Reviews of Delta Hotel Philadelphia Airport 3*
I like the Renaissance chain… But this one is due for renovation. The location is great, the pool is awesome (so my kid tells me), restaurant offer a decent variety of food. They now charge parking, which I dislike… Being a long time Marriott patron, they tend to upgrade me. But I always stay away from the room upgrade at this location… A small TV 20 feet away… and a table in the middle of nowhere next to a microwave — no idea what is the purpose of that table… I have so many ideas how that layout could be redesigned… Anyhow, I always request the regular King Bed rooms. Decent place for the bucks. Staff is always SUPER nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I was gonna give a 3 stars… but felt bad for the amazing service I always get when I am there… so 4/5!
Staff was nice. Room was big. A/C didn't do the job. VERY stuffy. Bed was fine. No microwave or mini fridge. Room needed to be renovated. Shuttle very convenient.
Good: Hotel is clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bad: No morning amenities like coffee in the lobby and parking costs $10/night. Room coffeemaker is garbage and hotel wanted $5 for earplugs, which are free at every other hotel. The lack of complimentary coffee in the lobby was the biggest negative — it's a business/airport hotel. Add morning amenities (good complimentary coffee and toast) and don't charge for items like earplugs and this could be a 4 star review.
I booked through the app hotels tonight which stated check in is at 3:00 p. M. And check out is at noon. On the day I was Arriving called to check in early at which point they informed me the check in is actually at 4 and check out is 11am and that hotels tonight is incorrect and they haven't updated their site but if I go to the hotels homepage it's clearly stated. She was incredibly rude, if they allow their rooms to be sold by third parties like hotels tonight and they are aware that party has a different time listed they should make them fix it or honour how it was sold, not inform the customer it's not their problem. Otherwise like most of the other recent reviews the remodeled lobby looks good and in person the staff were helpful and nice but the room looked dated and the cleanliness (sheets/bedding) was kind of sketchy. Otherwise it was pretty average.
2 nights. Hotel rooms are outdated and have that sort of mildew smell. Cob webs on lamp, stained carpets in hallway and room. Furniture is seriously outdated and entire environment is sort of putting off the downhill vibe. Lobby was decent but beyond that, this was a huge disappointment. Regarding staff, good luck getting room service line answered and expect rudeness as in, "Your bothering me" type attitude. Good point: It's convenient to the airport. Won't happen again, and if I was going to stay more than 2 nights, I would have moved to a different property. I am Marriott elite status, and this property was a massive disappointment for such a respected brand.
Well it’s an old hotel so you won’t find the room to be too good. The area is good and no bad smell around. You need luck to find a parking closer to the entrance after 8pm as the hotel is pretty popular. If you are above Gold status you can go to 1224 for the complimentary breakfast. The food is fine and the staff is really nice and kind people. I had that breakfast and also the breakfast item on the first floor. The food quality is good and won’t kill you but won’t make you surprise anyway. The room is old and ceiling is low inside. They have the powerful flush of the toilet! Go ahead and feel the power!
The staff really go above and beyond to meet your needs, the rooms are clean. The pool is great, although the pool area could use some more frequent tidying. The restaurant buffet at breakfast time is alright, they offer a decent spread but they could definitely expand. What really makes it great are the waitstaff.
The hotel manager Carrie Harrington has not returned any calls or emails from myself or other friends. I stayed at the Renaissance Philadelphia Airport hotel from May 18-20, which is rated as a 4-star hotel in the Marriott hotel. My experience was more of a 1-2 star hotel and I am requesting a full refund and/or points for a future stays. Seems hotel was overbooked and not enough staff and maintenance people to fix all the issues. First when I made my reservation I called on May 17th at 10pm and 10:11pm. The first time I called I wanted to make sure I booked my stay right and spoke with a female she told me to call back after I made the reservation to add my roommates name to the reservation since the online system may mess up the reservation. I called back at 10:11 pm and spoke with a male. He added my friends name to my advance purchase reservation. At checkout my roommate and I both noticed we BOTH had an $150.00 hold on our cards. Found at that the male I spoke with at 10:11pm had messed by my reservation and did a split reservation on our room. As of today I still have the $150.00 hold on my card due to the mess up. When I originally checked in I was not given a parking pass even after requesting one, I had to come back to the front desk later that evening and put my parking pass in my car. Next, I went on four different floors and there was no ice.
I've visited this hotel several times through the years. It was recently taken over and renamed the Renaissance. The remodeling is exceptional! In addition there is valet parking. Even though it mentions Philadelphia Airport it's really located right across the street from Independence Center. I think that area is called Old Town. Anyway there's a lot of history there great restaurants you are also right at Penn's Landing. The staff is helpful and courteous. I highly recommend you book a stay at this hotel you will not be disappointed.
Never any issues! Very friendly and accommodating staff! Shuttle drivers are great. Rooms are comfortable. Large clean bathrooms. Concierge breakfast hot and plenty with wonderful staff there too!
I would give this hotel zero stars. I booked here because the photos of the lobby etc made it look very nice. Let me start by saying the staff is top notch but the facilities are the worst I have stayed at in a long time. The lobby was beautiful but the rooms were extremely dirty, stains on the floor, walls you name it, toilet barely flushed and I was afraid to get in the shower. The AC never cooled the room and the noise was unbelievable. The feel of the hotel was just short of a brothel, people roaming the halls all night long, yelling, in and out of rooms. Marijuana everywhere. We even had to evacuate the hotel when the smoke alarms went off due to all the pot. I will never return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone.
I would give a 5 except the heat in the pool was out of whack so the water was freezing. I love the decor! Food was good. Free Shuttle service to airport, then catch train to downtown. No worries with traffic. Staff was professional. 4.5 stars.
Pretty expensive for what it is. The truth is that the service is very good and they are always at your disposal. Totally next to the airport with shuttle service at any time. The rooms are quite clean and the beds are very comfortable.
Newly renovated lobby area has great character. Very comfortable place to relax and wait. The rooms and general set up are pretty impressive. The counter people are very helpful and engaging. There's sometimes doesn't seem to be enough parking.
Beautiful hotel with convenience to airport. Friendly staff, especially Otis the bartender and Kenny the engineer. Both went out of their way to accommodate us. Only complaint was the bathroom; sink ran slow and the toilet did not seem to flush properly. Kudos to the pizza in the restaurant; flatbread margarita. Excellent!
Best rate for long or short term parking at any airport hotels of its stature. Hands down, no one can compete. Shuttle to and from the airport is complimentary. Shuttles run twenty-four hours a day to and from the airport, with a minimal wait time both coming and going. The rate of the room was within par. The room was a little outdated but it was very clean. Lobby and foyer were very modern. Definitely will stay here again depending on the parking.
The lobby was beautiful. Room was slightly out dated but very clean. Pool was definitely not heated. The one waitress at the restaurant was the rudest person I have ever encountered, while the rest were extremely pleasant. The night time shuttle-bus driver James was extremely helpful and raised my review a whole star by himself.
The staff was friendly and the shuttle drivers were great! The location is so close to the airport and only 17 minutes to downtown. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a very nice stay and would definitely go back!
Front desk don't care about you. We stayed 8 nights no refrigerator nor microwave in room. Room attendant don't come half the time. Beds were comfy but small. I wouldn't spend my money here again. Dining room or bar at night is over priced and drinks are watered down. Better to go to an outside bar and get better quality and cheaper. I will never stay here again… I would stay at days inn rather than here.
Very nice hotel. Everyone was polite. I came to Philly to bring my team to a dance competition. Keep in mind that our team travel and stay at hotels ruffly twice a month. Well if you know like I do, kids are a bit louder than adults and my kids was very happy after winning at the event. To make a long story short, the soundproof walls was a blessing. Thanks Renaissance. (Sorry for being all over the place with this message)
The hotel overall is good. The room is clean and the lobby is big and comfortable. The bed is really comfortable. But if you need some nice food you have to drive a little far to find a decent restaurant.
Really a 3.5 hotel Clean, but dated. Staff very professional and polite. On site restaurant above average food and drinks. Rooms are comfortably sized. Free shuttle to airport. Very quite and no airplane noise. Slow elevators. Really the only knock against the hotel is the dated decor, otherwise it would be a solid 4.
This Renaissance needs help … ordered a turkey club twice with NO BACON… guess what? Bacon each time. Not sure if the staff is just ignorant or completely disregards customer requests. The food took ONE HOUR to get to our table and there were four people in the bar/restaurant. The rooms are a bit dated but acceptable. Why does their menu have so many deep fried appetizers — everything is grease laden. Not sure if the idea is to give all guests a heart attack by the time they leave.
Best rate for long or short term airport parking! Hands down, no one can compete! Shuttle to and from the airport is complimentary. Shuttles run 24 hours a day and wait time was minimal both coming and going. Room rates are within par. The rooms are a little outdated, but they are clean. Lobby and foyer are very modern. Definitely staying here again based on the parking.
Very nice hotel away from airport. Very plush lobby. They have a nice restaurant and an indoor pool. Balcony in the room is a nice touch. Two queen beds and a large bathroom. Very elegant look to the Renaissance.
One of the biggest and nicest rooms I have stayed at! Get a room overlooking the pool! I stay at Marriott on average 80 nights a year for work and this is my favorite. Service at the restaurant sucks but everything else is top notch. Patrick at the front desk is one of the best guys you will ever meet. I don't remember many names but this guy… Amazing!
Definitely not up to Renaissance hotel standards. I am a platinum elite member and have stayed at this hotel 75 times in 2017. Outstanding staff. Very friendly and helpful. But rooms are worn and dated. I've had to report multiple maintenance issues this year. But rooms are clean. Fortunately, hotel will be converted into a Marriott Delta hotel in 2018. Total renovation. Patrick is the best front desk staff I've had in 30 years of traveling!
Our stay was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable beds. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet food was ok. Only problem we experienced was in the pool. My girls feet were cut several times. Something sharp on the bottom of the pool floor. Not sure what it was.
Spectacular hotel, my credit card reward points got me a free night here and I was very impressed by what the hotel had. The lobby is luxurious and very well decorated, there's a restaurant right there beside the lobby too. The room was clean and had all the necessities but it would be nice if it had a microwave, but the room was clean and the bed was soft to sleep in.
All the staff were amazing. However, Shane and Patrick stood out and took really good care of us. The shuttle is available 24 hours a day. It can also take you to local bars, restaurant, and conveniece stores. Spacious rooms and beautiful lobby.
Worst dinning service I ever experienced. Key card wasn't set upon arrival and went up and down to fix. Then had fire drill at 315am and didn't get back to sleep until 530am. Up at 6am and found my bill with check out 1 day earlier than what my confirmation had. Asked desk clerk at 630am if I will have a problem when I get back from my long days meetings. 6pm back to hotel room and keys don't work again. Back down to get fixed from manager and asked if there was going to be any compensation for all the aggregation I certainly don't expect from a MARRIOTT property. Advised only 2500 points (Asked for a free night at least for all the issues or 25, 000 points. And got big fat Nope). Free breakfast, which is free for my status anyway, and $20 from bar or restaurant which we all know about the 2000% markup already so that equalled to about $5. Food was good but certainly not at 5 star prices.
The hotel is beautiful. We have a balcony and a view of the pool. The room is spacious and clean. Not so great customer service. The lady at the desk was rude but we were able to check in early and when we got to the room they had the door open for us. They charge $75 incidentals fee for each night. Parking is included. Overall I would come back to stay.
The staff were all very wonderful. Nicole, the housekeeper for my room, was very professional, friendly, and went out of her way to be helpful. I really appreciate everyone going above and beyond, helping someone from out of state to have a great experience in the beautiful city of Philadelphia.
I arrived about 2 a. M. In the morning. I was very tired and worried about still having a room. I was greeted by a gentleman I had talked to earlier and a very friendly and accommodating Oriental lady. They made me feel right at home. It has been a very long day and when I got up to my room I was so comfortable the beds are comfortable the accommodations are comfortable and the people are wonderful. While downstairs the m Oriental lady that greeted me made sure that I knew about the complimentary breakfasts and dining in the evenings I have been here for 3 days and the people have just been as accommodating as can be. I want to thank the Renaissance and their staff for the comfortable and nice surroundings that they give us.
More in line with what I'd expect from a Courtyard. The rooms are mostly nice, but nothing special. Seems like a renovation was done to an older building, but completion and maintenance weren't thorough (elevator). The whole thing needs a good scrub down, starting with the restaurant. The hotel seemed severely understaffed, though the few employees there were courteous and professional. Where is this mysterious Club Lounge that no one mentioned during check in or when I asked about breakfast? Convenient to the airport and good for business meetings, but not so much for tourists. Could be an amazing hotel, but not quite there yet.
Staff was great except for the light skin guy at the front desk he made me feel like I shouldn't even got the room. The lobby was beautiful which made me think that the rooms was nice. I got 2 rooms I was suppose to get a free breakfast they gave me a hard time about that. I was put in the wrong room. My room keys stopped working. The rooms smelled liked old people and they were dirty. The Lady at the pool was wonderful the pool water just needed to be cleaned. I've been trying to reach someone from the corporate office and still no call. I would only recommend this hotel because the staff was friendly.
The lobby area of the hotel is amazing but gives you a false sense of what you're in for. The rooms are no where near as nice as the lobby. They're good but not in the area of 4stars as the hotel is rated on Google reviews. At most it's a 3 start hotel. It has a decent sized room but it is very noisy most of the time due to poor door fitment leaving gaps in the floor of the doorway. The bathrooms aren't great either, and it doesn't even have a vent. The staff are extremely nice and the rooms are clean, but overall it's not wort paying more than 120 a night.
We have one more night left to our stay, but I'm fairly confident the staff and hotel will continue to knock it out of the park! This place is clean, comfortable, well stocked. The staff has gone above and beyond to make our stay spectacular. The decor and the lily pond outside are my favorite parts. Breakfast buffet was hot and fresh, bed was comfy. I will definitely be back to stay here next time I'm in Philadelphia!
Modern metallics with lots marble. Fancy. Staff was informative, courteous, and helpful — even though it was midnight when we checked in. Rooms are clean and neat. Bathroom was also clean. Some wall paper peeling, but that was it. AC worked well No breakfast buffet, unless you wanted to pay $18.00 for it. Big parking lot, but well lit. Shuttle to airport available. A bit pricey, but worth it. Definitely would stay here again.
So the lobby, pool and public areas are immaculate and incredibly well designed. The rooms were decent. The room wasnt perfect but certainly not the worst. The room keys were tough to get working and elevators were slow and clumsy. I took off two starts for the key malfunction debacle and the super slow elevators that I had to wait for and take the multiple times the room key refused to work (It was that much of a pain to get them to work). I definitely wouldn't have paid full price for the rooms.
Decent hotel, just don't arrive too late in the evening as you will probably not find parking. Staff is nice and competent. Make sure your air conditioning works or switch rooms. Our a/c did not and while the engineer did fix it as best as possible, it did not work throughout the night causing a restless "sleep. " I didn't want to disturb my roommate so didn't call for the engineer's return, but turned out she couldn't sleep either. On the upside, the breakfast was very decent with an excellent omelette chef.
Very good scenery, a lot of nice decor. The pool was decent, a little cold but has a nice view. Staff was very professional. Overall good experience.
Rooms smell like mold, where clean and stuff was on the place where it was supposed to be, Courtney on the front desk was helpful and courteous as its appropriate for her line of duty but all other people who where working there did not care very much about anything and they where thugs dressed in work uniforms; Bar is the bright side of this establishment, bartender was very professional and helpful to the end; So I would say if you have a choice and few extra bucks for better hotel surely avoid this place;
Convenient to airport. Guests can take hotel provided shuttle to airport with free parking. Rooms were clean and decor modern. Staff friendly.
Clean room, good service. Reasonably priced. The only thing missing was a hot tub. Great airport shuttle service.
The bar in the hotel is amazing! Fantastic service and great food. The bed was comfortable enough but I really want a fan of the pillows. Order extra.
This was my first stay at a Renaissance Hotel and I was expecting it to be upscale and luxury. However, after staying a night I personally didn't feel that it was worth the price. The shuttle was slow to pick up from the airport. Rooms were ok, but felt old — like a glorified Holiday Inn. There was nothing special for the price paid besides Aveda products in the bathroom and they gave you a water and a pretzel when you checked in. I would save your money and go elsewhere.
The hotel's location was perfect for getting an early flight out… No hassle of getting to the airport in the morning. The room was very clean. The staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable when answering questions. My husband and I were able to print out our boarding passes for our flight in the hotel lobby, which was really convenient.
Overall, beautiful and comfortable lobby and was easily able to handle a few hundred wedding guests. Service left a bit to be desired, and it seemed grossly understaffed. I didn't see the rooms, but the event rooms were okay.
Okay hotel. Not the best around. Rooms need more outlets by the bedside. In-room Wi-Fi costs money.
I've read the reviews and I disagree that it's the worst hotel. It is a standard, in my opinion, hotel that is close to the airport if you need an overnight stay close by the airport. I would agree, however, about the temperature in the room, it was too warm and hard to sleep and I had a fan delivered to get through the night. The staff was really accommodating and asked if I wanted to changed rooms at 3am but it wasn't something I was interested in doing at that hour. Thank goodness for good ole fans! As for the prices in the hotel bar, ridiculous! The prices were as if you were dining at a 5-star restaurant, $36 for a steak! I would highly recommend the hotel to readjust their pricing. I was, however, late arriving and didn't have a choice other than the bar. The food was good.
I am standing here in Philadelphia at 1:47 am, having just flown in from Chicago nearly two hours before. I am a single woman, traveling alone. No car. Despite having a confirmation number and an email showing that I have a reservation I made with the 1-800 number for Marriott International to have stayed here from Friday to Saturday night, this hotel is refusing to honor it. How is this even possible!? Not only that but the entire exchange took place with a completely rude, unprofessional, and distasteful woman named Angela. She immediately brushed me aside. Refused to speak to the 1-800 customer service (which I called three times) for Marriott International. Lied and told everyone that the reservation was for Saturday night. She has been shrieking at me, telling me that I am not "in her system, " showing zero empathy or kindness, yelling that they are full, and refusing to offer any alternatives. She has repeatedly gone into the back room, throwing tantrums that she "can't deal. " She honestly deserves to be put on a serious suspension. If not fired. I have *never* been treated so poorly in my whole life and am just glad a lot of it was recorded on the 1-800 number.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well kept. Overall this hotel seems a bit antiquidated from both the style of the rooms and the level of technology present. Hotel bar was very overpriced.
Very nice hotel. Local motels are much cheaper and dirtier. This place is spotless. Comfy sheets and pillows, all the amenities and a pool. Wi-Fi is not free, and the food is overpriced, eat out instead. Airport shuttles are frequent.
We were there overnight before a flight out. The staff were courteous and helpful, and the room was quite nice. We took advantage of their valet parking for our car, too!
This hotel is quie interesting. It has a 1776 meets the year 2050 sort of vibe. The staff are friendly and energetic. It would have been a nice stay, If it wasn't for the manager this evening. We had a small get together with my stepdaughter and the girls that my non-profit serves. Its actually both of our birthdays this weekend (daughter and myself). All was going fine. The girls were having pizza and wings, when the soon to be discovered racist general manager came to complain that there were too many people in the room and complained that it was against the fire code. We offered to book an additional, third, or even fourth room, and Mr. William Hamby refused. We were met with excuse after excuse. He then stated that they were "cracking down on this sort of thing". Yup Mr. Hamby, 6 teenage girls eating pizza and honey barbecue wings? He then became irate with multiple parents who were there to chaperone. He left us with no choice but to then leave in the middle of a snow storm. Check the Philadelphia weather for feb. 12th 2016. Now I'm not one to scream race however in this instance I do believe that this was not handled in the most effective manner especially since there were many alternatives offered. There were many non-melinated people there "partying" for Valentines day weekend and they didn't have an issue. There was no noise or any other inappropriate behavior. Just teens enjoying the evening.
This was absolutely a horrible experience I took 6 teens in my non profit program for a night out and the racist front desk manager by the name of William Hamby really showed his true feelings! If your a person of color DO NOT GO HERE! Unfortunately there were a few really nice staff but as a business owner I will not book another room ever! Not for myself let alone the thousands of clients I host for my nearby business office. I don't recommend this place to my worst enemy! Thank god I have access to other facilities we just simply got our money back and left even in the midst of this snow storm!
We’ve flown out of Philly airport at least 5 times over the past 7 years, and every time, we stay here, at the Renaissance. Their rates aren’t very competitive, but the military discount makes it doable, for us. Plus it is way nicer than the other hotels in the area. It’s very modern, clean, well-lit, and welcoming. It is incredibly quiet here at night, and the bedding is as comfortable as it gets! Makes for a great night sleep before (or after) travel. We also appreciate that we can leave our car here, and use their reliable/timely shuttle service to (and from) the airport (only a 10 minute ride to airport! ). They seem to attract the business traveler crowd (maybe due to higher prices? ) so it cuts out most of the usual hotel nuisances (vacationing families with oodles of yelling kids, loud party animals, etc. ). So in a nut shell: convenient, quiet, clean, comfy, with friendly staff.
Clean comfortable rooms, with a friendly staff. Would have given 5 stars if the curtains would have been better at blocking out the morning light.
Quiet and away from it all. I recommend it if you're in need of hiding from the world. Staff was very helpful too. The little pond beside it was a joy with the winter geese hanging around.
Recent renovations definitely updated the hotel. Close to airport and convenient.
Nicest hotel I've been to in a long time. Service was excellent. Didn't stay overnight. Visited for a training seminar. Breakfast service was outstanding. Muffins were stale though.
There is nothing to like about this roach motel! It needs to be stripped of the Renaissance name. It is infested with bed bags, the employees are rude, and the airport shuttle is horrible and slow. Don't waste your money or time!
Front desk went out of way to ensue we were happy. Good clean rooms.
Don't do it! Don't be fooled by the renovated lobby! If you are looking for the Marriott brand to be represented here, please pay extra and go elsewhere. We read the BAD reviews and decided to give it a chance anyway. You know, the Marriott brand is pretty reliable. We checked in the newly renovated lobby in which it was decent. We mentioned to the staff about the reviews and they seemed clueless about the bad reviews. Nevertheless, we checked in and took the elevator up to the 10th floor. We get off on the elevator and the floors looks like the TV set of That 70's Show. The temperature on the floor had to be 85+ degrees which was warmer than the outdoor temperature. We go in the room and it's the same. There's popcorn ceilings, the ceiling had water stains, scratch 'n dented furniture, the couch had liquid stains, wallpaper was dated, and I could on and on. Overall, we felt like we were in a Motel 8 or perhaps a Motel 8 would be an upgrade. In essence, this is not the Marriott brand we have known. We went out and returned to the room with a bottle of wine with a note. The note stated, "We hope we "WOW" you! ". Although a good gesture and appreciated, we had to laugh because it doesn't take away how we felt about the quality of the facility. *The only reason I gave them one star is because there is no zero star option or even better, a negative scoring option.
Overpriced considering lack of and outdated amenities. Staff was courteous. Hair on bathroom floor. No visible video surveillance. Suggest anyone look elsewhere.
Great place for the emergency night I needed, friendly staff and good bar.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! BEWARE! Their service is horrible and the rooms are not even CLOSE to worth the money they charge. The water that surrounds the hotel smells disgusting and has a thick green film on it. Also, the service at the bar was horrific! It took forever to get our drinks and our calamari appetizer smelled like they caught it from that smelly green pond that surrounds the place. When we gave it back to the bartender she agreed it smelled horrible. The server never came and apologized. In fact she came and let us know she was eating it in the back and she thought it wasnt too bad to try to make us feel like WE were the unreasonable ones. I never write bad reviews but I have to about this place. We had another couple of things that were very horrible but I will save you the time. Just trust me. Pick another hotel. There are plenty in the area that are better. Any place would be. I called and spoke to the general manager and he gave me the most scripted apology I have ever heard. He just went on to make excuses and tell me how great they were. I see why the place is full of incompetent people. It's run by one.
Not what you would expect for a Renaissance, the rooms are very old and out dated. I stay at Marriotts all the time and I would say even Courtyards are nicer and cleaner rooms than here. My windows in my room have finger prints and food on them. And my air did not work at all the first night. But, I have to say the gentleman who came to fix it was very quick to respond and very pleasant. The public areas are nice, but the rooms just need some TLC. So as long as you set your expectations to be a very outdated hotel, you will be fine.
I love this place. I stayed here for a 2 day conference and was very impressed with the front desk staff who were so helpful and friendly. As a matter of fact, everyone was so friendly including the housekeeping staff. Every time I saw one of them they were cheerful and smiling. The airport shuttle crew were totally awesome, too. The hotel was beautiful and clean. Including my room. I read some of the negative reviews and. While I'm not discounting them. My experience was far more pleasant. I would definitely stay again and would encourage others to check them out.
Absolute filth. I wish I could attach pictures to this review of the filth in my room. This is one of those hotels that has a nice looking lobby but when you get to the room you know you've been duped. I gave management the opportunity to make it right when they sent me out their scripted apology but they never responded. The apology is probably something they have automated to send. Stay away from this joint unless you only other choice is the street. I would choose an airport terminal bench or floor before here though.
We had our daughters pre wedding event here in May 2013. Let me say the management here is not to be trusted. They promise you anything and everything and deliver nothing! There are so many things they messed up, that I cant begin to detail all of them. We had booked this hotel well in advance, and had reserved several rooms for our bridal party. They screwed up the reservations, and many guests were made to wait for their rooms. Incredibly, even my daughter (the bride) did not have her room available and had to wait for an hour and half to get it! We had welcome bags for our guests that were not delivered. The sound system in the ballroom did not work properly, even though we had visited the place several times and made several requests to Stephanie Shivers, the Sales Manager, to make sure that the sound technicians knew what equipment we were using. I cannot count the number of times I asked her questions about the sound system etc. But at the event, the sound quality was very poor and some of our friends had to hustle and try to fix the system! To top it all, the Event Manager said he had no idea we would be using the sound system (after our event! ) We had asked for breakfast vouchers to be given to the guests (well before the event) so our guests could eat before departing. The hotel staff never collected the breakfast vouchers in the hotels restaurant, so they had no count of the number of guests. They ended up overcharging me for the breakfast!
One of the filthiest hotels I have ever had the displeasure to visit. Upon check in the hotel clerk was rude and disinterested in answering any of my basic questions. Outside the door to my room was a mess of sauce and pasta approximately 10 inches in diameter on the carpet that obviously had been left there for at least a day. I counted at least 5 pieces of gum rubbed into the carpet. There was mold and rust in the shower. The floor tiles in the bathroom were broken and lifting up causing me to stub my toe when barefoot. There was an accumulation of hair in one corners of the room and it smelled of stale cigarette. When I asked the front desk if they could provide me with a clean room they told me they were full so I would have to deal with it. I asked if they could call the other Marriott hotel by the airport for me to see if they could get me a room there and they said that was full too and would not help. I called the other hotel myself and immediately got a room. The only bright spot was the night supervisor Jamie who apologized profusely and offered to refund my money and help get me to the other hotel. Overall this hotel is seriously worn down and about 30 years out of date. Until it goes through a complete renovation I would not recommend anyone stay in that hotel unless you like picking up a bed bug infestation.

We had accommodations for one night at the hotel. Check in went smoothly, but when we got to our room it had not been cleaned yet. The hotel apologised and upgraded our room to a suite. The room was clean and the bathroom was a good size as well. I would definitely come back again.
