This is literally the most DISGUSTING hotel I have ever been to! Immediately left as soon as we got in our room. I called down to the front desk and told the lady “Michelle” that it was the nastiest room I’ve ever seen and she said “I’ll make a note about it”… we will be getting a refund and I will be calling the health department and whoever else I need to to inspect these rooms! We left and paid for another room! Would NEVER recommend anyone stay in this hotel!

Friendly staff, big rooms and a full kitchen! It accommodated my family well!

BE WARNED, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL, IT IS UNINHABITABLE! I recently booked a 1 night stay at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham near the Philadelphia airport. This was rated as a "Good" property on booking. Com's website (it seems someone from the hotel posted multiple positive reviews on booking. Com's website, thereby falsely boosting their rating). This place is uninhabitable (or as the front desk woman put it, "run down"). Stained mattress with little blood marks that I can only imagine came from bed bug bites, stained sheets, stained towels, a bathtub that was backed and up and wouldn't drain, cracked drawers and shelves that were literally falling apart and crumbling to the touch and, just to cap it off, they were unable to provide a pillow for my daughter's pull-out bed because they didn't have the keys to access the pillows. We stayed in the room for less than an hour before deciding it was too disgusting and left to stay elsewhere. I told the woman at the front desk the situation and she was actually very friendly and completely unsurprised that I wouldn't want to stay there saying the place was "very run down". She admitted that this was an ongoing problem. She apologized and said no problem and that she would update my file. I contacted booking. Com a few days later to make sure the charge was refunded and booking. Com and the hotel essentially said, "nope, that's your problem that the hotel was uninhabitable. " Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else.

It's a very big and nice room. Coffee maker and coffee. Full Kitchen. The staff is very nice. We were at a hotel in NYC that was twice the price and very small. No coffee in room or lobby for anyone. If I came back to Philadelphia I would definitely stay here again. 5 stars.

No brotherly love at this hotel. In booking a room on line, the wrong date was booked. Immediately recognizing this when the confirmation came in, I booked the correct night and attempted to cancel to wrong booking. Upon arriving the night of. Our stay, we were told we'd have to speak to Michelle, they do not give refunds. Numerous calls were placed. To the hotel, each time we were told Michelle handled cancellations and she would not be in for several days. Our calls were. Never. Returned. So we disputed the charge on the credit card. At which time the credit card company removed the charge. When the hotel was notified they found time to send in documents to the credit card. Company on their no refund policy. Customer service. Is not a concern for this hotel. An honest mistake was made when he first. Night was booked. An immediate attempt. Was. Made to rectify the error and a room booked for the correct error but hotel management atthis hotel is greedy and poor on customer service. Stay somewhere else whe visiting Philly.

This was the second time we stayed here, and we love it. Clean rooms with a full kitchen (including a large refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher). Comfy beds. And an outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast is also excellent. A lot of variety and deliciously made. And there's parking! (This is the reason why we didn't stay in downtown Philly. )

Room was nice. Kitchen was clean. Fireplace was a nice touch. A lot of the doors didnt close properly but it was very humid. I would recommend getting a few extra towels as soon as you arrive but overall a nice place.

This is a fantastic place to stay in this area. Less than a mile from airport! Full kitchen and living area with very comfy beds. Many movie channels to choose from (HBO, Cinemax, etc. ) will definitely stay here again, especially by the week. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful! A++

The hotel was nice. It is very close to the airport so you do hear some of the louder planes inside the room. The staff was very friendly and the outdoor pool was a nice bonus on a hot day. Overall I would recommend staying here.

Um. There was about 2 screws missing from a window. Stains were on the sheets and carpet. And people next door stayed outside for the entire day drinking and doing who knows what till 12 AM screaming. I could hear them just outside my window for hours and they were so loud. One of the men involved with the drinking crew appeared to be wearing a jumpsuit. Breakfast had like two options. The pool looked pretty sketchy. The room was also outdated. The scenery was pretty bad. Just don't go here.

While the property could use a facelift, it is clean and a good value for the area. Be sure to get to breakfast 10 or 15' before it ends as they tend to start cleaning up early. A light dinner is available Monday through Thursday evenings. Units have a full kitchen including dishware, utensils, and pots/pans (those are in the drawer under the oven). No elevators so request a ground floor room if you want to avoid a flight of stairs.

The hotel is conveniently located across from the airport. The rooms are standard and in the process of being upgraded. However, get ready for a questionable attitude from the front desk staff. After coming back from a long day at work to a dirty room, my husband was told that current guest rooms could not be cleaned when they have a large number of check-outs. I completed a negative Google review regarding their unpleasant attitude and unresponsiveness to the guest. As soon as the General Manager learned about it, we were given less than 24 hours to vacate the property. You can do a lot better by picking another hotel if you expect to be in town for an extended period. Otherwise, be ready to be evicted when your expectations do not align with their unprofessionalism.

Pungent industrial chemical smell in room. TV remote did not work. Wallpaper peeling in bathroom. Toilet seat extremely uncomfortable — have to be 6 ft tall for feet to touch floor — or be prepared to just perch. Someone pacing back and forth in room above at 2:00 AM. Breakfast sausage seemed to be days old.

It was a ok experience. I paid way to much to stay here. Very old and run down. Smelled in my room and toilet was broken. Breakfast wasn't good. The lady at front desk was great. I wouldn't pay $175 for this place again.

Spacey rooms, staff is very nice. Close to the airport, and Wells Fargo is about 8 minutes away. Not a lot of restraunt options, but hey you have a full kitchen to cook in. Oven, stove, dishwasher, and full size fridge. Bring some throw away cups, not many glasses. Silverware is provided.

The rooms themselves were excellent for an extended stay space. Conveniently located near the airport, although the sure area is a wasteland which is why it gets only 4 stars. Would definitely recommend though.

We booked the hotel last minute because we our flight in PHL got delayed. We got a decent price and were able to walk there from the airport. For this price the hotel was way better than we would have expected. It is a large suite with stove, oven and it was equipped with plates and cutlery. The bathroom was fine and the Wi-Fi was pretty decent. I can definitely recommend this place.

We just stayed here March 9th and it was perfect for us! We were picked up quickly from the airport by MT who was amazing! He was so sweet and helpful — he took our luggage all the way to our room. The space was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast the next day had quite a few choices for each of us. Then, when we wanted to spend the day touring Philadelphia, they graciously stored our luggage. After touring Philadelphia all day, MT drove us to the car rental place at the airport so we could continue our vacation. We definitely recommend staying here!

I dropped my Mother-in-Law off there. She was staying overnight though; she had an early morning flight to catch and this was easier than driving to the airport really early the next day. She said it was a nice hotel. From what I saw it looked great on the outside. More like condos than the usual hotel.

I travel at least 5 times a year and I have to say that this place was the best hotel I've ever stayed at! The place was very clean and very roomy! It was a suite, so it was larger than most places I've stayed. I wish I could have stayed longer.

My sister stayed here on NYE. It was a very nice two bedroom suite, with a full kitchen. Full size refrigerator and stove. They held her deposit, even though the room was left spotless, because another guest complained about noise. Which made no sense because the deposit was supposed to be for any mess left behind. Nice room, but I would not spend my money with these people.

The breakfast was actually surprisingly good. They had a ton of different coffee options, fresh fruit, and whoever cooked the eggs (omelets one day and something else the other) did a fantastic job. The rooms were way nicer than I was expecting, the TV's had tons of channels, and the kitchen was a pleasant surprise. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi cut out at night and in the morning. Other than that, everything was fantastic.

Our experience was different than those I see. The customer services was excellent all around, aside from asking for another television cord to be installed on day one. At day five, our departure day, still no cord. The room was a different story. We had a two bedroom suite for $169 + fees a night. Almost $1000 total. We found two different pills on the floor and a chicken nugget. The silverware was put away dirty. The bathroom door was disgustingly dirty and there was hair all over both bathrooms and there were no bathroom trashcans, odd. When they repainted the room they didn't paint behind the window curtains and didn't remove the pictures (So the picture frames had paint swipes). I think this just shows how little quality control there is. There were no extra trash bags in the room. The door to the outside seemed like it had been kicked open several times, to the point we left a family member outside to see if they could get in. Thankfully the door just shook like crazy. When we filled the dishwasher it just about fell over on our foot because it was not attached. Finally the breakfast was terrible. Microwave eggs and sausage. My husband ate the sausage and was just about sick. Only eat what is prepackaged. Even the coffee tasted weird. Honestly at $170 a night and being a Wyndm property we expected SO much more. We will not be back, we hope Wyndm really looks at an honest thought out review from a family with 2 children.

This place was amazing! DAWN the lady at the front desk was just excellent! Warm and welcoming very spacious rooms! I know where I will stay when I go back to Philadelphia! Go Eagles!

Well appointed comfortable rooms. As one might expect the sound of planes is noticeable but not problematic. It would be a good place to stay for a while providing one has a car.

Nice spot. Clean. Spacious. Has personal kitchen which is awesome. Petsonal entry like a condo. Quiet area. Loved it. Only 1 issue. Shuttle starts at 6am and stops at midnight. Trying to find a safe ride from airport after flight landing at 1am hard. Then a had to be at airport by 5am. Otherwise, its a very nice hotel. It cost me $25 to get to airport. And I got on the shuttle from Double Tree hotel thats next door to Hawthorn. It just happened to work out.

Literally right next to the airport, rooms are a little outdated and could use some updating. Breakfast left a lot to be desired and front desk was pretty slow. For an overnight though, it was a place to sleep.

They charge a $35 fee for each night before your stay in case you do damages, this means you have to work off the trust system that they won't keep your money. The room we stayed in while spacious was wrecked. The ceiling fan was not attached to anything and didn't spin, mirrors were cracked in either room and firdge was littered with dents. When I tried to inform the front desk of these damages they stopped writing down what I was saying about half way. Front desk woman was rude, she told me that all hotels in PA do this charge before you stay however none of the other 3 I have stayed in the area did so. She argued with me over this.

Friendly staff at the counter, I needed more towels and it wasn't difficult to get them. The room seemed very clean, although the sink had a very slow drain time & the area is patrolled by security staff (which does make me wonder why they need that element in place). While I understand taxes. What I don't get is this extra $35 a night charge. If it is a mandatory charge, have it listed in the total cost not something extra you get hit with when you arrive. Lastly, when arriving to our room, we saw some staffed members in the room across the hall. They seemed to be startled by our arrival, and rushed out of the room. This made me a little uncomfortable as it seemed like they had no business being in that room. Our trip was to Philly, and we ended up spending a lot of time traveling between attractions, we might stay inside the city next time. However, if your flying out of Philly Int. It might be a good spot to park n fly.

We stayed overnight to catch a flight the next day. The rooms were a good size and we're once very nice however it seems they have not been maintained for years. Things were falling apart, the carpet was bubbling, the bed was uncomfortable. The service was nice and people were kind.

Great location. Decent continental breakfast. Rooms could use a good deep cleansing and new carpet.

I give this a 5 this place is awesome the staff is welcoming and polite the dinner that they hold every evening is good included with a free breakfast the traffic you can hear from the road but it's not like you can't sleep they have a kitchen and everything you need to cook big walk in closet nice sofa. The bed is soft not firm and I slept like a baby. I have nothing bad to say about this place every employee has spoken good morning good evening they even have their own sercurity firm here to make you a little safer. What more can you ask for… The cleaningness is good no problem.

Staff up front very friendly. The property itself needs updating and a proper cleaning. Walking up to our door, the outside light is hanging, cob webs everywhere, it hasn't been swept for a very long time — not a good first impression. Inside definitely needs some tlc, repairs and deep cleaning. The sink would gurgle very loudly when the neighbors used their water. I called the front desk and the phone didn't work well, I could hardly hear him. The janitors had already left, so we either had to move to another room and take our chances it was worse than this room. We opted to stay. It is very convenient if you are flying out, as airport is literally across the street. Bed was somewhat comfortable. It is a good size for a hotel suite. It was a decent price, but you get what you pay for. I'm not so sure we would stay here again. I did take a video of the sink gurgling, but don't see how to add video and pics.

The staff is incredibly disrespectful. I was placed in a room right above the laundry room. The entire room was shaking for 10-minute periods from 12-6 PM. The shaking was so intense that bottles would fall and I needed to hold my laptop down on the table as I typed, otherwise it would move around on the desk. The first time I called the front desk I was put on hold for 10 minutes and eventually I hung up. When I called again the employee dealt with the situation with a very patronizing attitude. At the end, they did not accommodate me, because it was too late in the day (it was ~3:15 PM). EDIT: When I went to the lobby at 6:00 PM and was explaining the situation to an employee at the desk the person I talked to on the phone, who turned out to be the supervisor, told me the person I was talking to was done talking to me (without his consent) and told me "you are free to leave the premises now. " I had never experienced such treatment in any type of business, ever. Hawthorn and/or Wyndham hotels, never again.

While the suite we stayed in was a bit older the high rating for this hotel close to the airport is for their shuttle service. We had to take a bus into Philly and connect to the airport with Septa. Calling for the hotel's shuttle service from the terminal it made it easier getting to this location. They also had a free dinner available which adds to the economy of this accommodation.

Suite was clean and spacious. Hotel staff was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was pretty standard but was in a warm and sunny space.

The management needs to take complaints seriously. The dishwasher was not only not anchored to anything but the door was broken and came crashing down on my husband's foot leaving him injured. This hotel is not only run down, neglected and dirty — but dangerous as well.

It's a nice hotel at a convenient location. When researching, it had the best rates for free parking and breakfast. An added bonus was the outdoor pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable. For the price, they need to do some upgrades though. The towel rail fell down when I took the towel off, the dishwasher was broken and certain fixtures look dated and don't work as well (taps). The description also said fully equipped kitchen, but there were no pots and pans whatsoever to go with the fancy stove/oven. Housekeeping also came super late, we had a 2 night stay and they came at 4.30pm. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Well placed location with free breakfast and dinner. Small kitchen very useful and quiet setting while still maintaining that home-feel. Staff very nice and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend if you don't mind driving into the city. Also you don't have to pay for parking ad you would in Philly.

This is a very good place to stay on an extended trip or to bring the whole family to the city. It's pretty much an apartment complex with unit rentals of whatever size you need. The room I had was a queen studio. The grounds were nice and we'll kept with nice gardens and a pool with tennis court and picnic tables. There is a small selection of food and snacks for sale in the lobby as well your stay includes breakfast.

Affordably priced with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. It was also right next to the airport.

The room is great, pretty and spacious. The staff are courteous and helpful, the breakfast is sufficient and gives you enough time to get up and go grab something, the fitness center is well equipped, and the Wi-Fi is strong. The grounds are beautiful, it looks more like an apartment complex, which makes everything that much more comfortable.

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever visited I came to visit my sister who came from va to visit me and celebrate her birthday, so Saturday 3/12/2016 my sister in law and I came to the Hawthorn Suites to pick/meet up my sister and her friends to go out for her Bday when we first walked in main entrance the young lady at the counter apparently seemed to have an attitude (Being a Hater) as I would put it. "I say excuse me" and I didn't have my glasses on so I couldn't see, why did this girl give me a head nod (like what's up) and I know she didn't cause the second time I said excuse I squinted a little to see if I really seen her head move up like what's up but I am child of God I asked my question smiled and went about my business if you have cameras look it up.

This hotel was probably worth the fee they charge… 12 YEARS AGO. First, no where on their website do they indicate the room has an external entrance (which means every time you open the door leaves, debris and cold air enter) its almost as if they were trying to conceal that fact. Rips in the carpet throughout the room, I had to go buy Lysol wipes to clean in areas that the staff did not. I was completely underwhelmed and at the least I want to say something nice about the staff, and while I don't have anything bad to say… it is what it is, a rundown property. Hawthorn should be ashamed.

Room was kind of dirty. Carpet had rips everywhere. Hair in the bathroom/tub (thick curly coarse ones, yeah those! ). Asked for late checkout and was told one pm. Phones rang at 1130 to wake us up saying they needed to clean the rooms. I was like wth no you don't obviously given the condition when I got here. I either expect a place like this to be immaculate or to be left alone.

Hawthorne Suites at the Philadelphia airport provides clean accommodations and plenty of room for 5 or 6 people in a 2 bedroom suite. The furniture, cabinets and vanities are in need of an update as well as the lighting. But overall the stay was quite pleasant. There was a fireplace in our suite and we were able to find a duraflame log at the nearby rite-aid for a nice cozy evening.

I experienced a nice front desk clerk. Free parking right outside my well cleaned room. I would return.

Employees great, free breakfast epic, quick check-in yes! The only thing I didn't like? The rubber glove left on the side walk for 2 days.

Awesome place to stay. I enjoyed the front desk staff and the shuttle drivers. They made the stay more convenient. The room was clean, spacious, and it had a full kitchenette. They had free food on a weekday for a social event.

We stayed here for 3 days while moving into the Philadelphia area. We were attracted by the convenient location, fair price, and especially the "pet friendly" statement because we have two little pups moving with us. These are nice, comfortable suites with plenty of parking. You really have everything you need in your room other than food; we were surprised to see that the room also had dishes, cups, silverware, and even a dishwasher to wash them in. They also offer shuttle service to the nearby airport, which gives you access to public transportation into the rest of the city if you like. There are really only two downsides to these suites that I find worth mentioning: 1) "Pet friendly": This place advertises itself as "pet friendly, " which in our experience typically means that they allow you to crate your animals in the room with you for the night. What they don't tell you until you get there is that there is a large pet fee (that for us cost more than one night in the room) associated with being "pet friendly. " They have nice side yards to walk your pets around in, but such a large fee seemed exorbitant considering they don't really go out of their way to accommodate pets. 2) "Free warm breakfast": I can confirm that they offer a free warm breakfast to everyone staying at the suites, but it's not what we expected.

Worst hotel stay I've had in over 15 years! The room was dirty and I had to ask the staff 5 times in 2 weeks to clean the room. They even told me you get No Service on the week-end, if you remain a guest. The TV went out and it took the management 3 days to get it fixed — without any compensation or sincere apologizies. The Staff was completely unprofessional and only made up excuses why they couldn't provide better service!. I had a fex-ex package delivered for me and the front desk didn't even let me know it arrived. I asked 2 days later and then they gave it to me; same when the TV was finally fixed. Nothing, until I happened to turn on the TV and it worked. I was there for 3 weeks for business. NEVER again! I did bring my chijuajua, as it is a pet friendly hotel, and the front desk told me they would not charge me the $150 since it was a 6 lb dog and I was a "Gold" member. Then, when I told then how unhappy I was with the service; they charged me the fee as a punitive measure! The hotel used to be nice when it was a Marriott; the kitchen staff was friendly; so I returned. But that is one mistake I will NEVER repeat again and urge you all not to make the same MISTAKE.

At morning breakfast in the lobby, my daughter and I were accosted by a security guard who stopped us from bringing our bowls of oatmeal to our room. He cited the reason of "rodent control" and pointed to a paper sign taped to the door that said no food was allowed in the rooms. I replied that these are SUITES with KITCHENS so how could there be no food allowed? He said we could bring "our own food from outside and cook an clean up after ourselves, " but we couldn't bring our breakfast to the room. I then went to the front desk, where the young woman agreed with the security guard and cited "health reasons, " saying that they couldn't be responsible for people getting food poising from eating the breakfast they provide in the hotel suites, because people might let it sit too long and then blame them. My daughter and I obediently ate our oatmeal in the lobby. I took an apple for the walk back, and the security guard came after me, and yelled, "I saw that but I'm gonna let you go. " After paying top dollar for a hotel room we were treated like criminals. Total nonsense. I would never recommend this hotel.

The people that work for this hotel are like family.

I stayed at the Hawthorne Suites, airport location in Phila, Pa. On October 23rd for one night we were supposed to stay for 3 nights. On the pull out couch the mattress had MOLD and STAINS the front desk finally exchanged it after 2 calls an hour later even the guy exchanging mattress wore gloves he didn’t even want to touch a mattress that your hotel expected us to sleep on. Then I discovered that the shower curtain also had MOLD on it. I talked to the on duty manager, Michele Desher –Yost, I showed her the pictures, she apologize, but thats it. Later that day I discovered bite marks in 6 different spots looking at the mattress pictures again they may bed bugs. They should spray that room.

I had the displeasure of staying at the Hawthorne Suites 09/20/14 and checked out at 09/21/14. We were celebrating my sisters 37th birthday. We were here at noon hoping that our request for an early check in would be granted. However to our dismay that did not take place. That was not the real issue the lack of customer service and empathy was appalling. After several request for a manager and being told there was none on site. A woman approached the front desk, she did not introduce herself, nor did she ask what the issue was or ask how could she be of assistance. She stated that the room would not be ready until 3 and that's that. When asked her name she stated that she was canceling the reservation because she was the manager. Michelle was her name and I advised her that every action has a reaction and a consequence. Your front desk lacks customer service skills. The individual was rude, abrupt and cold. There wasn't an ounce of apology. I have stayed at many hotels and never have been treated with such disrespect. I will be sharing this experience with my family, friends, co workers, church members as well as social media.?

This was the worst experience staying at a hotel management has no customer service skills rude and ignorant our room had bugs we where not allowed to enjoy our stay without security knocking at the door if I can minus stars it would be — 5 our room smelled like Marijuana when we walked in never come here not worth the stay.

This was the worst experience I ever had in my life. The front desk staff is so ignorant and don't have no customer service skills. They need to send them to training. The supervisor is more ignorant than her staff. We couldn't even enjoy ourselves without the staff knocking on our door. I don't recommend anyone to stay there.

The people that work here are ignorant … The front desk workers are unprofessional no manager available the whole stay there. You can even talk without security knocking on ur door asking you to b quiet bc their walls r thin and they want you to open your door so they can see how many people u have in your room… The kitchen was not supplied with pots &dishes. So I suggest no one visit here its not worth the headache.
