no control over the Temp. Of water in shower and sink. In the middle of a shower, water turned scolding hot, had to wait close to 5 mins. For Temp to go back to normal. I couldn't even get them to fix the toilet paper roll holder (it was missing when we checked in) when they tried, it was the wrong one. The door knob to the room was falling off and took a lot of finessing to get into the room. The only good thing is the location. Do you and your family a favor and save yourself the heart ache. Find yourself another place to stay. So you can enjoy your well deserved vacation!

It was incredibly nosey, ppl sitting outside their doors from morning till night. Couldn't even go into the pool bc it was so crowded an routy, kids doing back flips into it and running all around unattended, it was so chaotic, we'll never go here again. It seemed as though the people that where actually lived there as year round.

This place is AWFUL! Dirty, Dirty, Dirty… not to mention the people staying there are HOOD! Constant screaming and banging of the gate grown people cussing and screaming I felt like I just went to a pool in the inner city. Not my type of environment. We had no kitchen in our room and it was disgustingly dirty. I will NEVER waste my money again and unless you are broke and sleeping 10 to a room like most of their guests its simply not worth it! This place is TERRIBLE!

The location is good. Everything else is pretty bad. It's dirty, blinds don't close, dead bolt doesn't lock, looks like the door may have been kicked in, pool is cloudy, air conditioning doesn't work, the bath towels are the size of hand towels, they give one wash cloth per day for three people, rooms are not cleaned daily (or ever), dishes are dirty, hair in the bathroom from the last people who syayed. It takes an hour to shower because the water pressure is so bad. Don't worry though, every few minutes during your shower you will be woken up by scalding hot water every time another guest in a different room flushes the toilet. The beds are terribly uncomfortable and make a sound like thunder every time you move. The pillows are flatter than pancakes. Just referencing pancakes is an insult to pancakes. I'd much rather sleep on a pancake. I wouldn't recommend it or ever come back.

No more! " — AC functions poorly -TV's are low quaility, dusty, and very old. — Coffee maker available, but no coffee is present. — Hot tub doesn't function and very dirty and slimy. — sinks are rusty and dirty -has space for many towels, only puts about 5 hand towels. — faucets don't work properly — blinds are missing their pieces — blankets are old — pillows are flat — charge too much — only about 2 free electrical sockets — furniture doesn't match and are old. — decor is depressing and outdated.

Don comfortable rooms.

We booked a 2 Suite room, for a week. The location is amazing! You couldn't ask for something better. Everything is at the right walking distance. When we first got in at the reception it didn't look really impressive. But the receptionist guy was really nice and helpful about everything (payment, parking spot, guidance). The room were nice, for a party off 4 it was really comfortable, but old fashion… A nice makeover would be nice. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and new bed sheeds if asked. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Loved the barbeque airia. The only thing that we didn't like was the breakfast that was included in the price. Over all it's a nice family place, I would definitely go there again.

Booked the hotel without knowing what to expect. When we made it to our room I found that 2 of the lamps were broken. The first one had a cut off plug with the wires stripped to shove into an outlet and the 2nd lamp's socket was falling out. They replaced them relatively quickly. The room itself was deplorable. There was a condom in the bible. The floor and beds were dirty. We were initially only given 2 small hand towels and a couple wash cloths. I went to Walmart to buy towels and hand soap. The AC only worked in the evening the the outside temperature was low. There were a total of 4 outlets with a tv, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker all on one power strip. The breaker on the overloaded outlets kept tripping off. The back door was broken and could only be opened with a fairly hard hit. The last night we were there the elevator got stuck on our floor, but I was able to trip the door release so we could get out. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They have a strict no refund policy on the wall at the front counter, which should be a warning to anyone thinking about staying there.

BED BUGS! Just got home from our 3 night stay late last night & my poor kids are covered with bed bug bites on their butts, thighs and feet, ugh, DISGUSTING! And on top of it, we never slept under the sheets, we brought our own blankets & pillows, just slept on top of their quilt. I am beyond appauled, never in my life have I experienced such filth.

I called one day during the week to see the price of this hotel and some guy told me it would only be $50 a person and the total would be $300 plus tax. So I call the next day to book the room and some ignorant guy amswered the phone first of he was laughing the whole time I was asking him questions he wouldn't put the manager on the phone when I asked. Also he hung up the phone on me. So I do not recommended this hotel at all. If I could I would give it 0 stars.

Dirty, electricity kept going out. Couldnt have TV and mini fridge on same time. When you tried to take shower toilet over flowed. Swiming pool filthy. Would not recommend this hotel unless you cant afford anythg else.

Nothing about this place was pleasant. I could see thru the room door to the outside so it obviously didn't close all the way. Upon arrival, there were chips in the corner of the "clean" room. The mattress covers were ripped, furniture appears to be taken off the side of the road, beds itchy, sheets dirty and stained. Never in my whole life have I experienced customer service as bad as I did here. They are rude and unprofessional. They don't understand the customer is always right concept. The place is overall run down and should be shut down. The elevator is always wet and smells like pee. Biggest waste of time and money, and they lie like crazy at the front desk. Do not waste your time even looking at this place, there are NO REFUNDS… if you stay here stay in their lobby; it's nicer then the rooms… highly disgusted…

This is the most filthy, horrible place I have ever stayed. There in nothing good about this hotel. It should be condemned. Also, it's unbelievable how rude the front desk staff treats guests. You couldn't pay me enough to stay at this place again.

Wildwood is a fantastic place and staying in the Isle of Palms motel really enhanced that experience. It’s really a fabulous place; the rooms are very clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is phenomenal because it’s close to the beach. Of course, if you have kids, this is one of the best places you could go. It’s a beautiful beach and is really worth going to. That’s what makes this motel so incredible because of its convenient location and the brilliant staff that work there. I couldn’t recommend this motel enough. It’s a quality stay definitely value for your money and wildwood is a fantastic tourist location and I loved my time there.

The pool and hot tub are open from 10am-10pm the room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The motel is about 2 blocks away from the boardwalk and beach, convenient to everything. Will definitely stay again.

Maid service was excellent. The rest of the place is run down, air conditioning sucked. I've throne away better televisions, showers went from burning hot to cold constantly and the pool was like a public pool in the hood. My girls had to leave the pool many times because of the very disrespectful kids and adults.

I liked the place until we got in our room. My boyfriend and I stayed here Friday to Sunday. Once we checked I there Friday and got into the room I checked the room for anything dirty and bugs, FOUD NOTHING thank god! but our floor wasn't clean it looked clean but the bottom of my feet were black. Then we wanted to go for a swim and sit in the hot tub. The kids were going from the hot tub and jumping in the pool. I went down stairs to inform the desk guy, we said something to them but they didn't listen so I went to my room and called him and he wouldn't listen to what I had to say and just kept saying yup yup Just unhappy with our stay we didn't really stay there just went there to sleep.

I have been staying at Isle of Palm for 4 years and I have to say I look foward every year to go. I have had great service from staff and maintanace. Rooms have always been clean. cccccbeencleanclean. And will.

The staff is SO rude! The towels were still dirty and covered in hair from the previous family! The continental breakfast consists of Little Debbie's wrapped up individually and you're only allowed one as staff is there to monitor how much you take. My sisters family stayed in the room next door and it smelled like pot and the staff wouldn't allow them to move. The ceiling was cracked, wallpaper peeling and the stairway was where they stored trash on the ground floor. Save your money and DONT book here. The staff will treat you like crap anyways.

This hotel is awful! The owners are rude and dishonest. The prom package was advertised as a special. There was NOTHING special except that the rooms were terribly overpriced. The water from the faucets was yellow. There was a dent in the wall when we arrived and we were charged $200 for damages. We were yelled at and reprimanded when we tried to report the problems. Stay away from this hotel, they are crooks.

Horrible, old, outdated, poorly trained staff, staff performs poorly. The stairwell is disgusting. Probably never cleaned. Smells like old beer and garbage. My room was covered in sand as I first entered it (not mine). The water in the shower incorrectly read Hot and Cold (was reversed — no notice). The curtain had a large gaping hole in it. The fridge did not work. Beds were pretty much large wooden boards. The swimming pool's ladder to get out was slimy. My foot slid off and crashed against the wall. The continental breakfast was a joke. The girl only put out 2 bagels at a time regardless of how many people were there. Only orange juice was available to drink aside from coffee. There were some pastries wrapped in plastic but they were clearly old and stale — — my friend had one. Terrible experience.

I stayed at the Isle of the Palm for Beach Blast weekend. I paid $200 or so a night for this dump. When I checked into my room, there were mouse droppings and mouse poison on the table and in the drawers, my floor was sticky, boogies on the wall in the back room near the bed, microwave turn plate missing, don't think the sheets were changed. In the other room we reserved for another family, it smelled of urine, food in the sink, blood on the sheets, sticky floors. Another guest room had pubic hairs on the toilet and bed. Our rooms were cleaned after complaining but the beds were not changed. I asked for a new room but was turned down. I asked for $100 off my bill but was told no I could get a continental breakfast instead. I declined the breakfast bc there were mouse droppings in my room and don't trust their facilities. The owner, Tony, was rude and must have little customer service skills. He tried to leave when dealing with 5 dissatisfied guest. He blamed housekeeping for the issues yet he has no policy in place to check the rooms before allowing guest to check in. This place was an absolute dump and the owner needs to learn customer service skills. I do not recommend this hotel.

Worst hotel ever, do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE else. We got there and the beds had sand and crumbs in them (clearly never changed), they had to completely strip the beds and change them until they were clean. I'd have left the hotel entirely if I didn't know for a fact they'd not refund a dime, and we just couldn't afford that kind of hit. If they ever swept the floor I'd be surprised. The staff was completely unconcerned about the quality of the cleanliness, offered a free breakfast (a whopping $20). Wow, thanks for nothing. A free night would have been the thing to do, since it was almost midnight when they were changing the sheets. I've never been so disgusted in my life. And will absolutely never stay there again.

My family and I stay here for the week of July 4 and the best time. The accomidations were actually better than we had expected. We were pleasantly surprised by the layout of our rooms (full sized fridge, pull-out sofa and third queen sized bed). The towels were old, stained and hard but they were always plentiful and fresh (I recommend bringing your own). One worker there named "Tony" was, although he didn't speak much english, especially pleasant and helpful with any request we may have had. We were vey happy also with it location so close the boardwalk, restaurants, entertaiment and for those who cared to drink a liquor store barely a block away. It rained a couple of days there so we didn't have many opportunities to take advantage of the outdoor pool or attached jacuzzi. It was really nice to see so many families there. The game room was a favorite of my younger cousins and the continental breakfast every morning was a fav of another family member. Overall I highly recommend The Isle of Palm. As with my family I'm sure you'll be happy you stayed here. We'll definitely be back.

We come to Wildwood each year for a family vacation. Now our children are grown, and the grandkids come too. We have stayed in many nice (and not so nice) places, but this would rank as one of the very best. It was very clean, very comfortable and very affordable. We had a large suite that included 2 King, 1 double and 1 sofa bed, so it was very roomy. On two of the six nights we had 9 in our group (6 adults and 3 kids). The staff was wonderful as well, our compliments and thanks to Pat and her terrific team of people. I have seen the other reviews that were not so good. I wonder if they selected the right place to review. This place was really a great find, and we are looking forward to returning next year.

Hi I just cheak out yestrday and now im home! I cant wait to write this message. I really miss wildwood and isle of palm motel. Everythinnk was perfect especially the employees were nice and the room's clean perfect the pool wow! blue like the sky. Thank you so much for make my vacation so perfect I come next year again ^_^.
