Service for a Gala Event and food was great.

Christina at the Westin Governor Morris deserves a shout-out for being so helpful through our long two year process. Christina was there for every question and concern. She was so helpful when we had to postpone our wedding from August 2020 to August 2021. She and Emile were wonderful when time was getting closer and my endless requests for the hotels that were booked seemed daily. Thank you for all of your help and support. Everything went wonderfully the whole weekend! From our hotel bags, to our stunning presidential suite and junior suite to the shuttle back and the breakfast the morning after. Thank you for everything!

Not up to Westin Standards. No customer service and cleaning standards are lax at best. Choose wisely and stay elsewhere.

A good place to stay. We came here to celebrate a wedding and the arrangements and guest services were good. A bit of a disappointment was the attitude of front office staff.

Not sure where to start… I was given a accessible even though I checked in 2 days ahead of time. The room is hideous… Elevators are scratched up… no club lounge… not worth the rate.

We attended an event at the Westin and the staff in the catering hall were incredibly unpleasant and unhelpful. Whether asking about a food option or explaining a nut allergy they were rude and dismissive. Our entire table was shocked and disappointed—thankfully the people holding the event did a great job.

Wonderful rooms. Became snowed in for the night, could get food delivered in, but hotel was not willing to heat up food that was not purchased from room service, which was really expensive due to the additional 11.50 to bring the food to the room.

We went to a Bat Mitzvah here and it was wonderful to have everyone at the same hotel. The twins loved the pool, And the outside pool area is private and well laid out. The coffee service was not great but we survived. Overall a good experience.

This building I'd consider historic since it's a very old building but the rooms have been updated. Having said that, if you like space, you're out of luck in the bathrooms. The toilet and sink are super tight then there's a huge space as you enter the door that is not being utilized at all. There's no space at all on the sink to comfortably out your toiletries. The room I was in, it seems they tried to update the edges of the bath tub using the caulking but it looks old and dirty. A plus: The actual room is big enough for a king size room. Another plus: Parking is plenty Another main issue is that for the price you pay a day for this place, there's no breakfast. You just pay for the name here, I'll stick to Sheraton for now.

Impromptu stay while driving back from PA. Great hotel in a very nice area. Check in was easy and friendly. Would stay again when in the area.

Stayed only one night. Didn't eat there but did spend some time at the bar. Very nice staff. Room was very nice.

I was at the hotel to pick up a client for transport to Newark Airport. Parking lot and grounds were well kept. Great location less than 2 miles to downtown and interstate highways. My client spoke very highly of the accommodations. He was notably impressed with his "comfortable" king size room and the Blue Morrel Restaurant. All around great experience. I'd definitely do business there again.

I stayed here for my cousin's wedding. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed. I would definitely recommend it.

It's 12:30 AM. I have to be up at 7. There are sustained noise levels in my room above 70db because of a wedding reception being hosted on the 2nd floor. I'm told this will last until 2AM. Don't get me wrong, I'm someone who enjoys loud music at least as much as anyone else. But I prefer it in a venue dedicated to, and advertised for, that purpose. Not in a place where people are, like, trying to sleep. Were this a cut-rate hostel in southern Spain catering to British binge drinkers, I might not be so upset, but it's a (rather pricey) Westin hotel, and I had expected better.

My room was lovely the spa package was excellent and my food and drinks from the restaurant the Blue Morel were fantastic. I would stay again and again and again. The rain head shower in my room was the topping on the cake. Loved it and I will return. The staff were very warm and welcoming a terrific experience. Thanks.

Evening ordering service suddenly worse, the restaurant taste is actually good, but the people on duty at night simply do not care about your feelings, long known should not be tipped. Send the wrong thing, send the leak, order point at the time three or four times do not say clearly. Hotel is good, bed is OK.

Comfortable hotel with which meets expectations for a Westin. Fittings are a bit dated but otherwise no complaints. Fitness center is well-equipped for a hotel (weights, treadmills, cross trainers, bikes).

The Westin Governor Morris is a beautiful hotel in a great location. I was there on business and it was convenient for me from that perspective, but I couldn't say if it was convenient for other sights. However, it is a great hotel.

The hotel was really nice and much larger than I originally anticipated. Its unfortunate that the pool facilities are outdoors & can't be used year round. That said, the staff was very nice and accommodating and the location is really convenient / close to restaurants in Morristown. I would definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again.

Blue Morel, good service, excellent food, raw bar and a nice private dining room. Bar area is good for a quiet drink. This is just for restaurant, hotel is NOT good.

Westin Governor Morris is the best hotel to stay for after your wedding if you have it in the area! Clean, accommodating staff, delicious breakfast in the morning, and Kelly was a joy to work with! Michelle from My Limo was also wonderful to deal with to set up shuttle services from my reception to the hotel! Look no further than the Weston Governor Morris. Affordable for high quality!

I give it a very generous 3 stars. The lobby is beautiful. But the bathrooms I can touch all 4 walls standing in one spot. Probably the biggest insult is being charged $12 a night for Internet. Even Motel 6 gives you free Internet.

Excellent hotel! Very large room (we got upgraded due to there being fewer guests over the holidays) very friendly and helpful staff. Quick & easy check-in. Ample free parking. Tea/coffee making facilities and restocked generously. The hotel shuttle service is an excellent edition which was extremely helpful to us when we needed to drop our hire car off but also get to the station with out luggage. Would definitely stay again!

Went for a holiday work party, free food and drink for everyone. Building was nice, coat check-in was easy to find, food was actually good considering there were 300 guests! Didn't stay over or use any facilities though.

Pretty lobby, good restaurant, good service. The rooms are dated and need some rehab. The shower handle was literally coming off the bathroom tile and this was after we were upgraded to a suite. The rooms are clean however and the bed is the standard very comfortable Westin heavenly bed.

I've stayed at a couple Westins in the past. Very simple rooms, which is fine for the little time I stayed. There was a few odd items that didn't allow me to give five stars for this specific location. The front desk told me they needed a card for accidentals (which I 100% agree is fine) and told me anything I had from the mini bar or snack plate would be charged to the room. I was looking for an adult beverage because I had just drove for 3+ hours to get to my meeting and the mini bar and snacks were completely empty. Otherwise my stay was fine. Just maybe some minor communication, and I will stay there again.

What a beautiful and spacious hotel. The room service food was great. We visited to get ready in the bridal suite. The service was wonderful and they were very accommodating. I would definitely go back!

My husband and I attended a wedding thus weekend. The entire staff was very attentive, the food was awesome! The hotel is very very clean, the rooms also! We definitely recommend this place to everyone! Great place to have a wedding!

Dusty blinds and cleaning marks on furniture made me question cleanliness. Ordered medium-rare steak from room service and received steak that was Chicago charred outside and blue inside. Great service from entire team.

Nice hotel, but the room was a tad tight… Had to turn sideways to walk in front of the bed but the pillows and bed was very comfy. Bath amenities with the aloe were a nice change and the lavender oil for Sleepy time is great!

We worked with Kelly at the Westin Governor Morris to coordinate our room block for our wedding weekend. We chose the Westin for our room block because of the quality and the fact that they provided seamless shuttle service for guests to and from our wedding venue. Our wedding was during Labor Day Weekend so I was concerned that it would be difficult for guests to book rooms, but Kelly made the process extremely easy. She was always easy to reach and responded to all questions immediately. We even ended up hosting our farewell brunch at the hotel — the room was beautiful and the food was excellent. Every part of the process was seamless and the hotel provided top notch service from start to finish. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding room block and brunch!

Was here for a wedding and found the facilities to be up to the task. The main event hall is large about to comfortably seat about 150 guests and the dining hall is equally spacious, probably a bit more spacious. The seating arrangements were done well and on time. The service was also great. Overall, as the event guest, I have nothing to complain.

Solely customer service based rating. When I called and made my reservation over the phone my credit card info was stolen and the person went on a shopping extravaganza in New Jersey only a few hours after my reservation was made. I called and made a formal complaint and was told the person I needed to talk to wasn't in the office at the moment but they would check into the situation and follow back up. I never heard a word, didn't even receive an apology. A month goes by and I still don't hear anything so I bring it up when I am at the hotel. The woman at the front desk didn't find any notes in my reservation that there was a formal complaint so I make another one, and once again no apology. Finally, two weeks after my stay I get a phone call telling me that there was no breach in their system and that I needed to follow up with my credit card company if someone had stolen my card information (I had contact my bank over a month ago when this originally happened but thank you captain obvious). So I had to point out to the hotel for a THIRD time that I didn't make my reservation online so of course they didn't have a breach in their system it was the person I had talked to over the phone or a person that had overheard my phone call. I would advice anyone thinking about staying here to definitely find another hotel.

Room and common areas were clean and very comfortable. Business services are nice but they charge for everything… renting a meeting room and want to use the television to project a presentation? That's extra. Need to print something… it'll cost you about a dollar per page.

Do not stay here, they do not honor platinum or gold guests! this is the worst starwood I have ever stayed at. I was extremely disappointed at the service, quality of rooms and lack of upgrades for Platinum guests. I have stayed here multiple times including when the hotel and parking lot was empty, and they always claim "corporate guests" have all the rooms. I forgot to mention the front desk appears half asleep or uninterested and lack of training at customer service. I have stayed at better cut rate hotels than this Westin.

A beautiful hotel, the beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows gave me a better sleep then I've had in a long time. The room I had (with two queen beds) was a great size and the bathroom was nice. It had an ah-mazing shower and the room had television and Wi-Fi. It was an extremely comfortable experience. My only complaints are that room service costs a fortune, far too much in my opinion. Around an extra $6 or so for ketchup and the bath is a slide door that has a very visible gap, so the privacy isn't 100%. Overall, my experience at the hotel was amazing and I loved it.

Spent 2 nights here for a friends wedding. While not the worst hotel I've stayed at, it certainly wasn't the best. Spent the first night being woken up by teenagers screaming and running up and down the halls through the night. Front desk seemed to care less the next morning. AC wasn't working right and made a high pitched screeching noise while running. The sliding bathroom doors require brute force to close and open. To top it all off, one of the complimentary bottles of water in the room already had the seal cracked and a sip taken out of the bottle. (I'm sorry, but that's just gross) I'm not a person who normally complains, but by the second night I found myself wishing for my own home and bed. My expectations were so higher going into the stay, especially given the cost of the room per night.

Great stay overall. Female bartender and manager in the morning spoke in the corner for a good 5 minutes ignoring me even after making my presence very well known. Waiter had to come over to point me out before they decided to wrap up their conversation. It's frustrating when you're just trying to give someone your money for their product they are selling and they just don't seem to want to provide. Other than that my stay was great. Rooms were spacious, clean, came with sufficient amenities.

The hotel is very appealing and the desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bed, linens and pillows were fantastic. The facility is immaculate and attractive.
The $23 breakfast buffet as well as the service in the Blue Morell were underwhelming. The hostess told us that things off the a la carte menu would take at least 30 minutes because there was only one cook. I believe this was just to push the very ordinary buffet. One late comer ordered off the menu and only waited a brief while. I asked for hot water for a tea bag taken from the buffet twice, to no avail. There were no offers of additional coffee for others. Strange when they proudly promote Starbucks. They have many weddings at this hotel but if this causes the kitchen to be short handed, they need to rethink hiring procedures.

Had a fantastic experience hosting my wedding at the Westin. Julie, the catering manager, was so helpful and responsive throughout the process. Everything went so smoothly. The food was amazing and the beds were comfortable. It was such a pleasure having the wedding, hotel, and next-day brunch all in one beautiful and convenient. Location.

First room had urine in the toilet. 2nd room had a hairpin and granola on the floor, and nasty streaky stains down the inside of the bathroom door. Bathroom had no cent fan, and was tiny. Reported all issues to tge desk but never heard from the manager.
Housekeeping made an unholy noise in the hall early in the morning. They would not shut up on what sounded to be walkie talkies, I heard them through the earplugs I was wearing. Will never stay there again.

A pretty traditional hotel that may have passed its peak, but still a great place to stay. The restaurant is pricey, but vey good.

I travel all the time for business so I am constantly working with managing reservations. Unfortunately I had to cancel my stay here so I went into our company's booking tool. I guess it timed out because the cancelation never went through and I was charged a no-show fee. Being a platinum member and a first time offender, I tried contacting the management, hoping that the kind people of Starwood would have mercy since I have always been loyal. Nope. They pretty much spit in my face and treated me like a child. I don't know about the hotel, but the management is dreadfully rude.

Went in for a wedding on a Saturday and decided to go early spend the night on Fri because I was traveling over 250 miles. So I thought id upgrade my room to a deluxe and boy was I wrong. First thing I do is look out the window through the blinders as I move the blinds down with my finger. My finger finds the window cracked in half and I cut myself. I go downstairs after a 6 hr car ride to tell the front desk what happened and only 1 lady showed me remorse. Then they switched me to another room that wasn't as nice as my original one. Overall bad service in every aspect of this "hotel" Awesome wedding however.

Worst service I have ever had. These people that work here feel that they are entitled or feel the need to belittle patrons. I had a compliant about cigarette smoke in one of the rooms. The manager never reached back out to me nor did they apologize for my troubles. Will make sure to never come back here again. The rooms are decent at best.

Christina Rodriguez and the staff at the Westin were awesome to work with. I had such a memorable day getting ready for my wedding thanks to her and helping to set everything up perfectly. My guests loved their accommodations, the shuttle bus was so easy to organize through Christina and My Limo, and the post-wedding brunch was the perfect final touch to a perfect wedding weekend. Thanks, Christina! Highly recommend the Westin Governor Morris.

Stopped in for a drink and a shrimp cocktail appetizer at the bar and were charged $70! We were never handed a menu with pricing and the bartender kept leaving the bar unattended. Awful.

For a smaller town hotel, this place was great. The service was so accommodating, the staff was really friendly and it was clean and had great amenities. If you're traveling in this area or have a wedding/large event where groups need to stay, I would recommend staying here.

Credit card information was compromised at hotel and fraudulent charges were made. Conclusion based on not having used that specific card for over 2 months and then having charges in Louisiana and NY within 72 hours of checking in at front desk. Advised hotel staff that was either a member of staff taking the information or that their card processing system was compromised.

Ive stayed there twice. The place looks really nice. The room is nice for a hotel of this sort. But the last time I stayed there I really did not have a great experience. The thermostat was broken in my room, so I could not turn the heat off or lower the temperature below 75. Thank god the room had windows that could open (which is pretty rare). It was 9 degrees out that night, but I had to sleep with the windows open. There was also a CRAZY amount of light in the room. The smoke alarm had this incredibly bright blinking light that was like a landing strip signal that I had to wrap a shirt around just to dull the brightness. There are also lights all along the top of the ceiling (i guess for safety? ) Then I was given a complimentary breakfast the next morning because of the room trouble and it was pretty disgusting. This was the second time eating there as well and I remember the first time not being so great. It was buffet style. The bread and muffins had fruit flies all over them. All of the food looked stale and old. The hot stuff was obviously all frozen reheated garbage. The omelette station was pretty gross too. I just don't think I would like to return to this place.

This is the worst 5-star hotel I've ever been to. Me and my family payed full price for 3 people, and the hotel just gave us an additional air mattress with no blankets and pillows. When we asked for a blanket they said there were none left. I mean seriously, a 5-star hotel kept no additional blankets in the storage room. Shampoos and bath washes took forever to come. The rooms look very old and the especially the doors looked very outdated. The washrooms had no locks made me very sad. The breakfast was very bad, fruit flies were flying around and was on the blackberries. Wifi was very slow.
